Abstract

Geometry is a branch of mathematics that deals with shapes and dimensions. In learning geometry it is not uncommon for students to experience difficulties and mistakes in understanding concepts. Motivation is an important factor that needs to be considered so that students remain enthusiastic in the learning process of geometry. Motivation becomes a driving force and trigger for students to be active in the learning process. This research aims to provide a portrait of the motivational condition of junior high school students in learning geometry. This research is quantitative descriptive. The research was conducted on 136 junior high school students who were randomly selected from 3 different cities, namely Medan, Tulungagung and Lombok. The data collection technique was carried out using a motivational questionnaire instrument. Data analysis was performed with descriptive statistical analysis. The results of this research indicate that junior high school students' motivation in learning geometry is high with a score of 3.96 on a scale of 1-5.

Abstract

Assessment activities are crucial to measuring learning success in the school system. Assessment can be used to improve education where teachers incorporate Islamic beliefs. This study explains how to create a religiously-integrated mathematical communication skills test. This is ADDIE model development research. The research was tested at a Tulungagung Madrasah Aliyah. The data-gathering method solves ten inverse function math questions using a description test. Data analysis uses strength, reliability, validity, and difficulty. This study found that the social essay exam instrument analyses high school students' mathematics communication skills and Islamic beliefs, with 7 items valid and reliable and 3 items removed. This study found that the Islamic integrated mathematical communication ability test is valid, reliable, discriminatory, and somewhat demanding.

Abstract

Pengembangan instrumen tes Pilihan Ganda Dua Tingkat (Two Tier Multiple Choice) untuk Mengukur Miskonsepsi Siswa, karena masih belum banyak penggunaan tes tersebut diterapkan pada evaluasi pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode metode 4-D oleh Thiagarajan dan teknik analisis data deskriptif. Hasil tes miskonsepsi dengan tes pilihan ganda dua tingkat (TTMC) dapat dilihat jawaban siswa bervariasi antara yang memahami konsep, mengalami miskonsepsi murni, miskonsepsi menebak, dan tidak memahami konsep. Kesimpulan penelitian ini sebagai berikut: 1. Kelayakan alat evaluasi meliputi: a) Dengan kriteria keberhasilan yang diberikan, pengembangan alat evaluasi telah berhasil dilakukan dengan kriteria ketuntasan belajar siswa sebesar 75% - 90% dari materi yang dikuasai oleh siswa. b) Dengan uji statistik yang dilakukan, pada instrumen telah memenuhi kriteria yang telah diberikan sehingga alat evaluasi dapat digunakan. c) Identifikasi miskonsepsi terbagi menjadi 4 kategori yaitu memahami, miskonsepsi murni, menebak, tidak paham konsep. Persentase keseluruhan siswa yang memahami konsep sebesar 49%, mengalami miskonsepsi murni sebesar 11%, miskonsepsi menebak sebesar 17% dan yang tidak memahami konsep sebesar 23%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the ability of mathematical representation by utilizing YouTube as a source of learning mathematics. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects were 3 students of class VIII SMPN 1 Bluto who were chosen as research subjects by considering the similarity of mathematical abilities and the results of recommendations from the teacher. Data collection techniques and instruments in this study were tests of mathematical representation abilities and interviews. The data analysis in this study is reduction in the form of processed mathematical representation ability test data, data presentation in the form of mathematical representation ability test data results, and conclusions to describe students' representation abilities using learning resources in the form of youtube and linked to the results of interviews. The results showed that the high-ability representation ability met the three indicators, namely verbal representation, mathematical expression, and visuals. Students who have moderate ability meet the two indicators of mathematical representation ability, namely verbal representation, mathematical expression, but visual representation has not been able to describe. Abstract

