Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of perceptions about assignments and work motivation on the performance of Guidance and Counseling teachers. This research was conducted on all Guidance and Counseling teachers who served in Junior High Schools and Senior High Schools who became the Guidance and Counseling apprenticeship partner schools of the Guidance and Counseling Department at Education Faculty of Catholic University of Widya Mandira Kupaang, totaling 30 people. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire using a Likert scale model with correlation and regression data analysis. The results of the study showed that there was a significant influence of the perception variable about assignments on the performance of the Guidance and Counseling teachers, there was a significant influence of the work motivation variable on the performance of the Guidance and Counseling teachers, and there was a significant influence of the perception of the task and work motivation on the performance of the Guidance and Counseling teachers.

Abstract

Kegiatan Amancalistung (Adikku mantap membaca, menulis dan berhitung) merupakan salah satu bentuk program bimbingan belajar yang dilaksanakan oleh Tim KKN-PPM Universitas Katolik Widya Mandira Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan sebagai salah satu respon yang diambil untuk menyikapi salah satu dampak yang disebabkan oleh adanya pandemi Covid-19 pada dunia pendidikan tahun 2020 lalu. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah memberikan pendampingan/bimbingan belajar bagi setiap siswa-siswi SD sebagai upaya dalam membantu siswa mengejar ketertinggalan materi dan peningkatan motivasi belajar. Bentuk kegiatan yang dilaksanakan berupa bimbingan belajar dengan target peserta siswa Sekolah Dasar yang berada pada jenjang kelas 1, 2 dan 3. Kegiatan bimbingan belajar dilaksanakan di kantor Kelurahan Sasi dan SD Negeri Sasi selama kurang lebih satu bulan. Materi yang diberikan berupa materi membaca, menulis dan berhitung. evaluasi terhadap kegiatan Amancalistung dilakukan dengan mengadakan perlombaan Gebyar Amancalistung. Hasil dari kegiatan berupa adanya peningkatan kemampuan membaca, menulis dan berhitung dari peserta. selain itu juga terlihat antusias siswa dalam mengikuti setiap proses bimbingan belajar.

Abstract

The focus of this research is to see whether there is a relationship between self-confidence and students' interpersonal communication. The aim of this research is to determine the significant relationship between self-confidence and interpersonal communication of class VIIIC students at Sancta Familia Kupang Catholic Middle School in the 2023/2024 academic year. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research. The variables in this research are the independent variable (X) self-confidence and the dependent variable (Y) interpersonal communication. The population is all students in class VIIIC of Sancta Familia Kupang Catholic Middle School for the 2023/2024 academic year. The sample in this research consisted of 23 students. The data collection tool used was a self-confidence questionnaire with interpersonal communication. The data analysis technique used is product moment correlation. The results of research data analysis show a Pearson Correlation value of 0.635 with a significance value obtained of 0.00 <0.05, including the strong category. The results of this research data analysis show that there is a significant relationship between self-confidence and interpersonal communication of class VIIIC students at Sancta Familia Kupang Catholic Middle School in the 2023/2024 academic year.

Abstract

Group discussion is a benchmark for the success of an activity that will be carried out or after the activity has been completed. The purpose of the discussion group is to encourage individual participation in the group and help the individual to investigate all opinions about the matters discussed in the activity. The service activities carried out focus on the role of discussion groups in KKN student activities. The discussions carried out resulted in various important points, including those relating to the readiness of the members, the readiness of the program and the readiness of the supporting elements of the activity. In addition, group discussions serve as a space to evaluate the progress of each activity carried out. So it can be concluded that group discussion activities are very influential on a group and efforts to achieve certain goals.

Abstract

The focus of this research is to see whether there is a relationship between learning motivation and learning achievement students. This study aimed to investigate the significant relationship between learning motivation and learning achievement of eight grade students at SMP Negeri 16 Kupang in the academic year of 2023/2024. This study belonged to quantitative descriptive method. The variables of this study were independent variable (X) learning motivation and dependent variable (Y) learning achievement. The population was all students in class A of eight graders at SMP Negeri 16 Kupang in the academic year of 2023/2024. 23 students were chosen as the sample of this research. The data collection technique used in this study was a questionnaire. The product moment correlation was used as the data analysis technique in this study. The results of data analysis showed a value of Pearson Correlation was 0.575 with a significance value obtained of 0.00 <0.05, including the strong category. The finding showed that there was a significant relationship between learning motivation and the learning achievement in class A of eight graders at SMP Negeri 16 Kupang in the academic year of 2023/2024.

