Abstract

This study aims to identify language errors in the field of morphology on banners and pamphlets. The research uses a descriptive method with observation, photos, and notes to obtain data by observing language usage. Errors in language usage often occur in both spoken and written form, deviating from language rules and not in accordance with EYD (Improved Spelling). Language errors or language processes are closely related to the language learning process. Language errors occur in both spoken and written language, such as in the field of morphology. With these language errors, the analysis of language errors is very important. Language errors on banners on the highway in the field of morphology mostly relate to written language, including the use of standard and non-standard words. Based on the data found and analyzed, it can be concluded that errors in language usage in the field of morphology related to word writing are still often found in banner writings. This study examines eight data related to standard and non-standard word errors.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of slang language on social media and its connection to standard language. The method used is qualitative descriptive with data analysis techniques through observation and field notes. Linguistic theories, especially morphology and syntax theories, are used in this research. The results show that the use of slang language on social media is connected to standard language, both in terms of morphology and syntax. Although slang language contains many loanwords from foreign languages and uses many abbreviations or acronyms, its usage has its own rules that follow the general structure of the Indonesian language. Therefore, slang language on social media can be considered as a form of language variation or style used by people in social interactions on social media.

Abstract

This research focuses on explaining how communication technology influences the reading interest of Indonesian language students at UIN SU Medan. Communication technology among teenagers or students greatly influences their interest in reading, especially students who use communication technology such as smartphones or the internet are more interested because apart from that they can access content or features that are considered more interesting than reading books. The research method used is causal associative (influence) research using a quantitative approach. The aim of this research is to determine the significant influence of Communication Technology on reading interest of Indonesian Tadris Language Students at UIN SU Medan. The results of the research are the influences caused by the current development of communication technology, communication technology certainly has both positive and negative impacts on its users.
