Abstract

Berlatar belakang pada persoalan sampah yang belum sepenuhnya tuntas, tim pelaksana abdimas melaksanakan sosialisasi dan pelatihan di Bank Sampah Hijau Selaras Mandiri. Kegiatan yang mengusung ‘Gerakan 3R’ (reduce, reuse, recycle) melibatkan 30 para ibu rumah tangga yang menjadi peserta dari mitra, bertujuan untuk membentuk kesadaran dan perubahan perilaku dalam mengelola sampah hingga dapat dialihgunakan pemanfaatannya. Mengandalkan metode observasi, penyuluhan, pelatihan hingga pelaporan hasil akhir kegiatan, hasil abdimas menunjukkan antusiasme peserta mengikuti kegiatan dengan memaksimalkan kemampuan serta kreativitas yang menghasilkan nilai kebermanfaatan dari hasil pemanfaatan sampah.

Abstract

Program pengembangan komunitas (community development program) merupakan salah satu agenda kegiatan yang wajib dimiliki perusahaan besar, juga BUMN, termasuk Pertamina. Pada artikel ini, tim pelaksana kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat bersinergi dengan pihak industri guna memberi sumbangsih keilmuan secara nyata di tengah kelompok masyarakat. Adalah UMKM ‘Kampung Kuliner Pujasera Energi’ berlokasi di Kelurahan Tambakharjo (Semarang) menjadi tempat sasaran abdimas. Dalam pelaksanaannya, UMKM yang dibentuk sejak 2019 silam, kini telah menjadi sarana aktualisasi dan pengembangan industri rumah tangga (yakni usaha kuliner) yang telah menunjukkan peningkatan ekonomi bagi pelaku UMKM. Mengusung kerjasama dengan berbagai stakeholder, UMKM terus mengalami perkembangan usaha di bidang kuliner sejalan dengan peningkatan capacity building bagi pelaku aktif UMKM

Abstract

Kegiatan yang mengusung ‘Gerakan 3R’ (reduce, reuse, recycle) melibatkan 30 para ibu rumah tangga yang menjadi peserta dari mitra, bertujuan untuk membentuk kesadaran dan perubahan perilaku dalam mengelola sampah hingga dapat dialihgunakan pemanfaatannya. Mengandalkan metode observasi, penyuluhan, pelatihan hingga pelaporan hasil akhir kegiatan, hasil abdimas menunjukkan antusiasme peserta mengikuti kegiatan dengan memaksimalkan kemampuan serta kreativitas yang menghasilkan nilai kebermanfaatan dari hasil pemanfaatan sampah.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini dilatarbelakangi oleh semakin tergerusnya kepedulian generasi muda akan kuliner khas Betawi (seperti kerak telor, laksa, bir pletok, gado-gado, soto betawi, toge goreng dan sebagainya) yang harus tetap dijaga kelestariannya ditengah persaingan antar kuliner asing/global yang ada. PkM ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan solusi agar terciptanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan komunikasi pemasaran digital dan diselnggarakan melalui metode pelatihan singkat yang menyasar pada sepuluh mitra yang merupakan pedagang kuliner khas Betawi di area Setu Babakan (Jakarta Selatan). Hasil PkM menunjukkan para pedagang memahami teknologi media digital yang dapat membantu percepatan usaha dagang produk makanan yang dijual ke pembeli/pengunjung Setu Babakan. Selain itu, literasi media digital diperlukan mitra demi meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan untuk bersaing dengan penjual lain yang telah terlebih dahulu ‘melek’ teknologi. Hal ini sekaligus menepis kekhawatiran akan imbas kemajuan teknologi terhadap produk yang dijual mitra secara konvensional. Dengan dilaksanakannya PkM ini, melek media digital telah tercapai dimana mitra mulai aktif menggunakan platform media sosial (whatsapp, google, instagram, GoBiz) untuk mengembangkan bisnis kuliner kedepannya. ABSTRACT This Community Service activity is based on the eroding concern of the younger generation for Betawi culinary (such as kerak telor, laksa, bir pletok, gado-gado, soto Betawi, toge goreng and so on) whose preservation must be maintained amidst the competive global culinary. This community service aims to find solutions to increase digital marketing communication knowledge and skills and is held through a short training method targeting ten partners as Betawi culinary traders in the Setu Babakan area (South Jakarta). The community service results that traders understand digital media technology which can help accelerate the trading business of food products sold to buyers/visitors of Setu Babakan. Apart from that, partners need digital media literacy to increase their knowledge and skills to compete with other sellers who are already literate in technology. This also eliminates concerns about the impact of technological advances on products sold by partners conventionally. With the implementation of this community service, digital media literacy has been achieved where partners are starting to actively use social media platforms (WhatsApp, Google, Instagram, GoBiz) to develop their culinary business in the future.

Abstract

This research is titled “Hubungan Implementasi Difusi Inovasi Pada Sistem Sosial Terkait Dengan Penggunaan E-Ticketing Sebagai Pengganti Pembayaran Tunai dan Sistem Antri Terhadap Perilaku Mengadopsi (Survei Pada Mahasiswa Prodi Ilmu Komunikasi Universitas Bunda Mulia Sebagai Pengguna Moda Transportasi Commuter Line, Bekasi-Kota)” using mix method (quantitative and qualitative).Samples—taken from population 1045 from Communications Department’s  students, University of Bunda Mulia, North Jakarta 2011-2014—are 91 persons through stratified random sampling. The hyphotesis are tested whereas there are relations among all (three) variables.             Therefore, among diffusion of innovation, decision of innovation and behavior  of adoption are related one another from validity (r hitung > r tabel) and reability (> 0.60). Also, strengthened by the results of in-depth interviews from ten key informants.            As conclusion and suggestion, it is advised that government can improve facility for the user of commuter line while using e-ticketing as a form of an innovation. Keywords: Diffusion of Innovation, E-ticketing, Behavior of Innovation.

