Abstract

The experiment aimed to know effect of supplementing dry carboxylate salt mixture (DCM)or coconut oil hydrolisate (COH) on kampong chicken performance. The experiment used DOC whichis divided to is 75 units henhouse with 3 treatments and 5 replications. Each unit consist of 5 DOCand fed treatments during 8 weeks. The treatments were T1 (commercial ration = BP-1), T + 3%DCM), and T3 (T + 3% COH). The variables were daily feed intake, weekly gain, feed conversion,carcass weight, gizzard weight, liver weight, and heart weight. The data analysis used ANOVA andorthogonal contrast test. The results showed that daily feed intake (g/d), T112 = 53.52 ± 3.00 =38.86 ± 5.12± 1.22, T3b, T3 = 50.72 ± 6.41a, weekly gain (g/week) T = 10.72 ± 6.41, feed conversion T11 = 17.41 ± 4.80, T = 6.11 ± 1.24, T22 = 3.92 ± 1.06, T = 18.89 ± 2.77, T = 5.71 ± 1.09, carcassweight (kg) T1 = 75 ± 19.33c, T2 = 345.50 ± 19.33b, T3 = 377.0 ± 10.55a3, gizzard weight (g) T = 10.75 ±0.5, T2 = 12.13 ± 0.25, T3 = 13.13 ± 0.25, liver weight T1 = 10.6 ± 0.81, T2 = 13.1 ± 0.05, T = 16.63 ±0.48, heart weight T1 = 2.4 ± 0.25, T2 = 3.3 ± 0.29, T = 4.0 ± 0.41. Abstract

The research was aimed to know the percentage carcass of broiler with rationsupplementation of protected fatty acid. The sample used in this research is 48 broiler chickensunsexed strain avian CP707 production of PT. Charoen Phokhpand Makassar divided in 12 plotsenclosure 1x1 meters. The design of this research is a Completely Randomized Design with 3treatments and 4 replications. The treatments were T0 = commercial ration BP-11, T1 = T0+3% drycarboxylate salt mixed (DCM), T2-T0+3% coconut oil hydrolisate. Variables measured were weightgain (kg), weight carcass (kg) and percentage carcass (%). Data were analyzed by variance analysisand continued by orthogonal contrast test. The conclusion showed that (1) ration withsupplementation 3% dry carboxy late salt mixed give result 2,00±0,04 kg weight gain, 1,34±0,05 kgweight carcass and 66,88±2,19% percentage carcass, (2) ration with supplementation 3% coconut oilhydrolisate give result 1,91±0,05 kg weight gain, 1,29±0,0,07 weight carcass and 67,28±2,29%percentage carcass, (3) ration with 3% supplementation of protected fatty acid cannot improveweight gain, weight carcass and percentage carcass broiler chicken.Key Words : Fatty Acid, Weight Gain, Weight Carcass, Percentage Carcass, Chicken Broiler

