Abstract

Sate merupakan makanan yang melalui proses dengan cara dibakar. Proses pembakaran menggunakan arang dengan udara agar arang tetap menyala. Penggunaan kipas angin untuk menghasilkan angin memerlukan energi listrik yang mengakibatkan bertambahnya biaya operasional sedangkan menggunakan kipas anyaman dengan tenaga manusia dapat memperlama proses penyajian dan memerlukan tenaga dan waktu ekstra. Teknologi termoelektrik generator dengan memanfaatkan panas arang untuk menghasilkan energi listrik sehingga dapat menggerakkan kipas angin pada pemanggang sate. Pemanggang sate berbasis termoelektrik generator ini dibuat untuk digunakan pedagang sate di Desa Kembangkuning, Kecamatan Jatiluhur, Purwakarta. Metode yang digunakan persiapan dengan melakukan diskus, pelaksanaan yang terdiri dari merancang lalu dilanjutkan proses manufaktur diantaranya proses pemotongan, pengelasan dan perakitan, dan yang terakhir evaluasi dengan melakukan pengujian, pelatihan dan pemeliharaan alat. Hasil kegiatan PKM memberikan pemanggang sate dengan memanfaatkan teknologi termoelektrik generator menghasilkan tegangan 11 Volt untuk menggerakkan kipas angin dengan rata2 putaran kecepatan sebesar 5,6 m/s, adanya kipas angin pada pemanggang sate, pedagang sate dapat melakukan kegiatan lain seperti mempersiapkan bumbu, dan lainnya sehingga waktu proses dapat dimakasimalkan. dapat memaksimalkan. Kegiatan ini selain membuat dan menguji juga dilakukan pelatihan penggunaan dan pemeliharaan pemanggang sate agar pedagang sate dapat maksimal dalam menggunakannya.

Abstract

Thermoelectric Generator is a technology used to generate electrical energy by utilizing the Seebeck effect, which occurs due to the temperature difference between the hot and cold sides. This study aims to determine the voltage generated by the thermoelectric generator from the process of burning satay using coconut shell charcoal. In this experiment, 6 pieces of thermoelectric generator type TEG1-241-1. 4-1. 2 were used which were connected in series. The pieces were mounted on aluminum material measuring 165 x 110 x 15 mm, and equipped with a heatsink at the bottom of the satay grill body for cooling. The heatsink used is an extrude model. Testing began when the charcoal had reached a red color. The maximum voltage generated reached 2,25 V in seven minutes, with a temperature difference reaching 5,9 °C. The temperature on the hot side was recorded at 102,2 °C, while on the cold side it was 96,3 °C.

Abstract

The heat generated by split air conditioning (AC-Split) is sufficiently high to be utilized as a heat exchanger. The installation of a heat exchanger device, referred to as an Air Conditioning Water Heater (ACWH), is used to heat water in a tank by utilizing the waste heat from the condenser. In this study, refrigerant R290 will be used as a replacement for R22, with the aim of eliminating the Ozone Depleting Potential (ODP) and Global Warming Potential (GWP) associated with R22. Calculations are carried out to ensure the performance of the split AC by testing each refrigerant, R22 and R290, installed in the heat exchanger system. The test data is calculated and analyzed based on the performance on the vapor compression diagram. The results of the performance calculations of each R290/R22 refrigerant COP: 9.7/6.4, compression work: 28.7/25.72 kJ/kg, cooling effect, and electrical power: 881/976 Watts. The calculation results of R290 have better performance compared to R22, especially in electrical power. R290 is 10% lower than R22, COP is 34% higher, and it is ODP and GWP-free.

Abstract

Termoelektrik generator merupakan sebuah teknologi yang digunakan untuk menghasilkan listrik dengan memanfaatkan efek Seebeck yang terjadi akibat perbedaan suhu panas dan dingin pada kedua sisinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tegangan yang dihasilkan oleh termoelektrik generator dari proses pembakaran pada kompor dengan menggunakan arang tempurung kelapa sebagai bahan bakarnya. Pembangkit listrik ini memanfaatkan 7 termoelektrik generator tipe TEG1-241-1.4-1.2 yang disambungkan secara seri dan dipasang pada material logam sebagai penghantar panas pada kompor yang berukuran 270 x 270 x 250 mm serta dilengkapi dengan heatsink. Heatsink yang digunakan sebagai pendingin merupakan model extrude. Pengujian dilakukan selama 30 menit, dimana tegangan dan kuat arus maksimum yang dihasilkan mencapai 1,54 V dan 1,43 A dalam waktu 18 menit dengan perbedaan temperatur 13,5 oC, dimana sisi panas dan sisi dingin pada TEG memiliki temperatur sebesar 124,8 oC dan 111,3 oC. Semakin besar perbedaan temperatur panas dan dingin pada sisi TEG semakin besar pula tegangan yang dihasilkan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengembangkan desain rangka spion pada truk Scania R620 untuk menekan frekuensi kerusakan yang terjadi. Masalah utama yang terjadi adalah kerusakan pada bracket yang mengalami retak maupun patah, serta kerusakan pada area sambungan profil hexagon dan hollow beam. Dengan metode analisis rekayasa kekuatan rangka batang, dilakukan simulasi pada CAD 3D agar dapat dianalisis struktur dan kekuatan material secara FEM pada CATIA V5. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, desain awal dengan material SS41, diperoleh tegangan maksimum sebesar 138.03 MPa, deformasi maksimum sebesar 0.00054 mm, dan nilai safety factor minimum sebesar 1.63. Sedangkan, hasil simulasi pada desain baru dengan material hollow galvanis, diperoleh tegangan maksimum sebesar 88,89 MPa dengan deformasi maksimum sebesar 0,00041 mm, serta nilai safety factor sebesar 3,94 yang berada di atas batas minimum standar teknik, yaitu 2.0. Desain baru terbukti aman dan lebih kuat, serta direkomendasikan untuk diimplementasikan dan disempurnakan lebih lanjut pada truk Scania R620.

