Abstract

Introduction: Molecular docking simulation is an in silico method that plays a role in drug discovery and analyzing drug interactions with receptors. The method using Autodock 4.2 and Autodock Vina is widely used in molecular docking simulations, especially for analyzing interactions that occur between ligands and receptors. Aims: This study was aims to compare the Autodock 4.2 and Autodock Vina methods in simulating the docking of thiazolidinedione against PPARG in terms of bond energy and type of interaction parameters. Methods: The method used in this research was molecular docking simulation using Autodock 4.2 and Autodock Vina. The two methods compared the interaction results and binding affinity scores in the thiazolidinedione group against PPARG. Result: The results of this study show that the interactions using the Autodock 4.2 and Autodock Vina methods have similar amino acids that are bound and the same active site. The binding affinity score also shows that the best are troglitazone, pioglitazone, native ligand and rosiglitazone. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, it shows that molecular docking simulations using the Autodock 4.2 and Autodock Vina methods thiazolidinedione with PPARG have similar docking score patterns and almost the same types of interactions.

Abstract

Pemeriksaan kesehatan secara berkala merupakan salah satu pilar Gerakan Masyarakat Hidup Sehat (GERMAS) yang berguna untuk mendeteksi keberadaan faktor risiko Penyakit Tidak Menular (PTM). Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu melakukan skrining PTM meliputi pengukuran tekanan darah, pemeriksaan gula darah, kolesterol, dan asam urat. Metode pelaksanaan skrining PTM yaitu pendaftaran dan wawancara faktor risiko PTM, pengukuran antropometri, pemeriksaan penunjang serta konseling dan edukasi. Skrining ini dilakukan pada 2 (dua) tempat dengan sasaran usia lebih dari 15 tahun. 155 peserta berhasil dijaring dengan hasil karakteristik sebagian besar adalah perempuan dan berada pada usia remaja akhir serta dewasa akhir. Analisis selanjutnya menunjukkan sebagian besar berada dalam kategori normal dan optimal untuk pemeriksaan tekanan darah dan sebagian besar berada dalam kategori normal untuk pemeriksaan gula darah. Temuan lain gambaran pemeriksaan kolesterol yang menghasilkan lebih dari separuh peserta dalam kategori buruk serta hampir separuhnya memiliki kadar asam urat tidak normal. Skrining PTM berguna mengetahui faktor risiko PTM lebih awal agar dapat diambil tindakan berikutnya sebagai langkah pencegahan. Upaya yang dapat diambil antara lain melakukan pola hidup sehat dan berkonsultasi lebih lanjut kepada tenaga kesehatan.

Abstract

AbstrakSelf-medication atau pengobatan mandiri merupakan praktik umum di kalangan pelajar, namun pemanfaatan obat tradisional masih terbatas akibat kurangnya edukasi terkait manfaat dan penggunaannya. Indonesia memiliki kekayaan biodiversitas dan pengetahuan tradisional yang melimpah, yang berpotensi besar untuk dikembangkan sebagai sumber obat tradisional. Meskipun regulasi terkait obat tradisional di Indonesia sudah baik, diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut untuk memastikan efektivitas dan keamanan penggunaannya dalam pengobatan mandiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa SMK Kesehatan mengenai manfaat, jenis, dan penggunaan tanaman obat tradisional dalam praktik self-medication. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pre-test, edukasi melalui presentasi, video, flyer, diskusi, dan post-test untuk mengukur peningkatan pemahaman siswa. Hasil pre-test menunjukkan distribusi nilai dengan skor tertinggi 90 dan terendah 50, sedangkan hasil post-test menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dengan skor tertinggi mencapai 100. Rata-rata skor pre-test adalah 70,4 dan rata-rata skor post-test meningkat menjadi 96,8; mencerminkan peningkatan pengetahuan sebesar 27,4%. Evaluasi kegiatan menunjukkan kepuasan tinggi dari peserta terkait metode penyampaian dan relevansi materi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa edukasi tentang tanaman obat tradisional efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa dan diharapkan dapat mendorong praktik self-medication yang bijak dan bertanggung jawab di kalangan siswa SMK Kesehatan. Kata kunci: pengobatan mandiri; obat tradisional; edukasi; pelajar; SMK AbstractSelf-medication is a common practice among students, but the utilization of traditional medicine is still limited due to lack of education regarding its benefits and uses. Indonesia has an abundance of biodiversity and traditional knowledge, which has great potential to be developed as a source of traditional medicine. Although regulations related to traditional medicine in Indonesia are good, further research is needed to ensure the effectiveness and safety of its use in self-medication. This study aims to improve the knowledge of vocational health students regarding the benefits, types, and uses of traditional medicinal plants in self-medication practices. The methods used include pre-test, education through presentations, videos, flyers, discussions, and post-test to measure the improvement of students' understanding. The pre-test results showed a distribution of values with the highest score of 90 and the lowest score of 50, while the post-test results showed significant improvement with the highest score reaching 100. The average pre-test score was 70.4 and the average post-test score increased to 96.8, reflecting a 27.4% increase in knowledge. Evaluation of the activity showed high satisfaction from participants regarding the delivery method and relevance of the material. The results show that education about traditional medicinal plants is effective in improving students' knowledge and is expected to encourage wise and responsible self-medication practices among vocational health students. Keywords: self-medication; traditional medicine; education; students; vocational schools

