Abstract

Molecular sieve (MS) or known as molecular sieve is one of the products that is of concern to researchers today because it has the ability to filter gas or liquid more selectively. Molecular sieve consists of two large groups, namely natural molecular sieve and synthesized molecular sieve. Synthesized molecular sieve is usually processed from zeolite or kaolin rock because it contains high silica and alumina elements. Pyropillite has similarities with zeolite or kaolin where the alumina and silica content is quite high, so pyropillite rocks have the potential to be used as a basic material for making molecular sieve. In this study, pyropillite rock was taken from Sumbermanjing area, South Malang. MS synthesis was carried out by NaOH leaching method. The results obtained from the XRF test for the Al/Si ratio in MS10, MS15, and MS20 were 2.4, 2.2, and 2.3, respectively. XRD results show the formation of 3 phases in the synthesis of MS10 and MS15, namely sodalite phase with cubic crystal system, quartz phase with hexagonal crystal system, and diaspore phase with orthorhombic crystal system, while in MS20 a pure phase is formed, namely sodalite phase. The pore sizes of the BET test results produced on MS10, MS15, and MS20 are 30Å (mesopores), 542 Å (macropores), and 550 Å (macropores), respectively, while the resulting surface areas are 0.350 m2/g, 2.869 m2/g, and 1.176 m2/g. The presence of Si-O-Si bending, Si-O-Al, Si-O, Si-O normal to the plane stretching, Inner Surface Al-OH deformation, SiO-Si siloxine, H-O-H, -OH, C-H stretching, H-O-H bending water groups were determined using FTIR characterization.

Abstract

Environmental pollution has emerged as a pressing global issue necessitating urgent attention. Environmental education stands out as a pivotal approach to enhance public awareness regarding the significance of environmental conservation. Learning materials addressing environmental pollution play a crucial role within environmental education frameworks. This article aims to critically analyze recent research concerning environmental pollution learning materials. Employing a literature review methodology, this study examines recent literature pertinent to environmental pollution learning materials. The analysis reveals that effective environmental pollution learning materials should consider the social, cultural, and environmental contexts of the students. Furthermore, these materials should be presented in an engaging and interactive manner to facilitate better comprehension and retention among students. This research provides recommendations for the development of more effective and relevant environmental pollution learning materials tailored to the needs of students. It is anticipated that this study will make a positive contribution to the advancement of environmental education and efforts towards fostering a better environment.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the learning characteristics of environmental pollution and damage material in science subjects. This research uses literature analysis to determine the characteristics of environmental pollution and damage at home and abroad, in terms of media and assessments to assess students' understanding of environmental pollution and damage material in learning. The literature studied comes from national and international journals covering the years 2014 to 2023. This research produces the conclusion of a literature review for empowering innovation in teaching materials and the form of assessment used on materials must be based on the characteristics of material pollution and environmental damage.

Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum is an education reform designed to address inequalities in the quality of education in Indonesia. It emphasizes flexible, contextual and student-centered learning, with a focus on character development, 21st century skills and technology integration. Teachers act as facilitators who assist students to be active and independent. Although it provides room for innovation, its implementation still faces challenges, especially in 3T areas. The success of Merdeka Curriculum depends heavily on the synergy between the government, schools, teachers, parents, and communities as well as continuous evaluation and training, and to improve our interests and talents using P5 subjects. The research method used is qualitative. The research objective is to find out the implementation of the independent curriculum to increase students' interests and talents with the P5 program. The results of the research on the Implementation of the Independent Curriculum at SMA Negeri 1 Muncar show positive progress in creating active, independent, and contextualized learning. Through the collaboration of teachers, students, and school management, as well as the support of the P5 program, this curriculum encourages the development of students' character and creativity. Despite facing challenges such as limited facilities and adaptation of learning culture, strategic efforts such as training, regular reflection, and participatory leadership are the keys to success in implementing this curriculum in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of expository learning in encouraging student learning motivation in Fiqh subjects. The background of this study is the low motivation of students to learn, which has the potential to hinder their understanding of Fiqh material. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with observation, interview, and documentation techniques to collect data from students and Fiqh teachers. The results showed a significant change in students' learning motivation after the application of the expository method. Students became more active, enthusiastic, and showed increased participation in learning Fiqh. The systematic and clear application of the expository method proved effective in fostering students' interest and enthusiasm for learning. This study recommends the use of the expository method as one of the effective strategies to increase Fiqh learning motivation.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to examine the possible causes of student error in explaining various physical phenomena, mainly due to lack of ability in understanding the physics concept. Unlike the misconception theory, resource theorists believe that studenterrors are more due to their incomplete understanding less frequently observed by researchers, especially in Indonesia. An in-depth study of the causes of student error is very important to be used as a reference as a design of quality learning. In this article will examine students difficulties in understanding the force conceptaccording to the perspective of resource theory, as well as learning alternatives to reduce errors.

Abstract

Improvements in student learning outcomes are highly dependent on the learning strategies used by teachers in the classroom. Conventional, teacher-centered learning methods often result in students being less active and having difficulty understanding the material, especially in biology, which contains many abstract concepts. One solution to overcome this is to combine mind mapping and the Snowball Throwing learning model. Mind mapping helps students summarize and organize information visually, thereby facilitating concept understanding. Meanwhile, Snowball Throwing encourages students to actively participate through question and answer sessions and enjoyable group discussions. The research method used was a quasi-experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of mind mapping with the Snowball Throwing learning model on biology learning outcomes in the movement system material at Taruna Bhayangkara 2 Public High School. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of mind mapping with the Snowball Throwing learning model has a positive and significant effect on students' biology learning outcomes in the movement system material.
