Abstract

Professional educators need to have skills in designing innovative learning and adapting it to the characteristics of students and developments in the 21st century. However, the reality in the field is that many educators are not yet technologically literate and do not use digital media in their learning. Therefore, prospective elementary school teachers need to be given creative thinking skills in designing digital comic learning media. This research uses descriptive quantitative which aims to analyze student creativity in making digital comics after implementing the project based learning model. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation in the form of photos and videos. The subjects of this research were fifth semester students of the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program for the 2023/2024 academic year. The dimensions of creativity in this research are fluency of thinking, flexibility of thinking, elaboration and originality. The data in this research was analyzed descriptively with the results of the implementation of learning taking place effectively and conducively and student creativity in making digital comics was in the good category at 79.5%. Thus, the project based learning model is able to make PGSD students think creatively in designing and making digital comic media in learning to improve students' reading comprehension skills. Abstract

This research is motivated by the problems determined in class IV at SDN 017 Sekejati Bandung City, namely the low skills of students in writing narrative essays. The type of research is a quantitative approach with a type of pseudo-experimental research or quasi experiment with a nonequivalent control group design. The research population used all fourth grade students of SDN 017 Sekejati, and the samples were class IVA as the experimental class and class IVB as the control class. The instrument used is in the form of test data on students' narrative essay writing skills. The results showed that the effect size test value of the post-test data was 0.6 with a large category. Thus, it is concluded that there is a great influence of the Concept Sentence type cooperative learning model assisted by Pop-Up Book media on students' narrative essay writing skills in elementary schools. Abstract

Background: Kampung seni dan budaya Jelekong di Kabupaten Bandung dikenal dengan kekayaan seni seperti wayang golek, seni lukis, tari, dan pencak silat. Masyarakat setempat yang mayoritas pengrajin lukisan dan wayang menghadapi tantangan dalam mempromosikan hasil karyanya di era digital. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi digital melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan penggunaan website dan media sosial untuk memperkenalkan seni dan budaya Jelekong secara lebih luas. Metode: Mitra kegiatan adalah Karang Taruna Kelurahan Jelekong dengan 20 peserta. Metode yang digunakan meliputi ceramah, presentasi, diskusi dan tanya jawab, praktik langsung di lapangan dan pendampingan. Data dikumpulkan melalui pretest dan posttest yang terdiri dari 30 soal pilihan ganda mengenai website dan media sosial yang disajikan pada google form. Hasil: peningkatan kemampuan peserta dalam mengelola website dan media sosial sebagai sarana promosi seni budaya. Peningkatan kemampuan tersebut dapat dilihat dari hasil pretes dan postes. Rata-rata pretes yaitu 30 dan rata-rata postes yaitu 82, peningkatan (n-gain) yaitu 0,75 termasuk dalam peningkatan kategori tinggi. Kesimpulan: Pelatihan ini berhasil meningkatkan keterampilan digital masyarakat Jelekong dalam mempromosikan seni dan budaya lokal secara efektif dengan menggunakan website dan media sosial.

Abstract

The problem in this research is the low ability of students in writing arguments. Therefore, efforts are needed to resolve this problem. This research aims to determine the improvement in students' argumentative writing skills using the Problem Based Learning model. The research method uses Classroom Action Research in the form of qualitative descriptive with the data obtained in the form of test and non-test results in the form of observations and interviews. The subjects of this research were 29 students of the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program, semester 1 of the 2023/2024 academic year. Based on research data, it was found that there was an increase in the assessment of learning implementation and an increase in students' ability to write arguments in each cycle using the Problem Based Learning learning model.

