Abstract

This article examines the role of sharia economic law in the process of sustainable economic development. This research identifies how sharia economic principles such as the MAGRIB prohibition of justice and balance can play a role in the process of sustainable economic development. This article highlights how sharia economics can empower the community's economy so that it can reduce barriers to financial access for underprivileged people. Furthermore, this research reviews the responsible and sustainable management of natural resources in accordance with sharia economic principles, namely balance. The role of Islamic banking and financial institutions which aim to improve people's welfare, economic income and quality of life is also explained in depth in this article. Furthermore, this article also discusses the challenges faced in implementing sharia economic law in sustainable economic development. The resulting conclusion shows that sharia economic law with its principles that prioritize justice, balance and sustainability is deemed more suitable to support sustainable economic development than conventional economics which only prioritizes economic growth without paying attention to balance and sustainability in the future.

Abstract

Climate change and environmental degradation are global challenges that require collective and strategic action from various economic sectors, including the sharia economy. Sharia economics, which is based on Islamic principles, offers a unique and holistic approach to facing these challenges. Sharia economics emphasizes a balance between individual and collective interests, as well as a harmonious relationship between humans and the environment. Sustainable and ethical investment is one of the main pillars in sharia economics, where investment is directed at projects that are not only economically profitable but also socially and environmentally responsible. This article explores how sharia economic principles can be integrated into climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies. With an analytical and descriptive approach, this research highlights the role of sharia economics in achieving sustainable development and overcoming environmental challenges through the principles of justice, balance and sustainability.

Abstract

Monopoly in the context of sharia economics is referred to as "ihtikar" or hoarding behavior, which is prohibited because it can disrupt market mechanisms and economic balance. Nevertheless, there are cases where monopoly can be allowed if the goal is to achieve people's prosperity. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a literature study method to gain a comprehensive understanding of various financing models in sharia economics. The research results indicate the need for further research to understand the impact and implications of monopoly in sharia economic transactions. An in-depth analysis of the concept of monopoly in the context of sharia economics can help identify solutions or strategies that are in accordance with sharia economic principles to prevent and overcome monopoly practices that are detrimental to society. The need for an effective regulatory role in supervising the market so that it remains healthy and competitive, along with the importance of broader awareness and understanding of the relationship between sharia economic principles and conventional economic concepts such as monopoly.

Abstract

Most of the population in Indonesia is Muslim, this is a large market area for Islamic banks. With the existence of Islamic banks that offer services similar to Islamic sharia or based on the Qur'an, this makes the Muslim community interested in the products offered by Islamic banks. This product is something that can be provided to the market to generate attention, bought, used, or consumed that is able to satisfy a desire or need. By prioritizing very attractive services and facilities, it can also attract customers to use products or goods provided by Islamic banks. Islamic banks must be more active in communicating with their customers, especially if they have competitors.

Abstract

In the current age of globalization, it is inevitable that there is competition in various sectors of the economy, including banking. which is why Islamic banks and regular banks are facing more competition. Nowadays, businesses compete with one another to draw in new clients and hold onto their current clientele. This study aims to show the differences that exist between the progress of Islamic banking performance and conventional banking with the hope of increasing bank performance through this strategy to escalate the customers and increase profits. The effect of bank performance appraisals can be utilized to understand future business strategies and to assess how effective the implementation of the company's operational policies and activities is. This study used descriptive literature methodology to use secondary data. The study’s conclusion indicate that Islamic banking and conventional banking are dissimilar in terms of financial performance, based on financial statements, credit, as well as savings systems

Abstract

This research explores the application of sharia economic principles in the capital market and its impact on market stability and efficiency. The principles of sharia, including the prohibitions on usury, gharar, and maisir, provide a unique ethical and legal framework. Financial instruments such as sukuk, Islamic mutual funds, and Islamic stock indices offer alternatives for Muslim investors. This study found that these instruments are not only compliant with sharia but also able to attract the interest of investors who want to avoid transactions prohibited in Islam. However, challenges such as the need for strict regulation and increased awareness still need to be overcome. Nevertheless, the Islamic capital market has great potential to support a more inclusive and stable financial system. This research uses qualitative descriptive analysis with literature study methods and content analysis to identify and analyze sharia financial instruments used in the capital market, including sukuk, sharia mutual funds, and sharia stock indices. Through this analysis, it was found that Islamic financial instruments not only comply with sharia requirements but also offer an attractive alternative for Muslim investors who wish to avoid transactions considered haram in Islam.

Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) play an important role in the Indonesian economy. However, access to financing is still a major obstacle to the growth of SMEs. Islamic financial institutions have great potential to support SME financing through innovative products that comply with sharia principles. This study aims to analyze the innovation of Islamic microfinance products in the development of SMEs. The research method used is a qualitative approach with literature studies and in-depth interviews. The results show that product innovations such as mudharabah, musyarakah, murabahah, and qardh financing play a significant role in meeting the financing needs of SMEs. The research also identified challenges and opportunities for the development of Islamic microfinance products for SMEs in the future.

Abstract

. This research aims to explore the relationship between physical infrastructure, institutional infrastructure, public policy, and creative economic growth in developing countries. The research method used is quantitative with a cross-sectional approach, involving populations of creative economy actors in four developing countries—Indonesia, Vietnam, Kenya and Brazil. Data was collected through surveys and in-depth interviews, and analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques. Research findings show that physical infrastructure, institutions and public policies significantly contribute to increasing creative economic growth. Investment in adequate infrastructure and strengthening conducive public policies have proven effective in increasing the productivity and competitiveness of the creative economy sector. The implications of this research are important for policy makers to formulate more effective strategies in supporting the creative economy in developing countries, with an emphasis on integrating various aspects of infrastructure and policy to achieve optimal results.

Abstract

Currently, sharia banking is developing rapidly as an alternative to conventional banking systems based on sharia principles. However, as sharia banking develops, new challenges emerge that require the implementation of effective risk management. Existence risk management is very important to avoid losses arising from not complying with sharia regulations and principles. The aim of writing the research is to examine the role of governance and the existence of risk management in Islamic banking. This research applies a qualitative descriptive approach by applying library research methods using secondary data originating from articles, research results and references related to the researcher's topic. The research results show that the role of governance and maintenance in risk management in sharia banking is very important to ensure operations comply with sharia principles and industry standards. Good governance increases transparency, accountability and operational integrity, while maintaining sharia law and banking regulations, reducing legal and reputation risks so that it can achieve stability and extinction in its operations.

Abstract

Digitalisasi yang dipercepat oleh pandemi Covid-19 telah mengubah lanskap bisnis Indonesia, mendorong UMKM untuk mengadopsi digital marketing guna meningkatkan omzet dan mencapai kesuksesan. Marketplace seperti Shopee berperan penting dalam ekonomi kreatif, menawarkan berbagai fitur yang membantu UMKM menjangkau pasar lebih luas. John Howkins memperkenalkan konsep ekonomi kreatif yang mengandalkan ide, kreativitas, dan perlindungan Hak Kekayaan Intelektual (HKI). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif untuk meneliti perkembangan ekonomi kreatif dan peran Shopee dalam mendukung UMKM. Shopee menyediakan platform yang aman dan berbagai fitur pendukung bagi UMKM untuk memasarkan produk mereka secara efektif. Program Shopee Kampus memberikan bimbingan bagi para pelaku ekonomi kreatif, membantu mereka membangun toko online, mengembangkan strategi pemasaran, dan meningkatkan konversi penjualan.
