Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the creative thinking process of male and female students with field dependent (FD) and field independent (FI) cognitive styles in solving mathematical problems based on Hayes' theory. This research is a descriptive study with the subjects being two male and two female students in class VIII MTs Darul Ulum Bandung, each of whom has FD and FI cognitive styles. The results of the research show that male FD students' creative thinking is based on flexibility, visible steps in planning solutions, being able to explain the various strategies used, originality, visible steps in implementing plans, determining new strategies in solving problems according to their own opinion, elaboration, visible steps in evaluating plans and evaluating results. , provide an assessment of problem solving planning. The results of the research show that the creative thinking of female FD students, namely originality, shows the steps in implementing the plan, and can determine new strategies in solving problems according to their own opinion. elaboration There are steps to evaluate plans and evaluate solutions, provide assessments on problem solving plans so that ideas are more detailed and provide assessments of problem solving results. Abstract

The research aims to analyze: Whether or not there is an influence of using the Memorize Trigonometry Fingers teaching aid on the motivation and learning outcomes of class X students at SMA Negeri 1 Ngronggot. Quantitative research, carried out using the normality test, homogeneity test, t test, Mann Whitney U test, r test, Spearman's rho correlation test and determination. Student population of SMA Negeri 1 Ngronggot class X. Sample of students in class X-3 and X-2. Focuses on Trigonometry of special angles in the first quadrant. Hypothesis research results: There is an effectiveness of using the Memorize Trigonometry Fingers teaching aid on learning motivation of 1.6%, including very weak. There is an influence of using the Memorize Trigonometry Fingers teaching aid on learning motivation of r = 0.126, including a low level of relationship. The direction of the relationship is positive, meaning that if the motivation value of the experimental class is high then the motivation value of the control class is high, and vice versa. Hypothesis research results: There is an effectiveness of using the Memorize Trigonometry Fingers teaching aid on learning outcomes of 0.0001%, including very weak. There is an influence of using the Memorize Trigonometry Fingers teaching aid on learning outcomes of -0.567, including a moderate level of relationship. The direction of the relationship is negative, meaning that if the experimental class learning outcomes are high then the control class learning outcomes are low, and vice versa.

Abstract

This community service is motivated by the problems experienced by the partners. The partner of this community service is SMP Negeri 1 Jombang. The problems in question are: (1) Students have difficulty understanding statics material, especially in finding the mean, mode, median and quartile of single data. (2) Statistics board learning media (PATIA) has never been applied to statistics material, especially to find the mean, mode, median and quartile of single data. Therefore, the solution that will be implemented by the community service team as a form of community service is to apply PATIA learning media as an effort to strengthen conceptual understanding of statistics material, especially to find the mean, mode, median and quartile of single data for class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Jombang. Learning media is a learning media used to convey information related to statistics material, especially to find the mean, mode, median and quartile of single data. PATIA learning media is expected to help make it easier for students to abstract and understand statistics material. The implementation method involves three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The results of this community service are that the PATIA learning media can strengthen conceptual understanding of statistics materials, especially in finding the mean, mode, median, and quartiles of single data. This community service activity has a positive impact on teachers and students through the use of PATIA learning media in the classroom. Teachers' skills in implementing PATIA learning media and student learning motivation have increased, and this community service activity helps teachers deliver material in a practical and easy-to-understand manner.

