Abstract

Batok kelapa memiliki material paling keras dan ciri khas seperti warna coklat alami dan guratan khas pada permukaannya sehingga berpotensi dijadikan sebagai bahan utama produk kerajinan seperti cinderamata miniatur sandeq. Namun, potensi tersebut belum mampu diolah sehingga batok kelapa masih menjadi limbah. Sasaran dalam PKM ini adalah masyarakat di Desa Leppangan, Kecamatan Sendana, Kabupaten Majene, Sulawesi Barat. Tujuan dari kegiatan PKM ini adalah meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat terkait proses pembuatan dan pengolahan batok kelapa sebagai bahan kerajinan miniatur sandeq dan meningkatkan keahlian masyarakat dalam membuat cinderamata miniatur sandeq dari limbah batok kelapa. Metode diskusi, tanya jawab dan demonstrasi proses pembuatan digunakan pada saat pemberian materi, kemudian mitra mempraktikkan secara langsung pembuatan cinderamata miniatur sandeq dari limbah batok kelapa. Diharapkan dari kegiatan PKM ini mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kreativitas masyarakat dalam membuat produk kerajinan cinderamata miniatur sandeq dari limbah batok kelapa. Berdasarkan hasil pelatihan maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa 1) mitra dapat memahami pemanfaatan batok kelapa sebagai bahan kerajinan, dan 2) mitra mahir membuat membuat cinderamata miniatur sandeq dari limbah batok kelapa.

Abstract

 Abstrak. Pelatihan dan pendampingan dalam bidang strategi pemasaran produk kewirausahaan merupakan salah satu upaya konkret dalam meningkatkan kapasitas pelaku usaha kecil dan menengah (UKM) agar mampu bersaing di tengah tantangan pasar yang semakin kompleks. Sasaran dalam PKM ini adalah masyarakat yang berusia 20 tahun keatas dalam hal ini sebagai wirausaha pemula. Tujuan dari kegiatan PKM ini adalah untuk menggambarkan kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan yang dilakukan kepada para pelaku usaha pemula, termasuk metode yang digunakan, materi yang disampaikan, serta hasil dan dampaknya terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemasaran mitra. Diharapkan dari kegiatan PKM ini mampu meningkatkan pemahaman pelaku usaha mengenai konsep dasar pemasaran dan pentingnya strategi pemasaran, serta memiliki keterampilan praktis dalam menyusun strategi pemasaran yang sesuai dengan karakter produk dan sasaran pasar. Berdasarkan hasil pelatihan dapat disimpulkan bahwa mitra sudah dapat memasarkan hasil produk mereka ke masyarakat dengan memanfaatkan media sosial seperti instagram, facebook, dan whatsapp. Kata Kunci: strategi pemasaran, kewirausahaan, aplikasi, media sosial

Abstract

Kota Makassar, sebagai salah satu kota metropolitan di Indonesia Timur, mengalami perkembangan pesat dalam beberapa dekade terakhir, salah satunya adalah Koridor Jalan Sulawesi. Koridor ini memiliki sejarah panjang yang kaya dengan arsitektur yang beragam, dan menjadi pusat aktivitas sosial masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi elemen-elemen kota di koridor Jalan Sulawesi berdasarkan teori citra kota Kevin Lynch. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini menganalisis bagaimana elemen-elemen seperti paths, nodes, districts, landmarks, dan edges membentuk citra Jalan Sulawesi. Penelitian ini menganalisis bagaimana elemen-elemen tersebut membentuk persepsi visual dan identitas kota. Observasi dilakukan di kawasan pusat kota Makassar dengan menggunakan metode walk-through audit. Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang struktur spasial kota dan memberikan masukan bagi perencanaan kota yang lebih berkelanjutan. Dalam pentlitian ini sudah teridentifikasi elemen-elemen citra kota apa saja yang ada di koridor Sulawesi, dan juga bagaiaman rekomendasi yang dapat diterapkan agar elemen citra kota ini dapat benar-benar menggambarkan kegiatan fisik dan sosial di sepanjang Kawasan koridor jalan. Makassar City, one of the metropolitan cities in Eastern Indonesia, has experienced rapid development in recent decades. One of them is Jalan Sulawesi. This corridor has a long and rich history, and diverse architecture, and is the center of the community's social activities. This study aims to identify the elements of the city on Jalan Sulawesi is based on Kevin Lynch's city image theory. Using a qualitative approach, this study analyzes how elements such as paths, nodes, districts, landmarks, and edges shape the image of Jalan Sulawesi. This study analyzes how these elements shape the visual perception and identity of the city. Observations were conducted in the downtown area of Makassar using the walk-through audit method. The study results are expected to provide a better understanding of the city's spatial structure and provide input for more sustainable city planning. This study has identified the elements of the city image in the Sulawesi corridor and made recommendations for how to apply them so that these city image elements can truly describe physical and social activities along the road corridor area

