Abstract

This research study inverstigated the effects of using cooperative learning to improve students’ motivation in first semester English class of law faculty in Wijaya Kusuma University Purwokerto. Motivation becomes some processes that controls and maintains certain behaviors. Everyone experiences lack of motivation from time to time. Some students sometimes get a sense that they are fear of failure. Furthermore, students need to have mastery experiences increase confidence and willingness to try interesting and more challenging tasks to build their motivation. Concerning the problems of teaching reading in the class, the study used cooperative learning method to find out whether cooperative learning technique could enhance students’ motivation in English class. Cooperative learning type in this class is used as group discussions. The design employed in this research was Classroom Action Research. The study was conducted at the first semester students in law faculty of Wijaya Kusuma University Purwokerto. The class consisted of 24 students. Observation, questionnaire, evaluation sheet and students’ reading test were implemented as instruments to collect the data. To measure students’ motivation there were five observation aspects. These five observation aspects measured when teaching learning activities in classroom. The teacher was observed and taking notes for each observation aspect. They were asking questions, answering question, active in discussion and share the information, comprehending text easily and enthusiastic in doing assignments. The five observation aspects also created a lot of influence and improvement based on the observation since first meeting till 8 meeting. The findings of the study can be concluded that cooperative learning method showed and improved students’ motivation.

Abstract

This study analyzes the pragmatic elements used in the legal texis issued by Pengadilan Tinggi DKI Jakarta. This study aims to determine how the selection and use of deixis in corruption case decisions at the Jakarta high court. It referred to by the speaker and influenced by the meaning of the conversation. Data analysis was conducted by serving the text of the verdict on corruption cases issued at the Jakarta high court for 8 weeks. It was concluded that four types of deixis were used. They are place deixis, discourse deixis, first person, and demonstrative deixis

Abstract

Articles 31 to 34 explain that the responsibility for providing maintenance for the wife lies with the husband, and it is also explained in Article 31 that each party has the same rights before the law, then the husband is the head of the family and the wife is the housewife, then Article 34 explained that the husband is obliged to protect his wife and the wife is obliged to manage the household as well as possible. According to feminists, it defines marriage for women and men equally, so that the division of research between women and men causes women's rights to be unequal in society. Because women are not considered the main breadwinners, these provisions also place the wife economically and emotionally dependent on her husband. The purpose of this research is to find out the feminist view of the wife's work as the breadwinner for the family. This research method uses normative juridical. The data used in this study are secondary data as the main data consisting of primary legal materials, secondary legal materials and tertiary legal materials. The data obtained was then analyzed qualitatively. The conclusion is that the views of feminists on the role of the wife as breadwinner, in this case men are responsible for earning a living in order to meet the needs of the household or family. This division of roles between women and men causes women's rights to be unequal in society. Because women are not considered the main breadwinners, the affirmation of the husband as the head of the family and the wife as a housewife in Law Number 1 of 1974 which was revised by Law Number 16 of 2019 concerning Marriage according to feminists is a tightening/restriction of the wife's functions and husband strictly. This provision also places the wife economically and emotionally dependent on her husband.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the content and linguistic elements of wills content by lovers who were found dead in Tana Toraja and analyze the factors that cause suicide. This research uses descriptive qualitative text analysis methods. The source of data was obtained from the wills of lovers who were found dead in Tana Toraja in the form of written data, excerpts, or entire documents containing a description of the letter. Data analysis is a reading technique, understanding of suicide cases, and linguistic analysis. The stages of data analysis are as follows: case studies deepening understanding, reading/studying data, marking keywords and ideas contained in the data, studying those keywords, trying to find themes derived from data, and writing down 'models' found based on coding that has been done.  The content of the linguistic forensic text of suicide cases uses vocabulary that is unusual in the context, direct speech that refers to remorse, inferiority, warning, mentioning something necessary, desirable things, no hesitation in action, and Factors that cause suicide cases.

Abstract

Berbicara adalah proses interaktif membangun makna yang melibatkan memproduksi dan menerima dan memproses informasi (Brown, 1994; Burns & Joyce, 1997). Bentuk dan maknanya tergantung pada konteks di mana ia terjadi, termasuk para peserta itu sendiri, pengalaman kolektif mereka, lingkungan fisik, dan tujuan untuk berbicara. Seringkali bersifat spontan, terbuka, dan berevolusi. Namun, pada evaluasi hasil pembelajaran speaking (berbicara) masih jauh dari harapan. Banyak siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam pembelajaran berbicara, salah satu faktor yang harus di analisa adalah juga dari strategi pembelajaran yang kurang menarik, dan hubungan/interaksi antar siswa yang belum sesuai harapan. Di samping itu, keterbatasan pemahaman guru mengenai strategi pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara mengakibatkan kesenjangan antara harapan dan kenyataan semakin terlihat. Padahal, strategi pembelajaran adalah salah satu aspek yang menentukan keberhasilan pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, guru dituntut memiliki pemahaman yang memadai dan mampu menerapkan berbagai strategi dalam pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara. Strategi pembelajaran yang dipilih adalah diskusi kelompok dan hendaknya mampu memberikan kesempatan seluas luasnya kepada siswa untuk berlatih berbicara, bukan sekadar belajar tentang bahasa. Penulis melakukan pengamatan yang dilakukan selama dua bulan menjadi 8 kali pertemuan di kelas Speaking mata kuliah Bahasa Inggris. Pengamatan dilakukan selama delapan kali dengan rentang waktu selama satu minggu sekali dalam 2 bulan, yaitu pada tanggal 1 Oktober 2022 sampai dengan 19 November 2022 diruang kuliah 2. Kriteria penilaian speaking terdiri dari intonasi (intonation), pengucapan (pronounciation), tata bahasa (grammer), kelancaran bicara (fluency), gaya bicara (diction). Rentang nilai terdiri di setiap kriteria dengan angka 1-5. Angka tersebut menandakan, mahasiswa yang semakin baik nilainya maka mendapatkan rentang nilai semakin tinggi.