Abstract

Learning media serve as tools that connect teachers and students in the learning process. Previous studies have shown that learning media allow students to participate directly in learning activities. Therefore, the Polynomial Counting Board (PHP) can be used as an instructional medium for performing polynomial operations, enabling students to engage more actively and accurately during the learning process. Through the use of PHP, students are expected to be more careful when solving polynomial operation problems and more involved in classroom activities. This study applies the Wilcoxon test to examine the effect of PHP on students’ learning outcomes, a test that has not been previously used in the development of similar learning media. The research uses a quantitative approach with an experimental method and a One-Group Pretest–Posttest Design. The sample consists of students from class XI Science 1 at MA Sains Tebuireng Putri Kesamben. The observed variables include the independent variable (PHP media) and the dependent variable (learning outcomes). Data were collected using pretest and posttest instruments. The analysis involved the Shapiro–Wilk normality test and a nonparametric statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon test. The results of data analysis and hypothesis testing through the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test show an Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.001, which is lower than the significance level α = 0.05. This indicates a significant difference (H₀ rejected, H₁ accepted) and demonstrates that the PHP learning media has a positive effect on students’ learning outcomes, with an effect size of 0.67.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya pengaruh kemandirian belajar dan peran orang tua secara simultan terhadap hasil belajar matematika. Metode penelitian ini yaitu kuantitatif yang dilakukan pada siswa SMK Tamansiswa Mojoagung, Jombang, Jawa Timur. Peneliti juga menggunakan menggunkan model regresi linier berganda untuk memodelkan nilai hasil belajar siswa (sebagai variabel terikat) yang dipengaruhi oleh pengaruh kemandirian belajar dan peran orang tua (sebagai variabel bebas). Sebanyak 32 siswa XI TKJ SMK Tamansiswa Mojoagung sebagai sampel yang dipilih dengan metode Purposive sampling. Penelitian ini berbentuk regresi linier berganda. Model regresi linier berganda yang robust yaitu model regresi yang memenuhi uji prasyarat normalitas, linieritas, heteroskedastis, multikolinearitas, outlier dan autokorelasi. Pengujian hipotesis pada penelitian ini menggunakan uji t, uji F, adjusted r square dan koefisien determinasi. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan secara simultan kemandirian belajar dan peran orang tua tidak berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa SMK Tamansiswa Mojoagung yang didukung oleh rendahnya nilai adjusted r square sebesar 8,4%. Model regresi yang diperoleh yaitu  dengan Y adalah hasil belajar, X1 adalah kemandirian belajar, dan X2 adalah peran orang tua.Kata kunci: kemandirian belajar, peran orang tua, hasil belajar matematika. Abstract: This study aimed to determine whether there is a simultaneous influence of learning independence and parental involvement on students' mathematics learning outcomes. The research was quantitative and conducted at SMK Tamansiswa Mojoagung, Jombang, East Java. The researcher utilized a multiple linear regression model to analyze students' academic performance (as the dependent variable) as influenced by learning independence and parental involvement (as independent variables). A total of 32 students from Grade XI TKJ at SMK Tamansiswa Mojoagung were selected as the sample using purposive sampling. This research employed a multiple linear regression approach. A robust multiple-linear regression model refers to one that meets the assumptions of normality, linearity, homoscedasticity, multicollinearity, absence of outliers, and autocorrelation. Hypothesis testing in this study was conducted using t-tests, F-tests, adjusted R-squared, and the coefficient of determination. The study's results indicate that learning independence and parental involvement do not significantly affect students' mathematics learning outcomes at SMK Tamansiswa Mojoagung. This conclusion is supported by a low adjusted R-squared value of 8.4%. The resulting regression model is Y = 1.545 + 0.062X₁ - 0.066X₂, where Y represents the learning outcome, X₁ denotes learning independence, and X₂ denotes parental involvement. Keywords: learning independence, parental involvement, mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Peningkatan volume sampah plastik dari sektor kuliner perkotaan mendorong perlunya strategi transisi menuju praktik usaha yang lebih berkelanjutan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan memperkuat ekobusiness UKM kuliner melalui implementasi kemasan kertas sebagai alternatif substitusi plastik di kawasan Jombang Kuliner, Kabupaten Jombang. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah direct education berbasis komunikasi tatap muka kepada 15 pelaku UKM kuliner pada Maret 2026. Tahapan kegiatan meliputi persiapan (observasi dan penyusunan materi), pelaksanaan sosialisasi disertai demonstrasi produk kemasan kertas, serta evaluasi berbasis indikator perubahan perilaku (awareness, interest, evaluation, trial, adoption). Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kesadaran pelaku usaha terhadap dampak lingkungan dan kesehatan dari penggunaan plastik, munculnya ketertarikan terhadap kemasan kertas sebagai nilai tambah usaha, serta mulai dilakukannya uji coba penggunaan kemasan kertas dalam operasional harian. Sebagian pelaku usaha telah mengadopsi kemasan kertas secara parsial dengan tetap mempertimbangkan preferensi konsumen dan karakteristik produk. Implementasi ini tidak hanya berkontribusi pada pengurangan penggunaan plastik, tetapi juga memperkuat citra usaha ramah lingkungan yang berpotensi meningkatkan daya saing jangka panjang. Kegiatan ini menegaskan bahwa intervensi edukatif berbasis komunikasi langsung efektif dalam mendorong perubahan perilaku dan penguatan praktik ekobusiness pada UKM kuliner perkotaan.

