Abstract

Fish is a food product that spoils easily if the processing is not done directly, quickly, and precisely. The quality of fish needs to be maintained and handled well so that it becomes a processed food product that has added value. One fish that is quite popular is the kurisi fish which is an economical type of demersal fish. The nutritional content of kurisi fish is quite high, around 16.85% and low in fat, namely around 2.2%. Kurisi fish has a high protein content so it can be processed into a fisheries diversification product, namely otak-otak. The aim of this research is to determine the process of processing otak otak using raw materials of kurisi fish (Nemipterus nemotophorus) qualify organoleptic quality requirements so that it can be ensured that the final product of the process qualify standards and suitable for consumption. The data collection methods are active participant observation and interviews. The parameters of this research are organoleptic and sensory tests. The results of the research show that the organoleptic value of fresh fish at UMKM Monika Rasa is 8 and based on yield calculations, the average value of the final product is 154%. The organoleptic or sensory test for the otak-otak product was 8, which means that consumers like the otak-otak product very much. Product development strategies include increasing the use of appropriate technology and improving the quality of the workforce.

Abstract

Keberhasilan produksivitas perikanan tangkap sangat dipengaruhi tingkat upaya penangkapan nelayan. Purse seine merupakan jenis alat tangkap untuk menangkap gerombolan ikan. Purse seine memberikan hasil tangkapan lebih banyak dan tidak merusak habitat ikan di laut. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui produktivitas penangkapan ikan menggunakan purse seine di wilayah Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera (PPS) Kendari, Sulawesi Tenggara. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada September-Desember 2023. Jenis penelitian merupakan diskiptif kualitatif. Penentuan sampel dengan purposive sampling sebagai objek penelitian yaitu KM. Bunga Nelayan Baru 01 dengan fishing ground di WPP NRI 714. Metode pengambilan data yaitu data primer meliputi teknik pengoperasian dan kapal penangkapan, jenis ikan dari hasil tangkap dan berat spesies hasil tangkapan sedangkan data sekunder dari instansi terkait. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan produktivitas alat tangkap purse seine di PPS Kendari per trip hasil dari tangkapan tertinggi di trip keempat yaitu sebesar 2.250 kg dengan nilai CPUE sebesar 375, sedangkan tangkapan ikan terendah trip kedua yaitu sebesar 970 kg dengan CPUE sebesar 194. Rendahnya hasil trip kedua diantaranya karena kondisi bulan sedang terang dan   gelombang laut yang tinggi. Produktivitas purse seine dari tahun 2018 sampai 2022 tertinggi tahun 2022 sebesar 19.173.072 kg/tahun dan terendah pada tahun 2021 sebesar 10.085.323 kg/tahun. Produksi rata-rata kapal purse seine sebesar 15.180.883 kg/tahun.

Abstract

Kurangnya nelayan dalam memperhatikan keselamatan saat bekerja di kapal yang mengakibatkan seringnya terjadi kecelakaan kerja. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan nelayan tentang keselamatan kerja di kapal penangkap ikan agar dapat meminimalisir terjadinya kecelakaan kerja. Kegiatan ini diikuti 15 orang nelayan Desa Nyamplungsari, Kecamatan Petarukan, Kabupaten Pemalang. Metode yang digunakan terdiri dari 3 tahap yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan dan monitoring evaluasi. Penyampaian materi dilakukan dengan teori dan praktik. Kesimpulan kegiatan ini adalah (1) peserta mengikuti kegiatan dengan antusias dan proaktif, (2) peserta mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan tentang keselamatan kerja di kapal terlihat dari hasil pretest-postest dari rata-rata skor 50 menjadi 87 setelah mengikuti pelatihan, (3) pelatihan memberikan manfaat bagi peserta.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze mathematical reasoning abilities in solving mathematics problems of junior high school students. This research uses a qualitative description method. The technique for taking subjects is purposive sampling which takes subjects based on certain conditions. The research subjects were 6 students in class VIII of MIBS Middle School in Kebumen. The data collection techniques used were tests, interviews and documentation. The instruments used were mathematical reasoning ability test questions and interviews. The results of this research show that: (1) The mathematical reasoning abilities of students with high mathematical abilities meet the indicators of presenting mathematical statements orally, in writing, in pictures, diagrams and tables, estimating answers and solution processes, calculating rules using certain formulas, and drawing conclusions or generalize; (2) The mathematical reasoning abilities of students with moderate mathematical abilities meet the indicators of presenting mathematical statements orally, in writing, in pictures, diagrams and tables, estimating answers and solution processes, and drawing conclusions or making generalizations; (3) The mathematical reasoning abilities of students with low mathematical abilities do not meet the indicators of mathematical reasoning abilities.