Abstract

Independent Learning Independent Campus (MBKM Mandiri) activities are mandatory activities for every student of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Widya Mandira Catholic University, Kupang to gain new knowledge and gain factual experience from the place where the field activities are carried out. MBKM activities outside the classroom are carried out through community service. Community service is carried out through social service activities that take place at SMA Negeri 4 Kupang and Pantai Warna Oesapa, Kec. Kelapa Lima, East Nusa Tenggara Province. Social service activities aim to increase the participation of MBKM students and school residents, to be directly involved in social service, and to direct students to be able to create a clean, healthy, and comfortable environment. This community service uses a participatory method of implementation, where this method involves direct collaboration between KKN participants and school residents. The results of this study indicate that the social service activities carried out provide enormous benefits where the school and beach environments become more beautiful, neat, and well-maintained.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the character values contained in the Po'o ritual ceremony of the indigenous people of Kebirangga Tengah Village, Ende. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The character values in the Po'o ritual ceremony are applied in character education through the Integration of character values in the curriculum, Use of learning methods that facilitate cooperation and reflection, Development of extracurricular activities that facilitate cooperation and reflection. The subjects of the study were indigenous parents in Kebirangga Tengah Village. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and verification with interview and observation triangulation. The results of the study indicate that the Po'o ritual ceremony has meaning or character values, namely religious values, togetherness, unity, mutual cooperation, and deliberation. The values of the Po'o ritual ceremony can build a deep understanding of identity, norms, and morals for their lives and these character values can be a source of character education for the indigenous people of Kebirangga Tengah Village. This study is limited to the perspective of indigenous communication and has not implemented its application in the formal education curriculum. Further studies are needed to integrate these values into the education system.ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui nilai-nilai karakter yang terkandung dalam upacara ritual Po’o masyarakat adat desa Kebirangga Tengah, Ende. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Nilai karakter dalam upacara ritual Po'o diterapkan dalam pendidikan karakter melalui Pengintegrasian nilai-nilai karakter dalam kurikulum, Penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang memfasilitasi kerjasama dan refleksi, Pengembangan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler yang memfasilitasi kerjasama dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah para tua adat di Desa Kebirangga Tengah. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi dengan triangulasi wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa upacara ritual Po’o memiliki makna atau nilai-nilai karakter yaitu nilai religius, kebersamaan, persatuan, gotong royong, dan musyawarah. nilai-nilai upacara ritual po’o dapat membangun pemahaman mendalam tentang identitas, norma, dan moral untuk kehidupannya serta nilai-nilai karakter ini dapat menjadi sumber pendidikan karakter bagai masyarakat adat desa kebirangga tengah.  Penelitian ini terbatas pada perspektif komunikasi adat dan belum mengkaji penerapannya dalam kurukulum pendidikan formal. Studi lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk mengintegritaskan nilai-nilai ini ke dalam sistem pendidikan.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the effectiveness of the application of bibliotherapy techniques through group counseling to improve the ability to manage angry emotions of Class XI A students of Raimanuk State Senior High School in the 2024/2025 academic year. The method used in this study is quantitative descriptive with a pre-experimental research type (one group pretest-posttest design). The instruments used in this study were student anger management ability questionnaires as data collection instruments and intervention guidelines as treatment instruments. The data analysis technique used the t-test formula. The results of the analysis showed that the t_count value was 10.482 while the t_table value at a significance level of 5% was 2.015, thus the t_count value t_table value. This shows that the bibliotherapy technique through group counseling is effective in improving the ability to manage angry emotions of class XI A students of Raimanuk State Senior High School in the 2024/2025 academic year.ABSTRAKPenelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan teknik biblioterapy melalui konseling kelompok untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mengelola emosi marah  siswa Kelas XI A SMA Negeri Raimanuk tahun pelajaran 2024/2025. