Abstract

Meretrix meretrix is a degraded resource in Kendari Bay waters, but its reproductive pattern is not fully known.. This study aims to determine the level of gonad maturity, gonadal maturity index, fecundity and the size of the first gonad maturity of M. meretrix at the Kambu River estuary, Kendari Bay, Southeast Sulawesi. This research was carried out at the Kambu River estuary for 6 months from August 2021-January 2022. These clams were taken randomly representing all size classes as many as 300 birds during the study. M. meretrix were observed for gonad color and gonad development microscopically, then the length and weight of the gonads were measured using a caliper and analytical balance with an accuracy of 0.5 mm and 0.0001g, respectively. The results showed that the development of male and female gonads was relatively simultaneous, which was dominated by mature gonads (III-IV) in each month of observation. TKG I-V was found in every month of observation. The gonad maturity index of males and females were 4.92-6.00 and 5.53-6.32, respectively. The fecundity of M. meretrix ranged from 4882-85677 grains. The first mature size of the gonads of male and female M. meretrix is 20 mm.

Abstract

White shells is one of the types of shellfish that is exploited by the community around the Kambu River estuary whose population dynamics is not known certainty. This study aims to determine the population dynamics of white shells in the Kambu River estuary, Southeast Sulawesi. This research was carried out for six months from August 2021 to January 2022. white shells were collected using garok in all parts of the waters. The shell length was measured using a caliper with an accuracy of 0.05 cm. Data on population structure, growth and mortality of clams was analyzed using FiSAT II version 3,0 software. The results showed that the population structure of white shells were dominated by one size group (young adult) which were distributed. The growth parameters of white shells consisted of asymptotic length (L∞) and growth coefficient (K) were 58,91 mm and 1.1, respectively. Natural mortality (M) of white shells at an annual mean temperature of 28oC was 1,59 yr-1, while fishing mortality (F) and total mortality (Z) of white shells were 3,16 yr-1 and 4,75 yr-1, respectively. The white shells were in an overexploitation condition with an exploitation level (E) of 0,67 yr-1.

Abstract

White clams at the mouth of the Kambu River in Kendari Bay have a preference for different substrate textures and are under ecological pressure.  This study aims to determine the density of tofu shells at the mouth of the Kambu River, Kendari Bay, Southeast Sulawesi. This research was conducted at the estuary of the Wanggu River, Kendari Bay, Southeast Sulawesi from August 2021 to January 2022. White clams were taken manually using a 1x1 m squared transect. These shellfish samples were taken 6 times in repetition/station in each month of observation. Samples found in the field were counted. Taking the texture of the aquatic substrate together with the sampling of shellfish. The results showed that the maximum density of white clams at the mouth of the Kambu River, Kendari Bay, was 7.3 ind/m2. The highest density of white clams was found at stations I and II, while the lowest density was found at station III. The highest density of shellfish was found in the type of substrate which was dominated by the fine sand fraction, while the lowest density was found in the type of substrate which was dominated by the silt fraction.

Abstract

The length-weight relationship and condition index of pokea clams in the Laeya River are not fully known. This study was aimed to determine the length-weight relationship and condition index of pokea clams in the Laeya River, Southeast Sulawesi. This research was conducted 10 months from May 2016 to February 2017 in the Laeya River, Southeast Sulawesi. Pokea clams are collected using a shovel. The length and weight of each clam was using calipers and analytical scales with accuracy of 0.05 mm and 0.01 g, respectively. The weight of the shell and dried meat was obtained by drying the shells first using an oven and weighing using an analytical balance with an accuracy of 0.01 g and 0.0001 g, respectively. The results showed that the relationship between length and weight of pokea clams in males and females were 2.61 and 2.78, respectively; with R2 values of 0.89 and 0.93, respectively. The highest b values for males and females were found in July with values of 3.03 and 2.94, respectively. The lowest b value was found in November with values of 2.45 and 2.46, respectively. The condition index values for males and females were 4.7 ± 2.2 and 5.17 ± 2.32, respectively. The highest condition index was found in May with values of 6.00 ± 3.07 and 7.83 ± 2.55, respectively. The condition index values for males and females increased with increasing shell size. Male and female at the largest size (6.01-6.05 cm) had the highest index with values of 8.05 ± 6.41 and 9.12 ± 3.38, respectively. In conclusions, the growth was negative allometric pattern, condition index was in fat category, and had peak spawning in July and experienced partial spawning in September-February.

