Abstract

This research aims to integrate the project based learning (PjBL) model in self regulated learning (SRL) in Environmental Knowledge courses at universities. This research uses a qualitative approach with a single case study method. The research subjects were students taking Environmental Knowledge courses. The research results show that the integration of the PjBL model in SRL can improve students' ability to understand concepts and improve critical and creative thinking skills. Apart from that, students can also develop the ability to work together and communicate in groups, which can also be implemented in the formal education sector in elementary, middle, high school and tertiary institutions.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui minat dan hasil belajar mahasiswa melalui blended learning. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester II Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Pendidikan Muhammadiyah Sorong, Papua Barat, Indonesia yang berjumlah 31 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes dan non tes dengan Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket minat belajar dan Tes hasil belajar, serta dokumentasi. Hasil Belajar secara umum rata-rata nilai mahasiswa adalah 76 yang menunjukkan bahwa interpretasi nilai mahasiswa adalah “AB” atau 3.50 dan rata-rata indikator pencapaian kompetensi pada mata kuliah kalkulus integral keseluruhan berada pada kategori tinggi. Hasil analisis total angket minat belajar diperoleh hasil 90,91% berada pada kategori sangat tinggi. Persentase rata-rata tiap indikator minat berada pada rentang kategori Sangat Tinggi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa blended learning dapat membangkitkan minat dan perhatian mahasiswa serta berdampak positif terhadap hasil belajar, sehingga dalam menerapkan blended learning semua komponen pendukung harus diperhatikan untuk menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang optimal.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine students' interest in social media Instagram as a source of mathematics learning media. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. The subjects in this study were 10 people consisting of various levels and schools in the 2021/2022 academic year and research was carried out at the researcher's home. The main research instrument is the researcher himself and the supporting instruments are observations, questionnaires and interviews. The results of this study prove that students have an interest in learning mathematics using Instagram media. It is proven that student interest consists of 4 aspects, namely aspects of feeling happy, student interest, student attention, and student involvement. Each aspect has a high average, namely: 1) the aspect of feeling happy with an average result of 68.75%, 2) the aspect of student interest with an average result of 70.31%, 3) the aspect of student attention with an average result 67.5%, and 4) aspects of student involvement with an average result of 67.5%. From these data, it proves that students are interested in learning mathematics using Instagram media.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the ability of mathematical representation by utilizing YouTube as a source of learning mathematics. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects were 3 students of class VIII SMPN 1 Bluto who were chosen as research subjects by considering the similarity of mathematical abilities and the results of recommendations from the teacher. Data collection techniques and instruments in this study were tests of mathematical representation abilities and interviews. The data analysis in this study is reduction in the form of processed mathematical representation ability test data, data presentation in the form of mathematical representation ability test data results, and conclusions to describe students' representation abilities using learning resources in the form of youtube and linked to the results of interviews. The results showed that the high-ability representation ability met the three indicators, namely verbal representation, mathematical expression, and visuals. Students who have moderate ability meet the two indicators of mathematical representation ability, namely verbal representation, mathematical expression, but visual representation has not been able to describe. Students with low ability meet one indicator of mathematical representation ability, namely an indicator of mathematical representation ability, namely verbal representation

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat motivasi belajar matematika siswa ditinjau dari nilai tugas, kontrol kepercayaan dan kepercayaan diri, serta kecemasan dalam tes. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan teknik penelitian penelitian deskriptif dan inferensial yang menggambarkan tingginya tingkat motivasi siswa dalam belajar matematika. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner motivasi belajar matematika yang terdiri dari 36 pernyataan dengan 5 alternatif pilihan penilaian dan berhasil mendapatkan 100 responden siswa acak di SMP Negeri 2 Kota Pasuruan. Berdasarkan data tersebut, maka hasil penelitian akan diuji dengan menggunakan SPSS versi 26.0 dimana data menunjukkan hasil uji t dan uji f dengan signifikansi hasil lebih kecil dari signifikansi yang telah ditentukan (0.000 < 0.005). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa untuk seluruh variabel dalam penelitian ini hipotesis nol (H0) ditolak karena tidak terdapat pengaruh antara variabel bebas (kontrol kepercayaan dan kepercayaan diri, dan kecemasan dalam tes) dalam menguji variabel terikat (nilai tugas). Hasilnya, hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima yang berarti terdapat pengaruh yang dignifikan antara variabel bebas (kontrol kepercayaan dan kepercayaan diri, dan kecemasan dalam tes) terhadap variabel terikat (nilai tugas).

