Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) telah membuka peluang untuk penerapan sistem rumah pintar (smart home) yang dapat meningkatkan kenyamanan, efisiensi energi, dan keamanan rumah. Namun, banyak sistem smart home yang ada saat ini masih mengandalkan pengoperasian fungsi tunggal dan terpisah, seperti pengaturan suhu atau pemantauan keamanan, yang mengurangi efisiensi dan kemudahan penggunaannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengembangkan sebuah sistem smart home berbasis IoT yang terintegrasi, dengan menggabungkan beberapa fungsi penting seperti deteksi kebocoran gas dan pengaturan kanopi otomatis, yang dapat meningkatkan kenyamanan dan keamanan secara menyeluruh. Sistem ini memanfaatkan sensor MQ-2 untuk mendeteksi kebocoran gas, serta sensor hujan dan sensor cahaya untuk mengendalikan posisi kanopi secara otomatis. Selain itu, sistem dilengkapi dengan tampilan informasi real-time melalui LCD yang memungkinkan pengguna untuk memantau kondisi rumah dengan mudah. Platform yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Arduino dengan perangkat lunak Arduino IDE, yang memungkinkan sistem dapat diprogram dan disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan pengguna. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem dapat beroperasi secara efektif dengan meminimalkan intervensi manual, sekaligus meningkatkan efisiensi energi dan keamanan rumah. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam menciptakan sistem rumah pintar yang lebih terjangkau, mudah diimplementasikan, dan dapat diakses oleh berbagai kalangan. The development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has opened opportunities for the implementation of smart home systems that can enhance comfort, energy efficiency, and home security. However, many existing smart home systems still rely on the operation of individual, separate functions, such as temperature control or security monitoring, which reduces efficiency and ease of use. This study aims to design and develop an integrated IoT-based smart home system by combining several key functions such as gas leak detection and automatic canopy control, which can improve overall comfort and security. The system uses an MQ-2 sensor to detect gas leaks, as well as rain and light sensors to automatically control the position of the canopy. Additionally, the system is equipped with real-time information display via an LCD, allowing users to easily monitor the condition of the home. The platform used in this study is Arduino with the Arduino IDE software, which enables the system to be programmed and customized according to user needs. The testing results show that the system can operate effectively with minimal manual intervention, while also improving energy efficiency and home security. This research contributes to the creation of a more affordable, easily implemented smart home system that is accessible to various communities.

Abstract

The ever-evolving information technology has a significant impact on many industries, one of which is micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Kurnia Laundry is an MSME in Ogan Ilir, still using a manual system in recording transactions, stock management, and customer service, which causes inefficiencies and operational delays. The main purpose of the research focuses on the development of a website-based Point of Sale (POS) system that can optimize Kurnia Laundry's business operations. This research adopts the Research and Development (R&D) method with a waterfall model approach, which includes the phases of analysis, design, implementation, system testing, and maintenance. The results of the study show that the POS system is able to increase the efficiency of transaction recording, speed up the service process, and provide transparent service information to customers. The implementation of this system also helps business owners monitor business performance in real time, manage customer data, and optimize stock management. Thus, the use of the website as a POS system has a significant impact on increasing the efficiency and competitiveness of laundry MSMEs.

