Abstract

Local wisdom can be interpreted as a system in the order of social, political, cultural, economic and environmental life that lives in local communities based on clear reasoning, good manners and containing positive things. In education, methods, strategies, techniques have an important role and position in achieving educational goals because methods are tools for conveying learning that has been studied in the curriculum and can be tools to facilitate the delivery of material to students. Learning methods, playing and singing is a method in the learning process that is fun for children so that they are more enthusiastic, enthusiastic about learning and don't get bored quickly when learning. This activity is very closely related to children and has a close relationship with children's world. The aim of this research is to make it easier for social studies teachers in elementary schools when implementing learning methods adapted to social studies material in class. By implementing the Sido Nembang learning method, it is hoped that students will be able to learn, play and sing well. This research was conducted in elementary schools in the DKI Jakarta area for one year. By using qualitative-based research methods. The final result is that researchers want to see how the implementation of the Sido Nembang learning method based on local wisdom is integrated with material content and sub-themes in social studies subjects in elementary schools.   Keywords: learning methods, local wisdom, social sciences in elementary schools

Abstract

This research was carried out to determine students’ high-level thinking abilities in ntural Science lessons in elementary schools. In this ever-growing 21st century, students need abilities in learning, namely high-level thinking, students must applys cience learning based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), which is a student thinking process with a higher cognitive level developed from various learning taxonomy concepts such as Bloom’s taxonomy, learning taxonomy, teaching and assessment. The aim of students implementing HOTS is to improve students’ ability to think critically at a higher level. This type of research is qualitative research using the literature study method. The result is that implementing HOTS-based learning in high school elementary schools trains students abilities to think critically, creatively, and solve their own problems with the knowledge they have. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa pada pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) di sekolah dasar. Dalam abad 1 yang terus berkembang ini, siswa membutuhkan kemampuan dalam pembelajaran yaitu cara berpikir tingkat tinggi, maka siswa harus menerapkan pembelajaran IPA berbasis Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), yang merupakan proses berfikir siswa dengan level kognitif yang lebih tinggi yang dikembangkan dari berbagai konsep taksonomi pembelajaran seperti taksonomi Bloom, taksonomi pembelajaran, pengajaran dan penilaian. Tujuan dari siswa menerapkan HOTS, yaitu agar meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam berfikir kritis pada level yang lebih tinggi. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur. Hasilnya dengan menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis HOTS di SD kelas tinggi melatih kemampuan siswa untuk berpikir kritis, kreatif, memecahkan masalah sendiri dengan pengetahuan yang dimiliki.

Abstract

Environmental and Cultural Education Jakarta is a local content subject specialized in schools in the Jakarta area. The assumption that PLBJ is a local content and not a core subject causes a lack of attention from teachers & schools to the achievement of this subject. One form of this is the lack of use of interactive learning media in PLBJ learning process at SDN Karet 04 Pagi. This study aims to identify the extent to which interactive learning media is needed in PLBJ Learning MaterialHistorical Tourist Attractions in Jakarta. The research subjects were teachers and fourth grade students of SDN Karet 04 Pagi. The research method used a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The results showed that both teachers and grade IV students need interactive media in PLBJ Learning.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the speaking difficulties of grade 5B students at SDN Galur 01 Jakarta. Speaking skill is an important part of English learning in Elementary School. This research used a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through  classroom observation , and semi – structured interviews with the teacher and students. The results showed that speaking difficulties are influenced by internal factors such as psychological barriers and lack of habituation in using English, and external factors , namely an unsupportive environment.

Abstract

Literacy is a very important activity to be implemented at an early age, especially in the scope of education, with literacy at the elementary school level being able to improve reading skills. This study analyzes the low literacy of reading books in grade 3 students which includes a discussion of the causes and factors that influence their literacy development. The ability to read, write and count students is closely related to the world of reading skills. The reading interest of students in grade 3 is still relatively low and can have a negative impact on the world of education. This study was conducted at SDN Mekarjaya 20, Depok City with the type of research used by researchers, namely Qualitative Research using a Descriptive approach, data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The purpose of this study is to analyze the basic literacy problems faced by grade 3 students and identify solutions to improve students' literacy skills. From this study, several facts can be obtained, namely low interest in literacy, limited reading books, and lack of support from families, especially parents, while studying at home. The solution to overcome problems related to low literacy in reading books is to involve the active role and support of families, especially parents, while studying at hom.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the need for developing interactive learning media to improve multiplication memorization skills among fourth-grade elementary students. The issue addressed is the students’ low mastery of multiplication, particularly with higher numbers, and the lack of effectiveness in conventional teaching methods. The research employed a descriptive quantitative approach with data collection techniques including closed questionnaires for 17 students of Class IV-C and open interviews with the homeroom teacher. The findings indicate that most students experience progressive difficulty in memorizing multiplication and express a strong preference for fun and interactive learning. Meanwhile, the teacher acknowledged the limitations of current methods and highlighted the need for innovative media tailored to students' learning styles. These results underscore the urgent need to develop interactive learning tools that enhance student engagement, simplify abstract concepts, and support gradual and sustained multiplication memorization.

Abstract

This experimental study aims to determine the effect of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model on the emotional intelligence of fourth-grade elementary school students in the subject of Pendidikan Pancasila. The research subjects consisted of two classes: Class IV A as the experimental class using the TGT model and Class IV B as the control class using the STAD model, with 30 students in each class. The emotional intelligence questionnaire was tested for validity and reliability through a trial involving. The post-test analysis showed a significant difference (Sig. 0.001 < 0.05) between the two groups, with the experimental class having a higher average score (93.73) compared to the control class (78.87). The implementation of the TGT model enhanced students’ empathy, self-control, and cooperation. The TGT model is recommended as an effective strategy for fostering emotional intelligence in Pancasila Education.
