Abstract

The research aims to describe the character of solving numeracy problems based on students' cognitive styles. Research instruments include teacher questionnaires, cognitive style test instruments, numeracy problem-solving test instruments, interview guides, and documentation. Data from cognitive style tests and interviews are explained descriptively to select research subjects. The subjects of this research were 32 students in class VIII of state junior high schools in Jombang. Data from numeracy tests, interviews, and documentation were analyzed to describe the subject's creative thinking abilities. The results of the research show that field-independent students think of more than one answer in a variety of ways, and succeed in breaking down the details of an idea object into different ways or methods. It also fulfills the creative thinking indicators of novelty and provides a new art in solving numeracy problems that is pure. Meanwhile, field-dependent students have not provided different ideas or ideas as a form of process for solving numeracy problems in different ways. Even though the field-dependent student provided a correct solution to the problem, it did not meet the novelty indicator.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan (1) mengetahui bagaimana kecerdasan emosional memengaruhi prestasi belajar matematika, (2) mengetahui bagaimana kedisiplinan memengaruhi prestasi belajar matematika, (3) mengetahui bagaimana kecerdasan emosional dan kedisiplinan memengaruhi prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas IX MTs Midanutta’lim. Penelitian kuantitatif metode korelasional pada penelitian ini menggunakan populasi semua siswa kelas IX MTs Midanutta’lim dan kelas IX-D sebagai sampel penelitian. Adapun instrumen penelitian menggunakan lembar angket kecerdasan emosional dan kedisiplinan. Sebelum digunakan, intrumen ini diuji validitasnya. Hasil Penilaian Tengah Semester matematika digunakan untuk mendapatkan data prestasi belajar. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan perhitungan regresi linear berganda. Sebagai hasil dari pengolahan data diperoleh (1) kecerdasan emosional tidak berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar matematika, (2) kedisiplinan tidak berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar matemtaika, dan (3) kecerdasan emosional dan kedisiplinan tidak berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar matematika. Koefisien determinasi yang bernilai 0,162 menginterpretasikan bahwa kecerdasan emosional dan kedisiplinan memengaruhi prestasi belajar matematika kelas IX MTs Midanutta’lim sebesar16,2% sedangkan 83,8% dipengaruhi oleh komponen lain yang tidak dibahas dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

Abstract Mathematical reasoning is a mental activity that connects relevant facts to draw conclusions based on valid arguments. This research aims to describe the mathematical reasoning of high school students with high, medium, and low mathematical abilities in solving problems. This research also offers a comprehensive understanding of how varying levels of mathematical ability influence students' reasoning processes in problem-solving. This research used qualitative methods with the subjects being three students in class X-8 of SMA Negeri 1 Trawas, each representing high, medium, and low levels of mathematical ability. Research instruments include mathematical ability tests, mathematical reasoning tests, and interview guidelines, with triangulation of time to ensure the validity of data. Data analysis was carried out through reduction, presentation, and concluding data. The research results show that students with high mathematical abilities can explain information in verbal and symbolic form, develop problem-solving strategies, carry out mathematical manipulations, provide reasons for solutions, check the correctness of each stage, and provide conclusions on the solution process. Students with moderate abilities show similar abilities but do not provide conclusions about the solution process. Meanwhile, students with low abilities also showed similar solution steps but did not provide conclusions about the solution process. These findings provide insight into differences in students' mathematical reasoning abilities based on their mathematical ability. Abstrak Penalaran matematis adalah aktivitas mental yang menghubungkan fakta-fakta relevan untuk menarik kesimpulan berdasarkan argumen yang valid. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penalaran matematis siswa SMA dengan kemampuan matematika tinggi, sedang, dan rendah dalam menyelesaikan masalah. Penelitian ini juga memberikan pemahaman yang komprehensif mengenai bagaimana tingkat kemampuan matematika memengaruhi proses penalaran siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan subjek tiga siswa kelas X-8 SMA Negeri 1 Trawas, masing-masing mewakili tingkat kemampuan matematika tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Instrumen penelitian meliputi tes kemampuan matematika, tes penalaran matematis, dan pedoman wawancara, dengan triangulasi waktu untuk menjamin keabsahan data. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi, pemaparan, dan penarikan kesimpulan dari data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa berkemampuan matematika tinggi mampu menjelaskan informasi dalam bentuk verbal dan simbol, menyusun strategi penyelesaian masalah, melakukan manipulasi matematika, memberikan alasan terhadap solusi yang diberikan, memeriksa kebenaran setiap tahapan, dan memberikan kesimpulan atas proses penyelesaian. Siswa berkemampuan sedang menunjukkan kemampuan serupa, tetapi tidak memberikan kesimpulan atas proses penyelesaian. Sementara itu, siswa berkemampuan rendah juga menunjukkan langkah-langkah penyelesaian serupa, namun tidak memberikan kesimpulan atas proses penyelesaian. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan mengenai perbedaan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa berdasarkan kemampuan matematika. Kata Kunci:Menyelesaikan Masalah; Kemampuan Matematika; Penalaran Matematis.