Abstract

Students are interested in learning if the learning process is fun are interested and enjoyable. In this Gen Z era, using games in learning is an effective way to attract attention and increase students' enthusiasm for learning. The purpose of this study was to examine the responses of PGSD students regarding the use of gamification in the Elementary School Indonesian Language Learning Innovation course in semester V. This research method is descriptive qualitative with triangulation data analysis techniques. Data collection was obtained from questionnaires, interviews, and observations. The results of the study showed that the use of gamification in the Elementary School Indonesian Language Learning Innovation course had a positive impact, and was able to create active, enjoyable learning, and motivated students. In addition, the gamification feature helps students understand the material better, facilitates access to the material, is fun, enjoyable, and challenging, increases enthusiasm, and interest in learning and learning outcomes, encourages them to create and use gamification, and recommends the use of gamification in Indonesian language learning in elementary school. Thus, this study can contribute to the development of more interesting and innovative learning.

Abstract

The family is a place where individuals grow, develop, and learn the value that shape their personality. Children need guidance and direction from their parents as a foundation for fhe formation of their mental, thought, and behavioral patterns, which will remain with them throughout their lives. However, not all children grow up in ideal families. One form of family incompleteness is fatherlessness, a condution where a child loses a fther figur, either physically or emotioally. This can impact a child's psychological, social and academic aspects. This community service activity aims to provide education about the importance of a father;s role in a child's life through a workshop involving 20 partivipants. The methods used included material delivery, discuccions, educational games, parenting skill training, and experience-sharing sessions. Data were collected throught pre-tests and pos-tests. The result showed that the pre-test scores ranged from a minimum of 40,00 to a maximum of 72,00, with an average of 57,90. At the same time, the post-test score increased with a minimum score of 70,00 and maximum of 95.00, with an average of 83,10. The n-gain analysis showed an average index of 0,62, equivalent to 61,92%, which is in the moderate category. This finding indicate that the workshop signifivantly contributed to increasing participant's understanding of the issue of fatherlessness and teh urgency of father's roles in child development.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low critical reading skills of students at SDN 037 Sabang and the limited innovation in the learning process. The research aimed to examine the effect of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model assisted by digital flipbook media on students’ critical reading skills. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and nonequivalent control group design was applied. The sample consisted of 54 fourth-grade students selected through purposive sampling, with class IV C as the experimental group and class IV D as the control group. The learning process was carried out smoothly and effectively. During the planning stage, the researcher prepared instructional modules and critical reading assessment instruments. Throughout the learning activities, the classroom environment remained conducive, and students actively participated and responded well to the material. After implementing the CIRC model with digital flipbook assistance, the experimental class demonstrated improved critical reading skills. The average score increased from 50.33 (pretest) to 86.48 (posttest), while the control class improved from 48.41 to 76.89. The t-test showed a significance value of 0.046 (< 0.05), indicating a significant difference between the two classes. The experimental class also achieved an N-Gain score of 79.60 (high category) and an effect size of 1.90 (large category). These findings suggest that the CIRC model, when supported by digital flipbook media, has a significant and positive impact on enhancing students’ critical reading abilities, making it an effective strategy to foster deeper reading comprehension and analytical thinking in elementary education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini didasari oleh isu yang dijumpai di kelas IV SDN Cibeureum 01, yakni rendahnya keahlian siswa dalam menulis puisi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini guna menumbuhkan keterampilan menulis puisi siswa kelas IV dengan mengaplikasikan model pembelajaran RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, and