Abstract

Rapid population growth and economic progress have increased the need for public facilities such as shopping malls, hospitals, and office buildings. Cirebon Super Block (CSB) is one of the shopping centers in Cirebon City that adopts the 4-in-1 concept. However, CSB faced problems in providing adequate parking facilities, causing vehicle congestion at the mall entrance and traffic jams. This study aims to identify existing parking conditions, analyze the need for parking spaces, and provide technical recommendations to increase the availability of parking spaces in CSB. This study uses quantitative methods with primary and secondary data collection. The results of the study show that CSB has an off-street parking capacity of 808 SRP (standard parking spaces) for cars and 1188 SRP for motorcycles. The analysis shows that the highest parking index for cars occurred on Saturday reaching 101%, with the highest accumulation of 750 vehicles, the volume of 1011 vehicles, and the average parking duration of 1.75 hours. The highest parking index for motorcycles also occurred on Saturday reaching 91.1%, with the highest accumulation of 1082 vehicles, the volume of 1855 vehicles, and the average parking duration of 2,088hours. The implication of this study is to plan the construction of a parking building on the west side using Civil 3D software and convert an area of 720m² from 26 SRP to 111 SRP. This recommendation is expected to increase the parking capacity from 818 SRP to 918 SRP, so that it can reduce congestion and improve the comfort of CSB visitors.

Abstract

Urbanization and mobility of the population have increased interest in efficient and convenient transportation systems, especially for trips from Cirebon to Jakarta via the Cipali toll road. Public transportation modes that can be used from Cirebon to Jakarta include buses, travel and trains. This study reviews public transportation buses and travel, focusing on the characteristics and probability of mode selection by travelers. The crucial factors studied are cost, travel time, and access time. Primary data was obtained from questionnaires using the stated preference method and secondary data obtained from related sources. The method used is linear regression modeling and binomial logit difference, which is obtained from data on travel cost (X1), travel time (X2), and travel access time (X3), which is tested using SPSS software with the regression equation obtained is Y = 2.386 + 0.251 X1.3 + X2 + 0.301 X1.4 + 0.497 X3.1. with a travel cost of Rp. 110,000 and with a travel time of 4 hours and 30 minutes, travelers prefer the bus mode (64.2%) with the most implicative attribute is the cost of travel, then the percentage value calculated using probability calculations and binomial models logits, the difference is (99.9%) choosing the bus and (0.1%) choosing travel. If the trevel wants to intensify the opportunity to choose the mode used by travelers with a percentage above 50%, then travel must reduce the fare at least Rp. 25,000 from the bus fare.

This research investigates the potential implementation of Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) in Bandung City, Indonesia, focusing on its effectiveness in reducing traffic congestion. The study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method, experiments, and statistical analyses to evaluate ERP's impact on road traffic performance and cost efficiency. The research design includes traffic volume analysis, vehicle operating costs, and data collection through questionnaires from Bandung residents selected randomly. The research subjects include frequent road users in congested areas, and the study was conducted in 2023. Using binary logistic regression, the results show significant shifts in road user behavior, with reductions in traffic volumes of 33% on Jalan Sukajadi, 38% on Jalan Dr. Djunjunan, and 23% on Jalan Terusan Jakarta. Additionally, ERP was found to improve cost efficiency in traffic management. The study concludes that ERP is a promising solution for managing congestion in Bandung, with broader implications for other congested cities in Indonesia.

Abstract

Traffic congestion is a persistent global issue, particularly in densely populated cities like Bandung, Indonesia. The construction of an underpass offers a potential solution to reduce congestion at high-density intersections, such as the Cibiru Roundabout, which connects JL. Soekarno-Hatta, JL. Cibiru, and JL. A.H Nasution. This research analyzes traffic performance and assesses the feasibility of implementing an underpass at this location. A quantitative descriptive research method was used, with data collected through field measurements of vehicle volume and speed. The analysis followed the Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI) 2023 to evaluate capacity, degree of saturation, and service level. Using PTV VISSIM software, simulations were conducted to project traffic conditions over the next ten years, considering a 5% annual growth rate. Results indicate significant congestion, with service levels reaching "F" across various segments. Simulation outcomes suggest that an underpass would improve traffic flow by increasing capacity, reducing delays, and shortening queues. This study provides a valuable reference for urban planners seeking effective interventions in other cities facing similar traffic challenges.

Abstract

As the volume of vehicles on toll roads and non-toll roads increases, congestion occurs when the road capacity can no longer accommodate the volume of vehicles passing through it. one of the most crowded toll roads in Indonesia is the Jagorawi Toll Road. Congestion often occurs at several points along the Jagorawi Toll Road, especially the Cililitan Toll Gate. Congestion at the Toll Gate often occurs because the level of service at the Toll Gate does not match the level of vehicle arrivals during peak hours. Therefore, in the research “Analysis of Multi lane Free Flow Implementation at Toll Gates in Indonesia (Case Study of Cililitan Toll Gate 2)”, this study aims to determine the performance and impact on vehicles at Cililitan Toll Gate 2 that are still using E-Toll and its effect on Vehicle Operating Costs (VOC) if the E-Toll system and MLFF system are installed at Cililitan Toll Gate 2. Therefore, using the analysis method with the help of Microsoft Excel can analyze data on the performance of E-Toll and VOC and survey data processing using SPSS. Based on the research findings, on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 has a delay time on the E-Toll payment system of 49 seconds. And also obtained the value of VOC when MLFF is applied (at a speed of 60 km / h) is lower than the value of VOC when E-Toll is applied (at a speed of 9.72 km / h) resulting in congestion costs of Rp. 3,653.75 / km for passenger cars, Rp. 1,113.66 / km for medium vehicles, Rp. 4,014.32 / km for large buses and Rp. 8,045.89 / km for large trucks.

Abstract

Cirebon City is one of the metropolitan areas stipulated in PP No. 26 of 2008 namely RTRWN as a National Activity Center (PKN) in developing metropolitan areas, especially in Ciayumajakuning area. The Cirebon City has become the center of economic growth, resulting in an increase in the flow of urbanization and in line with social dynamics that must be considered due to urban city activities. One of the impacts of urban cities is the increase in traffic density, causing a decrease in traffic performance. The purpose of this study is to determine the existing conditions of railroad level crossings in Cirebon City and see their impact on traffic performance, social dynamics and economic growth in Cirebon City.  The research method used is a survey method, including traffic volume surveys, train frequency surveys, and calculating queue lengths and calculating delays.  Based on the result of a survey on 8 roads in the Cirebon City with an average capacity of 3191 smp/hour, the degree of saturation is 0.5, the Level of Service value is C, which means the flow is stable, the speed can be controlled by traffic. However, if it is review based on an economic analysis related to the loss of community income due to level crossings if it is assumed that the average income of the people of Cirebon City is IDR 2.304.943.51 each individual experiences losses ranging from IDR 0 – IDR 768.314 for one month depending on the how long the individual experiences waiting time at a level crossing. If analyzed based on fuel consumption, each individual experiences a loss of IDR 0 – IDR 30.294 per month depending on the waiting time and the type of fuel used and if it is associated with the economic growth of Cirebon City, it is expected to increase the contribution of GRDP for each sector and respondents feel that level crossing are very important affect their travel interest.