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh dari pemberian kunyit (3%), bawang putih (5%) dan mineral zink (180 ppm) terhadap kadar kolesterol darah broiler.Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Pakan Terpadu Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Hasanuddin dengan menggunakan DOC sebanyak 100 ekor broiler dari Strain Arbor Acres 707, dibagi ke dalam 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan yang setiap perlakuan terdiri atas 5 ekor. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis statistik dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dan diuji lanjut dengan uji ortogonal kontras. Ransum perlakuan R0 (ransum jadi atau kontrol), R1 (ransum jadi + serbuk bawang putih 5% + serbuk kunyit 3%, R2 (ransum jadi + serbuk bawang putih 5% + ZnO 180 ppm), R3 (ransum jadi + serbuk kunyit 3% + ZnO 180 ppm), R4 (ransum jadi + serbuk bawang putih 5% + serbuk kunyit 3% + ZnO 180 ppm). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian serbuk bawang putih, kunyit dan mineral zink dalam pakan menurunkan terhadap parameter kadar kolesterol darah. Kombinasi serbuk bawang putih (5%) dan ZnO (180 ppm) pada perlakuan R2 efektif menurunkan kadar kolesterol total, LDL, trigliserida dan meningkatkan kadar HDL dalam darah.Kata kunci : Kunyit, Bawang putih, Zink, Kolesterol darah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji performa produksi telur dan reproduksi hasil persilangan ayam Bangkok dengan ayam Ras petelur.dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Unit Unggas Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Halu Oleo Kendari, pada bulan Juni sampai dengan Agustus 2017. Penelitian ini menggunakan ayam Bangkok betina sebanyak 15 ekor, ayam Bangkok jantan sebanyak 3 ekor, ayam Ras petelur jantan sebanyak 2 ekor dan ayam Ras petelur betina 15 ekor. Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh penambahan ramuan herbal yang dikombinasikan dengan ekstrak kerang bakau (Polymesoda erosa) di dalam pakan terhadap kadar kolesterol, asam urat dan glukosa darah ayam buras. Penelitian menggunakan 100 ekor ayam buras yang dipelihara mulai dari umur satu hari (DOC) sampai dengan umur 16 minggu. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri atas R0 (pakan basal + 0% probiotik herbal + 0% ekstrak kerang bakau), R1 (pakan basal + 0,75% probiotik herbal + 1,5% ekstrak kerang bakau), R2 (pakan basal + 1,5% probiotik herbal + 3% ekstrak kerang bakau), R3 (pakan basal + 2,25% probiotik herbal + 4,5% ekstrak kerang bakau) dan R4 (pakan basal + 3% probiotik herbal + 6% ekstrak kerang bakau). Data yang diperoleh dari hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan sidik ragam dan dilanjutkan dengan uji jarak berganda Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rataan kolesterol darah yang diperoleh adalah berturut-turut 185,00±7,30 (P0), 185,75±6,80 (P1), 153,25±19,06 (P2), 167,75±17,72 (P3), 214,00±19,18 (P4). Rataan asam urat dalam darah yang diperoleh adalah 3,95±0,58 (P0), 6,70±4,23 (P1), 4,10±0,64 (P2), 4,32±1,27 (P3), 6,30±2,27 (P4). Sedangkan rataan glukosa darah yang diperoleh adalah 231±20,19 (P0), 188,50±24,63 (P1), 223,50±32,19 (P2), 227,25±68,61 (P3), 236,50±28,43 (P4).   Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian ramuan herbal dan ekstrak kerang bakau dalam pakan dapat mempengaruhi kadar kolestrol darah, namun tidak mempengaruhi kadar asam urat dan glukosa darah ayam buras. Kadar kolesterol darah terendah diperoleh pada perlakuan R2 dan R3 yang nyata berbeda dengan perlakuan R0, R1 dan R4.Kata Kunci: ayam buras, ramuan herbal, kolesterol, asam urat, glukosa darah.ABSTRACTKeywords:  blood glucose, cholesterol, herbal concoction, uric acid, village chickenThe objectives of this research was to evaluate the effect of agricultural by product-based feed supplemented with herbal concoction (HC) and mud clams extract (MC) on blood cholesterol, uric acid and blood glucose concentration. Completely randomized design was used with 4 treatments and 4 replications.  Ninety day old chick of local village chicken was used in this experiment and kept up to 16 weeks during the experiment. The treatments consisted of basal feed (R0), basal feed + 0.75% HC + 1.5% MC (R1), basal feed + 1.5% HC + 3.0% MC (R2), basal feed + 2.25% HC + 4.5% MC (R3), basal feed + 3.0% HC + 6.0% MC (R4).  All data were analyzed using analysis of variance and different between treatments were proved using Duncan multiple range test. The results showed that the concentrations of blood cholesterol gained (mg/dl) were 185.00±7.30 (P0), 185.75±6.80 (P1), 153.25±19.06 (P2), 167.75±17.72 (P3), 214.00±19.18 (P4). The concentration of uric acid gained (mg/dl) were 3.95±0.58 (P0), 6.70±4.23 (P1), 4.10±0.64 (P2), 4.32±1.27 (P3), 6.30±2.27 (P4). Whereas, the glucose concentration gained (mg/dl) were 231.00±20.19 (P0), 188.50±24.63 (P1), 223.50±32.19 (P2), 227.25±68.61 (P3), 236.50±28.43 (P4). Based on variance analysis it was concluded that the treatments gave a significant effect (P<0.05) on blood cholesterol concentration, but had no effect (P>0.05) on uric acid and blood glucose concentration. Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui status gizi sapi perah laktasi didasarkan pada konsentrasi NEFA (nonesterified Asam Lemak), albumin, kalsium, dan fosfor dalam plasma. Tiga puluh dua sapi perah kepala di periode menyusui kedua digunakan untuk up mengambil plasma darah. Uji t dan regresi sama digunakan untuk berbagai penentu dari konsentrasi. Hasil pengamatan yang berarti dan berbagai konsentrasi NEFA 0.17 mEq.L-1 dan 0,11-0,22 mEq.L-1, albumin 2.69 g% dan 2,51-2,87 g%. Kemudian, mean dan berbagai konsentrasi kalsium plasma 9.39 mg% dan 8,90-9,88 mg%, 8.60 dan 8,10-9,10 mg% dari konsentrasi fosfor plasma. Regresi sama berat plasma NEFA (Y) tubuh (X1), produksi susu (X2) adalah Y = 0,163 X1 + 0,215 X2 (R2 = 11,2%, P> 0,05). Regresi sama plasma albumin (Y), berat badan (X1), produksi susu (X2) adalah Y = 0,197 X1 + 0,006 X2 (R2 = 12,3%, P> 0,05). Regresi sama plasma kalsium (Y), berat badan (X1), produksi susu (X2) adalah Y = -0,099 X1 + 0,389 X2 (R2 = 11,9%, P> 0,05), plasma fosfor (Y), berat badan (X1 ), produksi susu (X2) adalah Y = 0.72 X1 + 0,394 X2 (R2 = 19,2%, P> 0,05). Oleh karena itu, cadangan energi (konsentrasi NEFA), kalsium dan fosfor dalam plasma yang paling persyaratan untuk peningkatan produksi susu. Kata kunci: NEFA, status gizi, laktasi, sapi perah, produksi susu

