Abstract

The government has issued various policies to stop the spread of COVID-19. One of them is online learning (on the network) which is carried out by almost all levels of education in Indonesia. Learning models are developed based online (e-learning). Nevertheless, on the other hand, the implementation of online learning experiences obstacles such as teachers' lack of knowledge and skills in managing to learn online. This community service aims to improve the abilities and skills of elementary school teachers in using e-learning applications based on Google Classroom in helping the online learning process during the pandemic. The target of this activity is the Gegunung Village Elementary School teachers. Execution method using lectures, practicum, and question and answer. Training participants are given an understanding concept about distance learning media or online and practising use of the Google Classrooms application. The results of this activity include training participants very enthusiastic about participating in the training. The Gegunung Village Elementary School teacher can understand the use of google classroom with an indicator that the teacher can create online learning. The Gegunung Village Elementary School teachers have operated the application Google Classroom as an alternative medium. However, assistance still needs to be done until the teacher understands and uses Google Classroom as an online learning medium during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Dermatophytes are a group of fungi that have the ability to digest keratin such as the stratum corneum of the skin (epidermis), hair, nails and cause dermatophytosis. Tinea pedis is caused by a dermatophyte fungal infection often found on the soles of the feet and between the toes. Tinea pedis predisposing factors are the use of old closed shoes every day, the use of socks when working and direct contact with water for a long time. This research is located in Bobos Village, Dukupuntang District, Cirebon Regency and is conducted on natural stone workers who work daily in a humid place because they are often in contact with water and wear boots for a long time. The aim of the study was to identify dermatophyte fungi and the percentage of natural stone workers infected with dermatophyte fungi. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis by conducting a survey. The results of identification of dermatophyte fungi on the sidelines of the fingers of natural stone workers were found Trichophyton rubrum and Trichophyton mentagrophytes.

Abstract

The aims of this study were to assess the water quality of the River Condong and Condong River Quality Statebased on physical, chemical and biological parameters. Sampling was carried out in seven stations with 3 repetitions at intervals of one month. Water quality were analyzed descriptively by reference raw Water Quality Standard.  Determination of the stateof water quality using methods Storet. Results of laboratory tests showed that the water quality of the River Condong exceed the Water Quality Standard Group II based on Government Regulation No. 82 of 2001 and in particular textile waste quality standard TSS, DO, BOD5, COD, NH3, sulfide, Cr (VI), phenols, oils and fats, Biological parameters using makrobentos diversity index (H ') obtained a low value that is from 0 to 1.7077.  Quality state based Storet method, the value of  > -31. It can be concluded that the condition of physical, chemical and biological parameters, Condong River water showed waters not appropriate the Quality Standard for agricultural irrigation, freshwater fish breeding and infrastructure or water recreation facilities before and after the discharge of liquid waste of batik. Condong River quality state before and after the liquid waste of batik is heavily polluted.

Abstract

Maintaining hand hygiene is one of the measures recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to help prevent infection during the COVID-19 pandemic. Maintaining hand hygiene can use soap and water or other alternatives such as hand sanitizer with an alcohol content of at least 60%. Hand sanitizer is a hand sanitizer that contains alcohol functions to kill microorganisms in the hands quickly and without rinsing. Hand sanitizers generally consist of two types, namely gels and sprays, both of which have their own advantages and disadvantages. This study aimed to determine the decrease in the number of germs on the palms after using gel and spray hand sanitizers, as well as a comparison of the effectiveness of gel and spray hand sanitizers. The research method used is pre-experimental with the research design "One Group Pretest Posttest design" and the examination method uses Total Plate Count (TPC). The study was conducted at the AAK An Nasher microbiology laboratory from June to August 2021. The results of the study obtained that gel and spray hand sanitizers are effective in reducing the number of germs on the palms, but there is no difference in effectiveness in reducing the number of germs on the palms between the use of gel and spray hand sanitizers. Data analysis using paired sample t-test obtained sig value. (0.000<0.050) for the two types of hand sanitizers, it is concluded that both are significantly able to reduce the number of germs on the palms. The results of the independent samples t-test obtained sig values. (0.449>0.050) There needs to be an effective comparison between gel and spray hand sanitizers. Hand sanitizer gel and spray are effective in reducing the number of germs on the palm, but there is no difference in effectiveness in reducing the number of germs on the palm between the use of gel and spray hand sanitizer