Abstract

Hukum Fara’idh merupakan seperangkat ketentuan yang mengatur cara-cara peralihan hak dari seseorang yang telah meninggal dunia kepada orang yang masihhidup dengan ketentuan-ketentuan berdasarkan pada al-Qur’an dan hadits. Hukumkewarisan Islam pada dasarnya berlaku wajib untuk umat Islam di mana saja di dunia ini, kendati demikian, corak suatu Negara Islam dan kehidupan masyarakat di suatu negara atau daerah tersebut memiliki pengaruh atas hukum kewarisan tersebut. Permasalahan yang terjadi dalam penerapan sistem kewarisan Islam salah satunya ialah meninggalnya terlebih dahulu ahli waris sebelum pewaris meninggal dunia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kedudukan dan hak bagi keturunan ahli waris yang meninggal terlebih dahulu ditinjau dari Kompilasi Hukum Islam dan Fiqih Islam di Indonesia. Metode pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif diambil dari data primer dan data sekunder dengan bahan hukum primer, bahan hukum sekunder dan bahan hukum tersier. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan adalah kedudukan dan hak dari keturunan ahli waris yang meninggal terlebih dahulu ialah dapat menggantikan posisi orang tuanya berdasarkan Kompilasi Hukum Islam dan Fiqih Islam.

Abstract

Peraturan Desa adalah peraturan yang dibuat dan disahkan oleh Pemerintah Desa untuk mengatur kehidupan masyarakat di wilayah desa. Isi peraturan desa harus selaras dengan aturan yang telah ditetapkan di tingkat yang lebih tinggi, seperti peraturan daerah dan undang-undang. Peraturan Desa mengatur segala aspek kehidupan di desa, mulai dari tata cara pelaksanaan pemerintahan desa, pembangunan desa, pertanian, perikanan, koperasi, keamanan dan ketertiban, serta segala bidang yang berkaitan dengan kehidupan masyarakat desa. Peraturan desa sangat penting untuk dijadikan sebagai acuan dalam mengatur kehidupan di desa, demi mencapai tujuan menciptakan ketertiban, kesejahteraan dan keadilan bagi seluruh masyarakat desa. Kurangnya dukungan atau partisipasi masyarakat di Desa Jeruk Agung Kecamatan Klirong Kabupaten Kebumen, dan kurangnya sosialisasi serta pelatihan bagi sumber daya manusia perangkat desa dan Badan Permusyawaratan Desa (BPD) menjadi kendala utama dalam membentuk peraturan desa. Melalui penyuluhan hukum tentang Pembentukan Peraturan Desa (Perdes) diharapkan Pemerintah Desa, BPD dan Masyarakat semakin memahami pentingnya Peraturan Desa sebagai instrument hukum yang menjamin kepastian hukum dan perlindungan hukum masyarakat desa. Undang-Undang Nomor 6 Tahun 2014 Tentang Desa menjadi landasan kewenangan Pemerintah Desa untuk membentuk Peraturan Desa. UU Desa telah menyatakan bahwa peraturan desa dilarang bertentangan dengan kepentingan umum dan/atau ketentuan peraturan perundang-undangan yang lebih tinggi. Teknik penyusunan peraturan desa tunduk pada kaidah penyusunan peraturan perundang-undangan yang diatur dalam Undang-Undang Nomor 12 Tahun 2011 tentang Pembentukan Peraturan Perundang-Undangan.

Abstract

The demands of an increasingly modern era make the needs move very quickly to affect income and employment. There are some Indonesians who choose to work abroad to meet their needs and help their families. This legal counseling aims to provide understanding to students, parents, teachers, the elderly, candidates for employment with disabilities and all other levels of society who may be vulnerable to crime in prospective workers abroad so as to gain a legal understanding of working abroad legally and safely. It is hoped that the community can participate in developing and maintaining what is good and realize that goodness in daily life wholeheartedly, becoming a habit that is continuously practiced and carried out every day. Ease of legal understanding of working abroad legally and safely.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic had a significant impact on the decline in the national and global economy. The third quarter of 2020 is an important and challenging momentum to restore the national economy. This legal counseling aims to provide understanding to students, parents, teachers, the elderly, people with disabilities and all other levels of society who act as implementers of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in the Alian District, Kebumen Regency, so as to gain an understanding of strengthening Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises as a driver of economic recovery. It is hoped that the community can participate in developing and maintaining what is good and realize that goodness in daily life wholeheartedly, becoming a habit that is continuously practiced and carried out every day. Hopefully people can get ease of understanding Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises implementers in Alian District, Kebumen Regency.
