Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze students' mathematical literacy skills in terms of self-confidence in the material of arithmetic sequences and series. This research was conducted at SMAN 4 Jambi City, class Phase E1, academic year 2024/2025. This type of research is qualitative research. The subjects of this study were 6 people consisting of 2 students with each category, namely high, medium, and low. The instruments in this study were in the form of a self-confidence questionnaire, a numeracy literacy ability test sheet and an interview guideline sheet. Based on the results of the questionnaire and test questions on mathematical numeracy literacy skills in terms of self-confidence in the material of arithmetic sequences and series. This study shows that students with a high level of self-confidence have good mathematical numeracy literacy skills by meeting all indicators. While students with a moderate level of self-confidence have fairly good mathematical numeracy literacy skills. The first moderate self-confidence student was able to meet two indicators of mathematical numeracy literacy skills while the second moderate self-confidence student only met one indicator of mathematical numeracy literacy skills. Then, low self-confidence students are less able to fulfill mathematical numeracy literacy skills. The first low self-confidence student only fulfills two indicators of mathematical numeracy literacy skills. The second low self-confidence student only fulfills one indicator of mathematical numeracy literacy skills.

Abstract

Penalaran matematis merupakan kemampuan berpikir logis, melakukan pembuktian, serta menarik kesimpulan dari suatu permasalahan matematika. Dalam meningkatkan kemampuan ini, diperlukan model pembelajaran yang efektif salah satunya adalah model kooperatif. Tipe model kooperatif yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) dan Think Pair Share (TPS) dikombinasikan dengan pendekatan Realistic Mathematic Education (RME). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model kooperatif tipe NHT dan model kooperatif tipe TPS dengan pendekatan RME terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa kelas VII SMP. Metode yang digunakan yaitu kuantitatif dengan true experimental design berbentuk posttest only control group design. Penelitian ini melibatkan siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri 4 Kota Jambi sebagai populasi, dengan teknik cluster random sampling sehingga diperoleh kelas sampel yaitu VII A, VII B, dan VII E.  Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa serta hasil posttest. Analisis data menggunakan One Way ANOVA menghasilkan nilai Asymp. Sig sebesar 0,004 < 0,05 yang menunjukkan bahwa diterima sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya pengaruh signifikan model kooperatif tipe NHT dan model kooperatif tipe TPS dengan pendekatan RME terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa kelas VII SMP.

Abstract

Mathematical literacy plays a crucial role, as many daily human activities are related to mathematics and require literacy skills to solve real-life problems. However, students' mathematical literacy in Indonesia remains relatively low, as shown by international assessments and classroom observations. One effective approach to improve mathematical literacy is STEAM-based learning (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics), which emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration in solving real-world problems. This study aims to enhance junior high school students’ mathematical literacy through the implementation of STEAM-based learning supported by an interactive magazine e-module. The research employed an experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data were analyzed using normality testing and non-parametric hypothesis testing to examine students’ learning progress, along with gain analysis to measure the level of improvement. The results show that students’ mathematical literacy improved after the implementation of the learning approach. These findings support that STEAM-based learning assisted by an interactive e-module can serve as an effective alternative to enhance students’ understanding and application of mathematical concepts in real-life contexts

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai budaya dalam Seloko Adat Melayu Jambi yang dapat digunakan sebagai bahan ajar muatan lokal berbasis Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Data penelitian berupa nilai-nilai budaya yang terkandung dalam Seloko Adat Melayu Jambi, dengan sumber data berasal dari masyarakat Desa Muaro Jambi, Kecamatan Maro Sebo, Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. Informan terdiri dari tokoh adat, Tua-Tua Tengganai, dan pemuka masyarakat. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi rekaman, catatan lapangan, wawancara, dan observasi partisipatif. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik Model Alir Miles dan Huberman, yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan lima nilai budaya utama: Ketaqwaan (hubungan manusia dengan Tuhan) sebagai implementasi dimensi beriman, bertakwa kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, dan berakhlak mulia; Gotong Royong (hubungan manusia dengan masyarakat) sebagai implementasi Dimensi Gotong Royong dan Kebhinekaan Global; Pelestarian Alam (hubungan manusia dengan alam) sebagai implementasi Dimensi Kreatif dan Bernalar Kritis; Tolong Menolong (hubungan manusia dengan masyarakat) sebagai implementasi Dimensi Gotong Royong; serta Kerja Keras (hubungan manusia dengan manusia lain) sebagai implementasi Mandiri dan Kreatif. Nilai-nilai budaya ini relevan sebagai bahan ajar untuk pembentukan karakter siswa sesuai Profil Pelajar Pancasila.

