Abstract

Perkembangan wilayah dan kota di Indonesia terus meningkat sejalan dengan pertumbuhan transportasi sehingga menambah beban lalu lintas. Hal ini berimplikasi terhadap kerusakan perkerasan jalan. Penelitian terkait dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kinerja perkerasan jalan, salah satunya penggunaan material alternatif, yaitu pasir silika. Diharapkan pasir silika mampu meningkatkan kinerja dan ketahanan deformasi campuran AC-WC. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh variasi pasir silika pada campuran AC-WC terhadap nilai poisson ratio dan tingkat ketahanan deformasi campuran. Pengujian dilakukan dengan alat uji Indirect Tensile Strength dan alat uji Wheel Tracking Machine. Dari hasil pengujian diperoleh nilai kuat tarik, poisson ratio, stabilitas dinamis, dan laju deformasi campuran ditunjukkan pada masing-masing variasi pasir silika dengan campuran KAO 5,8%, KAO Interval 4,8%, dan KAO Interval 6,8%. Nilai kuat tarik dan poisson ratio tertinggi ditunjukkan pada campuran KAO 5,8% dengan pasir silika 15% sebesar 83960,15 Kpa dan 0,721. Campuran dengan ketahanan deformasi terbaik ditunjukkan pada campuran pasir silika 15% dengan KAO 5,8%, dengan stabilitas dinamis (DS) tertinggi sebesar 750 lintasan/mm dan laju deformasi (RD) terendah sebesar 0,028 mm/menit.

Abstract

Tanah lempung dengan sifat ekspansif banyak ditemukan di Kota Makassar, ditandai dengan kecenderungan mudah mengembang menyebabkan kemampuan dukung tanah yang rendah. Metode yang umumnya digunakan untuk mengatasi hal ini meliputi stabilisasi mekanis, kimia, fisik, hingga menggunakan bahan tambah. Di sisi lain, limbah juga menjadi masalah serius sehingga perlu ditanggulangi, salah satunya metode recycle. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini akan berfokus melakukan recycle pada limbah marmer dari Kabupaten Maros sebagai bahan tambah untuk mengurangi potensi pengembangan tanah (swelling) dan meningkatkan kemampuan mekanisnya sekaligus mengurangi limbah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengaruh limbah serbuk marmer pada tanah lempung terhadap kepadatan dan perilaku swelling tanah lempung. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimental menggunakan alat konsolidasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa subtitusi limbah marmer (LM) terhadap tanah asli (tanah lempung ekspansif) berpengaruh positif meningkatkan kepadatan tanah sebesar 6,258% - 12,044% dengan komposisi optimumnya antara 10%-20% dan swelling tanah lempung berkurang sebesar 12,883% - 21,739% pada kadar subtitusi limbah marmer sebesar 10% - 20% (LM10% - LM20%)

Abstract

Subgrade berperan penting dalam menunjang stabilitas jalan. Namun, subgrade seringkali memiliki daya dukung rendah dan tidak memenuhi standar minimal subgrade. Stabilisasi menggunakan limbah marmer merupakan salah satu cara, terbukti meningkatkan daya dukung, kekuatan, dan stabilitas tanah. Penelitian ini mengevaluasi pengaruh lama waktu perendaman pada subgrade yang distabilisasi  marmer untuk meningkatkan kualitas subgrade dan pengelolaan limbah berkelanjutan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengaruh lama waktu perendaman terhadap perubahan nilai CBR dan kepadatan pada subgrade yang telah disubtitusi limbah marmer. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimental menggunakan alat CBR dan Standar Proctor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kadar optimum subtitusi limbah marmer 15% (LM15%) mampu meningkatkan nilai CBR sebesar 8,922% dan kepadatan sebesar 21,535%, serta tanpa perendaman (0 hari) menunjukkan CBR dan kepadatan tertinggi dibanding direndam 7, 14, dan 21 hari atau semakin lama waktu perendaman menyebabkan penurunan nilai CBR dan kepadatan tanah subgrade meskipun telah distabilisasi limbah marmer

Abstract

Abstrak. Kemajuan teknologi digital, khususnya Augmented Reality (AR), telah membuka peluang untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di bidang teknik sipil. Program pelatihan penggunaan AR dan model 3D berbasis SketchUp ini dilaksanakan di Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Makassar, bertujuan untuk membekali mahasiswa Teknik Sipil Bangunan Gedung (D4) dengan pemahaman dasar dan keterampilan operasional terkait teknologi AR dalam simulasi rancang bangunan. Pelatihan meliputi pengenalan teknologi AR, demonstrasi penggunaan fitur AR melalui 3D Warehouse, serta praktik langsung secara individual. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta berhasil memahami fungsi, kelebihan, dan batasan AR, membedakan AR dengan Virtual Reality (VR), serta mampu mengoperasikan fitur AR untuk memvisualisasikan rancang bangunan sederhana secara mandiri. Kendala utama berupa perangkat smartphone yang tidak mendukung fitur AR berhasil diatasi secara efektif. Pelatihan ini memberikan kontribusi positif dalam mendukung pembelajaran berbasis teknologi modern dan meningkatkan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam memahami desain struktural.Kata kunci: augmented reality, 3d warehouse, teknik sipil

