Abstract

Composite materials (GRE pipe) had been applied in various industries. These kind application are based on the advantages of composite properties, that are lightweight, high corrosion resistance and low cost. In order to make a lightweight and strong materials, some materials that light and stiff had been widely used, lie fiber glass, epoxy and the other. These materials (fiber glass and epoxy) are synthetic and non-biodegradable, but give some advantages in composite to make composite more stiff, light and strong. Mechanical properties of fiber glass composites had been doing based on theory through modeling. Theoretical results obtained showed that maximum stress and shear modulus value of GRE pipe are less than each components (glass fiber and epoxy resin). Each value of maximum stress and shear modulus are 584,57 MPa and 46,15 MPa.

Abstract

Concern for the environment becomes a supporting factor in biocomposite research. Composite materials that previously used synthetic materials need to be swiftly transitioned into biocomposite materials, where one or all of its constituent materials originate from nature, making it more environmentally friendly and capable of being produced in large and sustainable quantities. However, in its application, biocomposite manufacturers still encounter several problems, especially in the field of mechanical strength. When compared to conventional composite materials, the mechanical strength of biocomposites is still lower. One effort that can be made to improve the mechanical strength of biocomposites is by treating natural fibers that will be used as reinforcement in the biocomposite with chemical processes. One easy and effective chemical treatment to apply is alkalinization using NaOH. This article will discuss a number of theories and research results regarding the influence of NaOH on the mechanical characteristics, specifically tensile strength, of natural fiber-reinforced biocomposites. The analysis process is carried out by gathering several reference sources, including books, scientific articles, and nationally and internationally recognized proceedings. All information from reference sources containing information about biocomposites, NaOH, natural fibers, and tensile strength is analyzed and rewritten in the form of an article.

Abstract

Trembesi (Samanea saman) plays an important role in the Djawatan forest area. The presence of Djawatan forest in the city adds vital value to trembesi, such as maintaining ecosystem stability, soil stability, water supply stability, O2 supply, and CO2 absorption. This study aims to determine the density of trembesi trees in the Djawatan forest area. The presence of trembesi in the Djawatan forest is crucial for the numerous flora and fauna sheltered beneath it. Therefore, understanding the distribution pattern of trembesi in the Djawatan forest area is essential to ascertain environmental influences on the growth of trembesi. The research method used in this study was descriptive qualitative through observation and interviews. Trembesi distribution in this study was observed in four different zones: waterfront, rice field edge, central Djawatan forest, and settlement edge. Based on the research results, it is known that trembesi distribution is influenced by the surrounding environmental conditions. This is evidenced by data showing that the highest average density of trembesi is found in the central Djawatan forest area, which is 0.50%.

Abstract

Learning innovation is one of the main keys in improving the quality of education in the digital era. This research aims to examine the utilization of Merdeka Mengajar platform by teachers as an innovative effort in the learning process in the classroom. This platform is designed to give teachers the freedom to design and implement learning that is more creative, adaptive, and in accordance with student needs. Through a descriptive qualitative approach, this study analyzes how the role of the Merdeka Mengajar Platform can assist teachers in supporting the implementation of the independent curriculum and find out how teachers use the features in the platform to create a more interactive and student-centered learning atmosphere. The results show that Merdeka Mengajar Platform helps teachers design more varied learning methods, provide wider access to materials, and increase student involvement in the learning process. In addition, this platform also supports collaboration between teachers and the continuous development of teacher professionalism. Thus, the use of Merdeka Mengajar has the potential to be an innovative solution in overcoming learning challenges in the digital era, especially in the context of independent and comprehensive learning.

Abstract

Environmental concerns have influenced a number of researchers to develop nature-based composite materials. These composite materials are composed of fibers and matrix, which are partially or completely derived from nature. Natural fibers are widely applied to reduce the utilization of synthetic fibers. However, natural fibers have hydrophilic properties that make it difficult to interact with the matrix, which tends to be hydrophobic. This condition results in the weak mechanical strength of natural fiber-reinforced composite materials. It is necessary to modify the surface of natural fibers, so that the interaction between natural fibers and the matrix can be improved, so that the resulting mechanical strength also increases. A number of analyses on natural fiber surface modification are discussed in this article to discuss the effect of each natural fiber surface modification method, as well as its characteristics when applied as reinforcement in composite materials. The analysis in this article includes several modification methods such as: alkalization, silane, and acetylation, as well as composite mechanical characteristics such as: tensile strength and elastic modulus. The analysis process is carried out by collecting several reference sources from books, and scientific articles accredited by national or international journals. Among the three methods analyzed, alkalization is the most widely applied method for natural fiber surface modification.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memanfaatkan laboratorium virtual Physic Education and Technology (PhET) simulation sebagai media pembelajaran sebagai salah satu solusi inovatif yang dapat dilakukan dalam upaya  meningkatkan pemahaman konsep fisika mahasiswa. PhET menyediakan simulasi virtual interaktif yang dapat digunakan secara daring maupun luring, sehingga cocok untuk lingkungan dengan keterbatasan akses internet dan juga keterbatasan infrastruktur seperti fasilitas laboratorium. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode eksperimen berbentuk one group pretest-posttest design. Sampel penelitian yaitu mahasiswa Program studi Pendidikan IPA Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025  sebanyak 14 orang. Pengambilan data dilakukan dua kali yaitu sebelum melakukan treatment (pretest) dan sesudah melakukan treatment (posttest), kemudian untuk mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman konsep fisika mahasiswa dilakukan uji N-gain. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan hasil belajar mahasiswa memperoleh kriteria tinggi dengan skor N-gain sebesar 0,732. Oleh karena itu hasil studi menyatakan bahwa penggunaan laboratorium virtual PhET simulation sebagai media pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep fisika mahasiswa.

