Abstract

Poetry can be used as a medium internalization precept of “budi pekerti” (manner). The theory of semiotic Riffaterre can be used in understand the meaning and precepts of “budi pekerti” mind contained in poetry Kekean work F. Aziz Manna. Research methodology this is descriptive qualitative. The result of this research suggests that indirectness expression by replacing meaning in the form of metaphors and similes and the deflection the meaning of ambiguity. Reading a heuristic useful to clarify the meaning of language. Reading hermeneutic in poetry Kekean remembrance people is in this world for permits god, therefore attitude “tawaduk” should be owned by each individual. Matrix poetry Kekean is an attitude “tawaduk” that should be owned by each individual.  The model in Kekean poetry is “hanya kepala dan torso. tubuhku bulat. togog. Lenganku buntung”, “Aku pun tumbuh bagai barang aduan”. The varians in the Kekean poem is “Leherku terlilit tali panjang; berjuang dalam gerak melingkar; Aku pun tumbuh bagai barang aduan”. The teaching of “budi pekerti” that are contained in the poetry Kekean among others: believe in the existence of God; have a sense of self-worth; developing work ethos and learning; have a sense of responsibility; and able to control themselves.Keyword: Kekean poetry, budi pekerti, semiotik Riffaterre MAKNA DAN AJARAN BUDI PEKERTI DALAM PUISI KEKEAN KARYA F. AZIZ MANNA: KAJIAN SEMIOTIK RIFFATERREAbstrakPuisi dapat digunakan sebagai media internalisasi ajaran budi pekerti. Teori Semiotik Riffaterre dapat digunakan dalam memahami makna dan ajaran budi pekerti yang terkandung dalam puisi Kekean karya F. Aziz Manna. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menujukkan bahwa ketidaklangsungan ekspresi berupa penggantian arti dalam bentuk metafora dan simile dan penyimpangan arti berupa ambiguitas. Pembacaan heuristik berguna untuk memperjelas arti secara kebahasaan. Pembacaan hermeneutik dalam puisi Kekean mengandung makna manusia ada di dunia ini atas izin Allah, oleh sebab itu sikap tawaduk harus dimiliki oleh setiap individu. Matriks puisi Kekean adalah sikap tawadhu yang harus dimiliki oleh setiap individu. Model dalam puisi Kekean adalah “hanya kepala dan torso. tubuhku bulat. togog. Lenganku buntung”, “Aku pun tumbuh bagai barang aduan”. Varian dalam puisi Kekean adalah  “Leherku terlilit tali panjang; berjuang dalam gerak melingkar; Aku pun tumbuh bagai barang aduan”. Ajaran budi pekerti yang terkandung dalam puisi Kekean antara lain: meyakini adanya Tuhan; memiliki rasa menghargai diri sendiri; mengembangkan etos kerja dan belajar; memiliki rasa tanggungjawab; dan mampu mengendalikan diri.Kata kunci: puisi Kekean, budi pekerti, semiotik Riffaterre

Abstract

Understanding the meaning in a poem requires a theory. The object of this research is the poem Piatu by F. Aziz Manna. The theory used in this research is Michael Riffaterre's semiotics. The purpose of this research is to understand the meaning of poetry through heuristic reading, hermeneutic reading, models, matrices, and variants as well as moral education values. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative. The result of this research is the heuristic reading in the poem entitled Piatu, there are eight stanzas that produce the meaning of the poem based on language convention, not yet at the meaning. In the hermeneutic reading in the poem entitled Piatu, there are eight stanzas which in total contain the meaning of the longing of a child (immature) who does not have a mother anymore because he has passed away. This longing is a manifestation of a child's love and affection for his mother. This love and affection made him stronger and more willing to accept all the conditions given by Allah. The model in this poem is the Orphan. The matrix is ??a child whose mother has abandoned because of her death. The variants in this poem include: I don't cry or laugh; Flowers that embrace twigs; this solitude is strange. The values ??of moral education are respect for mothers and the command to love orphans.

Abstract

Kepriyayian identik dengan status sosial seseorang dalam pandangan masyarakat. Priyayi dipandang sebagai orang yang memiliki status sosial yang tinggi dan terpandang. Bisa karena keturunan dari keluarga terpandang ataupun karena memiliki pekerjaan yang berstatus sosial tinggi. Dalam novel Para Priyayi makna yang ideal tersebut dijungkirbalikkan oleh Umar Kayam. Penelitian ini menggunakan cara kerja teori dekonstruksi Derrida dengan menemukan oposisi-oposisi berlawanan pada novel Para Priyayi. Hasilnya dapat dilihat bahwa Umar Kayam menunjukkan bahwa kepriyayian bukanlah sekadar gaya hidup maupun status sosial, namun lebih kepada kepribadian itu sendiri, bagaimana seseorang berguna bagi masyarakat. Hal ini menjungkirbalikkan esensi makna priyayi yang telah tertanam kuat di hati dan pikiran masyarakat bahwa kepriyayian yang sangat lekat dengan gaya hidup maupun status sosial.Kata Kunci: dekonstruksi, priyayi, derrida, umar kayam, para priyayi.

