Abstract

This research aims to develop appropriate learning video media on 3D acrylic nail art material, knowing students' responses and learning outcomes based on the application of existing learning video media. This research uses the Research and Development method with the Borg and Gall model, which is divided into 6 stages. This research was conducted at SMKN 1 Sooko with the subjects being phase F students majoring in skin and hair cosmetology with primary and secondary data sources. Data collection in this research used literature studies, field surveys, validation tests, learning outcomes tests, and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive analysis which will be calculated using the average formula. The results of this research show that the media developed is suitable for application as evidenced by the validation test results of video suitability 4.31 in the good category, material suitability 4.27 in the good category, language suitability 4.15 in the good category. In its application, good results were obtained in the student response aspect, as evidenced by the average response value of 4.41, which is included in the good category. Student learning outcomes also show positive results where students are able to achieve 100% completion with a score range of 80-90. It can be concluded that this research has proceeded according to expectations and has achieved every research objective that was prepared. Abstract

Party makeup aims to enhance facial beauty and conceal skin imperfections, particularly for adult women who regularly use skincare products. This study aims to: 1) evaluate the results of party makeup on adult female skincare users using liquid, cream, and stick Foundations based on the indicators of evenness, smoothness, and durability; and 2) identify the differences in makeup outcomes among the three types of Foundations. The research employs a quantitative approach with a factorial experimental design, conducted through the observation of Foundation application at the PKK Makeup Laboratory, Faculty of Engineering UNESA. The findings indicate that cream Foundation excels in smoothness, providing a natural appearance and effectively concealing pores. Liquid Foundation demonstrates the best durability, making it suitable for long-lasting makeup. Stick Foundation also offers good durability but is slightly less even compared to the other types. The analysis concludes that cream Foundation is the optimal choice as it performs excellently in evenness, smoothness, and durability. Liquid Foundation is recommended for events requiring high durability, although improvements in evenness and smoothness are needed. Stick Foundation is suitable for aesthetic results but has shortcomings in evenness and smoothness. Overall, cream Foundation is the preferred option for optimal party makeup results.

Abstract

Self-image satisfaction that individuals have is closely related to how individuals view their self-image and self-confidence. Individuals who experience self-image dissatisfaction will appear to engage in behavior related to self-image, namely the efforts made to support their appearance. One of the behaviors that arise is the behavior in applying makeup. This study aims to determine the relationship between daily makeup behavior and self-confidence of female family welfare education students at Surabaya State University and factors that influence daily makeup behavior. Respondents in this study were students of the Family Welfare Education clump at Surabaya State University, class of 2020, consisting of 3 study programs, namely S-1 Cosmetology Education, S-1 Culinary Education, and S-1 Fashion Education. The type of makeup used is everyday makeup. The data analysis technique used was the SPSS-assisted Rank Spearman correlation test. It was found that there was a high positive correlation between daily makeup behavior and self-confidence of female Family Welfare Education students with a correlation coefficient value of 0.879 and a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Based on the bivariate analysis of variables, it was found that the factors that influence makeup behavior are internal factors consisting of 1) level of knowledge 2) self-awareness 3) confidence in one's own abilities and external factors, namely environmental factors that stimulate the emergence of daily makeup behavior from the stages of awareness, interest, evaluation, trial, and adoption. The relationship between daily makeup behavior and self-confidence of female Family Welfare Education students at Surabaya State University is positively correlated, which means that if female students increase their daily makeup behavior, their self-confidence will also increase. Abstract

Abstract The main issue identified yourlige salon is the decline in the number of customers, which affects the salon's revenue and operational stability. This study aims to analyze customer satisfaction levels at Yourligie Salon SMK 6 Surabaya using the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) method. The research employs a quantitative approach with a survey design, where data is collected through questionnaires distributed to salon customers. The analysis is conducted using CSI calculations to measure customer satisfaction regarding tangible aspects, reliability, assurance, responsiveness, and empathy. The results indicate that the customer satisfaction level is 76.59%, suggesting that customers are satisfied with the services provided. The most satisfying aspects include product quality, facility comfort, and staff professionalism, while deficiencies were found in employee skills and facility completeness. In conclusion, although the salon's services are considered good, improvements are still needed in staff training and facility enhancement. Abstract