Abstract

Technological developments in the industrialized world have encouraged the use of computer-based design technologies, such as Solidworks 3D CAD and 3D scanning, to improve efficiency and innovation in the design and product development process. However, the limited understanding and access to these technologies among the industrial community, especially the new workforce, is a challenge that needs to be overcome. This training aims to introduce Solidworks 3D CAD technology based on the 3D-Experience platform and 3D scanners to 52 participants who are students, private employees, and entrepreneurs. The training methods used included theoretical presentations, tool demonstrations, and evaluation through pre- and post-training quizzes. The results showed an average increase in participants' understanding of 76.3%, with a satisfaction level of 55%. This training proved its success in improving the technological competence of the participants and providing input for future training improvements. This activity is expected to bridge the industry's need for skilled labor and support global competitiveness.

Abstract

R290 is a type of natural refrigerant that has ODP = 0 and GWP = 4. While R32 from synthetic materials has ODP= 0 and GWP = 675 both are refrigerants used in Split AC. With this high GWP, it can have a damaging impact on the atmosphere. The advantage of R290 is that it has a lower density compared to R32, which can save the number of fillings in the AC unit by ±30% of the previous amount of refrigerant in the same volume. R290/R32 was flammable with LFL= 2%/13% and UFL= 10%/33%. The purpose of this study was to analyze the performance of R290 as a substitute for R32 on an AC-split unit with a capacity of 9,000 Btuh/hr. The steps used in the test are that the AC unit is placed in an open room with ambient temperature around 32°/80°C. The test was carried out until it reaches the optimal and stable temperature, then data is collected. The results of data collection from the evaporator air temperature R290/R32 = 21.4°C/23.0°C, condenser air temperature = R290/R32= 35°C/38.5°C, suction pressure= 90 psig/130 psig and discharge 200 psig/420 psig. The test data were analyzed and calculated using the Mollier Chart software with the results = R290/R32 = refrigeration effect = 344.8/272.2 kJ/kg, compression work = 12.18/13.02 kJ/kg, COP = 28.3/20.9, compression ratio = 2.2/3.2, strong electric current 4.98/5.73 A. From the decrease in electric current of R290 obtained a savings of 13.3% was obtained when converted to electricity bill payment and get a profit of 45,886/month.

Abstract

Doping ZnO menggunakan aluminium (Al) dan kobalt (Co) diketahui dapat memengaruhi struktur kristal akibat perbedaan jari-jari ion dan valensi dibandingkan Zn²⁺, yang berpotensi menimbulkan regangan kisi serta perubahan parameter kisi dan ukuran kristalit. Perubahan struktur tersebut dapat berdampak pada mekanisme pertumbuhan dan morfologi nanofiber yang dihasilkan melalui proses electrospinning. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh variasi komposisi dopan Al dan Co terhadap morfologi nanofiber ZnO. Nanofiber disintesis menggunakan metode electrospinning, diikuti proses kalsinasi dalam furnace, kemudian dikarakterisasi menggunakan Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM JEOL JSM-IT300). Analisis diameter serat dilakukan sebanyak 50 kali pengukuran menggunakan perangkat lunak ImageJ dan Origin. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa variasi komposisi dopan memengaruhi ukuran dan keseragaman diameter serat. Variasi A (100% AlCl₃) menghasilkan diameter rata-rata terkecil sebesar 92,163 nm, sedangkan variasi E (100% CoAc₂) menghasilkan diameter rata-rata terbesar sebesar 155,067 nm dengan rentang ukuran lebih lebar. Variasi B dan C menunjukkan peningkatan diameter rata-rata hingga 139,984 nm dan 134,264 nm, sementara variasi D menurun menjadi 103,443 nm. Perubahan diameter tidak menunjukkan kecenderungan linier terhadap fraksi dopan, sehingga komposisi Al dan Co berperan dalam memodifikasi distribusi dan morfologi serat, namun bukan sebagai pengendali tunggal ukuran serat.

Abstract

Belt conveyor performance is highly dependent on the uniformity of load distribution along the belt. In practical applications—particularly in industrial, retail, and airport environments spatial limitations often force systems to operate under asymmetric loading conditions. This situation introduces a technical problem because uneven load distribution can alter contact pressure, increase belt misalignment, and accelerate mechanical wear. Although numerous studies have explored belt tensioning, pulley design, and material durability, only limited research specifically addresses the influence of asymmetric loads on slip behavior, indicating a gap in understanding the dynamic response of pulley–belt transmission systems. This study aims to experimentally evaluate the effect of asymmetric load distribution on slip characteristics in a conveyor belt transmission. The experimental setup involved shifting the load to the left or right side of the belt, while pulley speed was measured using a PLC-based monitoring system integrated with an inverter controlling a three-phase induction motor. Measurements were conducted at operating frequencies of 5–8 Hz under both symmetric and asymmetric loading scenarios. Results show that under symmetric loading, slip decreased by 0.632% across the tested speed range. Under asymmetric loading, the slip reduction increased to 1%, demonstrating that lateral load shifts generate higher local contact forces and temporarily enhance local transmission efficiency. However, this condition also has the potential to cause belt instability and reduce the lifespan of mechanical components. In conclusion, asymmetric loading significantly affects slip performance, offering short-term efficiency benefits but posing long-term operational risks. These findings provide important practical insight for optimizing conveyor systems operating in environments with constrained or non-uniform load conditions.