Abstract

Pentingnya literasi statistik bagi mahasiswa memiliki dampak baru pada kecemasan dalam statistik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kecemasan statistik terhadap kemampuan literasi statistik pada 52 mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini menggunakan regresi linier sederhana untuk menganalisis pengaruh variabel kecemasan statistik terhadap kemampuan literasi statistik siswa. Selain itu, regresi linier berganda juga digunakan untuk menganalisis pengaruh masing-masing konstruk variabel kecemasan statistik secara parsial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara variabel kecemasan statistik terhadap kemampuan literasi statistik siswa. Sebanyak 36,1% variabel kemampuan literasi statistik siswa disumbang oleh variabel kecemasan belajar statistik. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, diperlukan upaya serius dari dosen statistika untuk mengurangi kecemasan mahasiswa

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pembelajaran matematika dengan media video Geogebra pada materi fungsi kuadrat dan mendeskripsikan pemahaman matematis siswa sebelum dan sesudah pemanfaatan media video Geogebra materi fungsi kuadrat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunkan subjek penelitian kelas XI SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Baron berjumlah 11 siswa yang dipilih berdasarkan purposive sampling. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik tes pemahaman matematis awal dan akhir serta teknik dokumentasi selama proses pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses pembelajaran matematika berbantuan media video Geogebra materi fungsi kuadrat dibagi menjadi 3 kegiatan yaitu pendahuluan, inti dan penutup. Hasil pemahaman matematis siswa sebelum dan sesudah pemanfaatan media video Geogebra materi fungsi kuadrat terdapat perbedaan yang cukup nyata yaitu dari pemahaman matematis awal sebesar 9% menjadi 45 %. Artinya 45% siswa memenuhi semua indikator pemahaman matematis. This study aims to describe the mathematics learning process using Geogebra video media on quadratic functions material and to describe students' mathematical understanding before and after the use of Geogebra video media with quadratic functions material. This research is a descriptive study using the research subjects of class XI SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Baron totaling 11 students who were selected based on purposive sampling. The data collection method in this study used the initial and final mathematical comprehension test techniques and documentation techniques during the learning process. The results showed that in the learning process of mathematics assisted by Geogebra video media, the quadratic function material was divided into 3 activities, namely introduction, core, and closing. The results of students' mathematical understanding before and after the use of Geogebra video media with the quadratic function material there were quite differences, namely from the initial mathematical understanding of 9% to 45%. This means that 45% of students meet all indicators of mathematical understanding.

Abstract

This research was motivated by problems in the field regarding the difficulties of junior high school students in understanding geometric transformation material. This research was carried out at Bhara Widya Catholic Middle School Lumajang in accordance with the results of observations which showed that learning media had never been used to instill the concept of geometric transformation. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of using Transgo media on understanding the concept of geometric transformation in class IX students at the school. This research is an experimental type of research with a quantitative design, posttest only control design. The instrument used was a comprehension test and the data was analyzed using inferential statistics. The results of the research show that there is a positive effect of using Transgo media on understanding the concept of geometric transformation in class IX students at Bhara Widya Catholic Middle School, which is known through the Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05 with an influence of 28.87% (more than 20%). Transgo media can be implemented in learning in other locations to increase students' understanding of geometric transformation material.