Abstract

Cacing kremi (Enterobius vermicularis) merupakan penyebab infeksi parasit padamanusia yang paling sering di dunia.Parasit ini sering menyerang pada anak-anakumur 1-10 tahun dan lebih banyak ditemukan pada golongan ekonomi lemah.Parasit ini juga lebih banyak ditemukan di daerah dingin daripada di daerahpanas. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara Anal swab atau Scotch tape. Tujuandari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya telur cacing Enterobiusvermicularis pada siswa kelas 1-1 SDN 1 Sedongkidul Kecamatan SedongKabupaten Cirebon dan persentase siswa kelas 1-1 yang terinfeksi telur cacingEnterobius vermicularis di SDN 1 Sedongkidul Kecamatan Sedong KabupatenCirebon. Cacing Enterobius vermicularis dikenal dengan nama cacing kremi,tersebar luas diseluruh dunia dan umumnya menyerang anak-anak. Manusiaadalah satu-satunya hospes dan penyakitnya disebut Enterobiasis atau Oksiuriasis.Cacing betina yang gravid mengandung 11.000 – 15.000 butir telur, bermigrasi kedaerah perianal untuk bertelur dengan cara kontraksi uterus dan vaginanya. Telurtelur jarang dikeluarkan di usus, sehingga jarang ditemukan di dalam tinja.Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif yaitu mencari data atauinformasi tentang adanya telur cacing Enterobius vermicularis pada daerahperianal siswa kelas 1-1 SDN 1 Sedongkidul. Berdasarkan penelitian dari 38 siswadidapatkan 3 terinfeksi cacing Enterobius vermicularis dan 35 tidak terinfeksi,Dari uji statistik diperoleh nilai Sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 atau < 0,05, yaitu terdapattelur cacing Enterobius vermikularis pada siswa SDN 1 Sedongkidul KecamatanSedong Kabupaten Cirebon. Persentasi sebesar 8% terinfeksi telur cacingEnterobius vermicularis dan 92% negative tidak terinfeksi.Kata Kunci : Enterobius vermicularis, Kelas 1- kelas 2

Abstract

Bahaya utama pada makanan kaleng adalah tumbuhnya bakteri Clostridiumbotulinum yang dapat menyebabkan keracunan makanan atau botulisme. Hal inidisebabkan kurang selektifnya konsumen dalam memilih produk makanan kalengseperti tidak memeperhatikan batas kadaluarsa, kondisi kaleng yang penyok, sertaberkarat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bakteri Clostridiumbotulinum yang terdapat pada sarden kemasan kaleng berbagai merk dan untukmengetahui persentase sarden kemasan kaleng berbagai merk yang terdapatbakteri Clostridium botulinum . Pengalengan ikan ialah suatu proses pengawetandengan cara hermetis dan disterilkan dengan suhu tinggi untuk mematikanmikroorganisme. Bakteri Clostridium botulinum adalah bacilus aerobik Grampositif yang menghasilkan spora tahan panas. Proses sterilisasi makanan kalengyang tidak sempurna serta kondisi kaleng yang rusak dapat dapat menyebabkantumbuhnya bakteri Clostridium botulinum yang dapat menyebabkan botulisme.Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasilanalisis data menggunakan metode One-Sampel Klomogorov-Smirnov didapatkannilai signifikasi (asymp. Sig.(2 tailed) adalah 0,000 dengan demikian signifikasi0,000<0,05 yang menunjukan bahwa terdapat bakteri Clostridium botulinum padasarden kemasan kaleng yang dijual di swalayan x. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa dari30 sarden kemasan kaleng yang dijual di swalayan x terdapat 18 sarden kemasankaleng atau 60% sampel positif terdapat bekteri Clostridium botulinum dan 12sarden kemasan kaleng atau 40% sampel negatif tidak terdapat bekteriClostridium botulinum.Kata kunci : Clostridium botulinum, Sarden Kemasan Kaleng, Swalayan x