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan tipe penelitian pre-experimental (one group pretest-posttest design). Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket kemampuan mengelola marah siswa instrumen pengumpulan data dan pedoman intervensi sebagai instrument perlakuan. Teknik analisis data menggunakan rumus uji t. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa nilai  sebesar 10,482 sedangkan nilai  pada taraf signifikansi 5% sebesar 2,015 dengan demikian nilai nilai . Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa teknik biblioterapy melalui konseling kelompok efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mengelola emosi marah siswa kelas XI A SMA Negeri Raimanuk tahun pelajaran 2024/2025.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of academic stress on learning achievement of students in class VIII F SMP Negeri 16 Kupang in the 2024/2025 academic year. This type of research uses quantitative methods.  The population in this study were 30 students of class VIII F SMP Negeri 16 Kupang, and the sample size was 30 people using the Saturated Sampling technique. The data collection tool used was a questionnaire. The results showed that the value of t_count was greater than t_table (59.938 0.359) and a significance value of 0.000 0.05, so Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted, meaning that there was a significant effect of academic stress on the learning achievement of students in Class VIII F SMP Negeri 16 Kupang in the 2024/2025 academic year. Based on the results of the analysis and interpretation of the results of the research data analysis, the researcher can conclude that there is an effect of academic stress on students in class VIII F SMP Negeri 16 Kupang Year 2024/2025.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh stres akademik terhadap prestasi belajar siswa kelas VIII F SMP Negeri 16 Kupang Tahun Pelajaran 2024/2025. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif.  Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII F SMP Negeri 16 Kupang sebanyak 30 orang, dan jumlah sampel sebanyak 30 orang dengan menggunakan teknik Sampling Jenuh. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan berupa angket. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linier sederhana dan diolah menggunakan aplikasi SPSS for windows versi 26. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai  lebih besar dari (59,9380,359) dan nilai signifikansi 0,000 0,05 maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, artinya ada pengaruh yang signifikan stres akademik terhadap prestasi belajar siswa Kelas VIII F SMP Negeri 16 Kupang Tahun Pelajaran 2024/2025. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan interpretasi hasil analisis data penelitian, peneliti dapat menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh stres akademik terhadap siswa kelas VIII F SMP Negeri 16 Kupang Tahun Pelajaran 2024/2025.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of achievement motivation on academic achievement of grade XI C and D students at SMAK Sint Carolus Kupang in the 2024/2025 academic year. This study uses a quantitative approach. The independent variable in this study is achievement motivation (X), while the dependent variable is academic achievement (Y). The research population consists of 59 students in grade XI at SMAK Sint Carolus Kupang in the 2024/2025 academic year, with a sample of 24 students from grades XI C and D. Data collection methods include interviews, document analysis, and questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression analysis, processed with SPSS for Windows version 26. The analysis results indicate that the calculated value (3.476) exceeds the critical value (1.717), and the significance level is 0.002, which is less than 0.05. Based on these findings, the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted, indicating a significant influence of academic achievement motivation on the academic achievement of students in class XI C and D at SMAK Sint Carolus Kupang during the 2024/2025 academic year.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh motivasi prestasi terhadap prestasi akademik siswa kelas XI C dan D di SMAK Sint Carolus Kupang pada tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Variabel independen dalam penelitian ini adalah motivasi prestasi (X), sedangkan variabel dependen adalah prestasi akademik (Y). Populasi penelitian terdiri dari 59 siswa kelas XI di SMAK Sint Carolus Kupang pada tahun ajaran 2024/2025, dengan sampel sebanyak 24 siswa dari kelas XI C dan D. Metode pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara, analisis dokumen, dan kuesioner. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan analisis regresi linier sederhana, diproses dengan SPSS for Windows versi 26. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa nilai yang dihitung (3.476) melebihi nilai kritis (1.717), dan tingkat signifikansi adalah 0.002, yang lebih kecil dari 0.05. Berdasarkan temuan ini, hipotesis nol (Ho) ditolak, dan hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima, menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan antara motivasi prestasi terhadap prestasi akademik siswa kelas XI C dan D di SMAK Sint Carolus Kupang pada tahun ajaran 2024/2025.