Abstract

Korean Pop (K-Pop) has been endemic in Indonesia, especially in the Rawasari area, East Jakarta. Fans often share information, discuss K-Pop. Their communication behavior to Korea, of course, brings about a change in the culture of communication in Indonesia. This can be a problem for fans and the wider community. Based on the limitations that are focused on verbal communication carried out by KPOP fans in their daily behavior. This can be a problem for fans and the wider community. To find out the communication behavior of Kpop fans in social life, this study aims to find out the fanaticism of KPOP fans which is part of communication behavior. Qualitative research based on this constructivist paradigm found results from informants who live in the Rawasari area (East Jakarta) that Korean Pop (KPOP) is in demand by teenagers/younger generations in Jakarta.

Abstract

In general, broadcasting is a part of communication skill that can be gained through commercial agents/workshop or at university. Besides that, directly practice of broadcasting is still rare announced to public. Based on that situation and condition, Communication Department from Bunda Mulia University tries to share the knowledge of broadcasting through empowerment activity to school that applies broadcasting as the major. In this case, the school needs to implementation in studio room but has not provided by facility yet. Therefore, this empowerment activity runs by giving not only oral material, but also the practice of equipments inside TV studio. In brief, the results of this activity can introduce and enable the students of Sekolah Rakyat Ancol 2 (located in North Jakarta) to actualize their roles as news presenter, camera person, switcher, floor director as a whole unity in a broadcasting process. PKM activities are implemented by combining lecture techniques (giving material) and direct practice. During the initial 60 minutes, students are provided with material related to script writing and broadcasting techniques. In order not to appear stiff, the lecture delivered was supported by the seating arrangement of U shape so that participants surrounded the speakers. Then afterwards, for approximately 2 hours, participants practiced individually and in teams. The results of this study in general explain curiosity indeed strongly encourages participants to practice. It is hoped that in the future, PKM activities will be long-term through training / similar programs with more varied topics / themes.                     Keywords: broadcasting, empowerment, student, folk school

Abstract

ABSTRACT Everyone is able to speak, but only some who are able to gather words into beautiful language and can attract the public to hear it. So, simply speaking public speaking means the ability to speak by "playing" language in front of the public. Public speaking or public speaking is not something that is rare in today's advanced era. All individuals are required to be skilled in speaking in public to convey their goals. In the study of communication, the expertise of public speaking is part of effective communication that is conveying messages to the audience in a way that is appropriate and attracts attention. At present, public speaking is one of the absolute abilities needed in the global era. It is triggered by the demands of the times and the existing technology that forces individuals to compete to improve their quality. The importance of public speaking ability is inseparable from the definition of public speaking itself. In the 'Empowerment for the Community' (PKM) activities involving writers, public speaking training took place at SMA Kristoforus 2 West Jakarta. The reason for targeting students in these schools is none other than to equip students with knowledge related to public speaking skills. The majority of class XI students are not yet fully 'confident' when presenting themselves to the public. Therefore with the method of cermah and practice (practice), students are challenged to be brave in the future and present their opinions.Keywords: Effective communication, Public Speaking, Students

Abstract

In the current era, persuasive technology is increasingly being used in the health and wellness field to help users improve their lifestyle and find information about their health problems. Along with the rapid development of science and technology in this digital era, the field of education is also experiencing the same thing. This research was conducted to examine the use of persuasive technology adoption in the education domain. Along with the rapid development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in this digital era, the field of education is also experiencing technological advances and developments that bring innovation to education. This can be seen from the many digital platforms used by schools to support learning such as Google Classroom, Noosphere, Zoom, Canva For Education, Smart Library, etc. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a post-positivist approach. Research data were obtained from interviews, observations, and studying supporting documents/data. Interviews were conducted with informants, namely teachers and curriculum developers. The theories used in this research are the Media Richness Theory (MRT) and the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). This study concludes that the adoption of persuasive technology that has been implemented by Pahoa Integrated School has been running effectively. In practice, the persuasive technology applied by Pahoa Integrated School has been able to accommodate the communicator (teacher), and the medium (application) to communicants (students). This research can make a real contribution, especially in the field of education at large, so that persuasive technology can be effectively integrated into learning.

Abstract

Social media provides space for perpetrators to commit sexual violence online. Especially regarding the gap in society's views on gender patriarchy. Sextortion, in cases of sexual violence for personal gain, is in the spotlight in understanding gender inequality. This qualitative research seeks to explore the sentiment of public comments regarding sextortion content using the Atlas ti software mechanism. The data collected consists of comments from Instagram users regarding the issue of sextortion. Perempuan Bercerita's Community posted about a sextortion case on Instagram on February 27th, 2023. The content discussed the threats made by the perpetrator, involving sexual relations and the distribution of pornographic videos targeting female victims. The analysis results indicate a total of 54 comments consisting of 9% positive comments, 54% negative comments, and 37% neutral comments. Society still has a low opinion of digital sexual violence; and tends to judge the victim from the side of the action to the perpetrator. Future findings are expected to analyze more deeply the social interaction networks of digital society to understand society's social perspective on gender inequality.