Abstract

Yogurt is a fermented dairy product typically produced using lactic acid bacteria such as Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus. It is widely recognized for its health benefits, particularly in supporting gut microbiota balance. In recent years, incorporating natural ingredients into yogurt formulations has gained increasing attention, as consumers seek functional foods with added health value. One such ingredient is telang flower, which has been recognized for its richness in antioxidants and anthocyanins. Moreover, it contains polyphenolic compounds like catechins, which are associated with improved metabolic activity and increased fat oxidation, potentially supporting weight control. Ongoing innovations in yogurt development aim to enhance its flavor, texture, and stability, often by incorporating sweeteners and thickening agents. This study aimed to evaluate the sensory properties and consumer acceptability of telang flower yogurt formulated with varying concentrations of natural sweetener (honey) and thickening agent/stabilizer (carboxymethyl cellulose, CMC), and to characterize the physical and chemical attributes of the optimum formula. Four formulations were developed using different concentrations of honey (0%, 10%, 15%, and 20%) and CMC (0%, 1%, 1.5%, and 2%). Formulation FIV, consisting of 20% honey and 2% CMC, achieved the highest level of preference among all tested variants. A vibrant purple color, dense texture, pleasantly acidic aroma, and well-balanced sweetness contributed to its superior sensory profile. This formula exhibited favorable physicochemical characteristics, with a pH of 4.34 and a viscosity of 1910 cP. Increasing honey and CMC concentrations were found to improve both consumer acceptability and the overall sensory.

Abstract

Gastritis adalah gangguan saluran pencernaan yang terjadi karena adanya terbentuknya luka dan inflamasi pada mukosa lambung yang ditandai dengan rasa nyeri pada daerah epigastrium. Tanaman yang digunakan daam penelitian ini adalah daun dari tanaman pacar air (Impatiens balsamina L.). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas ekstrak daun pacar air terhadap gastritis. Ekstraksi daun pacar air dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode maserasi. Hewan uji diinduksi menggunakan 80% untuk merusak mukosa lambung yang dapat membentuk gastritis pada hewan uji. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental dengan desain penelitian control group post test only secara in vivo menggunakan tikus putih betina. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan makroskopis dan mikroskopis, ekstrak daun pacar air pada K1 (dosis 1000 mg/kg BB) dinilai memiliki penyembuhan lebih baik dibandingkan dengan K2 (dosis 2000 mg/kg BB). Namun tidak lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kelompok K+ (omeprazole 0,36 mg/200gr BB). Abstract

Standardisasi ekstrak merupakan langkah krusial dalam pengembangan obat herbal terstandar untuk menjamin konsistensi, keamanan, dan efektivitas produk. Penelitian ini bertujuan melakukan kajian standardisasi fitokimia terhadap ekstrak etanol 70% daun nangka (Artocarpus heterophyllus), sebagai tahap awal pengembangan obat herbal terstandar. Proses standardisasi mencakup evaluasi parameter organoleptik, kadar sari larut air dan etanol, susut pengeringan, kadar air serta analisis kandungan senyawa aktif melalui uji fitokimia kualitatif dan profil KLT. Hasil penelitian didapat karakteristik fisik yang stabil dengan warna ekstrak hijau kecoklatan, berbentuk kental, berbau khas, susut pengeringan 0,14%, kadar air 3,1%, kadar sari larut air 87,07% dan kadar sari larut etanol 30,10% dalam batas sesuai ketentuan yang berlaku menurut Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia. Analisis fitokimia mengidentifikasi keberadaan metabolit sekunder seperti saponin, flavonoid, terpenoid, alkaloid, dan tanin dan profil KLT menghasilkan pola bercak khas yang dapat digunakan sebagai fingerprint ekstrak. Kajian ini menegaskan pentingnya standardisasi sebagai fondasi ilmiah dalam menjamin mutu ekstrak nabati. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan dasar untuk tahapan pengujian lebih lanjut, termasuk validasi metode analisis kuantitatif dan evaluasi aktivitas farmakologis, dalam rangka mendukung pengembangan obat herbal berbasis daun nangka yang terstandar dan berkualitas.