Outdoor activities that are exposed to sunlight for too long can cause water evaporation from the skin's surface to become rapid and reduce the natural moisture needed by the skin so that the skin becomes dry. Body scrub is a skin care product that functions to nourish, cleanse the body, and remove dead skin cells. Natural ingredients that can be used to make natural body scrubs are papaya fruit. Papaya contains the enzyme papain which has natural exfoliating properties and smoothes scaly skin texture. The purpose of this study was to determine the feasibility of papaya body scrub (Carica papaya L) reviewed from sensory tests and preference tests, to determine the effect of papaya body scrub (Carica papaya L) on hand skin moisture and to estimate the shelf life of papaya body scrub (Carica papaya L). This study used correlation analysis with a cross-sectional approach. The independent variable in this study was the use of papaya body scrub. The dependent variable was hand skin moisture in women aged (74-50 years) and the shelf life of the body scrub. Data collection using the observation method carried out by 30 women aged (74-50 years) and microbiological tests of shelf life. The data were analyzed by instrument test, basic assumption test and single ANOVA using SPSS Version 29 program. The results of the study were reviewed from the sensory test can be said to be feasible by obtaining the highest value of 19 while reviewed from the preference test obtained the highest value of 46, there is an effect of papaya scrub (Carica papaya L) on the skin after testing for 4 weeks with the results of the first week there were 3 respondents who had moist skin and in the fourth week there were 20 respondents who had moist skin and papaya scrub (Carica apaya L) could last until the 4th week. Abstract

The ideal face shape is oval, one of the non-ideal face shapes is a round face shape. In doing corrective makeup on a round face, the gradation blush application technique is done so that the face looks ideal. The purpose of this study was to determine the difference between vertical and horizontal techniques of gradation blush application and to determine the level of respondents' preference for makeup results. This type of research is experimental research. The samples in this study were 5 women who had round faces and applied gradation blush. The independent variable in this study is the application of blush vertical technique and horizontal technique (X), and the dependent variable is the level of influence of gradation blush application technique (Y). Observations were conducted by 30 expert respondents in the field of Cosmetology and Beauty Science who provided value and liking data using an observation sheet as a research instrument. Data analysis techniques using Independent T-Test and average value. The results of the T Test are known Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.001 (0.001 <0.05), it is concluded that there is a significant difference in the makeup results on round faces to achieve ideal facial makeup using vertical and horizontal techniques of gradation blush application. The respondent's level of liking for the final result of corrective makeup on a round face using the vertical technique of gradation blush application obtained an average value of 3.68 which means that the respondent really likes it than the final result of corrective makeup using horizontal technique. Abstract

Makeup techniques are part of life for women regardless of age, differences in skin condition and texture of each woman's face. The purpose of this study was to 1) Determine the results of makeup using the vertical tape facelift technique on mature skin. 2) Determine the results of makeup using the horizontal tape facelift technique on mature skin. 3) Determine the differences in makeup results using the vertical and horizontal tape facelift techniques on mature skin. This research method uses an experimental method with observation sheets taken by 30 respondents. The type of research used is experimental research using the arithmetic mean data analysis technique and the Independent Sample T Test. The results of the study were obtained from the sum of the arithmetic mean values ​​of the five aspects of the vertical tape facelift technique obtained a figure of 2.86 which is classified as sufficient. While the sum of the arithmetic mean values ​​of the five aspects of the horizontal tape facelift technique obtained a figure of 3.67 which is classified as good. In the results of SPSS 25 Independent Sample T Test from both techniques covering all five aspects, the Sig. (2-tailed) figure was obtained less than 0.05 (<0.05). This shows that there is a significant difference in the use of vertical tape facelift and horizontal tape facelift techniques for the results of facial makeup on mature skin from each aspect and overall

