Abstract

This study aims to improve the vocabulary mastery of grade XI students of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 11 Jakarta through the Frayer model learning strategy. This type of research is classroom action research, which has four components proposed by Kurt Lewin: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques are done through tests (pretest and posttest), direct observation, interviews, and documentation with data sources from learners, Arabic teachers, and collaborators. In contrast, the data processing method includes data selection and classification, presentation, data processing, and conclusion. Based on learning outcomes, the recapitulation of the average score of students in the first cycle was 70,68 (40% who achieved the Minimum Completeness Criteria). Therefore, researchers continue the second cycle. In cycle II, the average score of students was 77 (86% exceeded the Minimum Completeness Criteria). Based on the results of cycle I and II data, it can be concluded that using Frayer model learning strategies effectively increases students' value in learning vocabulary in madrasah. Thus, using the Frayer model in developing Arabic vocabulary for madrasa students has broad implications, including improving vocabulary understanding, developing critical thinking skills, increasing learning independence, and providing diverse learning approaches.

Abstract

Diversity and plurality are closely related fact with Indonesia. This plural society may generate two potential social conditions: harmonization and social conflicts. This study supports Talcott Parson’s Structural-Functional Theory that a good social system in a society, both structural and functional, could preserve harmonization between religions. This study aims to explore a socio-religious condition in Kampung Sawah Bekasi and Cigugur village by analyzing kinds of harmonization and religious living tolerance within the community and exploring each leader's effort to improve the harmonization and tolerance of religious living in a plural society. This study also used a phenomenologist qualitative method which used interviews, observation and documentation as data-gathering techniques. The research found that the harmonization and toleranceof Kampung Sawah Bekasi and Cibubur village community in religious living prevails with three main assets. They are social, cultural, and kinship. These harmonizations and tolerance of the community religious living in both places manifest in their good relationship, high social intimacy, tight brotherhood, high empathy, and helping each other because of kinship. It is also because of the efforts and the active role within the community from all levels, the community, the regional government and local figures. The role of religious leaders also enhanced these harmonizations and tolerance in both places in West Java as the controller, leader, facilitator and motivator. They helped each other to prioritize unity.