Abstract

The development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has encouraged the creation of a more flexible and efficient intelligent surveillance system. This research aims to design and implement an ESP32-CAM-based surveillance car prototype capable of real-time visual monitoring via Wi-Fi connection. The system integrates an ESP32-CAM microcontroller, an L298N motor driver, and four DC motors, and is controlled through a specially developed Android application to set the direction of motion and receive live video displays from the camera. Test results show that the system has stable connectivity performance with an average delay of 0.88 seconds, motor control response of 0.48 seconds, and good quality video streaming with an average delay of 1.09 seconds. The effective operational range was recorded up to 30 meters with acceptable connection quality. The system shows potential as a cost-effective, portable, and easily accessible surveillance solution for applications in hard-to-reach or high-risk areas. This research opens up further development opportunities with the integration of artificial intelligence, additional sensors, as well as expansion of the communication range.Keywords: IoT; ESP32-CAM; Real-Time Surveillance; Surveillance RC Car; Video Streaming AbstrakPerkembangan teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) telah mendorong terciptanya sistem pengawasan cerdas yang lebih fleksibel dan efisien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan prototipe mobil pengawasan berbasis ESP32-CAM yang mampu melakukan pemantauan visual secara real-time melalui koneksi Wi-Fi. Sistem ini mengintegrasikan mikrokontroler ESP32-CAM, driver motor L298N, dan empat motor DC, serta dikendalikan melalui aplikasi Android yang dikembangkan khusus untuk mengatur arah gerak dan menerima tampilan video langsung dari kamera. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem memiliki performa konektivitas yang stabil dengan rata-rata delay 0,88 detik, respons kendali motor sebesar 0,48 detik, dan streaming video berkualitas baik dengan delay rata-rata 1,09 detik. Jangkauan operasional efektif tercatat hingga 30 Meter dengan kualitas koneksi yang masih dapat diterima. Sistem ini menunjukkan potensi sebagai solusi pengawasan yang hemat biaya, portabel, dan mudah diakses untuk aplikasi di area yang sulit dijangkau atau berisiko tinggi. Penelitian ini membuka peluang pengembangan lebih lanjut dengan integrasi kecerdasan buatan, sensor tambahan, serta perluasan jangkauan komunikasi.Kata kunci: IoT; ESP32-CAM; Pengawasan Real-Time; Mobil RC Pengintai; Streaming Video

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi informasi membawa dampak besar pada banyak bidang kehidupan, salah satunya transportasi. Proses pemesanan tiket travel yang sebelumnya dilakukan secara manual sering menimbulkan kendala seperti keterlambatan layanan, kesalahan pencatatan, dan keterbatasan akses informasi. ini bertujuan untuk melakukan perancangan dan mengembangkan Sistem Pemesanan Travel Antar Kota (Sungsang–Palembang) pada Terminal Haji Rohman Berbasis Website guna meningkatkan efisiensi, akurasi, dan kemudahan dalam proses pemesanan tiket. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D), serta menerapkan model System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) jenis Waterfall. Tahapan penelitian meliputi analisis kebutuhan, desain sistem, implementasi sistem, dan pengujian dengan metode black-box testing. Dari hasil pengujian diperoleh bahwa seluruh fitur utama, seperti login, registrasi pengguna, manajemen jadwal keberangkatan, pemesanan tiket, dan laporan transaksi, telah berfungsi sesuai dengan kebutuhan fungsional tanpa adanya kesalahan sistem. Sistem ini dinilai mampu meningkatkan efektivitas pelayanan, mempercepat proses pemesanan, serta mendukung transformasi digital pada layanan transportasi antar kota, khususnya di Terminal Haji Rohman. Ke depannya, sistem dapat dikembangkan lebih lanjut dengan penambahan fitur pembayaran online dan notifikasi otomatis agar layanan semakin optimal.

Abstract

This study aims to find out about Information Technology management at Muhammadiyah University of Palembang and to get right advice in managing Information Technology from the University level to the Study Program. Regarding benchmarks in Information Technology Governance use the Cobit 5 framework with the Evaluate, Direct and Monitor domains. Monitoring and evaluation was carried out using a questionnaire distributed to lecturers and employees at the Muhammadiyah University of Palembang and the researchers did observations on the management of higher education information technology governance. Based on the questionnaire result, the highest gap occurs in sub domain 4, which is 3.65 while the observation result towards the capability level is at level 3 with a value of 56.67%, the sub domain ensuring resource optimization has the highest capability value of 66.67%. Based on the data obtained using the EDM domain, the University of Muhamadiyah Palembang has to set Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (IK) so every five processes can run well to create good IT governance.

