Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan atas dasar rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa di sekolah dasar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan kepercayaan diri siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian eksperimen dengan desain kelompok kontrol pretes-postes. Sampel penelitian adalah SDN Palasah sebagai kelas eksperimen dan SDN Mandalaherang I sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian dengan taraf signifikansi α = 0.05. Pembelajaran dengan pendekatan CTL lebih baik secara signifikan daripada pembelajaran konvensional dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Pembelajaran dengan pendekatan CTL lebih baik secara signifikan daripada pembelajaran konvensional dalam meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa. Terdapat hubungan positif antara kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dengan kepercayaan diri siswa. Siswa memberikan respon positif terhadap pembelajaran CTL. Aktivitas siswa dan kinerja guru yang optimal menjadi faktor pendukung dalam penelitian. Kata Kunci: Pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis, Kepercayaan Diri.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to improved understanding and connection mathematical ability by applying problem-based learning approached and conventional learning, the differents of improved about both of them, the connection between understanding ability and connection ability also students response after given the treatment used  problem-based learning approached. Quasi-experiments method with control teams design wasn’t equivalent to used. The instrumen which used pretest and posttest questions, observation paper both teacher performance and students activity, also interview students guided. Based on the purpose of the research, the result student’s understanding and connection mathematical ability was improved, both at class experiment and control class. But, the result not refered that learning used by problem-based learning approached was better than conventional learning.  A lot of factor which can make it happen. But, students responed was good after the class meeting used problem-based learning approached. Based on signification degree 0,05, the result showed that understanding and connection mathematical ability, both of them has positive connection.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve student learning result of fifth grade students of  SDN Talun with implementation of PUHI (Pop Up History of Indonesia) with Make a Match method. The form of this research was class action research. The research performed in three cycles, each cycle has four, each cycle cincist planing, implementing, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this research were  the fifth grade students of SDN Talun which consist of 25 students. The techniques of collecting data in this research are interview, observation, tests, and field notes. Data processing techniques used are data processing techniques and data processing techniques results. The validation of data used is member check, triangulation, and audit trail. The conclusion of this research is implementation of PUHI (Pop Up History of Indonesia) with Make a Match method can improve the learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SDN Talun.

Abstract

This research is part of research report of Contextual Approach Based on Majalaya Ethnography to improve mathematical problem solving ability. This research is a quasi-experimental research with non-equivalent control research design. The population in this research is all elementary school students in Majalaya sub-district of Bandung Regency, while the sample is the fourth grade students of SDN Majasetra 02 and SDN Babakan Lapang that is decided by using quota sampling and purposive sampling. After that all fourth grade students in both elementary schools were given basic ability test to know the equality of ability between the two elementary schools. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the improvement of students' mathematical problem solving ability that is acquired through learning with the contextual approach based on Majalaya ethnography and the conventional learning does not show significant differences, but the contextual learning process based on Majalaya ethnography is better than conventional approach.

Abstract

The purpose ofi this research is to know the effect of the contextual approach in improving student learning results on materials familiar with melodic instruments, as well as to know differences in student learning results using contextual approaches and conventional approaches in classroom students IV SDN Sukalilah. The method usedlin this research is anexperimentalimethodkwith pretestoposttestpcontrolpgroup design. Theppopulation in this researchmismthelfourth graders of elementary school in Pamulihan sub-district. While for the sample is the students of grade IVB SDN Sukalilah as experimentaliclass andlstudentslof class IVApSDNlSukalilah aska controloclass. The instrument used is a matter of student learning results with materials familiar with melodic instruments, observation, and interview. Result of research with significant level α = 0,05 indicate that learning with contextual approach can improve student learning result significantly than conventional learning.

