Abstract

The increase in cloud cover is an important indicator in predicting upcoming weather. However, manual observations of cloud cover are still limited and time-consuming. Therefore, this research aims to develop a cloud cover classification model based on measurement data in Lolai using the Naive Bayes machine learning method. In this study, data on cloud cover, temperature, and humidity measurements were collected directly in Lolai for 30 days and using online BMKG data. Then, the data was processed and divided into training and testing datasets. The Naive Bayes model was applied to the training data and its accuracy was tested on the testing data. The research results show that the cloud cover classification model based on Naive Bayes has varying accuracy levels depending on the data source. For direct measurement data, the model achieved an accuracy rate of 63%, while for online BMKG data, the model achieved an accuracy rate of 80%. In testing on the testing data, the model successfully classified cloud cover based on temperature and humidity data. This research contributes to identifying the relationship between temperature, humidity, and cloud conditions and evaluates the performance of the Naive Bayes model in determining the influence of air temperature and humidity on cloud conditions. It is expected that this research can serve as a basis for the development of weather prediction systems in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the accuracy of current measurements in solar power systems using the ACS712 sensor and linear regression modeling. While the ACS712 sensor is commonly used for current measurement in solar systems, it often faces accuracy issues. In this research, we measured current using the ACS712 sensor alongside a validated reference device and applied a linear regression model to correct any inaccuracies. The results show that our linear regression model significantly boosts the accuracy of ACS712 sensor current measurements. We also conducted performance tests with the model on the Arduino Uno platform, which revealed increased measurement accuracy in various testing scenarios. Before implementing the model, the average difference between ACS712 sensor measurements and reference device readings was 0.364. After implementing the model, this difference dropped substantially to just 0.044.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the main cutting edge angle of HSS (high speed steel) chisel and the depth of cut on the cylindricity of ST 60 steel workpiece in the longitudinal turning process. The material used is ST 60 steel with a specimen length of 200 mm and a diameter of 30 mm and turned along 200 mm using variations of the main cutting edge angle, Kr (30, 45, 60, 90o) and the depth of cut, a (0.5; 1; 1.5; 2.0 mm) and other variables are set at constant conditions. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the variation of the SS chisel cutting angle in the turning process produces an average total cylindricity value at a cutting angle of Kr 30o = 0.95 mm, Kr: 45o = 0.65 mm, Kr: 60o = 0.45 mm in other words, it can be concluded that the optimal cylindricity value occurs at a cutting angle of 90o = 0.15 mm. While the average cylindricity value at a cutting depth of a: 0.5 mm = 0.25 mm, a: 1 mm = 0.35 mm, a: 1.5 mm = 0.55 mm, a: 2.0 = 0.60 in other words that the optimal total cylindricity value is obtained at a cutting depth of 0.5 mm.

Abstract

Surface roughness is an important aspect in machining that affects the appearance and function of the product. This study examines the effect of spindle speed and depth of cut on the surface roughness of ST 42 steel using HSS tools. Workpieces with a length of 300 mm and a diameter of 25 mm were processed with variations in spindle speed of 250, 350, and 450 rpm and depths of cut of 0.6, 0.7, and 0.8 mm. Roughness measurements were carried out using a surface tester. The results showed that at 250 rpm, the surface roughness was 0.0554 μm, at 350 rpm, 0.0517 μm, and at 450 rpm, 0.0416 μm. For the depth of cut, the roughness values were 0.0509 μm (0.6 mm), 0.0523 μm (0.7 mm), and 0.0542 μm (0.8 mm), respectively. The conclusion shows that increasing spindle speed reduces surface roughness, while depth of cut has a less significant effect.

Abstract

This research aims to apply the Aztec Code technology to design an Android-based inter-district bus ticket reservation system in South Sulawesi. So far, bus ticket reservations are still made via telephone and even come directly to bus representatives, and the tickets given are still in conventional form. The method used in the implementation uses the Aztec Code, where the Aztec Code will be obtained in digital bus tickets or printed form. Aztec Code is a code that can store alphanumeric information that can be scanned, which makes the Aztec Code easier to read in the scanning process. Furthermore, an Android-based platform is used for smartphone devices in building the system. The result of the research is to design a system that can be used in making bus ticket reservations that are applied to Bintang Prima Makassar, which uses Aztec Code technology and has a good level of ease of reading when scanning the code. Based on the functional testing of the system, valid data is generated.

Abstract

Promosi wisata lokal menjadi elemen penting dalam meningkatkan daya tarik wisatawan dan ekonomi masyarakat sekitar. Wisata Museum Tongkonan Kollo-Kollo, yang terletak di Kelurahan Balusu, Toraja Utara, memiliki potensi besar namun belum dikelola secara optimal. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan Wisata Museum Tongkonan Kollo-Kollo melalui tiga kegiatan utama: penataan lokasi untuk meningkatkan kenyamanan dan estetika, produksi kaos bergambar ikon wisata, dan pembuatan konten video YouTube. Pendekatan kolaboratif dengan masyarakat diterapkan untuk memastikan keberlanjutan program. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan kunjungan wisata dan kesadaran masyarakat lokal akan potensi wisata daerah mereka

Abstract

Solar energy is one of the alternative energy sources to produce electrical energy which is included in renewable energy and is environmentally friendly with low pollution levels. The PLTS system is one of the generating systems that utilise sunlight energy to produce electrical energy and has the potential to be developed in Indonesia. In this research, the design and analysis of the PLTS system in the UKI Toraja Faculty of Engineering building whose electrical energy supply still depends entirely on PLN. The solar modules needed are 92 panels with a capacity of 200 Wp each panel, and the inverter used is 1 piece with a capacity of 1000V. Economic analysis which includes the value of the parameter needs in the Faculty of Engineering building of the Universitas Kristen Indonesia Toraja with an initial investment of Rp.290,910,000, maintenance and operational costs of Rp.2,909,100, life cycle costs of Rp.315,409,567.47, and annual cash inflows of Rp.37,479,568.75, investment feasibility analysis which includes a net present value of Rp.346,199.22, a profitability index of 1.00119, a discounted payback period of 8 years and 5 months, and an internal rate of return of 11.020%.