Abstract

Dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, terdapat pertumbuhan signifikan dalam kebutuhan untuk mempelajari bahasa Arab dengan tujuan khusus, seperti bidang diplomasi, bisnis, pendidikan, serta pariwisata. Kurikulum pembelajaran bahasa Arab untuk tujuan khusus berfungsi sebagai jembatan antara bahasa dan konteks di mana bahasa tersebut digunakan. Dalam konteks ini, institusi pendidikan memiliki peran kunci dalam membentuk kurikulum yang memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat dan dunia kerja. Tujuan dari penelitian ini tidak lain adalah untuk menelaah lebih mendalam terkait desain kurikulum bahasa Arab ntuk keperluan khusus tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Pendekatan ini dipilih untuk menggali, menganalisis, dan mensintesis berbagai literatur terkait desain kurikulum Bahasa Arab yang relevan dengan kebutuhan khusus tertentu. Data diperoleh dari berbagai sumber tertulis, seperti buku, jurnal ilmiah, artikel, laporan penelitian, dokumen kebijakan pendidikan, dan karya ilmiah lainnya yang membahas topik desain kurikulum, pembelajaran Bahasa Arab, dan pendidikan untuk tujuan khusus (ESP/English for Specific Purposes sebagai analogi). Dalam penelitian ini, ditemukan bahwa desain pengembangan kurikulum pembelajaran Bahasa Arab yang tepat dapat memiliki dampak signifikan dalam konteks penggunaan bahasa secara praktis. Rancangan tentang metode dan model pembelajaran, serta media pembelajaran harus dirancang sesuai kebutuhan masing-masing siswa. Selain itu, pendekatan yang lebih komunikatif dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Arab juga memberikan hasil yang positif. In the recent years, there has been a significant growth in the need to learn Arabic for specialised purposes, such as fields of diplomacy, business, education, as well as tourism. The learning curriculum Arabic for special purposes serves as a bridge between the language and the the context in which the language is used. In this context, educational institutions educational institutions have a key role in shaping a curriculum that meets the the needs of society and the world of work. The purpose of this of this research is to examine in more depth the design of the Arabic Arabic language curriculum design for these special purposes. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. This approach This approach was chosen to explore, analyse, and synthesise various literatures related to the design of an Arabic curriculum design that is relevant to certain special needs. Data obtained from various written sources, such as books, scientific journals, articles, research reports, education policy documents, and other scholarly works that discussing the topics of curriculum design, Arabic language learning, and education for special purposes (ESP/English for (ESP/English for Specific Purposes as an analogy). In this research, it was found that an appropriate curriculum development design can have a significant impact in the context of practical language use in the context of practical language use. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis penerapan prinsip-prinsip pengembangan kurikulum menurut Hamalik dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Arab di SDIT Bait Adzkia Islamic School Ciputat. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah yang merangkap sebagai guru Bahasa Arab. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa prinsip orientasi pada tujuan, relevansi, efisiensi, efektivitas, fleksibilitas, kontinuitas, keseimbangan, keterpaduan, dan mutu telah diterapkan secara proporsional. Kurikulum disusun secara mandiri dengan pendekatan kontekstual dan komunikatif, meskipun menghadapi tantangan keterbatasan waktu dan guru khusus. Pembiasaan Bahasa Arab diterapkan dalam kegiatan harian, dan evaluasi dilakukan secara tematik serta reflektif. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan pelatihan guru, penambahan waktu belajar, serta integrasi lebih luas antara Bahasa Arab dan mata pelajaran keislaman. Hasil studi ini memberikan kontribusi teoritis dan praktis dalam pengembangan kurikulum Bahasa Arab berbasis nilai-nilai Islam di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas penggunaan model Team Games Tournament (TGT) dalam pengajaran keterampilan menulis di Madrasah Aliyah Jakarta. Peneliti menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain kuasi-eksperimental, di mana sampel dibagi menjadi dua kelompok: kelompok eksperimen yang diajar menggunakan model TGT dan kelompok kontrol yang diajar menggunakan metode tradisional. Data dikumpulkan melalui pre-test, post-test, observasi, dan wawancara, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji N-Gain untuk menentukan efektivitas model yang digunakan. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa menjadi lebih aktif dan antusias dalam pembelajaran menggunakan metode ini dibandingkan dengan metode tradisional. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa metode ini tidak hanya meningkatkan keterampilan menulis, tetapi juga memotivasi siswa untuk belajar dalam lingkungan yang interaktif dan menyenangkan. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model TGT memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan keterampilan menulis siswa. Nilai rata-rata pre-test kelompok eksperimen sebesar 64,32 meningkat menjadi 88,36 setelah diterapkan model TGT, yang menunjukkan peningkatan sebesar 24,04%. Sementara itu, pada kelompok kontrol, nilai rata-rata hanya meningkat dari 54,95 menjadi 63,38, dengan peningkatan sebesar 8,42%. Hasil uji N-Gain menunjukkan bahwa efektivitas model TGT berada pada tingkat sedang dengan nilai 0,68, yang berarti metode ini memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. يهدف هذا البحث إلى دراسة فعالية استخدام نموذج مسابقة ألعاب الفريق (TGT) في تعليم مهارة الكتابة لدى تلاميذ مدرسة الثانوية الإسلامية جاكرتا. اعتمدت الباحثة على المنهج التجريبي باستخدام التصميم شبه التجريبي، حيث تم تقسيم العينة إلى مجموعتين: مجموعة تجريبية تلقت التدريس باستخدام نموذج TGT ، ومجموعة ضابطة تلقت التدريس بالطريقة التقليدية. تم جمع البيانات من خلال الاختبارات القبلية والبعدية، والملاحظة، والمقابلة، ثم تحليلها باستخدام اختبار-t واختبار N-Gain لتحديد مدى فعالية النموذج المستخدم. أظهرت هذا البحث أن تلاميذ كنّ أكثر تفاعلًا وحماسًا أثناء التعلم باستخدام هذه الطريقة مقارنة بالطريقة التقليدية.يثبت هذا البحث أن هذه الطريقة لا تعزز فقط مهارات الكتابة ولكنها أيضًا تحفز تلاميذ على التعلم من خلال بيئة تفاعلية ممتعة. أظهرت النتائج أن استخدام نموذج TGT كان له تأثير إيجابي على تحسين مهارة الكتابة لدى الطالبات. حيث بلغ متوسط درجات الاختبار القبلي في المجموعة التجريبية 64،32 وارتفع إلى 88،36 بعد تطبيق النموذج، مما يدل على زيادة بنسبة.24،02% بينما في المجموعة الضابطة، ارتفع متوسط الدرجات من 54،95 إلى 63،38 فقط، مما يشير إلى زيادة أقل بنسبة8،42%. كما أظهرت نتائج اختبارN-Gain  أن فعالية نموذج TGTكانت في المستوى المتوسط بقيمة 0،68، مما يدل على أن هذه الطريقة أسهمت بشكل ملحوظ في تحسين أداء تلاميذ. بالإضافة إلى ذلك.

