Abstract

The current education of cicatricial makeup competency does not use supporting learning media. This causes low student interest in following the learning process. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of using video tutorials, as well as to measure student learning outcomes and their reactions to the use of video tutorials in makeup skills in class XI of SMK Negeri 3 Kediri City. Quantitative methods were used, using a one-time case study. 36 students of class XI who studied skin and hair beauty were the subjects of the study. The results of the media expert validation recorded a score of 92%, while the validation by the linguist reached 90%, indicating that both were very feasible. The calculation of the average value in the student cognitive test was 95, where all students had achieved the Minimum Completion Criteria (≥80). Student responses were scored 4.8, indicating very good quality. The results of this study indicate that video tutorials are a very feasible and effective learning medium that improves student learning outcomes and has a very positive response from students. Abstract

Learning activities play an important role in student learning outcomes, especially in vocational high schools (SMK) that require skill acquisition. Color photography makeup competency in the beauty care major requires an understanding of anatomy theory and practical skills. The PBL model was chosen because it has the potential to improve students’ comprehension, group work, and interpersonal skills. The objective of this research is to identify the implementation of PBL constructs, student knowledge acqusition outcomes, and learner feedback. This research employed a pilot experimental design approach with a single-group pre-posttest design. The research tools consisted of observation sheets, cognitive and psychomotor tests, and questionnaires. The results showed that the implementation of PBL constructs was classified as very good with an average score of 3.84. Cognitive learning outcomes significantly increased from 65 to 84 points, and were classified as optimal. Psychomotor learning outcomes were classified as very good with 21 students in the very good category and 3 students in the good category. The response rate of students was 91%, which was evaluated as very good. In conclusion, the introduction of PBL can effectively optimize learning outcomes and students’ learning enthusiasm in the color photography makeup learning process

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine customer satisfaction in terms of price perception, service quality, and facilities for ombre eyebrow embroidery treatment at BBC hair and beauty studio and the quality of the results of ombre eyebrow embroidery treatment at BBC hair and beauty studio. The type of quantitative descriptive research used by the author in this study. The method used to obtain data is by distributing questionnaires measured by a Likert scale. The Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) method is used to process the results of the analysis. The average value of the customer satisfaction index for the price perception aspect is 0.81 with a very satisfied level of satisfaction, the average value of the customer satisfaction index for the service quality aspect is 0.82 with a very satisfied level of satisfaction, the average value of the customer satisfaction index for the facility aspect is 0.78 with a satisfied level of satisfaction. The highest aspect of customer satisfaction for ombre eyebrow embroidery treatment is the aspect of service satisfaction. The quality of the results obtained an average value of 0.85 with a very satisfied level of satisfaction, so the quality of the eyebrow embroidery treatment results is in accordance with customer expectations. Abstract

Learning media has an important function in learning, namely as an effective tool for students and can be used for independent learning. The purpose of the study was to determine the feasibility, development results, and student responses regarding powtoon animated video media on evening style bun styling material.This type of research is research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE approach.The results of the overall learning media validation assessment obtained an average of 4.65 so that based on the media feasibility criteria it was stated that the learning media developed was “very feasible”. The overall data of the student response questionnaire obtained an average respondent's answer of 4.44 so that based on the response criteria table the results of the student questionnaire are included in the criteria “very good” The powtoon animated video-based learning media for evening style bun material developed proved to be very feasible by looking at the results of the students' responses which were included in the very good qualifications, so it is possible that the learning media can be used on an ongoing basis at SMKN 2 Jombang.Keywords: Animated videos Powtoon, sanggul evening style

Abstract

Game-based learning media is considered to increase student interest in learning because it combines elements of entertainment and education in one teaching tool. This study aims to create interactive learning media based on games that can help students understand the subtopic of skin anatomy and physiology in a fun and interactive way. The method applied is the ADDIE development model. The results of the assessment by material experts and media experts indicate that the designed interactive game-based learning media is included in the "very appropriate" classification with a material examination result of 4.8 and a media result of 4.57. The average student response to the media showed the highest score of 4.9. In addition, student learning achievement also increased with a pretest score of 0.120 and a posttest score of 0.105. These findings prove that this interactive learning media based on games can be beneficial for learning, especially for theoretical subjects such as skin anatomy and physiology. By using this media, students can develop a greater level of curiosity and understanding in addition to participating in learning.

Abstract

Knowledge is an important factor in determining the actions or practices a person will carry out. Individuals who have good knowledge of a balanced nutritious diet tend to develop more positive attitudes and are more likely to apply balanced eating patterns in their daily lives. This consistent application of balanced nutrition can influence overall health, including facial skin health, because adequate nutrient intake helps support skin regeneration, maintain hydration, and improve the skin’s ability to repair and protect itself. This study aimed to examine the relationship between knowledge of balanced nutrition and facial skin health among undergraduate students in the Makeup Education (S1 Pendidikan Tata Rias) program. The research employed a quantitative design with a total of 50 respondents. Data were collected using two instruments: a test to measure respondents’ knowledge of balanced nutrition and a questionnaire to assess facial skin health. The relationship between the two variables was analyzed using the chi-square test. The results indicated a significant association between knowledge of balanced nutrition and facial skin health among the students. The analysis produced a chi-square value of 52.417 with a p-value of 0.029 (p < 0.05), suggesting that the variables are statistically related. Therefore, the study concludes that there is a significant relationship between balanced-nutrition knowledge and facial skin health in undergraduate Makeup Education students.Keywords: knowledge, balanced nutritional food, facial skin health

Abstract

This research involved the creation of learning resources for the Cikatri make-up topic within the double track program at SMA IPIEMS Surabaya, aiming to foster student creativity. Using a Research and Development (R&D) methodology, the study encompassed six distinct phases. Data was gathered through questionnaires and psychomotor assessments administered to 30 students enrolled in the double track beauty class. Findings indicated that the animated video learning tool achieved a 90% feasibility rating, classifying it as highly suitable. The average cognitive assessment score was 93.28%, with a t-test confirming a statistically significant improvement in learning outcomes. Concurrently, the average psychomotor assessment yielded a score of 93%, meeting the criterion for 100% classical completeness. Student feedback regarding this medium was overwhelmingly positive, registering at 92.67% and falling within the 'very well received' category. In summary, this investigation concludes that the animated video learning media for the Cikatri make-up material is exceptionally suitable for implementation, effectively enhances educational results, and garners a favorable reception from students.