Abstract

The importance of mathematical communication ability and confidence of students in learning is the background of this research. Therefore, this research will implement a icooperative modell iof type Numbered Heads Together (NHT) iin lthe llearning process. That is because of the model of cooperative deals with mathematical communication skills and self-confidence of students. As for the purpose of research, namely thei applicatiion oft the cooperatiive modell oif type iNumbered Headsf Togetherx (NHTo) as an attempt to improve the mathematical communication skills and confidence elementary school students. This includes research into the types of research design experimental non-quasi equgivalent coentrol groupl. Thze vpopulation hin thisb study are gradel IV elementary school District. Lemahabang Kab. Cirebon. While the research sample is SDN Cipeujeuh Kulon 1 as class experiments and SDN Cipeujeuh Kulon 2 as the class of the control. The instruments used are a matter pre test and post test, now the confidence of the students, teachers, performance observation guidelines and the guidelines for the observation of activity of students. The results showed that the existence of a significant difference in mathematical ability improvement and confidence of students both in the classroom experiments as well as the class of the control. It is proved by the results of test calculations of average difference values of gain using a test-T sample of mathematical communication ability for free and test-U for the confidence of students. On mathematical communication skills acquired P-value (Sig 1-tailed) of 0.009, while confidence is obtained P-value (Sig 1-tailed) by 0.0043. It can be concluded that increased the ability of mathematical communication and self-confidence of students who follow learning model cooperative type NHT more significant compared to students who follow the conventional learning.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk meningkatkan kemampuan koneksi dan pemahaman matematis siswa pada materi perbandingan dengan pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME), melihat perbedaan kemampuan koneksi dan pemahaman matematis kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, mengetahui respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran RME. Populasinya seluruh siswa kelas V SD se-Kecamatan Sumedang Utara, sampelnya adalah siswa kelas V SDN Sindangraja kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas V SDN Jatihurip kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan soal pretes dan postes, angket respon siswa, lembar observasi kinerja guru, dan lembar observasi aktivitas siswa. Penelitian dilakukan dalam tiga kali pertemuan pembelajaran. Menggunakan metode eksperimen desain kelompok kontrol pretes-postes. Hasil analisis nilai pretes dan postes sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan yang berbeda menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan koneksi dan pemahaman matematis siswa pada materi perbandingan. Pembelajaran RME lebih baik secara signifikan daripada pembelajaran konvensional dalam meningkatkan kemampuan koneksi matematis. Akan tetapi, untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman matematis pendekatan RME tidak lebih baik daripada pendekatan konvensional. Kata Kunci: Pendekatan RME, Koneksi Matematis, Pemahaman Matematis

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan pendekatan kontekstual lebih baik daripada konvensional dalam meningkatkan kemampuan koneksi dan motivasi belajar siswa serta bagaimana hubungan antara kemampuan koneksi matematis dan motivasi belajar siswa. Metode yang digunakan yaitu eksperimen dengan desain kelompok kontrol pretes-postes. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas IV SD se-kecamatan Cisitu yang sekolahnya berada pada kelompok unggul. Sementara, sampelnya adalah siswa kelas IV SDN Corenda sebagai kelas eksperimen dan SDN Nanggerang sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa soal tes kemampuan koneksi matematis, skala sikap motivasi belajar, lembar observasi kinerja guru dan aktivitas siswa, jurnal siswa, serta catatan lapangan. Hasil penelitian dengan taraf signifikansi α = 0,05 menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan pendekatan kontekstual lebih baik secara signifikan daripada pembelajaran konvensional dalam meningkatkan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa dan motivasi belajar siswa. Terdapat hubungan positif antara kemampuan koneksi matematis dan motivasi belajar. Kata Kunci: Pendekatan Kontekstual, Koneksi Matematis, Motivasi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis dan motivasi belajar siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional maupun pendekatan kontekstual, 2) mengetahui ada tidaknya perbedaan antara penggunaan pembelajaran konvensional dengan pendekatan kontekstual terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis dan motivasi belajar siswa. Metode yang digunakan yaitu eksperimen dengan desain kelompok kontrol pretes-postes. Populasinya adalah seluruh siswa SDN 3 Karangsembung Kecamatan Karangsembung Kabupaten Cirebon. Sementara, sampelnya adalah siswa kelas IVA (kelas eksperimen)  dan siswa kelas IVB (kelas kontrol). Instrumen yang digunakan berupa soal tes kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis, lembar observasi kinerja guru dan aktivitas siswa, angket dan jurnal harian siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis dan motivasi belajar siswa yang menggunakan pendekatan kontekstual lebih baik secara signifikan dengan konvensional. Selain itu, kinerja guru yang optimal dan aktivitas siswa yang baik menjadi faktor pendukung pembelajaran kontekstual. siswa  merespon positif terhadap pembelajaran. Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the increase in mathematical problem solving ability of students with mathematics learning using the Problem-Based Learning with TAPPS strategy on 5th grader comparative material. This research method using a quasi-experimental method by nonequivalent control group design. Samples were selected in the study were students of SDN Sukaraja II 5th grader. There are various instruments used in the study, such as tests the ability of mathematical problem solving, observation formats, and the format of student questionnaire responses. Research results with a significance level (α) = 0.05 indicates that learning using the Problem-Based Learning with TAPPS strategy and conventional learning can enhance students' mathematical problem solving ability. Problem-Based Learning with TAPPS strategy significantly better than conventional learning in improving mathematical problem solving ability. Students' response to mathematics learning using Problem-Based Learning with TAPPS strategies that have been implemented relatively positive.
