Abstract

Penelitian ini mengevaluasi kelayakan usaha pendederan ikan Channa pulchra menggunakan pakan alami (cacing sutra dan Daphnia magna) berskala rumah tangga di Kota Bandar Lampung. Penelitian dilakukan dari bulan Januari hingga April 2024 untuk menganalisis pertumbuhan, kesehatan ikan, dan aspek ekonomi usaha. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pakan alami berkontribusi positif terhadap pertumbuhan ikan Channa dengan tingkat kelangsungan hidup mencapai 90%. Data anggaran laba yang didapat dari analisis kelayakan usaha ini sebesar Rp1.065.500,00 dengan Break Even Point (BEP) 112 ekor ikan per siklus produksi. Analisis keuntungan yang didapat adalah sebesar 28,9% dari total komponen biaya yang dikeluarkan. Analisis biaya produksi, overhead tetap, dan operasional menunjukkan pengeluaran yang terkontrol, mendukung keberlanjutan usaha pendederan ikan Channa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis kelayakan usaha yang dilakukan, didapatkan simpulan bahwa usaha pendederan ikan Channa (Channa pulchra) menjanjikan secara ekonomi dan memiliki potensi keuntungan dalam usaha budidaya ikan hias.   This study evaluates the feasibility of Channa pulchra nursery using natural feeds (silkworms and Daphnia magna) on a household scale in Bandar Lampung City. The research was conducted from January to April 2024 to analyze growth, fish health, and the economic aspects of the aquaculture business. The results indicate that feeding with natural feeds positively contributes to Channa fish growth, with a survival rate reaching 90%. The profit budget data from the feasibility analysis amounted to Rp1,065,500.00, with a break-even point (BEP) 112 fish per production cycle. Profit analysis showed a return of 28.9% on the total expenditure components. Analysis of production costs, fixed overheads, and operational costs indicated controlled expenditure, supporting the sustainability of Channa fish nursery operations. Based on the research findings and feasibility analysis conducted, it is concluded that the Channa pulchra fish nursery is promising economically and has profit potential in the business operations.

Abstract

The waters of Lampung Bay have high potential resources for threadfin bream (Nemipterus sp.). This fish has significant economic value as a diverse food ingredient. However, currently, the body size of threadfin bream found tends to be uniform and even smaller due to continuous overfishing. The research was conducted to assess the status of utilization of threadfin bream resources in the waters of Lampung Bay based on five important aspects, namely ecology, economics, social, technological and institutional. The research was carried out in May 2023 at Lempasing Fishing Port, Bandar Lampung City, with data collection through observation and interviews. Data analysis used the multi-dimensional scaling (MDS) method using the Rapfish (rapid appraisal for fisheries) application to evaluate the sustainability of the use of threadfin bream. The results of the analysis show that the sustainability index value for the use of threadfin bream in the waters of Lampung Bay is as follows: ecological dimension 48.59; economic dimension 36.80; social dimension 75.00; technology dimension 49.91; and ethical dimension 61.64. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the use of threadfin bream in the waters of Lampung Bay is quite sustainable, with an average index value of 54.39.Keywords: Ecological dimension, multi-dimensional scaling, Rapfish, sustainability index.

Abstract

This research was conducted at PPP Lempasing between March until May 2024 to explore the growth patterns and condition factors of the little tuna (Euthynnus affinis). The results indicate that the growth pattern of this species is negatively allometric, with a coefficient (b) value of 2.7178. The average condition factor of the fish ranges from 0.428 to 1.187, suggesting a slim body shape and that the fish are not overly fat. This negative allometric growth pattern means that the length of the fish grows faster than its weight, which may indicate stress or environmental challenges. The low condition factor suggests that the fish are not in optimal condition, possibly due to a lack of food or unfavorable environmental factors. Additionally, the frequency distribution of the little tuna lengths shows that the sizes caught range from 230 to 520 mm, with the highest frequency in the size class of 370-389 mm and the lowest in the 510-529 mm class. It is necessary to implement medium-term management strategies such as improving human resource quality, empowering fishing communities through alternative livelihoods, and developing environmentally friendly fishing gear.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara yang memiliki banyak spesies ikan pari, namun hal ini mengancam keberlangsungan hidup spesies tersebut serta mengganggu habitat dan ekosistemnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi keanekaragaman ikan pari di berbagai lokasi, menilai status konservasi spesies ikan pari, serta mengetahui jenis ikan pari yang paling banyak ditemukan di Indonesia. Untuk mencapai Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDGs), penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif dengan menganalisis data dari sepuluh artikel yang membahas status konservasi ikan pari di Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ikan pari yang paling sering tertangkap adalah Himantura uarnacoides dengan 531 individu dan Dasyatis zugei sebanyak 501 individu. Berdasarkan status konservasinya, sebagian besar ikan pari yang ditemukan tergolong dalam kategori rentan (VU), hampir terancam (NT), terancam punah (EN), dan kritis (CR), sementara beberapa spesies lainnya termasuk dalam kategori tidak dievaluasi (NE) atau data tidak cukup (DD).