Create) yang didukung oleh media padlet. Metode penelitian yang dimanfaatkan ialah pendekatan kuantitatif berdesain eksperimen semu (quasi-experiment) serta tipe desain kelompok kontrol yang tidak setara (nonequivalent control group design). Populasi penelitian terdiri dari semua siswa kelas IV di SDN Cibeureum 01, disamping itu, sampel yang dipilih yakni kelas IV-A sebagai grup eksperimen serta kelas IV-B sebagai grup kontrol. Prosedur pengambilan sampel yang dipakai yakni purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui hasil pretest, posttest, dan lembar observasi, lalu dianalisis memakai uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji hipotesis, uji N-Gain, dan uji effect size. Perolehan penelitian membuktikan bahwasanya model pembelajaran RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, and Create) menciptakan sebuah ketidaksamaan pada keahlian menulis puisi dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Pada kelas IV-A, skor rerata pretest yakni 58,33 serta skor rerata posttest yakni 78,57. Sebaliknya, di kelas IV-B, skor rerata pretest yakni 52,14 serta skor rerata posttest yakni 60,71. Kemudian, perolehan penelitian membutikkan bahwasanya model RADEC memberikan pertumbuhan kapabilitas menulis puisi yang signifikan, dengan nilai N-Gain pada kelas IV-A sebanyak 76,89 yang diklasifikasikan tinggi, sementara kelas IV-B hanya 0,16 yang diklasifikasikan rendah. Selain itu, model RADEC membuktikan dampak yang besar dengan nilai effect size sebanyak 1,28, yang termasuk pada klasifikasi tinggi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan quasi eksperimen. Peneliti mendapati permasalahan mengenai keterampilan berbicara yang masih 23% dari KKM, peserta didik lebih pasif, kurang percaya diri, dan ragu ketika berbicara, guru belum melakukan eksplor lebih terhadap upaya peningkatan keterampilan berbicara. Maka dari itu, maksud dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh model kooperatif tipe talking stick terhadap keterampilan berbicara. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu peserta didik kelas V SDN 057 Bina Harapan. Pengambilan sampel dengan purposive sampling pada dua kelas yaitu V-B 28 orang dan V-C 28 seluruhnya berjumlah 56 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata keterampilan berbicara sebelum dilakukan perlakuan (pretest) yaitu 51,14 pada kelas eksperimen (V-C) dan 48,82 pada kelas kontrol (V-B). Sedangkan hasil setelah diberikan perlakuan (posttest) yaitu 86,29 pada kelas eksperimen dan 71,21 pada kelas kontrol. Dengan demikian, dari hasil uji effect size telah membuktikan adanya pengaruh model kooperatif tipe talking stick terhadap keterampilan berbicara sebesar 1,75 dan dapat dikategorikan pengaruh yang “tinggi” berdasarkan interpretasi kriteria effect size tersebut.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan membaca permulaan peserta didik kelas II SDN 042 Gambir. Hal ini dikarenakan pembelajaran lebih sering berpusat pada guru dan penyebab lainnya juga berasal dari dalam diri peserta didik (internal) maupun dari lingkungan sekitar (eksternal). Faktor internal meliputi kurangnya minat dan motivasi membaca, kurangnya perhatian dan fokus, serta kesulitan dalam membedakan huruf dan merangkai suku kata. Sementara faktor eksternal bisa berupa kurangnya bimbingan dan dukungan dari orang tua, lingkungan keluarga yang kurang mendukung kegiatan membaca, dan metode pembelajaran yang kurang tepat. Peneliti memfokuskan penelitian mengenai penggunaan model SAS (Struktural Analitik Sintetik) untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruhnya terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan peserta didik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperiment. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu melalui tes, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Pengambilan sampel dengan teknik purposive sampling sebanyak 54 dari jumlah dua kelas, yaitu kelas II-B sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas II-A sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa rata-rata kemampuan membaca permulaan sebelum dilakukan perlakuan (pretest) yaitu 49,66 pada kelas eksperimen (II-B) dan 44,18 pada kelas kontrol (II-A). Sedangkan hasil rata-rata kemampuan membaca permulaan setelah diberi perlakuan (postest) yaitu 87,77 pada kelas eksperimen dan 44,18 yang menggunakan metode SAS dengan berbantuan media kartu flashcard dan 75,48 pada kelas kontrol yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Dengan demikian, dari hasil uji effect size dapat diketahui bahwa terdapat pengaruh metode SAS dengan berbantuan media kartu flashcard terhadap peserta didik kelas II di SDN 042 Gambir sebesar 4,45 dan dapat dikategorikan sebagai pengaruh yang “tinggi” dibandingan dengan kelas kontrol dengan pembelajaran konvensional.