Abstract

The number of people with chronic diseases in Indonesia, especially hypertension and diabetes mellitus, continues to increase, including in the Pontianak City area, West Kalimantan. Alianyang Community Health Center, Pontianak City, is one of the basic health facilities that implements the Chronic Disease Management Program. The problem experienced by patients with chronic diseases such as hypertension and diabetes mellitus is a decrease in quality of life due to the disease they suffer. One of the causes of a decrease in a person's quality of life is a lack of knowledge and motivation in implementing a healthy lifestyle. Health promotion in the form of education on healthy lifestyles needs to be provided directly to patients and to prolanist cadres of the Alianyang Health Center. The targets of this activity are patients and prolanist cadres of the Alianyang Health Center. The activity aims to provide information to patients and prolanist cadres regarding efforts to improve the quality of life of hypertension and diabetes mellitus patients. The method used is health promotion through educational videos and leaflets. The results showed that there were changes before and after the delivery of health promotion, namely that the average participant experienced an increase in knowledge between the pre-test and post-test, namely 63.33 and 79.17 respectively. Evaluation of activities through questionnaires showed that participants felt the material presented was very interesting and participants gained new knowledge through the educational media provided.

Abstract

The prevalence of dyspepsia in Sungai Kakap Village is ranked third largest based on data from the Sungai Kakap Community Health Center, Kab. Kubu Raya with an incidence of 1,636 cases in 2023. One of the problems experienced by dyspepsia patients is inappropriate self-medication or self-medication. This Community Service Activity (PKM) is aimed at PKK members and Posyandu cadres because they are part of the community and are also an extension of health workers in helping solve problems experienced by dyspepsia patients. The method used in this PKM is case-based and educational videos. This PKM activity consists of several activities including preparation of activities; orientation and coordination of activities; selecting the target audience for educational media creation activities; providing pre-tests and cases at the beginning of activities; providing educational materials; discussion; post-test; evaluation of activity implementation; and data analysis. The output of this community service is publication in local electronic media in West Kalimantan (Suara Pemred/Tanjungpura Times), publication of scientific articles in the Sinta 4 accredited journal " PengabdianMu ", Copyright of educational videos and videos of implementation of activities on the FK UNTAN YouTube channel. The overall results obtained were an increase in knowledge of 27.19% with an average pre-test score (60.6) and post-test score (77.08). According to the evaluation of activities through questionnaires, participants considered the material presented to be very interesting, and the learning media provided was considered to provide new knowledge.

Abstract

Avocado contains lipase enzyme. Enzymes can be found in avocado seeds. Factors that can affect Alanin Transaminase (ALT) enzyme activity are temperature increase, pH, substrate concentration, enzyme concentration, inhibitors and storage time. The study aims to investigate the effect of various factors of temperature, pH, and substrate concentration on enzyme activity. Research on factors that affect enzyme activity in avocado fruit was carried out by enzyme preparation in 3 stages of testing the effect of temperature, pH, and substrate concentration. The results of observations made in testing several factors. Observations show that temperature has a significant effect on changes in color and viscosity of the sample. Avocado is a source of various enzymes such as lipase, polyphenol oxidase, and peroxidase. These enzymes play an important role in various biochemical reactions in fruit. Research conducted shows that enzymes in avocado have a role as biocatalysts that can accelerate chemical reactions.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Mangga tidak hanya dikenal karena rasanya yang manis, tetapi juga memiliki banyak manfaat bagi kesehatan manusia. Mangga mengandung enzim amilase dan enzim katalase, yang mempunyai peran dalam proses pencernaan dan reaksi biokimia pada tubuh manusia. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui secara detail faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi aktivasi enzim, dengan fokus pada pengaruh pH, suhu, dan konsentrasi yang berbeda-beda. Metode: Penelitian ini dilakukan di laboratorium dengan menggunakan metode eksperimental, di mana dilakukan pencampuran larutan pada berbagai tingkat pH, yaitu pH 2, pH 7,4, dan pH 9. Selain itu, suhu juga bervariasi dengan pengaturan pada 100 °C, 37 °C, 25 °C, dan 4 °C. Penelitian ini juga melibatkan penggunaan konsentrasi yang berbeda untuk melihat dampaknya terhadap aktivitas enzim. Hasil: Penelitian ini menghasilkan bukti yang jelas bahwa aktivitas enzim sangat dipengaruhi oleh ketiga faktor tersebut, yaitu pH, suhu, dan konsentrasi. Setiap variasi dalam pengaturan kondisi eksperimen menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan dalam tingkat aktivitas enzim yang terukur. Kesimpulan: Melalui penelitian ini, diharapkan dapat dibuktikan bahwa aktivitas dari enzim memang bisa terpengaruhi oleh pH, suhu, dan konsentrasi. Setiap uji yang dilakukan menunjukkan kompleksitas interaksi antara faktor-faktor tersebut dalam mempengaruhi kinerja enzim. Penelitian ini dapat memberikan kondisi optimal untuk memaksimalkan aktivitas enzim dalam berbagai aplikasi biokimia.
