Abstract

Background: High-risk pregnancy occurs when a pregnant woman experiences increased health risks during pregnancy. This condition is influenced by several factors, including the mother's age being too young or too old, short gestation, frequent childbirth, and nutritional problems such as Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED). In Papua Province, the prevalence of CED in pregnant women reached 25.78%, higher than the national average. In addition, the prevalence of CED in Jayapura Regency is much higher than the national and provincial averages of 36.94%.Objectives: To investigate the age, gestational age, parity, and nutritional status of high-risk pregnant women, and to examine their consumption patterns of protein-rich foods. Methods: The type of research used is descriptive observational research with a cross-sectional design. This research was conducted at the Dosay Health Center, Waibhu Health Center, Sentani Health Center, and Harapan Health Center in Jayapura Regency, from June to August 2023. The study population included all pregnant women in the working area of the Health Center in the first and second trimesters, totaling 183 pregnant women, with a sample size of 105 pregnant women selected through purposive sampling. Data collected included the age of the pregnant women, the interval between pregnancies, parity, and nutritional status using BMI and upper arm circumference (Lila), along with dietary intake of protein sources, gathered using a Food Frequency Questionnaire.  Data analysis was carried out using univariate statistical tests using SPSS 16. Results: Among 105 sample, the majority had a risk age > 35 (52,4%). Pregnancy interval > 3 years (48,6%), parity < 4 (53,1%), good nutritional status (42,9%), upper arm circumference ≥ 23,5 cm (83,8%) and diet Insufficient protein sources (78,1%).Conclusion: The percentage of pregnant women with good nutritional status is quite low (42,9%) and most have a diet lacking in protein sources (78,1%). Abstract

Planting media with a certain composition and different treatments influence the growth of a plant. This research was carried out for 5 months from December 2022 -May 2023 with the aim of research to find out the right composition for planting T. catappa plants in the rehabilitation process of the Telaga Cemara beach forest in Holmafen Village, Muara Tor District, Sarmi Regency. The composition of the growing media used in this study was manure, cocopeat, and soil. The research design used was Completely Randomized Design (CRD). There are three variables used in this study, namely the independent variable (combination of Cocopeat manure and soil), dependent variable (type of tree planted), and control variable (soil without treatment). The results showed that there was an effect of treatment on the Ketapang plant which showed significant results on the five parameters tested, NL (T2K3), LL (T2K1), LW (T2K1), PH (T2K1), NB (T2K1). Based on the results of linear regression, the correct composition was obtained, namely the composition of 32.5% cocopeat, manure 17.5%, and land 50%.

Abstract

Substance abuse involving narcotics, psychotropics, and other addictive substances (NAPZA) among adolescents remains a public health concern in Jayapura City. Preliminary observations at Kalam Kudus Junior High School revealed that most students had limited knowledge regarding the dangers of substance abuse, while the available educational media remained conventional and less engaging for adolescents. This Community Service Program (PKM) aimed to improve students’ knowledge and attitudes toward the dangers of NAPZA through an educational picture-guessing game, implemented in the activity entitled GANZ: Gerakan Anti-NAPZA (Anti-NAPZA Movement). The program was designed using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach and conducted among 57 students at Kalam Kudus Junior High School on April 11, 2025. The intervention consisted of four stages: (1) identification of target groups, (2) health education and sharing sessions, (3) pre- and post-test data collection, and (4) implementation of the educational picture-guessing game. Data were collected using pretest and posttest questionnaires and analyzed with STATA 16. Results showed a 29.9% increase in knowledge and a 25% improvement in positive attitudes toward NAPZA prevention after the intervention. The picture-guessing game proved effective in enhancing adolescents’ knowledge and attitudes regarding the dangers of NAPZA. For sustainability, it is recommended that interactive educational media be integrated into school-based programs, alongside continuous collaboration with teachers and parents, to foster a supportive learning environment for NAPZA prevention among adolescents.