Abstract

Mussel mussels are invasive shellfish whose reproductive potential in the Lahumbuti River is unknown. This study aims to determine the seasonal variations in the reproduction of mussel shells in the Lahumbuti River, Southeast Sulawesi. This research was carried out in the Lahumbuti River Konawe, Southeast Sulawesi in 2 periods, namely: May-October 2021 and February-June 2022. The mussels were collected manually using a hand scoop. Furthermore, the shells are washed from dirt/soil attached to the shell. The length and weight of the mussels (total weight and meat weight) were measured using a caliper and a digital scale with an accuracy of 0.5 mm and 0.01 g, respectively. TKG was observed microscopically by using a gonad microscope. Fecundity was calculated by the number of type D spats in the mussel gill sieves. The results showed that male and female mussels were in developmental phases (TKG I, II and III), gonadal maturity (TKG IV) and spawning (TKG V) were found throughout the season. The actual IKG values ​​did not differ based on the time of observation, although there was a tendency for the IKG values ​​to be found to be higher in February-April. Fecundity of mussel mussels ranged from 16317-58429. The size at first maturity of male and female mussel mussels occurred at 3.9 cm and 4.7 cm, respectively.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui indeks kondisi dan hubungan panjang-berat Modiolus modulaides di Teluk Kendari. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 6 bulan dari bulan Januari-Juni 2018.  Kerang dikumpulkan secara acak menggunakan sekop kecil di dalam transek 1×1 m2. Kerang dibawa ke laboratorium untuk diukur panjang dan beratnya masing-masing menggunakan jangka sorong (ketelitian 0,05 mm) dan timbangan digital (ketelitian 0,01 g). Kerang dikeringkan dengan oven pada suhu 60°C selama 72 jam, dan ditimbang menggunakan timbangan analitik (ketelitian 0,0001 g).  Pertumbuhan kerang dianalisis menggunakan regresi linier sederhana dan indeks kondisi jantan dan betina diuji menggunakan Mann Whitney test (α=0.05). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertumbuhan kerang M. modulaides dari hubungan panjang berat jantan dan betina dengan nilai kisaran dan rata-rata masing-masing yaitu 2,88-3,33 (2,90) dan 2,89-3,47 (2,99) yang berarti kedua jenis kelamin berada dalam kategori isometrik.  Pola perubahan nilai b jantan dan betina berdasarkan waktu pengamatan relatif bersamaan dengan kecenderungan nilai b yang mengalami penurunan dari bulan Januari-Mei. Indeks kondisi jantan dan betina tidak berbeda nyata berdasarkan ukuran dan waktu pengamatan dengan rata-rata masing-masing 2,18±0.96 dan 2,11±0.99. Indeks kondisi tertinggi berdasarkan ukuran dan waktu pengamatan masing-masing ditemukan pada ukuran 4,6-5,0 dan bulan April-Mei, sedangkan indeks kondisi terendah pada ukuran 8,6-9,0 dan bulan Februari. KEYWORDScondition index, length-weight relationship, Modiolus modulaides, growth, Kendari BayABSTRACTThis study was aimed to determine the condition index and the length-weight relationship of Modiolus modulaides in Kendari Bay. The clams were oven-dried at 60°C for 72 hours, and weighed using an analytical balance (accuracy 0.0001 g). Mussel growth was analyzed using simple linear regression and the condition index of males and females was tested using the Mann Whitney test (α=0.05). The results showed that the growth of M. modulaides mussels from the length-weight relationship of male and female with the range and average values of each were 2.88-3.33 (2.90) and 2.89-3.47 (2.99) respectively which means both sexes are in the isometric category. The pattern of changes in male and female b values based on observation time is relatively the same as the tendency for b values to decrease from January to May. The condition indexes for males and females were not significantly different based on size and time of observation with an average of 2.18 ± 0.96 and 2.11 ± 0.99 respectively. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Mendeskripsikan upaya penguatan kelembagaan desa dalam mendukung program pembangunan di Desa Jaya Makmur. Dengan rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana model penguatan kelembagaan desa dalam mendukung program pembangunan di Desa Jaya Makmur. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Informan penelitian ini ada sepuluh (10) orang stakeholder. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah studi literatur, wawancara, observasi lapangan, dan pengambilan foto/dokumentasi dengan sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan data primer dan data sekunder. Teknik yang digunakan dalam analisis data adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Jika dilihat dari model penguatan kelembagaan desa sudah teraktualisasikan walaupun masih ada lembaga yang belum terorganisir dengan baik, akan tetapi keberhasilan pelaksanaan program pembangunan di Desa Jaya Makmur pada dasarnya ditentukan oleh sejauh mana komitmen dan konsistensi masyarakat desa saling bekerjasama membangun desa. Hal ini bisa kita lihat pada perlombaan desa, kenapa tidak diadakannya perlombaan desa inilah yang seharusnya menjadi pembelajaran kepada elemen desa untuk mengorganisir masyarakat desa.

