Abstract

This research aims to implement and develop a new teaching and learning factory model based on life skills in Vocational Secondary Education (SME) Creative and Production Crafts Expertise Program. This model is designed to support the needs of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 by integrating project-based learning through collaboration between the school curriculum and the industrial world. This research usesmixed methods, with a quasi-experimental design involving control and experimental groups using pre-test and post-test. The results showed that the new teaching and learning factory model was valid and reliable based on expert validation tests. The implementation of this model successfully increased students' creativity in product design, production, and commercialisation, and it developed social skills such as critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. In conclusion, the implementation of the life skills-based teaching factory model is effective in preparing students to face the challenges of the world of work, improving innovation skills, and supporting production processes that are relevant to industry needs. The contribution of this research is in the development of an innovative learning model that integrates the education curriculum with the world of work, thus producing graduates who are better prepared to face the challenges of the Industrial Revolution 4.0.

Abstract

This program aims to improve the competitiveness of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Tasikmalaya through product innovation development strategies. This program adopts an interdisciplinary approach that includes several stages, from identifying needs to evaluating performance. The main activities carried out include local potential analysis, technical and managerial skills training, innovation assistance, and product evaluation. The results achieved from this program include innovative product prototypes, publication of scientific articles, video documentation, and draft Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). This program proves that collaboration based on science and technology can empower MSMEs, encourage the development of more competitive products, and support sustainable local economic development.

Abstract

Sosialisasi dan pelatihan Sport Education Model (SEM) berbasis materi kearifan budaya lokal dilakukan sebagai upaya Proyek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila Pancasila (P5) pada peserta didik. Model pembelajaran ini bertujuan untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai budaya lokal melalui aktivitas olahraga, sehingga siswa tidak hanya mengembangkan keterampilan fisik tetapi juga karakter yang selaras dengan nilai-nilai Pancasila. Dengan Kurikulum Merdeka memungkinkan sekolah untuk berkolaborasi lebih erat dengan komunitas lokal mereka serta memahami kebutuhan dan tantangan yang dihadapi, kurikulum juga dapat dirancang untuk mencakup pembelajaran yang lebih relevan dan praktis yang mendukung pencapaian SDG. Maka dari itu tujuan dari kegiatan ini untuk penyebarluasan SEM berbasis materi kearifan budaya lokal untuk penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila di sekolah dan masyarakat. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan, yaitu sosialisasi/seminar, pelatihan/workshop dan simulasi. Sasarannya adalah guru olahraga SD, pegiat olahraga serta mahasiswa. Hasil dari kegiatan ini meningkatan pemahaman kepada guru terkait implementasi SEM berbasis materi kearifan budaya lokal untuk penguatan P5 di Sekolah Dasar serta meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran inovatif berupa perangkat pembelajaran beroroentasi P5. Kegiatan ini juga menghasilkan naskah Implementasi Kerjasama antara Prodi S1 PGSD UPI Kampus Tasikmalaya dengan S1dan S2 Pendidikan Jasmani UNSUR

Abstract

The low level of fine motor skills in early childhood has become a concern in early childhood education, particularly due to the limited use of varied, meaningful, and developmentally appropriate learning media. This study aims to determine the effect of using loose part media on the development of fine motor skills in young children. A quantitative method with a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design was employed, involving 10 Group B students at RA Assalam, selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument consisted of monitoring documents based on indicators of fine motor development in early childhood, aligned with developmental achievement standards. The results showed an increase in the average score from 27.40 before the intervention to 42.50 after the intervention. The Wilcoxon test yielded a significance value of 0.005 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference between pretest and posttest results. Thus, the use of loose part media proved effective in enhancing the fine motor skills of early childhood learners. These findings highlight the importance of implementing flexible, exploratory, and child-friendly media to create enjoyable learning experiences and support children’s holistic development.

Abstract

The scarcity of research on English-speaking skills among children aged 5–6 years, particularly regarding vocabulary mastery, underlies this study. The research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Gelpitas technique in assisting children aged 5–6 years in speaking English. A pre-experimental design with a One-Group Pretest–Posttest model was employed, involving 15 group B students selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through observation and analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Wilcoxon test in SPSS 25. The results indicate that H₀ was rejected and H₁ was accepted, with an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.001 < 0.05. These findings demonstrate that the application of the Gelpitas technique significantly improves the English-speaking skills of children aged 5–6 years.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media flashcard terhadap perkembangan bahasa ekspresif anak usia 4–5 tahun di TK Fathurrahman Kabupaten Bandung. Bahasa ekspresif merupakan kemampuan anak dalam menyampaikan ide, perasaan, dan informasi secara verbal, yang menjadi dasar penting dalam komunikasi dan interaksi sosial. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Subjek terdiri dari 28 anak, yang terbagi ke dalam kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol setelah perlakuan diberikan. Anak yang belajar menggunakan media flashcard mengalami peningkatan yang lebih tinggi dalam kemampuan mengulang kalimat, menjawab pertanyaan, menyebutkan benda, menggunakan kata sifat, dan menyusun kalimat sederhana. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa media flashcard efektif digunakan untuk menstimulasi kemampuan bahasa ekspresif anak usia dini.

Abstract

Learning in vocational education must be carried out with collaboration between educators, vocational schools, curriculum alignment, and learning in factories as miniature industries stakeholders to achieve assessment in the form of real assessment so that the achievement of learning objectives follows the needs of students and the world of work. Assessment in the form of assessment must be measured in real terms, with religious, character, moral, and cultural education values and work competencies following community expectations. The objectives to be achieved through this research are to produce a learning program that can improve student competence in Vocational High School (VHS), including identifying the current condition of learning implementation, obtaining learning planning findings, obtaining learning implementation findings, obtaining findings regarding the assessment of learning outcomes, identifying supporting and inhibiting factors, knowing students' perceptions of the implementation of the BMC-based teaching and learning factory model in improving student competence in the concentration of leather and imitation craft design and production expertise in  VHS. With the implementation of a learning system using a block system as a teaching and learning factory, the implementation of learning must stimulate students to be more active in improving social skills, emotional skills, spiritual skills, scientific skills, mental skills, kinesthetic skills, as well as entrepreneurial skills, work ethics and safety, and work safety and the environment, which in turn can improve the competence and entrepreneurial character of students, following the vision and mission of the education unit.