This study aims to develop a Two-Tier Multiple Choice (TTMC) HOTS-level test to measure student misconceptions in Islamic learning. The research method used is the 4-D method by Thiagarajan with descriptive data analysis. The results of the misconception test using TTMC showed variations in students' answers between those who understood the concept, had a pure misconception, guessed the misconception, and did not understand the concept. The feasibility of the evaluation tool is met, and the identification of misconceptions is divided into four categories. The percentage of students who understand the concept is 49%, pure misconception is 11%, guesses the misconception is 17%, and does not understand the concept is 23%. This study contributes to measuring students' misconceptions in Islamic learning and can be used to improve teaching effectiveness and students' understanding of concepts

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi dan informasi di abad 21 menuntut kita untuk lebih mahir menggunakan bahasa inggris sebagai salah satu bahasa yang harus kita kuasai guna meningkatkan kualitas diri dengan menanamkan nilai-nilai keislaman melalui penekanan konten nilai Al-Qur’an yang ada dalam materi mengajaran matematika. Fakta ini memberikan tanggung jawab guru untuk menciptakan dan mengembangkan media pembelajaran yang efektif untuk mempromosikan bahasa inggris, Bahasa Indonesia, dan menguatkan keimanan, komunikatif dan mengembangkan ide matematika yang dieksploitasi kedalam berbagai prepektif, sejarah matematika dan mampu memecahkan permasalahan kontekstual matematis terintegrasi. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis kebutuhan guru madrasah aliyah terkait pengembangan pembelajaran modul bilingual yang mengedepankan pembentukan karakter islami. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Pesertanya adalah 98 guru madrasah aliyah kelas sepuluh hingga kelas dua belas. Kuesioner digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data untuk penelitian. Data yang telah terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan analisis dengan model interaktif. Hasil analisis tersebut menunjukkan hasil ketertarikan guru dengan media modul bilingual sebagai sarana pendidikan yang memiliki nilai islami pondok pesantren untuk pembelajaran. Dari segi komposisi, dibutuhkan modul bilingual yang sesuai dengan jangkauan dan ukuran modul yang ideal. Dari segi konten, diharapkan tidak hanya mengungkapkan materi dengan ilustrasi islam dan animasi sosial, tetapi juga memiliki materi modul yang memasukkan nilai islami yang ada didalam alqur’an berlatar pondok pesantren. Dari segi desain dan tampilan, diperlukan karakterisasi modul yang mencakup berbagai warna dan ukuran font yang proporsional dengan bahasa bilingual. Secara keseluruhan dapat diambil kesimpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa perlu untuk mengembangkan modul bilingual sebagai media pembelajaran yang memadukan nilai islami yang ada didalam alqur’an berlatar pondok pesantren untuk memenuhi kebutuhan guru madrasah aliyah dan merencanakan pengembangan karakter islami.

Abstract

Students' attitudes towards learning mathematics: "too soft attitudes-very difficult-bored-in a good way" is an expression that is described because of a problem. Difficulties in understanding mathematical concepts have an impact on poor problem-solving abilities, so it is important to know what causes students to make mistakes and difficulties in learning mathematics. The goal to be achieved through this research is to find learning problems, their causes, and how to overcome them in learning mathematics. The research method of this research is a qualitative research based on a phenomenological approach. This study was conducted at his MTs Darul Hikmah Kedungwaru in Tulungagung. The main data sources are students and teachers of mathematics. Sources of supporting data are the Head of MTs Darul Hikmah Kedungwaru and class teachers. Data collection techniques through observation and interviews. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/validation. The results are as follows. (a) student problems: Lack of understanding of the material provided by the teacher, low student motivation to study, lazy to do homework regularly. (b) Educator's Problems: The teacher's inability to master the class, the teacher's inability to master the learning material. Efforts to overcome problems learning mathematics: (a) Efforts to Solve Student Problems: Strive to improve the learning environment Attempt to motivate students by providing suggestions to help them learn more actively Reward students with grades and praise for their learning Remind them to complete their homework (b) Efforts to solve educator problems, namely: Schools conduct assessments, summon teachers who are unable to attend class, and conduct teacher coaching and training, especially math teachers