Abstract

The aim of this research were : (1) to know the impact of the news increase BBM price at Kendari Post Daily to the number of catches at Sodohoa Sub District Kendari City, (2) to know Kendari Post daily contents about increases BBM prices. Population of this research are  all fishermen citizen who subscribe and  reading Kendari Post Daily on January until December 2015 month publication are amount 22 people.The sample taked by census method. Data collected derived by community who reading Kendari Post Daily by comparing catch data before and after reporting increases BBM price. Content analysis variable is tabulated and analyzed by descriptive qualitative using categorization consist of  word, theme, content, frequency of the news, column and place of the news. Rwsult of this research showed that the impact of increases BBM price perceived by fishermen were  the number of catches before reporting increases BBM price are the high category. After reporting increases BBM price the number of catches is decrease. The news content about increases BBM price at Kendari Post Daily, word increases BBM price most of the easy to understand category, theme is the most interesting category, the news content very clear, space the news is medium category, frequency of the news is low category and space of news is in the middle categoryKeywords: Content Analysis, Impact, Increases BBM Price, The Number of Fishermen

Abstract

Pengembangan sistem pakan berbasis sumberdaya lokal menjadi pilar yang mendukung perkembangan produksi peternakan di Indonesia yang berkelanjutan, efisien dan kompetitif. Hasil sisa, hasil samping dan limbah berbagai jenis tanaman merupakan sumber bahan baku pakan alternatif yang potensial. Limbah pertanian seperti jerami banyak digunakan sebagai pakan ternak tetapi belum melalui teknologi pengolahan pakan, sedangkan limbah ternak berupa feses digunakan sebagai pupuk tanpa proses pengolahan serta urin hanya dibuang. Dengan demikian diperlukan konsep integrasi pertanian dan peternakan dalam rangka pelaksanaan zero waste farming. Program bina desa ini bertujuan untuk mendampingi masyarakat tani-ternak dalam pembuatan pakan ternak dan pupuk organik cair biokultur dan biourin menggunakan feses dan urin sapi dalam mewujudkan zero waste farming sistem. Penggunaan bahan baku limbah dan bahan baku lokal yang telah diolah terlebih dahulu menggunakan teknik pengolahan memadai serta analisis kandungan nutrien pakan, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan utilitas dari limbah itu sendiri dan dapat menjadi solusi program pemanfaatan limbah dan pengembangan pakan. Abstract

The goal of this study is to see how efficient agricultural extension workers were in communicating with farmers during the Covid-19 epidemic on lowland rice farming in Sulemandara Village, Pondidaha District, Konawe Regency, knowledge of farmers in lowland rice farming during the Covid-19 pandemic in Sulemandara Village, Pondidaha District, Konawe Regency and the relationship between the effectiveness of the communication between the extension worker and the knowledge of the farmer in lowland rice farming. From November to January 2022, this study was done in Sulemandara Village, Pondidaha District, Konawe Regency with a population of 128 people and a sample of 32 respondents. Sampling in this study used a simple random sampling technique. Data analysis in this study used quantitative descriptive data analysis method with the formula of similarity of meaning. Communication between agricultural extension staff and farmers was found to be inefficient, according to the findings, namely that there were differences in meaning in communication between extension workers and farmers.

Abstract

Kendari City as the provincial capital has the highest incidence of positive covid-19 cases compared to other districts / cities in Southeast Sulawesi, Until April 23, 2020 there were 17 positive patients with Covid-19 who were undergoing treatment. This has implications for decreasing consumption and people's income because they cannot carry out normal activities. The steps taken by the central and local governments to combat the Covid-19 pandemic are by carrying out social distancing or social restrictions by limiting distances between individuals and avoiding crowds. Another government policy is the implementation of work from home (WFH) or activities from home for some employees and school children. This condition adversely affects the economy of Kendari city. One of the solutions offered is raising quail by utilizing the house yard. Quail maintenance is quite easy, does not require a large area and the maintenance system can be completed in a minimalist manner. Quail products consist of eggs and meat. Quail meat is processed into rica-rica quail meat and eggs are processed into quail egg nest tofu. KKN-THEMATIC aims to provide insights and knowledge about processing and marketing of processed quail products to the public. The method used is a persuasive participatory method with direct extension activities and practices. The results that have been achieved in this KKN-TEMATIK activity are an increase in the knowledge and understanding of breeders and the community in developing their business sustainability by making processed quail products, aswell as marketing management of processed quail products.