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji kebutuhan kapasitas dermaga pelabuhan penyeberangan di Pelabuhan Pomako, Papua dengan mempertimbangkan perubahan pola penyeberangan. Permasalahan utama adalah ketidakseimbangan antara kapasitas kapal dan fluktuasi permintaan penumpang serta kendaraan, yang berdampak pada operasional pelabuan. Metode yang digunakan adalah proyeksi ekonometrik berbasis analisis regresi menggunakan data time-series pada rentang tahun 2017–2021, yang mengaitkan jumlah pengguna pelabuhan, baik itu jumlah penumpang, motor serta angkutan ringan dan berat dengan variabel ekonomi dan demografi seperti PDRB dan jumlah penduduk. Hasil proyeksi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan kebutuhan kapasitas dermaga seiring dengan pertumbuhan ekonomi dan populasi, dengan proyeksi peningkatan jumlah penumpang hingga 36,6% dan kendaraan angkutan ringan dan berat masing-masing hingga 57,7% dan 35,5% pada tahun 2030. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan kapasitas dermaga saat ini perlu ditingkatkan untuk mengakomodasi lonjakan permintaan dan mengoptimalkan pelayanan pelabuhan agar efisien dan berkelanjutan. Rekomendasi ini penting untuk mendukung kelancaran mobilitas dan distribusi barang di wilayah Papua. This study examines the dock capacity requirements at Pomako Ferry ports, considering changing crossing patterns. The primary issue is the imbalance between vessel capacity and the fluctuating demand for passengers and vehicles, which impacts port operations. The method used is an econometric projection based on regression analysis using time-series data from 2017 to 2021, linking the number of port users—including passengers, motorcycles, and light and heavy vehicles—with economic and demographic variables such as GRDP and population. The projection results indicate a significant increase in dock capacity needs in line with economic and population growth, with passenger numbers expected to rise by 36.6%, and light and heavy vehicle transport by 57.7% and 35.5%, respectively, by 2030. The study concludes that the current dock capacity must be enhanced to accommodate demand surges and optimize port services for efficiency and sustainability. These recommendations are crucial to support smooth mobility and goods distribution in the Papua region.

Abstract

Concrete is a composite material consisting of two main components namely aggregate and cement mortar as a binder. Concrete has high compressive strength but weak tensile strength. The addition of fiber in concrete can improve ductile behavior before collapse, inhibit the growth of crack expansion and increase durability. This study aims to examine the effect of fiber content on the mechanical properties of fiber concrete. The fibers used were ssteel fibers with hooked end, and l/d ratio = 67,7 mm with normal concrete quality f’c = 25 MPa. The percentage of fiber content used in this study was 0%, 0,1%, 0,2%, 0,3%, 0,5%, 0,75%, 1%, 1,5% and 2%. The results showed that the addition of fiber in concrete was able to increase the split tensile strength by 7 – 117%. Fiber concrete has higher ductility than normal concrete. This is indicated by the high deflection of fiber concrete compared to the deflection of normal concrete under load.

Abstract

The construction of substations is one of the most crucial electrical projects in the development of infrastructure and economic growth, to ensure a stable, reliable, and equitable supply of electricity. Electrical construction projects inherently present significant occupational safety and accident risks, ranging from exposure to high voltage to incidents involving heavy equipment. In Indonesia, the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Management System known as SMK3 is mandated by Government Regulation (PP) No. 50 of 2012, and serves as the national framework for mitigating these dangers. The goal for implementing this system is to prevent and minimize human and financial losses, including lost work hours and declining productivity, thereby supporting more effective and efficient operational performance. In this study, the implementation of SMK3 on the 150 kV Raha Substation project was evaluated using a descriptive qualitative method with employing data collection instruments that included interviews, field observations, and a checklist of questions based on the audit criteria elements outlined in applicable regulations. The implementation of SMK3, based on 166 audit criteria in the Raha 150 kV Substation construction project, as per PP No. 50 of 2012, achieved a compliance rate of 92.17% (153 criteria compliant and 13 criteria non-compliant), categorized as satisfactory category. From the analysis of respondent interviews and field observations, it was found that the main factors causing obstacles to the optimal implementation of OSH in general are low employee understanding, budget constraints, lack of standardization among subcontractors, and disparities in employee competencies.

