Abstract

Housewives (RT) in one of the Talun Districts are active in activities every month, namely “arisan”. Unfortunately, those who are members of the RT Community just fill their spare time because on average they don't work in the formal sector. They want to increase their potential by not forgetting their obligations as wives or mothers at home. This is urgent to do to increase the potential of women in order to produce superior resources. Currently, women's participation in the business sector is increasing. This is due to the provision of equal and fair opportunities for women to carry out business activities, so that it is expected to help improve the family economy. Thus, it cannot be denied that women can strengthen the economic resilience of families and communities. Therefore, the team seeks to take advantage of opportunities to increase the potential of mothers by providing appropriate skills, raw materials that are easily available and having economic values. This skill is the decoupage. Method used to carry out community service in the form of lectures, questions and answers, and practice through four stages starting from the analysis process to determining the target output. The results obtained by partners are very enthusiastic and have a desire to practice independently to be more skilled. In addition, the participants had mastered the knowledge of techniques for making decoupage crafts and marketing.

Abstract

Representasi merupakan salah satu kemampuan penting yang harus dikembangkan dalam pembelajaran matematika, namun dalam kenyataannya kemampuan representasi siswa masih tergolong rendah. Rendahnya kemampuan representasi matematis dapatditingkatkan melalui pembelajaran yang menggunakan berbagai model, pendekatan,metode, strategi pembelajaran serta bahan ajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmengembangkan bahan ajar berupa LKS yang dapat menumbuhkan kemampuanrepresentasi matematis siswa. Penelitian ini menghasilkan: bahan ajar berupa LKSmatematika terhadap kemampuan representasi matematis pada materi statistika dimanahasil persentase validasi bahan ajar LKS oleh ahli adalah sebesar 94% yang termasukdalam kriteria sangat valid yang berarti LKS tersebut layak digunakan dalam pembelajaranmateri statistika.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya pemahaman matematis siswa di masa pandemi. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran dilakukan secara daring yang merupakan hal baru bagi siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa SMK kelas XI pada materi vektor. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI salah satu SMK di kota Cirebon yang berjumlah dua orang laki-laki. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif jenis studi kasus dengan menganalisis jawaban siswa dan hasil wawancara. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan pemahaman matematis dan lembar wawancara. Tes digunakan untuk memberikan penjelasan yang lebih mendalam tentang kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa, sedangkan wawancara digunakan untuk mengecek jawaban terhadap soal yang telah dikerjakan oleh siswa. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah siswa yang berkemampuan tinggi memiliki kemampuan pemahaman matematis tinggi dengan persentase 90%, sedangkan siswa berkemampuan sedang memiliki kemampuan pemahaman matematis sedang dengan persentase 56,7%. Dengan kata lain, siswa yang berkemampuan tinggi memiliki kemampuan pemahaman matematis tinggi sedangkan siswa berkemampuan sedang memiliki kemampuan pemahaman matematis sedang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media pembelajaran dengan macromedia flash pada mata kuliah kapita selekta matematika dasar. Tahap pengembangan media pembelajaran yaitu ADD (Analysis, Design, Development). Kegiatan pada tahap analysis meliputi analisis kebutuhan dan identifikasi kebutuhan. Tahap design peneliti melakukan empat kegiatan yaitu mengumpulkan referensi, penyusunan teks, pemilihan media dan desain media. Sedangkan untuk tahap development yaitu mewujudkan desain menjadi sebuah produk kemudian di beri penilain oleh dua validator dengan 1 ahli media dan 1 ahli materi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui lembar validasi media pembelajaran dan teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan cara kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Melalui proses pengembangan penelitian diperoleh alat pembelajaran matematika dalam bentuk  media yang valid sebesar  91,5%.

