Abstract

Digital da'wah is not merely a response to technological advancements but also an adaptive prophetic communication strategy in addressing contemporary challenges. This study aims to understand the concept of digital da'wah, the prophetic communication strategies embedded within it, and its relevance in facing the challenges of the modern era. The research employs a literature review methodology. The findings indicate that through information and communication technology, digital da'wah enables the broader, more relevant, and interactive dissemination of Islamic teachings. By emphasizing authenticity, credibility, context, engagement, creativity, and relevance to contemporary settings, digital da'wah can serve as an effective medium for spreading messages of inclusivity, tolerance, and rahmatan lil ‘alamin (a mercy to all creation). The implications of this study highlight digital da'wah as a means for da'wah practitioners to overcome contemporary challenges, expand the reach of da'wah, and contribute positively to strengthening religious understanding and Islamic values in the digital era.

Abstract

The aquaculture areas of Berau Regency are traditionally managed through a polyculture system involving tiger shrimp (Penaeus monodon) and milkfish (Chanos chanos) in the Berau Delta. Aquaculture practitioners commonly apply insecticides and herbicide at the start of the rearing period or post-harvest to control weeds along pond embankments and surrounding areas. These practices have contributed to endosulfan accumulation in pond soils over time and affect aquaculture productivity. Assessing endosulfan levels in soil is critical and may inform level of level of accumulation of the harmfull sibstance overtime. This study aimed to inform soil characteristics across different pond age categories, hypothesizing that soil quality declines with increasing cultivation duration. The research was conducted within the operational aquaculture cycle, sampling soils from three ponds representing construction periods of 1990–2000, 2000–2010, and 2010–2020. Laboratory analysis revealed that pond soils in the Berau Delta did not contain detectable levels of endosulfan, with all samples showing concentrations below the limit of quantification (LoQ) of 0.040 mg/kg.

Abstract

Microplastics are small particles <5 mm in size that come from plastic waste. The large amount of plastic waste produced every day, most of which is thrown into the sea, means that the presence of microplastics continues to increase and is widespread almost throughout the sea surface, including Jeneponto Regency. This is very risky for contamination of feather shellfish which are often consumed by local people, so it is very dangerous for health. Therefore, it is necessary to identify microplastics in feather shellfish in Garassikang Village. Aim to determine the characteristics of microplastics in feather clams found on the coast of Garassikang Village, Jeneponto Regency in 2023. This type of quantitative research uses a descriptive approach with laboratory tests. The population is all edible shellfish obtained directly in the coastal waters of Garassikang Village, Jeneponto Regency, with a total sample of 15 feather shellfish obtained using a purposive sampling technique. The average abundance of microplastics in feather clams was 512.53 particles/kg with a microplastic size of 0.027 mm - 6,800 mm. There are 2 types of microplastics found, namely fibers and fragments, and there are 3 types of microplastic colors, namely blue, red and transparent. There are microplastics in shellfish found on the coast of Garassikang village. Of the 15 shellfish samples, 12 shellfish contained microplastics, this needs to be investigated in more depth regarding how dangerous exposure to microplastics is to human health using the FTIR test.

Abstract

Background: The service aims to reduce the incidence of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) through basic training of Jumantik cadres using simple educational materials (Ovitrap) in Bungoro District, Pankep Regency. Methods: The target of this service consisted of students of Pangkep Regency, Bungoro District, precisely at SDN 33 Jollo and SMPN 5 SATAP Bungoro. The sample of this study consisted of students aged between 9 and 15 years and totaled 26 students. Findings: The results of this service were 3 participants (11.5%) who experienced an increase in knowledge from pre-test to post-test. In 23 participants (88.5%), there was no increase or decrease in pre-test and post-test scores. Even if knowledge increases, according to the Wilcoxon test, the p-value of 0.083 is greater than 0.05 so it can be concluded that Ha is rejected and H0 is accepted. Conclusion: There is no significant difference in improvement, pre-test and post-test knowledge can be classified as good, depending on the ability of students to apply Ovitrap production in the classroom.

Abstract

This study is a form of review study related to the implementation of the use of educational technology, where this technology refers to changes and developments in society. These changes and developments make Indonesian culture also participate in these changes. Moreover, this technology refers to the overall prospect of development by describing certain parts. Like, the field of education that allocates the use of this technology as one type of field that is influenced in addition to economic, cultural or other industrial elements. Especially at the time of the ongoing pandemic like today, which asks the community to be more vigilant and even the government ordered to carry out a distance guarding process. This then gets one element of support from the ministry of education to use technology as an intermediary. Therefore, the main purpose of this study is to find out the form of influence given from the use of educational technology and literacy media in pandemic situations as well as the factors that cause this development. The method used in this study is a form of literature study method by applying elements of qualitative methods from various journals. The results of the study show some of the major influences that occur due to globalization on human resources which refer to several results, namely; (1) Government Regulation as one of the main factors in the development of this element; (2) The efficient use of educational technology in learning so that students are more familiar with audio and visual-based learning. Not just face-to-face as usual which does not provide appropriate methods in other ways that can increase students' knowledge.

Abstract

The people of Bilah Hilir District have a tradition called Asokan. Asokan is assistance in the form of basic materials or money to ease the burden on the householder. Even though this tradition has been implemented by the people of Bilah Hilir District for a long time, there are still a number of people who object to this Asokan Tradition because they are required to return the Asokan at least equivalent to the amount given. Thus this Asokan is not really a gift but rather a debt that must be paid in time. The aim of this research is to determine the impact of Asokan on the economic resilience of families in the Bilah Hilir District Community. The problem of this research can be formulated as follows: how does Asokan occur in Bilah Hilir District, what is the influence of Asokan on family economic security, and what is the law on Asokan in Bilah Hilir District according to Islamic Sharia. Primary data was obtained from interviews and distributing questionnaires. Secondary data obtained from literature studies related to research problems. The Askan tradition has an influence on the economic resilience of families in the Bilah Hilir sub-district community which has a relatively low economic level.