Abstract

Studi berbasis review ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi efektivitas modifikasi permukaan serat rami dalam meningkatkan kinerja biokomposit berbasis PLA. Metode penelitian melibatkan analisis komprehensif terhadap artikel-artikel dari jurnal bertaraf internasional, yang dikumpulkan dari tahun 2015 hingga 2024. Studi analisis dilakukan terhadap artikel yang berfokus pada modifikasi permukaan serat rami, dan aplikasi serat rami hasil modifikasi sebagai penguat biokomposit PLA. Hasil studi terhadap beberapa artikel menunjukkan bahwa alkalisasi menggunakan NaOH diidentifikasi sebagai metode yang paling efektif, karena mampu meningkatkan kekasaran permukaan serat, memperkuat interaksi serat-matriks, dan meningkatkan kristalinitas. Perlakuan lain, seperti aplikasi silane, thermal annealing, dan coupling agent, juga memberikan kontribusi pada ikatan yang lebih baik serta peningkatan sifat mekanik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi berbagai perlakuan permukaan dapat mengoptimalkan sifat biokomposit rami/PLA, menjadikannya pilihan yang cukup baik untuk aplikasi material berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital menghadirkan tantangan sekaligus peluang bagi guru untuk meningkatkan kreativitas dalam pembelajaran. Artikel ini bertujuan menganalisis bagaimana guru dapat menjaga profesionalisme dan kreatifitas di era digital, dengan mematuhi kode etik pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi literatur, memanfaatkan artikel ilmiah, jurnal terakreditasi, dan dokumen kebijakan pendidikan untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan antara kreativitas, etika, dan pemanfaatan teknologi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun era digital memungkinkan inovasi dalam pembelajaran, tantangan terkait etika, seperti privasi siswa dan penggunaan media sosial, tetap signifikan. Kompetensi digital guru menjadi kunci dalam menjaga keseimbangan antara inovasi dan profesionalisme. Keterbatasan penelitian terletak pada pendekatan non-empiris, sehingga rekomendasi untuk penelitian selanjutnya meliputi studi empiris terhadap implementasi prinsip etika dalam pembelajaran digital. Artikel ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam mendukung pengembangan kebijakan dan pelatihan etika digital bagi guru.

Abstract

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and educational games in education, particularly in ecology, has been the focus of this study to improve students' analytical skills on environmental issues. This study aims to explore the impact of lesson study based on AI and educational games on critical thinking and problem solving skills. The method used was qualitative with a case study approach, involving 30 grade X students of MA Al-Amiriyyah, as well as key informants such as principals, teachers, and students. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis, then analyzed interpretatively. The results showed that the combination of AI and educational games significantly improved student engagement, understanding of ecological concepts, and analytical skills, especially for students who actively participated. AI enables personalization of learning, while educational games create interactive experiences that encourage critical thinking. Observations revealed that technology-based activities, such as group discussions and educational games, were more effective in improving understanding than conventional methods. Student learning outcomes also improved, with higher post-test scores, especially for students who initially had low scores. However, challenges such as over-reliance on technology and facility gaps need to be addressed. Overall, this study highlights.

Abstract

Stunting is still a serious health problem in Barurejo Village, Banyuwangi, with the main causative factors being a lack of parental understanding of nutrition, non-optimal parenting, and non-educative use of gadgets. This community service activity aims to increase community awareness through interactive counseling, training in making nutritious complementary food, and community-based mentoring. The implementation methods include parenting education, the formation of a Village Stunting Working Group (Pokja), and the “Healthy Yard” initiative for family food security. The results showed a significant increase in parents' understanding (85%) of stunting, the formation of 15 trained cadres, and the optimization of gadgets as a medium for health education. This activity also encouraged the village government's commitment to allocate special funds for stunting prevention programs. Long-term impacts include a technology-based monitoring system through the “Sehat Barurejo” application and expansion of the intervention model to neighboring villages. This program proves that a community-based participatory approach is effective in reducing the risk of stunting in a sustainable manner.