Abstract

Rapid urbanization and industrialization in the modern world have led to increased urban pollution. Road traffic is considered a major source of air and noise pollution, negatively impacting the environment and human health. Roadside green infrastructure, also known as green belts, has the potential to reduce air pollution and noise from traffic by increasing the distribution of plants that effectively absorb pollutants. Vegetation along roads, in addition to acting as a noise barrier, also plays a role in controlling urban air pollution. Studies show that plants can reduce air pollutant content through natural absorption and filtration processes. Meanwhile, noise reduction by vegetation is influenced by the type of vegetation, the level of vegetation density, and the planting combination. The type of vegetation is related to the thickness and flexibility of the leaves. The plant with the highest dust absorption capacity is the Mango Tree (Mangifera indica) at 0.531 g/m2 . Then the second highest is the Saga Tree (Adenanthera pavonina ) at 0.224 g/ m2 . Meanwhile, the Kaya Tree (Khaya anthotheca) has the lowest dust absorption capacity, namely 0.212 g/m 2 . Land with vegetation is more effective in reducing noise compared to land without vegetation. The greater the distance from the noise source, the higher the level of noise reduction, with a distance of 10 m being set as the minimum limit for green belts.

Abstract

This Empowerment Program for Assisted Villages aims to develop an environmentally friendly red onion production center. The environmentally friendly technologies used include the application of plant-based biopesticides, enhanced organic liquid fertilizers, and organic fungicides. The activities were carried out through several stages, namely: (1) program socialization, (2) training, (3) technology implementation, (4) mentoring and evaluation, and (5) program sustainability stages. The sustainability of this program involves providing in-kind assistance to farmer groups. Evaluation is carried out by administering pre-tests and post-tests to the targeted farmer groups. The program's target farmer groups are the Anugerah farmer group (16.5 Ha) and the Passamuturukang farmer group (10.5 Ha).The results of this program implementation show that: (a) red onion productivity significantly; (b) the managerial ability of the farmer groups in managing red onion businesses increased; (c) the revenue of the farmer groups increased; (d) the knowledge of the farmer groups on seedling and red onion cultivation increased; and (e) the financial management understanding of the farmer groups increase. Based on these results, it can be concluded that this program successfully improved the farmers' capacity and red onion production through the implementation of environmentally friendly technology.

Abstract

The high number of work accidents indicates that the implementation of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) is still not optimal, particularly in the construction industry. Vocational schools (SMK) can foster awareness from an early age through education and training. Students in general are not aware of the potential for workplace accidents yet. K3 education for students from an early age can help provide a beneficial understanding and foster attitudes and habits to apply K3 in their future work environments. The purpose of this program is to provide understanding and basic knowledge of construction K3 to students of SMKN 4 Gowa. The method used to educate students through this K3 learning is lectures and socialization, as well as evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests. Overall, the results show that this K3 education activity helps students in the Building Modeling and Information Design program at SMKN 4 Gowa understand all the topics that were talked about. These include understanding K3 and the Zero Accident goal, the importance of construction K3, potential hazards in construction, methods of hazard identification and risk assessment, risk control, recognizing personal protective equipment, symbols and signs, and learning about work accidents that happen in Indonesia.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berupa pelatihan kewirausahaan kreatif di era Industri 5.0 dilaksanakan bagi siswa/i SMKN 1 Makassar sebagai upaya meningkatkan literasi dan keterampilan dasar kewirausahaan generasi muda. Pelatihan ini dirancang melalui tiga tahap, yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, serta monitoring dan evaluasi. Metode yang digunakan mencakup penyampaian materi dan diskusi partisipatif untuk mendorong interaksi aktif peserta. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada aspek pemahaman konsep kewirausahaan serta motivasi berwirausaha, sementara indikator yang sebelumnya rendah seperti manajemen keuangan dan implementasi usaha juga mengalami perbaikan meskipun masih pada kategori sedang. Sementara itu, kemampuan digital siswa yang sejak awal sudah relatif tinggi hanya menunjukkan peningkatan kecil. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pelatihan berbasis partisipatif efektif dalam membangun semangat wirausaha di kalangan generasi muda, sekaligus mempersiapkan mereka menghadapi tantangan bisnis digital dan dinamika industri 5.0.