Abstract

Idul Fitri merupakan puisi karya Sutardji Calzoum Bakhri yang sarat akan metaforadan metonimi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kondisi bawah sadar tokoh“aku” untuk menutupi kekurangan dan menemukan identitasnya kembali. Semuadapat dilihat melalui bahasa dalam puisi tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakanmetode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan poststrukturalisme yangmenggunakan analisis psikoanalisis Lacan. Teori psikoanalisis Lacan menjadi pisauanalisis yang digunakan untuk mengungkap sejauh mana fenomena metafora danmetonimi yang ada di dalam puisi Idul Fitri. Secara metonimi, puisi Idul Fitrimenggantikan diri manusia yang hina, kotor, tidak luput dari dosa dengan “aku” yangmerupakan si bekas pemabuk. Penggantian metonimik secara parte prototo(sebagian untuk menunjukkan keseluruhan) ini menunjukkan bahwa padahakikatnya manusia adalah makhluk yang tidak pernah luput dari dosa, manusiaselalu dalam kondisi yang kurang. Melalui metafora dan metonimi tersebut tampakbahwa puisi ini mengungkapkan hasrat “aku” yang begitu besar untuk bertobat danmendekatkan diri kepada jalan Tuhan.

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi informasi berdampak sangat luas dalam kehidupan manusia. Berita adalah sebuah wacana yang menggunakan bentuk bahasa tertentu. Bahasa menjadi objek dalam analisis wacana kritis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil dari analisis kritis versi Leeuwen khususnya pada inclusion. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah berita daring yang dimuat radarmadiun.co.id edisi Oktober 2021. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah dokumentasi, baca, dan catat. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, verifikasi atau penarikan simpulan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah berita daerah Ngawi dalam media daring radarmadiun.co.id edisi Oktober 2021 dalam analisis wacana kritis versi inclusion Leeuwen terdapat objektivasi-abstraksi, nominasi-kategorisasi, dan nominasi-identifikasi. Abstract

Speech act is one of the analyzes of pragmatic studies that examines language and relates to aspects of its actual use. One type of speech act is illocutionary speech act. There are many kinds that can be studied using illocutionary speech acts, one of which is speech acts in films. The background of this research is because the film Mariposa by Alim Sudio found many sentences or utterances that refer to the type of illocutionary speech act. This study aims to analyze and describe the types and forms of illocutionary speech acts that exist in the speech of the characters in the Mariposa film. The research method in this study used a pragmatic and qualitative research form. Based on data analysis, it was found that in Alim Sudio's Mariposa film there are 50 illocutionary speech acts which include representative speech acts, directive speech acts, expressive or evaluative speech acts, commissive speech acts, and declaration speech acts. The representative speech acts in Alim Sudio's Mariposa film consist of fifteen utterances. There are sixteen directive speech acts in Alim Sudio's Mariposa film. There are eleven expressive or evaluative speech acts in the Mariposa film by Alim Sudio. There are four commissive speech acts in Alim Sudio's Mariposa film. There are four speech acts of declaration in Alim Sudio's Mariposa film. Then, the benefits of research on illocutionary speech acts in Alim Sudio's film Mariposa are to have a critical understanding, broaden horizons, increase knowledge and knowledge from analyzing illocutionary speech acts through films.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology has revolutionized educational methodologies, particularly in early childhood education. This study focuses on the development of interactive learning media for kindergarten students, aimed at facilitating the understanding of letters and numbers. Employing the ADDIE model, this developmental research was conducted at Cahaya Wonoasri Kindergarten, Madiun. Data collection involved observation, interviews, and questionnaires, targeting content validity, learning design, and media efficacy. The study culminated in the creation of an Android-based application, designed to be engaging for young learners. The application's effectiveness was validated through expert assessments and individual trials, demonstrating its potential in improving letter and number recognition among kindergarten students. The content, learning design, and media experts rated the application as 'good' to 'very good' in their respective areas of expertise. The findings suggest that the developed educational tool is not only viable but also beneficial in enhancing the learning experience for kindergarten children. The application's engaging design and interactive content align with modern teaching methodologies, potentially setting a new standard in early childhood education technology. This study highlights the significance of integrating technology in early education, especially in the digital era. The success of the developed Android-based application suggests a promising future for digital learning tools in kindergarten, potentially revolutionizing the way young children are introduced to fundamental concepts like letters and numbers.

Abstract

Beginning reading must be mastered by students. This is because reading ability will influence the learning process and achievement. This research aims to determine the reading difficulties experienced by students using the phonics method. The method used is a case study. In this research, there are five stages, namely determining the problem, designing and research instruments, collection, analysis, and presentation of data. The research subjects were 9 grade 1 students and the class teacher.  The results of the reading ability test show that there are four reading abilities in class 1. As for the first stage, one student is in the red stage or reading closed syllables. Two students are in the blue stage or reading closed syllables. Three students are in the green stage, reading syllables with double vowels and consonants. Four students were able to read sentences.

Abstract

Balai Pustaka is the initial period of the emergence of modern Indonesian literature, so it is necessary to know more about the novels that have become milestones in the history of the emergence of modern Indonesian literature. During this period, many novels emerged with stories that had various similarities. This prompted the writer to find out what themes dominated the novels published in this period. In this study, the authors took six novel samples, namely Azab and Sengsara by Merari Siregar, Sitti Nurbaya by Marah Rusli, Salah Asuhan by Abdoel Moeis, Looking for the Thief of Virgins by Suman Hs., and Dian Yang Takdir Alisjahbana by S. Takdir Alisjahbana. The theory Robert Stanton is used as an analytical knife. In this theory, Stanton focused more on how to identify the theme of a literary work, where the theme is an aspect of the story that is parallel to the 'meaning' in human experience; something that makes an experience so memorable. The results of this study could be seen that the themes raised in the novels of the Balai Pustaka period have similarities, namely traditional issues, forced marriages, and the conflict between the old and young groups so that these novels have similarities in the issues raised.