Abstract

The use of media that suits students' conditions influences their learning motivation and mastery of mathematical concepts. Therefore, teachers must know the learning media that will be used. Quizizz, which is in the form of a quiz and based on 4.0, can be used as a learning medium because it is game and technology based. Therefore, the aim of this research is to describe the effect of using Quizizz on students' learning motivation and mastery of mathematical concepts. The approach used is quantitative through experiments at SMPN 14 Raja Ampat, West Papua. To obtain data on student learning motivation and mastery of mathematical concepts, questionnaires and tests are used. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the use of Quizzizz had a significant effect on student learning motivation (the difference is 16.4%) and mastery of mathematical concepts (the difference is 19.04%).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors affecting biology education students' literacy and numeracy skills, focusing on the influence of previous education quality, learning motivation, social environmental support, and learning facilities. The study employs a descriptive approach with Confirmatory Factor Analysis. The respondents' achievement level for the Previous Education Quality variable (X1) was moderate (76.22%). The Learning Motivation variable (X2) had a Total Correct Rate (TCR) of 84.04%, which falls under the good category. The Social Environmental Support variable (X3) scored 58.63%, categorized as poor. The Learning Facilities variable (X4) obtained a TCR of 55.39%, also in the poor category. After conducting the confirmatory factor analysis, two factors were identified, explaining 60.47% of the variance from the original variables, with the remaining 39.53% explained by other unexamined variables in this study. With a better understanding of these factors, it is hoped that this research can provide strategic recommendations for higher education institutions in developing curricula, learning methods, and learning environments that can effectively improve students' numeracy and literacy skills in the field of biology.

Abstract

This study examined the acquisition of Islamic values in an Islamic primary school using a logic model-based evaluative approach to assess input, output, and outcome dimensions. The research aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of educational practices in promoting Islamic values among students. Data were gathered through interviews, observation, and documentation, and were analyzed through iterative stages of collection, reduction, display, and conclusion. Findings indicate that the structural input for Islamic values learning involves coordinated efforts among various school departments. The school's cultural climate excels in academic, communal, security, and institutional areas. The output is reflected in diverse activities such as morning murâja’ah sessions, Quran reading and writing guidance using the Ummi method, congregational prayers, and rituals like Clean Friday and Blessed Friday. These activities lead to outcomes that foster individual piety, integrity, discipline, honesty, responsibility, creativity, and social consciousness among students. The study underscores the importance of instilling Islamic values from an early age, highlighting its potential to foster lifelong adherence to these principles. In conclusion, the research affirms the efficacy of these educational practices in transmitting Islamic values, emphasizing the pivotal role of primary education in cultivating a deep-rooted commitment to these values for the future.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is describing the implementation of project-based learning model and analysing the student’s creativity improvement in the subject of learning media. We describe the implementation of project-based learning based on our note of the learning syntax during one semester. Then, compared the students’ product to measure their creativity improvement in the aspects of originality, novelty, and flexibility. This study used descriptive-qualitative method and involved the students who took the learning media course as its subjects. The results showed that there was an improvement of the students’ creativity in the project-based learning implementation. The improvement was measured in the making of the manipulatives. The students’ flexibility and novelty were good, while their originality was fair.

Abstract

This article is about islamic education in the khmer islamic community of cambodia. This study aims to examine the role of Islamic educators in sustaining and developing Islamic education among the Khmer Islam minority in Cambodia. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, field observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that Islamic educators play multiple roles as teachers, community leaders, and agents of social change. Despite limited infrastructure and minimal state support, they manage to run community-based education systems emphasizing Islamic values, morality, and cultural identity. The study highlights the importance of structural support and continuous empowerment of Islamic educators to ensure the sustainability of Islamic education in minority communities. This study concludes that Islamic education in the Khmer Islam community in Cambodia has a long history and an important role in maintaining the religious and cultural identity of the minority Muslim community there. Despite facing serious challenges such as limited Education Infrastructure, facilities, quality of teachers, an incomplete curriculum, and social and economic influences that limit access to education. However, with government support, international cooperation, curriculum development, and community empowerment, the prospects for Islamic education in this community are quite promising. Strengthening Islamic education that combines religious values with modern science and the active role of society is the key to the success of future Islamic education in Khmer Islamic society.