Abstract

Abstrak.  Kemampuan berbahasa Inggris merupakan kompetensi fundamental bagi akademisi, namun banyak tantangan yang menghambat penguasannya. Pemanfaatan platform digital dan Generative AI (GenAI) bisa menjadi solusi pembelajaran self-directed learning bahasa Inggris bagi Akademisi. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan pemanfaatan platform digital dan teknologi Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) dalam mendukung pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris secara mandiri, khususnya bagi kalangan akademisi. Dalam kegiatan ini, peserta dikenalkan dengan berbagai platform seperti Duolingo, Magoosh, ChatGPT (voice mode), serta beberapa situs penyedia tes simulasi Bahasa Inggris daring lainnya. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta terhadap penggunaan teknologi pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris, serta motivasi yang tinggi untuk melanjutkan pembelajaran secara mandiri. Sosialisasi ini diharapkan dapat menjadi langkah awal untuk meningkatkan literasi digital dan kemampuan bahasa asing akademisi di era transformasi digital. Kata Kunci: Platform Digital, GenAI, Bahasa Inggris, Self-Directed Learning, Akademisi

Abstract

Concrete is a composite material consisting of two main components namely aggregate and cement mortar as a binder. Concrete has high compressive strength but weak tensile strength. The addition of fiber in concrete can improve ductile behavior before collapse, inhibit the growth of crack expansion and increase durability. This study aims to examine the effect of fiber content on the mechanical properties of fiber concrete. The fibers used were ssteel fibers with hooked end, and l/d ratio = 67,7 mm with normal concrete quality f’c = 25 MPa. The percentage of fiber content used in this study was 0%, 0,1%, 0,2%, 0,3%, 0,5%, 0,75%, 1%, 1,5% and 2%. The results showed that the addition of fiber in concrete was able to increase the split tensile strength by 7 – 117%. Fiber concrete has higher ductility than normal concrete. This is indicated by the high deflection of fiber concrete compared to the deflection of normal concrete under load.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the critical factors causing delays in the Provincial Road Grant Program (PHJD) road construction project in North Toraja Regency, particularly on the Pangala-Baruppu-West Sulawesi road segment, using the Relative Importance Index (RII) method. Data were collected through questionnaires completed by 34 respondents directly involved in the project, including contractors, supervising consultants, and other related parties. The results of the study show that the most significant cause of delays in the PHJD road construction project was material testing delays, with the highest RII score of 0.888. Other key contributors were material delivery issues, ineffective coordination, and unpredictable weather. Financial issues had a medium impact, while factors like low labor productivity and lack of GS responsibility were less influential. Design changes and land acquisition were the least significant. The findings emphasize the need for improved coordination, efficient material handling, and better preparation for environmental challenges to minimize delays and enhance project performance.

Abstract

The construction of substations is one of the most crucial electrical projects in the development of infrastructure and economic growth, to ensure a stable, reliable, and equitable supply of electricity. Electrical construction projects inherently present significant occupational safety and accident risks, ranging from exposure to high voltage to incidents involving heavy equipment. In Indonesia, the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Management System known as SMK3 is mandated by Government Regulation (PP) No. 50 of 2012, and serves as the national framework for mitigating these dangers. The goal for implementing this system is to prevent and minimize human and financial losses, including lost work hours and declining productivity, thereby supporting more effective and efficient operational performance. In this study, the implementation of SMK3 on the 150 kV Raha Substation project was evaluated using a descriptive qualitative method with employing data collection instruments that included interviews, field observations, and a checklist of questions based on the audit criteria elements outlined in applicable regulations. The implementation of SMK3, based on 166 audit criteria in the Raha 150 kV Substation construction project, as per PP No. 50 of 2012, achieved a compliance rate of 92.17% (153 criteria compliant and 13 criteria non-compliant), categorized as satisfactory category. From the analysis of respondent interviews and field observations, it was found that the main factors causing obstacles to the optimal implementation of OSH in general are low employee understanding, budget constraints, lack of standardization among subcontractors, and disparities in employee competencies.

Abstract

The high number of work accidents indicates that the implementation of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) is still not optimal, particularly in the construction industry. Vocational schools (SMK) can foster awareness from an early age through education and training. Students in general are not aware of the potential for workplace accidents yet. K3 education for students from an early age can help provide a beneficial understanding and foster attitudes and habits to apply K3 in their future work environments. The purpose of this program is to provide understanding and basic knowledge of construction K3 to students of SMKN 4 Gowa. The method used to educate students through this K3 learning is lectures and socialization, as well as evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests. Overall, the results show that this K3 education activity helps students in the Building Modeling and Information Design program at SMKN 4 Gowa understand all the topics that were talked about. These include understanding K3 and the Zero Accident goal, the importance of construction K3, potential hazards in construction, methods of hazard identification and risk assessment, risk control, recognizing personal protective equipment, symbols and signs, and learning about work accidents that happen in Indonesia.

Abstract

Scientific writing is a crucial skill for high school students to support critical thinking and academic literacy. To address this, a workshop was conducted at SMA Negeri 5 Makassar to enhance students’ scientific writing skills and introduce ethical AI usage. The activity was planned to begin with identifying the problems and needs of the partner school, followed by preparing workshop materials, conducting the workshop, and concluding with evaluation and follow-up actions. The program included interactive lectures, demonstrations of AI tools, and guided writing exercises focused on crafting titles, backgrounds, and literature reviews. Pre- and post-tests revealed significant improvement. Understanding of title writing increased from 40% to 87%, background structure from 30% to 80%, and literature review structure from 17% to 67%. Knowledge of AI tools rose from 70% to 100%, while comprehension of prompting techniques and AI’s role in writing both reached 100% after the workshop. Notably, awareness of ethical AI usage, initially absent among participants, reached 100%. Understanding of transparency in AI-assisted writing also increased dramatically from 3% to 100%. Overall, the workshop effectively improved both technical and ethical aspects of scientific writing, preparing students to face academic challenges with greater confidence and responsibility.