Abstract

Pertumbuhan dan produktivitas tanaman cabai Katokkon sangat dipengaruhi oleh kondisi lingkungan, terutama kelembaban tanah. Kelembaban yang terlalu tinggi atau rendah dapat menyebabkan pertumbuhan yang terhambat bahkan kematian pada tanaman. Oleh karena itu, penting untuk melakukan pemantauan kelembaban tanah dengan keakurasian yang baik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menilai akurasi pengukuran kelembaban tanah menggunakan alat yang telah dirancang, serta mengembangkan sistem pemantauan kelembaban tanah pada lahan cabai Katokkon berbasis Internet of Things (IoT). Teknologi IoT memberikan cara yang praktis bagi pengguna, termasuk petani, untuk memantau kondisi lahan mereka secara jarak jauh tanpa harus hadir langsung, sehingga dapat menghemat waktu secara signifikan. Jenis metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode pendekatan kuantitatif. Data yang dikumpulkan terdiri dari pembacaan kelembaban tanah yang diambil menggunakan sensor dan soil tester. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dikelompokkan berdasarkan variabel tertentu, dilanjutkan dengan pengujian dan pengukuran kesalahan menggunakan pemodelan regresi linear. Hasil pengukuran kelembaban tanah dengan alat rancangan menunjukkan tingkat akurasi yang sangat tinggi, yaitu 98,85%, dengan margin error sebesar 1,162. Tingkat akurasi yang tinggi ini menunjukkan bahwa alat yang dikembangkan layak digunakan untuk mengukur kelembaban tanah pada berbagai kondisi, khususnya untuk tanaman cabai Katokkon. Dengan alat ini, petani dapat lebih mudah memantau dan mengelola kelembaban tanah, yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan produktivitas tanaman cabai Katokkon. The growth and productivity of Katokkon chili plants are greatly influenced by environmental conditions, especially soil moisture. Excessively high or low moisture can hinder growth and even cause plant death. Therefore, it is important to monitor soil moisture with high accuracy. The aim of this study is to assess the accuracy of soil moisture measurements using a specially designed tool and to develop an Internet of Things (IoT)-based soil moisture monitoring system for Katokkon chili fields. IoT technology offers a practical way for users, including farmers, to remotely monitor their land conditions without the need for direct presence, thus saving significant time. The research method used in this study is a quantitative approach. The data collected consists of soil moisture readings taken using a sensor and a soil tester. The data obtained is then grouped based on certain variables, followed by error testing and measurement using linear regression modeling. The results of soil moisture measurements with the designed tool show a very high accuracy rate of 98.85%, with a margin of error of 1.162. This high accuracy indicates that the developed tool is suitable for measuring soil moisture under various conditions, particularly for Katokkon chili plants. With this tool, farmers can more easily monitor and manage soil moisture, which is expected to improve the growth and productivity of Katokkon chili plants.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the accuracy of the branch current analysis method through three approaches: theoretical calculation, simulation using Electronics Workbench (EWB), and experimental measurement using a digital multimeter. The test circuit consists of two 10 V DC voltage sources and three resistors (R1 = 2200 Ω, R2 = 2200 Ω, R3 = 1000 Ω) forming two loops with three branch currents (I1, I2, I3). The theoretical analysis was performed by applying Kirchhoff’s Current Law (KCL) and Kirchhoff’s Voltage Law (KVL), while the simulation was conducted in EWB software with the same configuration. Direct measurements were obtained by connecting the multimeter in series with each branch. The results show that the simulated current values closely match the theoretical calculations, with a maximum relative error of 0.0084% and an accuracy of 99%. Meanwhile, the experimental measurements exhibit larger deviations compared to the simulation, ranging from 1% to 2 %, with accuracies between 97% and 98%. Overall, the study demonstrates that the branch current method produces consistent results between theoretical calculations and simulations, while the experimental measurements show deviations that remain within acceptable limits due to component tolerances, connection resistance, and instrument accuracy.

Abstract

Game edukasi penanggulangan bencana banjir merupakan Game yang telah dirancang oleh penulis pada tahun 2019 bekerja sama dengan Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah Kota Makassar. Game edukasi penanggulangan bencana banjir ini ditunjukkan bagi masyarakat Kota Makassar yang terkena dampak banjir, agar dapat mengetahui langkah apa yang harus dilakukan jika terjadi bencana banjir. manajemen bencana menggunakan model standar ISO/IEC 9126. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengukur kualitas pendidikan game adalah model standar ISO/IEC 9126, standar ISO/IEC 9126 merupakan bagian dari standar ISO 9000 yang merupakan standar terpenting dalam bidang penjaminan mutu berupa totalitas. perangkat lunak yang terdiri dari fungsionalitas, keandalan, kegunaan, efisiensi, pemeliharaan, dan portabilitas. Hasil kajian berdasarkan model standar ISO/IEC 9126 adalah pengukuran masing-masing indikator dengan hasil 1,4% sangat tidak setuju, 2,8% tidak setuju, 84,1% setuju dan 11,7% sangat setuju.
