Abstract

This research investigates how Islamic philanthropic institutions employ digital persuasive communication strategies on Instagram to bridge the critical intention-behavior gap following public trust deficits. By integrating persuasive message design with an extended Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), this study examines the impact of institutional trust-building, visual social proof (social norms), and instructional clarity (perceived ease of transaction) in predicting digital zakat behavior. An explanatory quantitative survey was conducted among 385 active Instagram followers of Rumah Zakat Indonesia, with data analyzed using the PLS-SEM algorithm. The findings reveal that visual social proof, manifested as a digital bandwagon effect, is the most dominant persuasive predictor of the audience's zakat intention. Crucially, trust-building messages lack a significant direct effect on actual behavior, requiring the audience's intention as a full mediator. Furthermore, clear instructional communication regarding digital transaction functions as a 'moral nudge' that directly facilitates spontaneous giving. To optimize digital philanthropy, persuasive communication campaigns must move beyond generic transparency claims and prioritize influencer-driven social proof combined with frictionless digital call-to-actions.

Abstract

This research uses a survey method that will explain a trend, attitude, or opinion of the population that will be described quantitatively and test the relationship of several variables. Seeing the phenomenon related to digitalization faced by MSME, this study aims to measure the level of digital marketing literacy of MSME towards digital marketing adoption through perceived benefits, perceived ease of use, and intention to use digital marketing. The target population of this research is MSME in Pangkalpinang City who have participated in digital marketing training. This study will use path analysis to test the hypothesis and determine the amount of influence of the independent variable on the dependent variable. The results show that overall digital marketing literacy does not have a significant influence on digital marketing adoption through perceived benefits, ease of use and intention to use digital marketing.

Abstract

This research explores the Pasar Digital Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (PaDi UMKM) platform, a notable B2B procurement platform that has attracted 127,000 MSMEs. Despite this, internal data indicates a significant participation gap. We applied a qualitative case study method, conducting interviews with employees and MSME actors, observing employee routines, and analyzing platform documentation. The study aimed to understand PaDi UMKM's innovation characteristics, development process, and communication strategies. Our findings categorize the platform as an innovative product, aligning with Rogers' innovation characteristics. Its development process is comprehensive, involving insight gathering, problem identification, research, idea generation, approval, testing, and launch. Innovation communication efforts were divided into five stages: knowledge, persuasion, decision, implementation, and confirmation. These were executed through various channels like social media content, brand activation programs, external collaborations, and MSME educational mentoring to foster sustainable adoption. Key barriers to long-term adoption identified were low digital literacy, platform bugs or errors, and administrative incompleteness. The study emphasizes the critical need for active involvement from diverse stakeholders to ensure the platform's sustained success.