Abstract

Salted squid is a substitution in development. After realizing the importance of these foods as a source of body nutrients, consumption of salted squid has increased. However, there are still many traders who use formalin to preserve salted squid. Some characteristics of salted squid containing formalin are clean, fly-free, and do not rot at room temperature for more than a month. One way to reduce the formalin content in salted squid before cooking can be by soaking it with lime. Because lime contains a lot of organic acids in the form of citric acid. This study was conducted to determine the optimal concentration of lime to reduce formalin levels and see the significant effect of lime concentration on reducing formalin levels in salted squid. The research method used in this study is Pre Experiment with one group pre test post test design. Formalin identification was carried out qualitatively using distillation and the addition of chromatropic acid and quantitatively using a spectrophotometer with a wavelength of 570nm. The formalin level in squid was 0.1682ppm. Samples were treated by soaking with lime juice with a concentration of 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, 100% with a duration of time of 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, 4 hours, 5 hours, the results showed the highest decrease in formalin levels at a soaking time of 5 hours with a concentration of 100% lime juice.

Abstract

Health is very important for human life. Health can be expressed in two senses, especially in the narrow and broad sense. Skin health problems are something that needs to be considered by the community because skin health is still a matter of little concern in terms of personal and environmental hygiene, one of which is scabies. Scabies is caused by the mite Sarcoptes scabiei var hominis,s. This disease usually affects humans who live in groups and live together, such as in dormitories. This study aims to determine the presence of Sarcoptes scabiei on the mattresses of students at the Tarbiyatul Banin Islamic boarding school and to determine the percentage of mattresses that contain Sarcoptes scabiei at the Tarbiyatul Banin Islamic boarding school. Descriptive research methods and inspection methods using microscopic methods. For data analysis using the frequency descriptive statistics SPSS program. The results of the 35 samples of mattress dust examined were 4 positive samples with a percentage of 11.4%, while 31 samples of mattress dust were negative with a percentage of 88.6%.

Abstract

Gout often attacks at the age of > 45 years because at that age estrogen levels decrease, causing an increase in uric acid in the blood. Hyperuricemia can be overcome with herbal treatment in the form of consuming guava juice because it contains vitamin C which has a uricogenic effect, namely increasing the body's uric acid excretion, thereby reducing the formation of uric crystals in the blood. The purpose of this community service is to increase public knowledge about the benefits of guava fruit in reducing uric acid levels. This service is carried out through counseling activities and giving guava fruits to increase public knowledge and understanding of the importance of consuming guava fruits in reducing uric acid levels. The method used in this activity was counseling by means of socialization first and then followed by observation using questionnaires and blood sampling for gout examination in the elderly as many as 22 people in Karangampel Indramayu District on May 9 - 20, 2022. The results and conclusions of this activity are that guava can reduce uric acid levels in the elderly in Karangampel Indramayu District.

Abstract

Green tea (Camellia sinensis) is a plant known by the public as a drink that is quite economical and easy to obtain. Green tea contains polyphenol compounds that can lower cholesterol levels in the blood. Excessive cholesterol (Hypercholesterolemia) is a very feared threat because it is one of the causes of coronary heart disease and stroke. High cholesterol has become a common disease for the elderly, the increase in the number of elderly people must be followed by an increase in the degree of well-being, one of which is in the health sector. The rise of lifestyle and the effects of unhealthy eating behaviors have an impact on increasing cholesterol levels. The purpose of this activity is to reduce the rate of hypercholesterolonemia in the elderly through the use of the consumption of green tea brew on cholesterol levels in the elderly in Sumber Cirebon District. The method in this activity is to conduct counseling, observer of respondents and experiments by giving green tea brew then followed by checking cholesterol levels. The result of this activity is that green tea is able to lower cholesterol levels. The conclusion is that the infusion of green can provide benefits for the community, especially the elderly, in improving health and reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease.