Abstract

One of the challenges in managing small-scale fisheries with limited data is the need for indicators to estimate the stock status and the total allowable catch for sustainable utilization of fish resources. This study aims to estimate the stock status, catch, and optimal fishing effort of the grouper fishery in Saleh Bay, West Nusa Tenggara Province by using the Length-based Spawning Potential Ratio analysis, production surplus model, and bioeconomic approach. Based on the results of this study, it is known that Plectopomus leopardus and Epinephelus coioides are in overexploited condition, while Plectropomus maculatus is in fully exploited status. This study also shows that with a bioeconomic approach, optimal conditions for grouper fisheries in these waters are achieved when the catch is 3,862.1 tonnes per year. The results of this study underline the importance of maximum economic yield-based management as a framework for a fishing quota-based system as an additional instrument in implementing sustainable fishery management in the future. The success of applying the quota system and the total allowable effort is determined by the accuracy of the catch data of small vessels around Saleh Bay under regulatory provisions, supervision and effective law enforcement, the socio-cultural conditions of local communities and the level of compliance with regulations.Keywords: fishing effort, grouper, overfished, quota system.

Abstract

Kerapu cantang merupakan hasil perkawinan silang antara indukan kerapu macan betina (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus) dengan indukan kerapu kertang jantan (Epinephelus lanceolatus) dengan tujuan untuk mendapatkan varietas baru yang pertumbuhannya lebih cepat dari pada induknya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui performa pertumbuhan, nilai Survival Rate, dan kondisi parameter kualitas air benih kerapu cantang pada fase pendederan. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode survei dengan penentuan pengambilan sample menggunakan metode Simple Random Sampling dengan mengukur berat dan panjang ikan. Data diperoleh melalui pengamatan selama 4 minggu. Setiap sampling ikan kerapu cantang diambil 10 ekor kemudian diukur panjang dan beratnya. Data yang disajikan dalam bentuk gambar, tabel dan diagram. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai panjang mutlak sebesar 3,88 cm, rata-rata nilai berat mutlak sebesar 10,23 gram, Survival Rate sebesar 85,94%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat diketahui bahwa performa ikan kerapu cantang cukup baik dengan tingkat kelulushidupan yang juga masih diatas baku mutu yaitu ± 80%. Parameter kualitas air yang diukur meliputi suhu (28-29ºC), salinitas (33-34 ppt), pH (8,13-8,30), dan DO (5,32-5,96 mg/L), hasil pengukuran kualitas air tergolong baik, sebab masih dalam baku mutu air untuk budidaya benih kerapu cantang berdasarkan SNI. Nilai pertumbuhan ikan kerapu cantang masih sesuai dengan SNI 8036.2: 2014 untuk fase pendederan, dengan tingkat kelulushidupan yang cukup tinggi disebabkan oleh faktor daya tahan tubuh benih ikan kerapu cantang.   Cantang grouper is the result of crossbreeding between female tiger grouper parents (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus) with male tiger grouper parents (Epinephelus lanceolatus) with the aim of obtaining a new variety that grows faster than its parent. This research aims to determine the growth performance, Survival Rate value, and condition of water quality parameters for cantang grouper seeds in the nursery phase. The method used is a survey method by determining sampling using the Simple Random Sampling method by measuring the weight and length of the fish through observations for 4 weeks. For each sampling, 10 cantang grouper fish were taken and then their length and weight were measured. Observation results are presented in the form of pictures, tables and diagrams. The observation results show that the average absolute length value is 3.88 cm, the average absolute weight value is 10.23 grams, the survival rate is 85.94%. Based on these results, it can be seen that the performance of cantang grouper fish is quite good with a survival rate that is still above the quality standard, namely ± 80%. Water quality parameters measured include temperature (28-29ºC), salinity (33-34 ppt), pH (8.13-8.30), and DO (5.32-5.96 mg/L), the results of quality measurements The water is classified as good, because it is still within the water quality standards for cultivating cantang grouper seeds based on SNI. The growth value of cantang grouper is still in accordance with SNI 8036.2: 2014 for the nursery phase, with a fairly high survival rate due to the body resistance factor of cantang grouper seeds.

Abstract

This study maps the distribution of chlorophyll-a and sea surface temperature (SST) in Karang Jeruk Waters, Tegal Regency, using Geographic Information System (GIS) with satellite data from JAXA Himawari and NOAA GFS. The mapping results on February 13, 2025, show chlorophyll-a concentrations ranging from 0.01 to 0.12 mg/m³ and SST between 25-27°C, supporting phytoplankton life and primary productivity. Water quality parameters such as salinity, temperature, pH, and clarity fall within acceptable standards, indicating that the coral reef ecosystem in this conservation area is relatively healthy. This research is expected to serve as a foundation for sustainable ecosystem management in Karang Jeruk Waters.
