Abstract

Di era digital, jilbab tidak lagi sekadar simbol religiusitas dan kesalehan, tetapi telah menjadi komoditas visual dan komersial yang dibentuk oleh kapitalisme digital dan algoritma media sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana jilbab dikomodifikasi dalam budaya digital dan bagaimana perempuan Muslim dieksploitasi secara simbolis melalui standar visual yang didorong oleh tren pasar. Ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang dilakukan dari Januari hingga Maret 2024, dengan memanfaatkan tinjauan pustaka dan analisis tafsir kritis. Penelitian ini mengacu pada hermeneutika feminis, terutama dari perspektif Asma Barlas, dan menganalisis interpretasi Al-Qur'an serta konten media digital. Penelitian ini mengungkap pergeseran signifikan dalam makna jilbab dari bentuk perlindungan spiritual menjadi pernyataan mode yang tunduk pada tekanan performatif dan estetika. Ini menekankan urgensi mengembangkan literasi digital yang berakar pada nilai-nilai Al-Qur'an dan keadilan gender untuk memberdayakan perempuan Muslim dalam merebut kembali jilbab sebagai simbol iman, identitas, dan perlawanan terhadap patriarki digital.

Abstract

This study examines the concepts of muhkam and mutashabih verses in the Qur’an as essential components of Ulumul Qur’an (Qur’anic sciences). The background of this study arises from the need to understand the characteristics of Qur’anic verses accurately, given the diversity of linguistic styles and the depth of meanings contained within them. The study aims to explain the definitions, characteristics, examples, and functions of muhkam and mutashabih verses, as well as the wisdom behind their existence. The research employs a literature review method by analyzing classical and contemporary works on Qur’anic studies, scientific journals, and primary material from ULUMUL QUR’AN Kelompok 7. The findings indicate that muhkam verses have clear meanings and serve as the foundation of Islamic law, while mutashabih verses contain ambiguous, symbolic, or metaphysical meanings that require interpretation. Both categories complement each other within the structure of the Qur’an and reflect its miraculous nature. This study highlights the importance of methodological accuracy in interpreting Qur’anic verses to prevent misinterpretation and doctrinal deviation.

Abstract

The Position of Women in Leadership in Indonesia still faces various social and cultural challenges. Although the constitution guarantees women's right to lead, traditional social norms and gender stereotypes often become obstacles. This study aims to analyze Muhammad Mutawalli Al-Sya'rawi's views on leadership and the status of women in Islam through a linguistic approach. Al-Sya'rawi, an Egyptian exegete, is renowned for his linguistic-semantic method of interpretation, which offers a new perspective in understanding Qur'anic verses. This study uses a qualitative method to explore Al-Sya'rawi's perspectives on leadership and the role of women by analyzing his writings and understanding the cultural and social backgrounds that influenced his thought. An interpretative, descriptive, and content analysis approach is employed to examine Al-Sya'rawi’s interpretation of verses related to leadership and the status of women, particularly in Surah al-Nisā’ [4]: 34. The analysis shows that Islam provides equal opportunities for both men and women in the public sphere, while also emphasizing women's roles in the domestic sphere as wives and mothers, with rights and responsibilities equal to those of men. According to Al-Sya‘rawi, although women can participate in the public domain, leadership in general is still considered more suitable for men, given the significant responsibilities that leadership entails.