Abstract

Budidaya ikan merupakan salah satu sektor penting dalam mendukung ketahanan pangan dan peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat. Salah satu faktor yang sangat mempengaruhi keberhasilan budidaya ikan adalah kualitas air kolam. Pemantauan kualitas air secara manual memiliki beberapa keterbatasan, seperti tidak dapat dilakukan secara real-time dan membutuhkan waktu yang relatif lama. Perkembangan teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) memberikan solusi inovatif dalam sistem monitoring kualitas air yang memungkinkan pemantauan kondisi air secara otomatis dan jarak jauh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perkembangan teknologi IoT dalam sistem monitoring kualitas air pada budidaya ikan melalui pendekatan Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Kajian literatur dilakukan terhadap 22 artikel penelitian yang diperoleh dari berbagai sumber jurnal ilmiah. Analisis dilakukan dengan mengidentifikasi parameter kualitas air yang digunakan, jenis sensor, arsitektur sistem, serta kelebihan dan keterbatasan dari masing-masing penelitian. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar penelitian menggunakan sensor pH, suhu, dan kekeruhan yang terintegrasi dengan mikrokontroler seperti Arduino, ESP8266, dan ESP32. Sistem monitoring berbasis IoT memungkinkan pemantauan kondisi air secara real-time melalui platform web atau cloud. Namun demikian, sebagian besar penelitian masih berfokus pada fungsi monitoring dengan parameter yang terbatas serta belum sepenuhnya mengintegrasikan sistem kontrol otomatis. Oleh karena itu, pengembangan sistem monitoring kualitas air berbasis IoT yang lebih komprehensif masih diperlukan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pengelolaan budidaya ikan.

Abstract

This study aims to design and implement an automatic liquid soap dispenser based on an infrared (IR) sensor to Hand hygiene is an important factor in preventing the spread of disease, especially those caused by bacteria and viruses. The use of conventional liquid soap dispensers still requires physical contact, thus potentially causing cross-contamination. Therefore, this study aims to design and build an automatic liquid soap dispenser based on infrared (IR) sensors that can work without contact. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D), which includes the stages of needs analysis, system design, prototyping, and tool testing. This tool uses an infrared sensor to detect the presence of hands, Arduino Uno as the main controller, and a TDR Delay module to set the active duration of the liquid soap pump. When a hand is detected by the infrared sensor, the signal will be processed by the Arduino Uno to activate the delay module, then the DC pump will turn on for a predetermined duration so that liquid soap is dispensed automatically. After the set time is reached, the pump will automatically turn off and the system will return to standby mode. The test results show that the automatic liquid soap dispenser can work well and responsively in detecting hands and dispensing liquid soap consistently according to the set duration. This system is able to reduce direct physical contact, improve hygiene, and has a simple design, is energy efficient, and is easy to implement.

Abstract

The early detection of plant leaf diseases is essential for the enhancement of crop productivity and the promotion of sustainable agricultural practices. While deep learning models have been shown to be achieve remarkable success in the recognition of plant disease, conventional classifiers commonly rely on iterative gradient-based optimization, resulting in increased training complexity. This present study investigates a hybrid framework for the classification of chili leaf disease that combines DenseNet201-based deep feature extraction with a Broad Learning System (BLS) classifier. The DenseNet201 model is employed to generate discriminative feature representations, whereas the BLS approach employs a closed-form ridge regression solution for classification. The present study involved experiments conducted by means of the publicly available Chili Plant Leaf Disease Dataset containing 1,856 original images from six different disease categories. To prevent data leakage, the dataset was initially partitioned into training, validation, and test subsets at the original-image level, with data augmentation being applied exclusively to the training set, thereby increasing it to 9,093 images. The proposed DenseNet201+BLS framework achieved a test accuracy of 99.28% and a macro F1-score of 99.00%. Furthermore, the performance of the proposed model was compared with that of Softmax, Logistic Regression, Random Forest, Multilayer Perceptron, and Support Vector Machine (SVM) classifiers using identical DenseNet201 feature representations. Among the evaluated classifiers, SVM demonstrated the highest level of accuracy (99.64%), whereas BLS exhibited a favorable balance between predictive performance and computational efficiency, requiring less than one second for training while outperforming Softmax, Logistic Regression, and Random Forest. Grad-CAM visualizations further demonstrated that the extracted deep features focus on disease-relevant regions such as lesions, discoloration patterns, and abnormal leaf structures. The findings indicate that the integration of DenseNet201 feature extraction with a Broad Learning System offers a competitive and computationally efficient alternative for the automated classification of chili leaf disease. The proposed framework facilitates accurate disease recognition with substantially reduced training costs, making it a promising solution for resource-efficient agricultural monitoring and decision-support applications.