Abstract

Budidaya ayam kampung super menawarkan prospek bisnis yang cerah dan lebih menguntungkan dibandingkan dengan jenis unggas lainnya. Ayam kampung super memiliki keunggulan seperti corak bulu dan fisik yang mirip dengan ayam kampung biasa, masa panen yang relatif singkat, dan harga jual yang stabil dan tinggi karena masih diminati oleh restoran dan rumah makan. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas budidaya ayam kampung super di Kelurahan Watubangga, Kecamatan Baruga, Kota Kendari. Fokus utama adalah memberikan pelatihan teknis dalam pembuatan pakan menggunakan bahan lokal untuk mendukung kesejahteraan peternak dan meningkatkan kualitas produk. Metode yang digunakan meliputi observasi, penyuluhan, dan evaluasi untuk memastikan pemahaman yang tepat dan implementasi yang efektif. Hasilnya menunjukkan antusiasme yang tinggi dari para peternak, yang siap mengimplementasikan pengetahuan baru ini untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dan kualitas ayam kampung super.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengelaborasi proses dan hasil pemberdayaan remaja melalui pelatihan keterampilan tata rias di Panti Sosial Anda dan Remaja (PSAR) Dinas Sosial Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitan kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Informan penelitian adalah 10 remaja peserta pelatihan, pengelola panti, dan instruktur. Metode pengambilan data menggunakan observasi partisipan, wawancara secara mendalam, dan studi dokumen. Teknik analisis data melalui display data, reduksi data, verifikasi data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Teknik keabsahan data melalui triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: proses pemberdayaan remaja dari keluarga kurang mampu melalui pemberian pelatihan keterampilan tata rias di UPTD-PSAR berlangsung dengan baik dalam 4 tahap yaitu: tahap perencanaan, tahap pelaksanaan, tahap pemberdayaan remaja, dan tahap evaluasi. Pertama, tahap perencanaan meliputi waktu kegiatan, seleksi peserta, instruktur, anggaran, kesiapan tempat, peralatan, dan bahan ajar. Kedua, tahap pelaksanaan yang terdiri dari pemberian motivasi, pengenalan alat dan bahan beserta fungsinya, proses pembelajaran dan praktek kerja; Ketiga, tahap pemberdayaan remaja; dan terakhir tahap evaluasi, dilakukan oleh instruktur dalam bentuk pujian bagi yang pintar dan perbaikan bagi peserta yang belum bisa. Dengan bertambahnya keterampilan peserta dalam bidang tata rias, akan membuka peluang peserta untuk berwira usaha, dan mendorong terciptanya kemandirian remaja.

Abstract

Kerang remis merupakan organisme air tawar yang memiliki nilai ekonomis & keberadannya banyak dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat Sungai Konaweha. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui laju eksploitasi kerang remis (Corbicula sp.). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan tiga bulan yaitu dari bulan Agustus-Oktober 2021. Lokasi penelitian bertempat di Perairan Sungai Konaweha Kecamatan Unaaha Kabupaten Konawe Sulawesi Tenggara. Data dianalisis menggunakan FiSAT II versi 3.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kelompok ukuran berdasarkan frekuensi panjang didominasi ukuran 25-27,7 mm. Parameter pertumbuhan diperoleh panjang asimtotik kerang remis (L) yaitu 40,95 mm. Koefisien laju pertumbuhan (K) 0,82, nilai t0 yaitu -0,12, ’ yaitu 7,23, sedangkan nilai tmaks yaitu 3,66. mortalitas alami (M) kerang remis sebesar 1,51/tahun dan mortalitas penangkapan (F) sebesar 1,40/tahun sehingga mortalitas totalnya bernilai 2,9/tahun, sedangkan tingkat eksploitasi sebesar 0,48/tahun. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat eksploitasi di perairan Sungai Konaweha kategori rendah (under exploited).
