Abstract

Exports play a strategic role in supporting the country's revenue. The oil and gas sector, as one of Indonesia's primary natural resources, contributes significantly to national economic growth. Indonesia's oil and gas production currently exhibits an unstable trend, influenced by the dynamics of global prices and demand. This research aims to forecast Indonesia's oil and gas export volume in 2025 using the Chebyshev extrapolation method. The Chebyshev extrapolation method is chosen due to its ability to produce more accurate predictions for data outside the available time range. The data used includes monthly export volumes of the oil and gas sector from 2019 to 2024. In the analysis, a fourth-degree Chebyshev polynomial is applied to project future export trends. The Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) for the Chebyshev extrapolation model is 12,10%. The forecasting results indicate an increase in monthly oil and gas exports in 2025, with the lowest value recorded in January at 1.373,70 and the peak export in December at 1.805,33. Overall, this prediction indicates the stability of oil and gas export volumes with a tendency towards an increasing trend compared to the previous year.

Abstract

The Linear Least Square Approximation method is applied to predict rice prices in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province. The price of rice plays a strategic role in the Indonesian economy as it is the basic need of most people, and its fluctuations have a significant impact on purchasing power and economic stability. Various factors influence changes in rice prices, such as production volume, climate conditions, and the possibility of price manipulation by certain parties. In this analysis, the Least Square Approximation method was chosen because it is able to capture trend patterns based on historical data from 2015-2022 obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), thus helping to project future prices. The prediction results show that rice prices in the period tend to be stable in the range of IDR 8,900 to IDR 9,800 per kilogram. The accuracy of the model was evaluated using Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE), which resulted in an error of 2.59%, indicating that the method is effective and reliable enough to provide accurate rice price predictions.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder characterized by elevated blood glucose levels, known as hyperglycemia. The objective of this study is to develop a mathematical model of diabetes mellitus. The model will be analyzed in terms of its equilibrium points using the Adam-Bashforth Moulton numerical method. The numerical method that used is a multistep method. The predictor step employs the Runge-Kutta method, while the corrector step uses the Adam-Bashforth Moulton method. The mathematical model of diabetes mellitus is categorized into two classes: uncomplicated diabetes mellitus and complicated diabetes mellitus. The resulting model identifies two equilibrium points: the endemic equilibrium point (complicated) and the disease-free equilibrium point (uncomplicated). The eigenvalues of these equilibrium points are positive real numbers and negative real numbers. Therefore, the stability of the system is found to be unstable and asymptotically stable, indicating that the population of individuals with uncomplicated diabetes mellitus will continue to rise, whereas the population with complications will not increase significantly over time.

Abstract

The Petviashvili method is a numerical method for obtaining fundamental solitary wave solutions of stationary scalar nonlinear wave equations with power-law nonlinearity: , where is a positive definite and self-adjoint operator and is constant. Due to the case being a system of solitary nonlinear wave equations, we generalize the Petviashvili method. We apply this generalized method for a two-component system of Nonlinear Schr dinger Equations (NLSE) for 2-D.

Abstract

This study focuses on forecasting the average air temperature in the city of Mataram by applying the Least Square method to determine data patterns based on historical data. The data used includes the average air temperature from 2019 to 2023, obtained from the BPS Mataram City. Based on the pattern used, the resulting forecasting model for the average air temperature is Ŷ = 27.44 - 0.143X. The forecasted results indicate a gradual decrease in the average air temperature from 2024 to 2030 in Mataram. This trend is reflected by the change in the forecasted average air temperature value in the model, with a rate of -0.143. The model's accuracy is demonstrated by a Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) of 3.22%, indicating a very good level of accuracy in forecasting the average air temperature for the predicted years. This research is expected to provide useful information for the community and relevant stakeholders in Mataram to anticipate temperature changes and to plan for better climate adaptation policies in the future.