Abstract

Pemahaman dan pemanfaatan teknologi nampaknya menjadi semakin penting dalam segala bidang, termasuk dunia pendidikan. Kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi telah berpengaruh terhadap penggunaan alat-alat bantu mengajar di sekolah-sekolah dan lembaga-lembaga pendidikan lainnya. Media pembelajaran memfasilitasi hubungan antara pendidik dan siswa. Guru dapat menawarkan layanan kepada siswanya secara tidak langsung. SMA Islam Terpadu Misykat Al Anwar adalah satuan pendidikan dibawah naungan Dinas Pendidikan Propinsi jawa Timur. Pembelajaran di SMA Islam Terpadu Misykat Al Anwar menggunakan digital, siswa menggunakan laptop dan wifi. Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi, semakin memudahkan siswa maupun guru untuk mengakses berbagai macam informasi. Seperti hal nya siswa, ketika proses pembelajaran yang memanfaatkan internet maka siswa dapat dengan mudah mencari jawaban dari soal yang diberikan guru di internet. Begitu juga saat ujian atau ulangan yang memanfaatkan teknologi internet, siswa juga dapat dengan mudah mencari jawabannya di internet. Selain itu, kinerja guru juga dituntut harus selalu siap administrasi sebelum melakukan pembelajaran misalnya modul ajar, penilaian dan lain-lain. Solusi yang ditawarkan yaitu  dengan melaksanakan kegiatan pelatihan Penggunaan LMS Berdiferensiasi “Siajar” Bagi Guru SMA IT Misykat Al-Anwar. Dengan tujuan setelah dilaksanakannya kegiatan ini, para guru dapat menggunakan LMS Siajar dalam proses pembelajaran maupun dalam kegiatan adminitrasi. Di kegiatan ini, guru-guru diajari cara menggunakan LMS Berdiferensiasi “Siajar”.  . Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian  dibagi menjadi 5 tahap yaitu (1) tahap persiapan : melakukan survey awal, perizinan, sosialisasi dan penentuan lokasi kegiatan; (2) tahap pelaksanaan kegiatan: kegiatan akan dilaksanakan di ruang pertemuan SMA IT Misykat Al-Anwar; (3) tahap evaluasi: Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan selama proses pelatihan berlangsung; (4) tahap pendampingan: Pendampingan dilakukan hingga guru dapat menggunakan LMS Berdiferensiasi “Siajar” dengan lancar ; (5) tahap pelaporan. Hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian dapat dijelaskan bahwa Bapak/Ibu guru sangat antusias dalam praktek menggunakan LMS Berdiferensiasi “Siajar” . Selain itu, kinerja guru di LMS Berdiferensiasi “Siajar” dapat lebih tertata dengan baik sehingga guru menjadi lebih semangat lagi dalam mengajar karena sudah dapat menyiapkan perangkat pembelajaran dan menyimpanya dengan baik serta media pembelajaran juga sudah siap. Yang lebih penting lagi, peserta menjadi lebih semangat lagi dalam mengajar karena semua perangkat pembelajaran sudah ada di LMS Siajar.

Abstract

The lack of availability of HOTS math questions in the field makes it difficult for teachers to teach students higher order thinking skills. Most of the hots questions developed were based on Bloom's taxonomy revised by Anderson et al. This study aims to produce valid and reliable HOTS questions and to measure students' higher-order thinking skills. This study uses a Tessmer model development research. This development model consists of 2 stages, namely (1) the preliminary stage and (2) the formative evaluation. Instrument testing was carried out in class X MIPA E SMA Negeri 1 Kediri. The data collection instruments included a question grid, a HOTS class X maths question sheet based on Krulik-Rudnick's, a validation sheet, and a question readability questionnaire. The data analysis technique uses item analysis which consists of validity, reliability, level of difficulty, and distinguishing power. This research has produced 11 items that are valid, practical, and reliable. In addition, this study produced a reliable item with a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.921. The results of the test questions concluded that the high-order thinking skills (HOTS) of class X students in mathematics were good with an average score of 33.17.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Discovery Learning learning model using the steam approach (science, technology, engineering, art, mathematics) on students' computational thinking abilities. This type of research is quantitative research with experimental research methods. The population in this study were class VIII SMP A. Wahid Hasyim Tebuireng with a sample of class VIII-I as the experimental class and class VIII-C as the control class. The experimental group was treated using the Discovery Learning model with the STEAM approach while the control group used the conventional model. The instrument used is a test sheet. Data analysis techniques using the t test. Based on the results of the analysis of the data obtained by calculating using IBM SPSS25 between the samples that were given the treatment of the Discovery Learning learning model with the STEAM approach in the experimental class and the control class, the output results were Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.020. This means that the sig value of 0.046 <0.05 means H0 is rejected, so it is said that there are differences in students' computational thinking abilities between those who take the Discovery Learning model learning the STEAM approach and those who take conventional learning. Then there is the influence of the STEAM approach Discovery Learning model on students' computational thinking skills.