Abstract

Indonesia Inggris 1.450 / 5.000 The development of technology encourages the development of flexible digital learning media, one of which is the use of flipbooks which are increasingly used. This study aims to determine the feasibility of the media, interest in learning using the media and learning outcomes after using the media. This research approach uses R&D (Research and Development) Borg and Gall with reference to 8 stages, namely: 1) Potential and problems; 2) Data collection; 3) Product design; 4) Design validation; 5) Design revision; 6) Product trial; 7) Product revision; 8) Usage trial. This study was conducted with a small group trial of 15 students of class XI TKKR 2 and 30 students of class X TKKR 1 in media on a class scale. The results of the media feasibility evaluation showed that the average final score reached 4.46, which indicated that the learning media was classified as effective and feasible to use in the teaching and learning process. The learning interest of the participants is categorized as very good with a percentage of 97% and the average learning outcomes of students after using interactive learning media based on flipbooks on learning outcomes of hair anatomy and physiology obtained significant results of 0.000 <0.05, thus, the average achievement of student learning outcomes, namely 84.6, experienced a significant increase, exceeding the figure of 75 according to the school KKTP standard after the implementation of interactive learning media based on flipbooks.

Abstract

Effective learning necessitates creative media that can present content in a captivating and comprehensible way. This study was conducted to determine 1) the appropriateness of the educational media, 2) the cognitive achievements of the students, and 3) the feedback from students in class XI TKKR at SMKN 1 Pacitan. The method chosen is Research and Development (R&D) utilizing the ADDIE model, which includes five essential phases: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The flipbook was designed using Canva and then uploaded to the Heyzine platform, which resulted in an appealing and user-friendly digital book format. The validation process involves six evaluators, consisting of experts in content, media, and language. Data was gathered via observations, assessments of learning outcomes, and surveys regarding student responses. The evaluation of the flipbook-based interactive learning media resulted in an overall average rating of 4.64, classifying it as "very good." The analysis of learning performance indicated excellent criteria, yielding an average score of 82.5, with 87% of the students achieving completion. Furthermore, the students' feedback regarding the learning media was highly favorable, with an average score of 4.42, categorized as "Very Good." Through this research, it was concluded that Flipbook is effective in fostering students' understanding and learning motivation, while also serving as an innovation to overcome the limitations of traditional learning media in vocational schools.

Abstract

Laboratorium sebagai tempat kerja juga harus memperhatikan keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja (K3) terutama laboratorium pendidikan. Penelitian ini bermaksud guna menganalisis hubungan antara pengetahuan Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) dengan penerapan K3 pada siswa jurusan Tata Kecantikan di Laboratorium Kulit dan Rambut SMKN 6 Surabaya. Metode yang dipergunakan di penelitian ini ialah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian korelasional. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari siswa kelas X jurusan Tata Kecantikan, dengan sampel sebanyak 32 siswa. Instrumen penelitian yang dipergunakan di penelitian ini ialah soal pilihan ganda dan lembar observasi. Analisis data mempergunakan uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment dan Uji Koefisien Determinasi. Temuan penelitian memperlihatkan bahwasannya pengetahuan siswa tentang K3 terkategori sangat baik dengan persentase 90%. Implementasi K3 juga menunjukkan hasil yang sangat baik dengan persentase 94%. Analisis menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson memperlihatkan didapatinya korelasi yang signifikan diantara pengetahuan K3 dan penerapan K3, dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,838, yang mengindikasikan hubungan yang sangat kuat. Koefisien determinasi menunjukkan bahwa 70,2% variasi dalam penerapan K3 dapat dijelaskan oleh pengetahuan K3. Berdasar temuan penelitian ini, bisa diambil kesimpulan bahwasannya pengetahuan K3 yang baik berkontribusi positif terhadap penerapan K3 di laboratorium. Oleh karena itu, penting bagi siswa agar terus meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran akan K3 guna menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang sehat dan aman, menciptakan lingkungan laboratorium yang aman bagi siswa di jurusan Tata Kecantikan SMKN 6 Surabaya.