Abstract

This article discusses the concepts of Makkiy and Madaniy within the discipline of Ulumul Qur’an, focusing on differences in timing, location, characteristics, and the methods used to classify the Qur’anic verses revealed during the two phases of the Prophet Muhammad’s mission. The study employs a descriptive approach supported by classical and contemporary literature that explains the meanings, features, and significance of understanding Makkiy and Madaniy classifications. The findings reveal that this knowledge is not only related to the historical revelation of the Qur’an but also crucial for understanding the socio-historical context, da'wah strategies, and the gradual development of Islamic law. A comprehensive understanding of these categories helps prevent misinterpretation and strengthens insight into the dynamics of the Prophet’s mission. Thus, the concepts of Makkiy and Madaniy hold an essential role in the study of Qur’anic sciences and serve as a foundation for deeper analysis of the Qur’anic message.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara komprehensif teori nasikh dan mansukh dalam Al-Qur’an, mulai dari definisi, rukun dan syarat, jenis-jenis nasikh, hingga perbedaan pandangan ulama klasik dan kontemporer mengenai keberadaannya. Penelitian menggunakan metode studi pustaka dengan menelaah literatur klasik dan modern yang relevan dalam bidang Ulumul Qur’an, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan historis-deskriptif untuk melihat perkembangan pemahaman konsep ini sepanjang sejarah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa naskh merupakan konsep yang diakui oleh mayoritas ulama sebagai mekanisme penyempurnaan hukum agar tetap selaras dengan perubahan kondisi sosial. Tiga bentuk utama naskh yang sering dibahas meliputi penghapusan bacaan dan hukum sekaligus, penghapusan hukum namun bacaan tetap ada, serta penghapusan bacaan tetapi hukumnya tetap berlaku. Perdebatan muncul di kalangan ulama; sebagian menerima keberadaan naskh sebagai bagian dari dinamika wahyu, sementara sebagian lainnya, seperti al-Isfahani, menolaknya dan memilih pendekatan takhsis. Kajian terhadap pemikiran Syah Wali Allah, Abdullah An-Na’im, dan Abdullah Saeed menunjukkan bahwa gagasan kontemporer cenderung menafsirkan naskh sebagai proses historis yang memungkinkan kontekstualisasi hukum di masa kini. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam pemahaman perkembangan teori nasikh-mansukh serta implikasinya dalam pendidikan Islam, khususnya dalam penguatan metode interpretasi Al-Qur’an yang lebih kontekstual dan responsif terhadap kebutuhan zaman.

Abstract

The process of delivering information in teaching and learning becomes more engaging, effective, and efficient when expressed through beautiful and meaningful language. One of the strategies to achieve this is by using amtsal (parables). Amtsal in the Qur’an function as abstract visualizations conveyed through various forms of expression by analogizing one thing to another that is similar or comparable. An amtsal is an expression intended to resemble a situation described in a statement with the condition in which the statement is presented. It is used to demonstrate the quality of an outcome, clarify fundamental and abstract matters, and provide beneficial lessons for its audience. Its purpose is to convey truth and highlight the significance of the message it contains. In educational practice, the use of amtsal as a medium aims to build certain premises so that learners can formulate logical inferences (istinbāṭ) based on them.

Abstract

Ulumul Qur’an is a field of knowledge that discusses the Qur’an, including its history such as how it was compiled, written, the reasons for its revelation, whether it is Makkiyah or Madaniyah, as well as abrogation Naskh-Mansukh. This field of knowledge also covers understanding Qira’ah al-Qur’ān, I’jaz Al-Qur’an, al- Munasabah, al-Muhkamat and al-Mutashabihat, translation, Tafsīr, Ta`wīl, and various methods of interpreting the Al-Qur’an. This article aims to discuss one branch of Ulumul Qur’an, namely Munasabah, systematically and describe it in terms of cause and effect relationships, specifications, explanations, reinforcement, comparison, or other aspects that connect one verse with another. Munasabah is one branch of Ulumul Qur’an that is very necessary for understanding the content or meaning contained in the Al- Qur’an. This research uses the literature study method, which is a technique for collecting data or information by reading articles, journals, and books to be reviewed. The importance of understanding the relationship between verses of the Al-Qur’an in religious life makes the author interested in analyzing Munasabah in order to be beneficial, especially in daily life. Therefore, understanding the role of Munasabah is very important for Muslims to gain a deep comprehension of the chronological meanings contained in the Al-Qur’an.
