Abstract

ABSTRAK Komplain pasien terhadap pelayanan petugas kesehatan semakin meningkat. Salah satunya menyangkut komunikasi perawat yang kurang sesuai sehingga menimbulkan ketidakjelasan atau kesalahpahaman. Perawat adalah orang yang seharusnya memahami masalah pasien secara komprehensif. Oleh karena itu komunikasi terapeutik merupakan alat yang ampuh dan keterampilan yang penting yang dapat berkontribusi besar dalam meningkatkan pelayanan kepada pasien. Namun dalam pelaksanaannya banyak hal yang mempengaruhi penerapan komunikasi terapeutik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan penerapan komunikasi terapeutik perawat di RSUD Dr. Soeratno Gemolong. Subyek penelitian : perawat RSUD Dr. Soeratno Gemolong. Metode : analitik dengan desain korelasi. Uji statistik dengan Kendall’s Tau. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan tidak terdapat hubungan jenis kelamin dengan penerapan komunikasi terapeutik perawat p = 0.416, tidak terdapat hubungan tingkat pengetahuan dengan penerapan komunikasi terapeutik perawat p = 0.925 dan terdapat hubungan persepsi dengan penerapan komunikasi terapeutik perawat. p = 0.014. Jenis kelamin dan tingkat pengetahuan tidak berhubungan dengan penerapan komunikasi terapeutik sedangkan persepsi berhubungan dengan penerapan komunikasi terapeutik. Kata kunci: jenis kelamin, tingkat pendidikan, persepsi, penerapan komunikasi terapeutik. ABSTRACT Patient complaints about health care services are increasing. One of them concerns nurse communication that is not right so that it creates obscurity or misunderstanding. Nurses are people who should comprehend patient problems comprehensively. Therefore therapeutic communication is a powerful tool and important skills that can contribute greatly to improving service to patients. But in its implementation many things affect the application of therapeutic communication. The purpose of the study was to determine the factors associated with the application of therapeutic communication nurses at Dr. Soeratno Gemolong hospital. Research subjects were nurses at Dr. Soeratno Gemolong hospital. Analytic with correlation design. Statistics test with Kendall’s Tau. There was no relationship between gender with the application of therapeutic communication nurses p = 0.416, there is no relationship between the level of knowledge and the application of therapeutic communication nurses p = 0.925 and there is a relationship of perception with the application of nurse therapeutic communication. p = 0.014. Conclusion: gender and level of knowledge are not related to the application of therapeutic communication while perceptions are related to the application of therapeutic communication. Abstract

The number of cancer patients is increasing from year to year, the low cure rate of cancer patients increasingly shows many influencing factors. For patients diagnosed with cancer, initial health conditions will decline. In this situation, it is necessary to fulfill the spiritual health needs of cancer patients to reduce the negative impact on the patient's quality of life. To deal with cancer disease management such as: chemotherapy, surgery, radiotherapy requires a good quality of life so as not to slow down the healing process. The purpose of this study was to explain the relationship between the fulfillment of basic spiritual health needs and the quality of life of cancer patients. This type of research is an observational analytic with a crosssectional design to determine the relationship between fulfilling basic spiritual health needs and the quality of life of cancer patients. The study population was cancer patients at the Indonesian Cancer Foundation, Cancer Patient Shelter and Patients at Dr. Moewardi Surakarta Hospital. The study sample size was 100 respondents who were taken using non-probability sampling technique type purposive sampling. The instrument used was a questionnaire and data analysis using the Pearson Chi Square test. The results showed that the majority of respondents' gender was female (65%), the majority of respondents' last education was elementary school or equivalent (49%), the majority of respondents' spiritual health was in the moderate category (68%) and the majority of respondents' quality of life was in the good category (69%). The results of the Pearson Chi Square test analysis showed that there was a statistically significant relationship between the fulfillment of basic human needs for spiritual health and the quality of life of cancer patients (p=0.018). The entire health team caring for patients with cancer should be able to fulfill the spiritual needs of patients as much as possible by involving support from the family.