Abstract

This research was conducted in Kiluan Village, Kelumbayan District, Tanggamus Regency. This study examines the essence of managing marine park tourism by focusing on the surrounding environment (Community-based Management) in Kiluan Negeri, Tanggamus Regency. The research was conducted by descriptive analysis of qualitative approaches through direct studies (primary data) and existing data (secondary data). Kilian Negeri has beautiful and unique marine resources. Problems in Kiluan Bay are related to economic inequality, limited resources, environmental damage due to garbage, and the threat of natural disasters. The general public still needs to learn how involved they are in managing marine park tourism appropriately and sustainably. The active participation of NGOs, namely the NGO Cikal, plays an important role in managing the Kiluan Bay conservation area. Some Community-Based Management (CBM) strategies that can be done are preparing tourism development plans, developing infrastructure, managing tourist destinations, holding promotions and marketing, developing tourism products, conducting HR training, collaborating with the private sector, and developing integrated tourist areas. Community-based management (CBM) of marine park tourism is based on recognizing the importance of local communities in maintaining the sustainability of the marine environment and obtaining economic and social benefits from the tourism sector.

Abstract

Teluk Kiluan memiliki keindahan alam dan sumberdaya alam yang beragam sehingga kawasan ini menjadi destinasi wisata. Selain terdapat kegiatan wisata di Teluk Kiluan juga terdapat aktivitas perikanan tangkap. Aktivitas wisata dan perikanan ini berada dalam satu zona pemanfaatan yang sama. Peningkatan aktivitas wisata dan perikanan tangkap di Teluk Kiluan akan berakibat terjadi degradasi sumberdaya yang ada di sekitar Teluk Kiluan apabila tidak dikelola dengan baik. Aktivitas perikanan tangkap yang ada di Teluk Kiluan yaitu menggunakan alat tangkap longline. Maka aktivitas penangkapan perlu diatur seperti mengetahui tingkat ramah lingkungan alat tangkap longline. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2022 di Teluk Kiluan. Metode yang digunkan yaitu dengan snowball sampling dengan analisis data berdasarkan sembilan kriteria alat tangkap ramah lingkungan yang ditetapkan oleh FAO. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu alat tangkap longline tergolong alat tangkap yang sangat ramah lingkungan dengan total skor 30,4 sehingga dalam aktifitas penangkapan ikan menggunakan longline dapat mendukung pengembangan ekowisata di Teluk Kiluan.

Abstract

The kurisi fish (Nemipterus nematophorus) is one of the demersal species caught at PPP Lempasing using purse seine nets. This study aims to obtain information about the growth patterns and condition factors of kurisi fish found in the waters of Teluk Lampung and landed at PPP Lempasing. The methods employed include direct data collection through random sampling of fish, where analysis is conducted to identify the relationship between length and weight as well as the condition factor of the fish. The results indicate that the total catch of kurisi fish reached 350 individuals, with total lengths ranging from 140 to 256 mm, categorized into 9 length classes. The growth pattern of kurisi fish is characterized as negative allometric, with a value of b equal to 2.4405, indicating that the length of the fish grows faster than its weight. The average condition factor of kurisi fish is 0.9763, suggesting that these fish have a flattened body shape.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis berbagai aspek biologi ikan gabus, termasuk tingkat kematangan gonad, indeks kematangan gonad, ukuran pertama kali matang gonad, fekunditas, dan pola pemijahan, serta faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kematangan gonad dan pemijahan di berbagai daerah melalui studi literatur. Penelitian ini mencakup 16 jurnal yang diterbitkan dalam 10 tahun terakhir. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kematangan gonad dan indeks kematangan gonad ikan gabus (Channa striata) dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor lingkungan dan biologis. Terdapat variasi signifikan dalam kematangan gonad ikan gabus yang berkaitan erat dengan habitat dan kualitas perairan. Indeks kematangan gonad dipengaruhi oleh musim pemijahan dan ketersediaan makanan, menunjukkan bahwa pola pemijahan ikan gabus bisa bersifat parsial atau total spawner. Sebagian besar daerah penelitian menunjukkan pola pemijahan partial spawner, yang ditandai dengan distribusi diameter telur yang memiliki lebih dari satu modus, menandakan pemijahan bertahap. Namun, pola pemijahan total spawner ditemukan di beberapa lokasi, dipengaruhi oleh perbedaan waktu penangkapan dan musim. Variasi ukuran pertama kali matang gonad di berbagai lokasi disebabkan oleh perbedaan dalam habitat, musim pemijahan, jenis kelamin, ketersediaan makanan, dan kualitas perairan. Selain itu, variasi fekunditas ikan gabus dapat dipengaruhi oleh ukuran ikan, kondisi lingkungan, dan faktor genetik.

Abstract

Favoured by Indonesian citizens, Cyprinus carpio production decreased over time due to diseases caused by Aeromonas hydrophila in the aquaculture process.  Antibiotics are often used to manage the disease on media, but they could cause resistance to the bacteria.  Herbs were used as the alternative for these antibiotics.  This experiment aimed to find the effect of Anredera cardifolia extract on the kidney histopathology of C. carpio infected by A. hydrophila.  The dosage used in this experiment was 200ppm, 400ppm, and 600ppm for each treatment with three repetitions.  There was also negative and positive control.  The bacteria density used for the positive control was 107 cells/ml.  After infection, kidney tissue was taken three days post-recovery.  Descriptive analysis was used to analyse the kidney histopathology, while to determine the level of the damage carried out by the bacteria, we used the scoring level.  This research showed that treating A. cordifolia affects the kidney histopathology of C. carpio infected by Aeromonas.  The damaged tissue found was necrosis, edema, and congestion.  The best dose used to improve the damaged kidney tissue on C. carpio was treatment B (400ppm), indicated by the scoring results for minor damage; the structure showed the tissue figure looked similar to the normal tissue.
