Abstract

The digital transformation of technical education in developing countries is hampered by infrastructure limitations, access gaps, and the low effectiveness of e-learning, especially in virtual laboratories.This study aims to analyze and map global research trends on e-learning implementation in engineering education using bibliometric methods to provide comprehensive insights into its development and policy implications. A total of 288 articles published between 2013 and 2023 were collected from the Scopus database and analyzed through a quantitative bibliometric approach. The data were processed using VOSviewer software to visualize publication trends, keyword co-occurrence networks, and thematic research clusters. The results reveal a significant increase in publications and citations over the past decade, notably accelerated during the COVID-19 pandemic. The co-occurrence analysis identified four dominant research themes: learning effectiveness, educational digitalization, adaptive technologies, and digital transformation in engineering education. Notably, the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Virtual/Augmented Reality (VR/AR) technologies has enhanced student engagement, virtual practicums, and teaching effectiveness. However, substantial geographical disparities and infrastructure gaps remain major barriers in many regions. These findings emphasize the need for comprehensive education policies that include strengthening digital infrastructure, improving teaching quality, learning management, and equal access. Recommendations include international collaboration and adaptive strategies to realize effective and sustainable technical e-learning.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to identify effective strategies for enhancing teacher innovation in the context of 21st-century learning by examining the mediating influence of technological literacy and the direct impact of reading culture. Employing a mixed-methods approach that integrates quantitative and qualitative techniques with path analysis, the research was conducted from April to August 2023 in Depok City, Indonesia, involving 231 elementary school teachers selected through proportional random sampling from a total population of 1,740 teachers. The findings reveal that a strong reading culture significantly contributes to fostering teacher innovation (path coefficient = 0.316), while technological literacy also exerts a positive direct effect on innovation (path coefficient = 0.084). Additionally, reading culture positively influences technological literacy (path coefficient = 0.750), indicating that literacy development enhances teachers’ capacity to integrate technology effectively into their pedagogical practices. The study concludes that building a robust reading culture and improving technological literacy are key drivers for cultivating innovative teaching behaviors aligned with the demands of 21st-century education, where creativity, adaptability, and digital competence are critical for professional growth and instructional transformation.

Abstract

Saat ini, close circuit television (CCTV) banyak diaplikasikan di berbagai bangunan baik di perkantoran, pertokoan maupun perumahan. Hal ini terjadi karena di daerah perkotaan rentan terjadi kasus pencurian maupun tindakan kekerasan. Kelurahan Medan Tenggara merupakan salah satu kelurahan yang terletak di Kecamatan Medan Denai Kota Medan. Berdasarkan laporan dari pihak Kelurahan Medan Tenggara kepada Tim Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) Politeknik Penerbangan Medan (Poltekbang Medan), masyarakat sering mengalami pencurian baik sepeda motor, uang dan barang berharga lainnya. Berdasarkan masalah tersebut, Tim PKM Poltekbang Medan tertarik melakukan pelatihan instalasi CCTV berbasis internet of things (IoT) untuk masyarakat di kelurahan tersebut. Hal ini juga didukung oleh hasil survei di lapangan bahwa masyarakat belum mampu menginstal CCTV berbasis IoT secara mandiri. Dan masih keberatan untuk menggunakan jasa instalasi CCTV berbasis IoT. Instalasi CCTV berbasis IoT diperlukan agar area yang diawasi dapat diakses melalui ponsel pintar secara real-time. Tahapan sosialisasi ini diawali dengan penjelasan teori terkait CCTV berbasis IoT dan prosedur instalasinya. Selanjutnya, dilakukan praktik instalasi CCTV berbasis IoT secara langsung oleh peserta. Dan tahapan terakhir adalah evaluasi pemahaman peserta melalui pra-test dan post-test. Setelah pelatihan ini dilakukan diharapkan masyarakat mampu menginstal CCTV secara mandiri sehingga dapat mengantisipasi resiko pencurian lebih lanjut. Dan juga diharapkan juga dapat menjadi sumber penghasilan tambahan sebagai usaha jasa instal CCTV berbasis IoT.

Abstract

Ground Station (GS) Receiver Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast (ADS-B) merupakan elemen kunci dalam sistem pemantauan lalu lintas udara modern. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi gangguan operasional pada peralatan GS Receiver ADS-B di MATAK, yang mengalami kesulitan dalam mendeteksi sejumlah target. Metode penelitian mencakup analisis terhadap komponen peralatan, penggantian modul yang rusak, serta uji coba untuk memastikan peralatan berfungsi normal kembali. Hasil analisis mengindikasikan bahwa gangguan terjadi pada proses amplifikasi sinyal di bagian Airborne Acquisition Unit (AAU), khususnya pada modul Low Noise Amplifier (LNA). Dengan mengganti modul LNA dan melakukan penyesuaian komponen, uji coba menunjukkan bahwa peralatan GS Receiver ADS-B di MATAK kembali berfungsi optimal dan mampu mendeteksi target dengan jarak yang memadai. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya respons cepat dalam menangani gangguan operasional pada fasilitas penerbangan guna menjaga keselamatan penerbangan.

Abstract

Digitalisasi layanan tiket penyeberangan menjadi instrumen penting dalam peningkatan efisiensi operasional dan kualitas pelayanan transportasi laut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi implementasi sistem tiket digital di Pelabuhan Merak serta menganalisis pengaruhnya terhadap kecepatan pelayanan, kepuasan pengguna, dan efektivitas operasional. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan melibatkan 210 responden pengguna jasa penyeberangan Merak–Bakauheni. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner berskala Likert dan observasi waktu antrean, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji validitas dan reliabilitas, analisis faktor eksploratori, korelasi Pearson, serta regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan tiket digital secara nyata mampu mempercepat proses pelayanan, mengurangi waktu antrean, serta meningkatkan akurasi data manifest dan transparansi layanan. Variabel kemudahan penggunaan, keandalan sistem, dan kecepatan layanan terbukti berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan pengguna, dengan kecepatan layanan sebagai faktor dominan. Meskipun demikian, keterbatasan infrastruktur jaringan dan variasi tingkat literasi digital pengguna masih menjadi tantangan dalam implementasi layanan digital secara optimal. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi praktis bagi pengelola pelabuhan dan pemangku kebijakan dalam merumuskan strategi penguatan layanan digital penyeberangan yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan. The digitalization of ferry ticketing services has become a critical mechanism for improving operational efficiency and service quality in maritime transportation. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of a digital ticketing system at Merak Port and examine its effects on service speed, user satisfaction, and operational effectiveness. A quantitative approach was employed by involving 210 ferry passengers on the Merak–Bakauheni route. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and queue-time observations, and analyzed using validity and reliability tests, exploratory factor analysis, Pearson correlation, and multiple linear regression. The findings indicate that digital ticketing significantly enhances service efficiency by reducing queue times, improving manifest data accuracy, and increasing service transparency. Ease of use, system reliability, and service speed were found to have a significant influence on user satisfaction, with service speed emerging as the most dominant factor. However, limitations related to network infrastructure and varying levels of digital literacy among users remain key challenges. This study provides practical insights for port operators and policymakers in developing inclusive and sustainable digital ferry service strategies.
