Abstract

The Teachmint application is an all in one learning application based in India and has started to develop everywhere, one of them is in Indonesia, as well as the languages used are also available in various languages including Indonesian. This application is quite complete in its use, namely there is a live video session facility that allows direct interaction between lecturers and students, there is a blackboard that is not limited to the number of pages as if students are studying offline and is immediately saved automatically both in pdf and video form recording. The drawbacks of this application can almost be said to be non-existent, apart from the need for a stable internet network and quota to be fulfilled like other video call applications so if all of these are not fulfilled then of course this application will not be optimal. This study discusses the views or opinions of students as users during mathematical logic lectures. Based on the results of questionnaires and interviews conducted, it was found that this application is good for online learning because it can store all lecture materials together so that they are not scattered and all are fully documented, both in the pdf version and the video version as a result of the automatic recording during the live session.

Abstract

This study investigates how AI chatbots can stimulate students' conceptual understanding and learning independence. AI chatbots as interactive tools to improve learning success have recently increased in education as AI technology develops rapidly. Chatbots powered by artificial intelligence can provide direct feedback to students, respond to their questions, and help them develop a deeper understanding of their ideas. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a quantitative methodology approach. One hundred high school students were selected as the research sample. This sample was then divided into two groups: the experimental and the control groups. The experimental group used AI chatbots as a tool in the learning process, while the control group learned without using the technology. The results showed that students in the experimental group experienced a significant increase in conceptual understanding compared to the control group. AI chatbots helped students clarify difficult-to-understand concepts, provide additional explanations, and present reflective questions that encourage critical thinking. In addition, chatbots also play a role in fostering learning independence because students become more accustomed to finding answers and solutions to their problems independently without relying entirely on teachers or peers. Furthermore, this study highlights how the use of AI chatbots not only improves academic outcomes but also contributes to building students' confidence in understanding learning materials. Thus, this study concludes that AI chatbots are an effective and innovative learning tool for improving students' conceptual understanding and learning independence.

Abstract

Students often repeat the same mistakes from year to year, these mistakes can come from various factors, both internal and external. Here we try to look at the external factors, one of which is the question item, whether the question is really too difficult or has low differentiation power, resulting in difficulties for students in answering it. On the other hand, we also want to know what types of errors students often experience so that we can minimize the repetition of these errors in the future. This research was conducted to see from both sides whether there was a match or not. The types of errors that are often made by students in advanced calculus courses are conceptual errors, procedural errors and operational errors. The sampling method was carried out twice, one for the sample of student error types and one for the sample of question item analysis. Here we want to know whether there is a relationship between the characteristics of the questions in the form of level of difficulty and the different strengths of the questions and the types of errors made by students in writing advanced calculus questions. From the results of the analysis of both, the results obtained were in accordance with the results, namely that although the questions tend to be moderate and relatively easy, students have not been able to maximize their learning outcomes in advanced calculus courses due to their lack of understanding at the basic level which can be seen from the types of errors such as errors in multiplication operations, errors in calculating integrals and not writing down formulas or concepts that apply in the questions. It is hoped that teachers can add small notes as a connecting thread that is broken in the concept of student understanding.

Abstract

Penggunaan teknologi informasi khususnya penerapan berbasis komputer mampu memberikan kemudahan dalam proses pembelajaran. Dalam penerapan pembelajaran berbasis komputer, tidak hanya dilihat dari kemampuan guru dalam menggunakan dan memanfaatkan komputer saja dalam pembelajaran, tetapi guru-guru juga dituntut untuk lebih berinovasi dan mengikuti perkembangan teknologi informasi dalam proses pembelajaran. Diantaranya, penggunaan aplikasi atau software yang mendukung proses pembelajaran. Salah satu software matematika yang dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran yaitu software GeoGebra. Dimasa pendemi ini penggunaan software GeoGebra sangat membantu guru dalam menyusun materi serta menjelaskan materi kepada siswa. Melalui kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini, tim PKM membantu mitra dengan memberikan pelatihan penggunaan software GeoGebra. Pelatihan ini bertujuan agar para guru SMP dan SMK lebih terampil dalam memanfaatkan media dalam pembelajaran. Kegiatan PKM ini dilakukan secara demonstrasi, yaitu tim PKM terlebih dahulu memberikan materi tentang software GeoGebra, dan dilanjutkan dengan memberikan pelatihan  menggunakan software GeoGebra kepada para peserta pelatihan. Dengan demikan, diharapkan guru-guru tersebut dapat memanfaatkan software GeoGebra dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Minat belajar siswa adalah perasaan senang yang dapat membuat atau mendorong siswa untuk melakukan sesuatu hal, dalam hal ini melakukan kegiatan belajar.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melihat pengaruh dan hubungan antara kecemasan belajar mahasiswa terhadap minat belajar Statistika Lanjut. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada salah satu Universitas Swasta di Kota Jakarta Timur. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa yang mengambil matakuliah Statistika Lanjut dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 54 orang mahasiswa. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini 1) terdapat adanya pengaruh yang signifikan antara kecemasan dan minat belajar mahasiswa pada saat mengikuti perkuliahan Statistika Lanjut; 2) terdapat adanya hubungan antara kecemasan dan minat belajar mahasiswa pada saat mengikuti perkuliahan Statistika Lanjut. Tingkat hubungan kecemasan dan minat belajar mahasiswa kuat, yaitu dengan nilai korelasinya 0,769.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat minat belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah metode numerik. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester 4 Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024 yang berjumlah 144 mahasiswa. Instrument pada penelitian ini berupa angket minat belajar dengan indikator perasaan senang, ketertarikan, perhatian dan keterlibatan. Indikator perasaan senang yaitu 67,07% dengan kategori sedang, indikator ketertarikan yaitu 68,78% dengan kategori sedang, indikator perhatian yaitu 77,65% dengan kategori tinggi, dan indikator keterlibatan yaitu 72,34% dengan kategori sedang. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa minat belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah metode numerik berada pada kategori sedang.

Abstract

The use of information technology in the learning process can help visualize abstract concepts and be able to involve students' active roles in the learning process. The use of instructional media in the classroom is also an important component of the learning process in constructing basic mathematical concepts. The importance of using information technology in the learning process also has a positive impact on student motivation and learning outcomes. One form of application is the use of learning media using GeoGebra software. Through this Community Service (PKM) activity, the PKM team helps partners by providing training on the use of GeoGebra software. This training aims to make mathematics teachers more skilled in utilizing media in learning. This PKM activity was carried out in a demonstration, namely the PKM team first gave a seminar on GeoGebra software, then continued by providing training using GeoGebra software. With this, it is hoped that teachers can use GeoGebra software in the learning process.
