Abstract

Trees play an important role in carbon sequestration and the global carbon cycle thereby helping to mitigate climate change. The carbon dioxide cycle maintains the natural balance of atmospheric concentrations. The creation of too many greenhouse gases causes an imbalance with heat trapped in the Earth's atmosphere, increasing the overall average temperature resulting in global warming. Planting red shoots is the reason it is planted because in addition to functioning as a hedge, it also has a fresh fragrance. And can be used for food coloring from the color of the leaves it has. So that people don't just get the benefits of fresh air. This is in line with the government's request that the Indonesian people plant 25 trees as long as they live. Considering that Indonesia is the largest oxygen contributor in the world, good quality oxygen is needed for the survival of living things on this earth. Indonesia also has the most forests, making it the lungs of the world.

Abstract

With children's interest in reading still low, the government launched the School Literacy Movement (GLS). This program is expected to foster interest in reading in students as well as to build a literacy climate in schools. However, not all schools have been able to implement GLS in accordance with the guidelines provided. The problems include inadequate facilities and infrastructure, limited reading materials, limited reading time. The purpose of this community service is to develop reading literacy in students at UPT Elementary School in launching GLS through books and reading trees provided by the PKM team to each partner school. Activities in assisting the making of this class reading corner are carried out by the team and class teachers at the State Elementary School, starting from preparing the class that will later be made a class reading corner, the materials needed in making the reading corner, the books to be donated, and the teacher's role in mentoring later. The team will also donate basic education level books and folklore books to fulfill the bookshelves that will be made in the reading corner later. The end result of this activity is expected that the reading corner that has been made will be emulated by teachers in other classes and the donated books will be useful for teachers and students and schools.

Abstract

Regular handwashing is the first 5M health protocol and is effective in preventing the transmission of viruses and diseases. However, mobility and activities cause many to neglect to always have soap on hand when travelling. For this reason, a simple innovation for the use of soap is needed, namely by using paper soap. Paper soap is much more practical in its use and easy to carry anywhere. Based on the survey of the service team, several problems were found, such as students who were often absent from school due to illness, students' low understanding of hand washing with soap, and students' lack of knowledge in making paper soap. The purpose of this community service is to improve students' knowledge and skills in applying the six steps of handwashing with soap and to improve students' skills in making paper soap with natural ingredients. This community service was carried out by providing counselling on the importance of hand washing, assistance in making paper soap from natural ingredients to students. The results obtained from this service are an increase in knowledge and creativity of students who initially did not know how to make paper soap to know, and increased student understanding of the steps of good and correct hand washing.

Abstract

This research aims to: 1) describe the vocabulary mastery of class IV students at SD Negeri 106812 Bandar Klippa; 2) describe the ability to write narrative essays in fourth grade students at SD Negeri 106812 Bandar Klippa; and 3) examine the relationship between vocabulary mastery and the ability to write narrative essays in class IV students at SD Negeri 106812 Bandar Klippa. This type of research is correlation research. The sample for this research was 56 grade IV students at SD Negeri 106812 Bandar Klippa. The sample in this study used a proportional random sampling technique. Data collection techniques use tests and documentation. Data analysis uses product moment correlation. Based on the research results, it is known that: 1) students' overall vocabulary mastery obtained an average score of 62.2 in the quite good category; 2) students' overall ability to write narrative essays obtained an average score of 64.2 in the quite good category; and 3) there is a relationship between vocabulary mastery and the ability to write narrative essays in fourth grade students at SD Negeri 106812 Bandar Klippa of 0.920 with a very strong correlation category (rcount= 0.920 at the real level α= 0.05 with N= 56, rtable= 0.259 , and rh>rt). Based on the research data, it can be concluded that there is a positive relationship between vocabulary mastery and the ability to write narrative essays in class IV students at SD Negeri 106812 Bandar Klippa. This shows that the vocabulary mastery variable can be a good predictor of the ability to write narrative essays. So this research indicates that teachers who teach Indonesian language lessons must be able to improve vocabulary mastery to improve the ability to write narrative essays.