Abstract

The Suku Anak Dalam (SAD) community in Jambi, who largely live nomadically, face serious obstacles in accessing public services and social development. The main cause is the lack of essential population administration documents, such as ID cards (KTP), Family Cards (KK), and birth certificates. This condition limits their civil rights, even though Law No. 24 of 2013 concerning Population Administration clearly guarantees these rights for all citizens. This community service program was designed to address this problem by aiming to broaden the SAD's understanding of their population administration rights and to facilitate the process of obtaining these documents. This activity was implemented by the Universitas Jambi community service team, which also involved student participation through the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program. The program was focused in Sekaladi, Pelempang Village, Mestong District, Muaro Jambi Regency. The implementation methods included intensive socialization, personal assistance, and direct administrative support. The program's results show an increased understanding among the SAD community regarding the importance of population documents. Furthermore, the program successfully assisted many community members in obtaining ID cards, Family Cards, and birth certificates. The positive impact of possessing these documents is evident in their increased access to basic services such as healthcare, education, and social assistance programs. This program provides a tangible contribution to strengthening the civil rights of the SAD and supports the achievement of their social welfare. Abstrak. Masyarakat Suku Anak Dalam (SAD) di Jambi, yang sebagian besar hidup nomaden, menghadapi kendala serius dalam mengakses layanan publik dan pembangunan sosial. Penyebab utamanya adalah ketiadaan dokumen administrasi kependudukan esensial, seperti KTP, Kartu Keluarga (KK), dan akta kelahiran. Kondisi ini membatasi hak sipil mereka, meskipun Undang-Undang No. 24 Tahun 2013 tentang Administrasi Kependudukan secara jelas menjamin hak tersebut bagi seluruh warga negara. Program pengabdian ini dirancang untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut dengan tujuan memperluas wawasan SAD mengenai hak administrasi kependudukan dan memfasilitasi proses perolehan dokumen. Kegiatan ini diimplementasikan oleh tim pengabdian Universitas Jambi, yang turut melibatkan partisipasi mahasiswa melalui program Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM). Lokasi kegiatan difokuskan di Sekaladi, Desa Pelempang, Kecamatan Mestong, Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup sosialisasi intensif, pendampingan personal, dan bantuan administratif secara langsung. Hasil program menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat SAD mengenai pentingnya dokumen kependudukan. Lebih lanjut, program ini berhasil membantu banyak anggota komunitas dalam memperoleh KTP, KK, dan akta kelahiran. Dampak positif dari kepemilikan dokumen ini terlihat dari peningkatan akses mereka terhadap layanan dasar seperti kesehatan, pendidikan, dan program bantuan sosial. Program ini memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam penguatan hak sipil SAD dan mendukung pencapaian kesejahteraan sosial mereka.

Abstract

Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif pada hasil belajar matematika siswa masih tergolong rendah pada tingkatan SMP. Peneliti ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Model Creative Problem Solving terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa di SMP Negeri 17 kota jambi. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan peneliti ekperimen menggunakan desain nonequaivalen. Populasi ini pada penelitian ini yaitu semua kelas VIII SMP Negeri 17 Kota Jambi, sampelnya ada dua kelas yaitu kelas VIII B dan Kelas VIII E. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpukan data yaitu tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan analisis uji indenpendent sample t tes  dengan signifkansi 0,00. Serta dilanjutkan menggunakan uji lanjut effect size yaitu denagn tingkat efek sangat besar yaitu 1,98

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a mathematics game illustrated with Jambi weaving art on the topic of curved-surface solid geometry to train the critical thinking skills of Grade IX students. The study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which in this article was limited to the Development stage. The development process included needs analysis, design, and development of an adventure-based game equipped with reasoning problems, clues, and answer explanations. Product quality was evaluated through validation by content experts and media experts, as well as practicality testing by teachers and students. The results indicate that the developed game falls into the highly feasible category, with content expert validation of 93% and media expert validation of 88%, and is categorized as highly practical based on practicality tests by teachers (84%) and students (92.67%). Therefore, the mathematics game illustrated with Jambi weaving art is deemed feasible and practical for use as an interactive and contextual mathematics learning medium.

Abstract

This study investigated the effectiveness of implementing WEGOS (Web Google Sites) integrated with TikTok within a Differentiated Learning framework to improve students' academic self-efficacy. A quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design was conducted involving 84 second-year students of the Mathematics Education Study Program at the University of Jambi. The experimental group received instruction via WEGOS (Web Google Sites) supported by TikTok-based learning videos in differentiated problem-solving activities, while the control group received conventional instruction. Data were collected using an adapted Academic Self-Efficacy Scale consisting of 20 Likert-type items. The results showed that the experimental group achieved a higher mean posttest score (84.21) compared to the control group (74.35), with a statistically significant difference (p < 0.05). The calculated effect size (Cohen's d = 0.95) indicated a substantial practical impact. These findings suggest that integrating a structured web-based learning environment and short-form social media content in differentiated problem-based learning significantly strengthens students' self-confidence in managing academic tasks. This study contributes to the development of technology-supported differentiated pedagogy in higher education and highlights the importance of aligning digital tools with intentional instructional design to support affective learning outcomes.