Abstract

 Arabic holds a significant role in Islamic education, particularly at the junior secondary level in faith-based schools. Mastery of the language not only supports students’ linguistic competence but also deepens their understanding of Islamic teachings through religious texts. This exploration of Arabic language teaching practices at SMP Mawaddah, Depok, West Java, reveals various challenges faced by teachers and the strategies employed to overcome them. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through direct classroom observations and semi-structured interviews. Key challenges include low student motivation and interest, limited instructional time, and diverse student backgrounds and proficiency levels. To address these obstacles, teachers implement personalized approaches, utilize simple and contextual learning media, enhance student motivation, and manage time efficiently. These findings offer a clear picture of the dynamics of Arabic language instruction in Islamic-based schools and encourage the adoption of more adaptive and effective teaching strategies.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of Kurikulum Merdeka (Independent Curriculum) in Arabic language learning at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 11 Jakarta, a pivotal shift in Indonesia's education system aimed at fostering deeper learning and teacher autonomy. The research primarily sought to understand how the curriculum is implemented, the major challenges teachers face, and the innovative strategies employed to overcome these barriers. Utilizing a qualitative case study approach, data was meticulously collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and comprehensive document analysis, involving both teachers and students. Key findings reveal that teachers encounter significant challenges, including limited relevant resources, low communicative interaction, and students' perception of Arabic merely as a formal           obligation, compounded by heterogeneous student backgrounds. Despite these hurdles, teachers demonstrated remarkable initiative, developing innovative differentiation strategies like contextual videos, intensive study groups, and digital projects. These approaches notably boosted student motivation and confidence, demonstrating the curriculum's adaptive potential. The study concludes that the successful implementation of Kurikulum Merdeka critically depends on proactive teacher agency and creative adaptation to complex realities, underscoring the need for synergistic support in policy, resources, and training.

Abstract

This research examines teachers' strategies in implementing the Arabic curriculum at Pioneer Elementary School in Depok, West Java. The background of this study is based on the importance of Arabic language education in Islamic-based schools as well as the need for an effective pedagogical approach, given the “unique” curriculum combined at Pioneer Elementary School, namely: Tahfiz Al-Qur'an, nature concept, and pesantren. The purpose of this study is to identify, describe, and analyse teaching strategies, media, as well as adaptations to student characteristics. The method used was descriptive qualitative through direct observation and in-depth interviews with the head of curriculum and Arabic language teachers. The results of this study show that Pioneer Elementary School implements holistic and innovative strategies, including language days, compulsory Arabic days, language mabit, as well as the use of Interactive media and active conversation methods in the classroom. The school is also adaptive to students with special needs by forming study groups. It is concluded that the success of Arabic learning at Pioneer Primary School comes from the synergy of curriculum, immersive environment, and student-centred pedagogy that can create an inspiring and effective learning experience.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan kegiatan kokurikuler Bahasa Arab serta sejauh mana kegiatan tersebut berperan dalam mendukung pembelajaran Bahasa Arab di MI Al-Mursyidiyyah Pamulang. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kegiatan tersebut berdasarkan empat aspek model evaluasi CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis evaluasi program. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Sumber data terdiri atas kepala sekolah, guru Bahasa Arab, dan siswa yang terlibat dalam kegiatan kokurikuler Bahasa Arab. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan reduksi, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Kegiatan kokurikuler Bahasa Arab terlaksana dengan baik dan relevan dengan kebutuhan lembaga. Aspek konteks menunjukkan kesesuaian tujuan dengan kebutuhan sekolah; aspek input menunjukkan adanya dukungan sarana, prasarana, dan perencanaan yang baik; aspek proses menunjukkan pelaksanaan yang berjalan sesuai jadwal meskipun masih terkendala waktu; dan aspek produk menunjukkan peningkatan hasil belajar Bahasa Arab siswa. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan kokurikuler ini efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa Arab dan perlu dikembangkan secara berkelanjutan agar hasilnya lebih optimal.