Abstract

This research was carried out in class V of Islamiyah Private Elementary School with the aim of finding out the influence of the Small Group Learning Model on the Learning Creativity of Class V of Islamiyah Elementary School Students for the 2022-2023 Academic Year. The samples taken in this research were Class V of the Islamiyah Private Elementary School, Class V A as the Control Class and Class V B as the Experimental Class. Test results regarding the influence of the Small Group Learning Model (X) and Student Learning Creativity (Y) in class V of Islamiyah Private Elementary School for the 2022/2023 Academic Year. The influence of using the Small Group Learning Model has been proven from the results of research conducted on Class V students of Islamiyah Elementary School. The 2022/2023 academic year provides positive results. The results showed that the Small Group Learning Model was in the good category, and this result was also followed by student learning creativity being included in the good category with an average score for the experimental class of 82.2. It is known that by calculating the variable X, the average value is 82.2 and the standard deviation is 9.06. And variable Y obtained an average value of 51.67 and a standard deviation of 7.81. From the calculation of the hypothesis price th = 0.06, the significance of the hypothesis coefficient is consulted with the calculated t value table. The t table value with N = 60 at the 5% significance level = 0.245. This turns out to be 0.245 >. 0.06 This proves that the hypothesis is accepted. From the results of hypothesis testing using the product moment correlation formula, it is found that tcount > ttable so that Ha is accepted, Ho is rejected. So there is an influence on student learning creativity using the Small Group Learning Model.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the character values found in the fables of the book "Bahasa Indonesia untuk SD dan MI Kelas III" at SDN 100311 Palsabolas. The research employed a descriptive method with a case study design, involving an analysis of the book and interviews with the third-grade homeroom teacher as data sources. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and document analysis. The findings revealed various character values in the fables, such as religiosity (5.56%), honesty (5.56%), hard work (16.67%), independence (5.56%), curiosity (16.67%), appreciation of achievements (11.11%), and responsibility (5.56%). The fable "Keong Emas" contains six character values, making it the story with the most character values, while "Pak Belalang" and "Batu Menangis" each contain three character values. Overall, 12 character values were identified, providing a foundation for character education for students. This study suggests that teachers and parents use fables as an alternative medium for teaching character values, students select positive values to apply in their daily lives, and textbook authors incorporate additional character values that are not yet included to enrich the educational content in fables.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh seleksi penerimaan peserta didik baru berdasarkan kemampuan membaca huruf Hijaiyah, Iqra, dan Al-Qur’an terhadap kualitas belajar siswa kelas I di YP MIS Al-Washliyah Kutalimbaru tahun ajaran 2025/2026. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis regresi linear sederhana, di mana instrumen penelitian berupa angket yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seleksi berbasis kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kualitas belajar siswa. Nilai koefisien korelasi ® sebesar 0,614 menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang cukup kuat dan positif antara kedua variabel, sedangkan koefisien determinasi (R Square) sebesar 0,377 menjelaskan bahwa 37,7% variasi kualitas belajar siswa dipengaruhi oleh kemampuan membaca huruf Hijaiyah, Iqra, dan Al-Qur’an, sementara 62,3% dipengaruhi faktor lain seperti motivasi belajar, peran orang tua, metode mengajar guru, dan lingkungan sekolah. Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of kangaroo pouch media usage on mathematics learning outcomes in second-grade students of SDN 105345 Sidodadi Ramunia in the academic year 2023/2024. The subject matter is place value. This research is motivated by the mathematics learning outcomes of students that are still below the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM).This study is a True Experimental Type Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. It involves two groups: the experimental group, which receives treatment using kangaroo pouch media, and the control group, which undergoes lecture-based learning. The variables in this research consist of the independent variable, which is the kangaroo pouch media, and the dependent variable, which is the mathematics learning outcomes regarding the subject matter of place value. This is a population study with a population size of 36 students. The sample consists of 18 students, which form the experimental group. The instrument used in this study is a test questionnaire. Data analysis technique employed in this research is the t-test.The results of this study indicate that there is an influence of kangaroo pouch media usage on mathematics learning outcomes regarding the subject matter of place value in second-grade students of SDN 105345 Sidodadi Ramunia. This is evidenced by the t-test calculation results, which show a difference between the post-test scores of the experimental group and the control group. Based on the paired sample t-test calculation results, the significance value (2-tailed) is 0.001. In line with the hypothesis decision-making criterion that the significance value (2-tailed) < 0.05 or 0.001 < 0.05, it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted because there is a significant difference between pretest and post-test results. Thus, the usage of kangaroo pouch media significantly influences the mathematics learning outcomes regarding the subject matter of place value for second-grade students of SDN 105345 Sidodadi Ramunia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media animasi terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi pernapasan manusia di kelas V SD Negeri 105383 Petumbukan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian Pra-Eksperimen bentuk One Group Pretest Posttest Design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V sebanyak 21 siswa. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini memberikan pretest dan posttest berupa soal pilihan berganda sebanyak 10 butir. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah data hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan tes hasil belajar dan data aktivitas siswa dengan menggunakan lembar observasi aktivitas belajar siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa dengan nilai rata-rata pretest 49,52, rata-rata posttest 79,04. Uji Normalitas memiliki taraf signifikansi sebesar 0,126 > 0,05. Uji homogenitas memiliki taraf signifikansi sebesar 0,157 > 0,05. Hasil analisis statistik deskriptif dan hasil analisis statistik inferensial yang diperoleh serta hasil observasi yang telah dilakukan, diperoleh nilai thitung sebesar 20,22 dan ttabel sebesar 1,725 dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Abstract

Tri Dharma of Higher Education is a concept that serves as a guideline for higher education institutions in carrying out their duties and functions. This concept consists of three pillars, namely: Education and teaching, Research and Community Service. Community service activities for lecturers are an effort to carry out one of the tasks of Tri Dharma of Higher Education. Community service carried out in this activity is regarding the Socialization of Environmental Care Education for Elementary School Students 105337 Pantai Labu Pekan located in Pantai Labu Pekan Village, Deli Serdang Regency. This activity aims to carry out the Tri Dharma of Higher Education activities for lecturers in order to contribute knowledge of social skills with sub-education to the community. The service carried out by several lecturers and students of the Nahdlatul Ulama University of North Sumatra (UNUSU) provides knowledge for the community in Pantai Labu Village so that they have an understanding of the importance of caring for the environment. It is hoped that students and the community in Pantai Labu Pekan Village understand the importance of environmental education. The expected output targets from this activity are: to provide knowledge to the community of Pantai Labu Pekan Village about the importance of environmental education