Abstract

Motivasi siswa MTsN 9 Jombang dalam belajar matematika tergolong rendah. Hal ini disebabkan oleh pembelajaran yang kurang menarik, siswa merasa kesulitan dalam memahami materi, sehingga nilai pengetahuan menjadi rendah, belum ada media pembelajaran yang tepat untuk memahami konsep dan latihan soal yang bisa memotivasi siswa dalam mengerjakan soal tersebut. Berdasarkan analisis situasi dan permasalahan tersebut, maka tim pengabdi menerapkan solusi alternatif yaitu menginovasi kegiatan pembelajaran matematika di kelas melalui penggunaan media pembelajaran yang efektif berupa game wordwall. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini yaitu memberikan materi bilangan bulat dan latihan soal melalui wordwall. Tahapan pengabdian ini meliputi persiapan awal, pelaksanaan, evaluasi dan penulisan laporan. Penerapan media pembelajaran game wordwall menunjukkan hasil peningkatan nilai pengetahuan siswa pada materi bilangan bulat. Pada pretest, hanya 2 dari 10 siswa yang nilainya berada di atas KKM (70). Sedangkan pada posttes, prosentase ketuntasan pada sub game match up sebesar 80% dengan nilai rata-rata 74; prosentase ketuntasan pada sub game open the box sebesar 100% dengan nilai rata-rata 83; prosentase ketuntasan pada sub game quiz sebesar 100% dengan nilai rata-rata 87. Dari keseluruhan data tersebut, pengabdi menarik kesimpulan proses pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan game Wordwall yang telah dilaksanakan di kelas VIII A MTsN 9 Jombang dapat meningkatkan motivasi siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal bilangan bulat.

Abstract

Rendahnya hasil belajar matematika pada pelajar Sekolah Menengah Atas di Indonesia masih menjadi kekhawatiran yang signifikan. Metode pengajaran konvensional yang berpusat pada guru sering kali membatasi keterlibatan dan pemahaman pelajar, khususnya dalam mapel yang memerlukan penguasaan konsep yang kompleks, seperti matematika. Menyikapi hal itu, penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw terhadap hasil belajar matematika pelajar kelas X-N di MAN 4 Jombang. Model pembelajaran Jigsaw merupakan metode pembelajaran kooperatif yang melibatkan pelajar dalam kelompok kecil heterogen, di mana setiap anggota bertanggung jawab atas bagian materi tertentu dan mengajarkannya kepada anggota kelompok lainnya. Penelitian ini memakai pendekatan kuantitatif dengan bentuk desain memakai desain pre-test dan post-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada pengaruh yang signifikan pada hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas X-N MAN 4 Jombang dengan memakai model Jigsaw dibandingkan dengan pelajar yang diajar memakai metode konvensional. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran Jigsaw merupakan pendekatan pembelajaran yang efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman matematika dan bisa berfungsi sebagai strategi yang berharga dalam mengatasi tantangan saat ini dalam pendidikan matematika sekolah menengah atas di Indonesia.