Abstract

Almost everyone has a smartphone, including students. The potential for open application development on Android and the increasing number of people using smartphones allow them to use technology to support activities in the world of education, one of which is mobile learning. Educational games are a part of mobile learning. The purpose of the Community Service (PKM) activity is to improve students' abilities in utilizing technology through training in Android-based educational games assisted by RPG Maker. Through the making of this educational game, students can develop an interest in IT and learn mathematics. Participants in the PKM activities were students of Al-Azhar 5 Islamic High School Cirebon City who became the KIR community members. This service method consisted of three stages, namely preparation, implementation of training, and evaluation. The indicators of this activity's achievement include students being able to make maps, prologues, bring up avatars, create questions, create dialogues, battle, move one character from one map to another, and deploy games successfully controlled by participants. During the training, the participants were very enthusiastic in listening to the material and were active in making educational games.(Hampir setiap orang memiliki smartphone termasuk pelajar. Potensi pengembangan aplikasi yang terbuka pada Android dan semakin banyaknya masyarakat yang menggunakan smartphone, membuka peluang teknologi ini dapat digunakan untuk mendukung aktivitas dalam dunia pendidikan salah satunya adalah mobile learning. Game edukasi merupakan salah satu bagian dari mobile learning. Tujuan dari kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarat (PKM) adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam memanfaatkan teknologi melalui pelatihan game edukasi berbasis Android berbantuan RPG Maker. Melalui pembuatan game edukasi ini, siswa dapat mengembangkan minat di bidang IT sekaligus belajar matematika. Peserta dalam kegiatan PKM adalah siswa SMA Islam Al-Azhar 5 Kota Cirebon yang tergabung dalam komunitas KIR. Metode dalam pengabdian ini terdiri dari tiga tahap yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan pelatihan, dan evaluasi. Indikator ketercapaian kegiatan ini diantaranya siswa mampu membuat map, prolog, memunculkan avatar, membuat soal, membuat dialog, battle, memindahkan satu tokoh dari map satu ke map yang lain, serta mendeploy game berhasil dikuasai oleh peserta. Selama pelatihan berlangsung, peserta sangat antusias dalam menyimak materi dan aktif dalam pembuatan game edukasi).

Abstract

Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran matematika di kelas dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran yaitu alat peraga manipulatif. Sumber daya lingkungan sekitar sekolah dapat dimanfaatkan untuk membuat alat peraga yang sederhana. Konsep matematika yang abstrak dapat dijembatani dengan keberadaan bahan manipulatif ini. Selain itu, siswa sekolah dasar yang pola perkembangan kognitifnya berada pada tahapan operasional konkrit, dapat lebih mudah memahami konsep matematika dan lebih termotivasi lagi untuk belajar. Berdasarkan observasi awal yang telah dilakukan di SDN II Kedungjaya Kabupaten Cirebon, diperoleh informasi bahwa guru memberikan materi dengan berpedoman pada buku paket saja, dan jarang menggunakan alat peraga. Guru sering kehabisan waktu jika menggunakan alat peraga. Adapun tujuan dari pengabdian ini yaitu memberikan pelatihan, keterampilan pada guru untuk mengembangkan dan membuat alat peraga manipulatif dengan bahan utama botol atau plastik. Metode pengabdian ini terbagi menjadi tiga tahap, yaitu analisis, desain dan pembuatan alat peraga manipulatif. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi wawancara terstruktur, angket dan dokumentasi. Dari hasil pengabdian yang telah diselenggarakan, guru-guru sangat antusias dalam mengikuti kegiatan workshop. Hal ini ditandai dengan banyaknya pertanyaan, dan sharing tentang pembelajaran yang telah dilakukan selama ini. Guru-guru pun mencoba membuat alat peraga dari bahan manipulatif yang akan diimplementasikan di kelas nya masing-masing.

Abstract

The use of manipulative teaching aids becomes a must when teachers explain mathematical concepts to students at the elementary school level (SD). Teaching aids can bridge the thinking patterns of elementary school students who are still in the concrete operational stage and abstract mathematical concepts. The purpose of this Community Service (PKM) activity is to provide training by utilizing waste such as mica plastic as manipulative teaching aids to explain concepts at One Roof Source Elementary School. The methods in this service activity are question and answer, demo and simulation. The flow or stages of service activities begin with an initial survey, coordination, implementation of training, evaluation, and preparation of reports. The results of the training on the use of mica plastic as manipulative teaching aids include increasing teacher knowledge regarding materials that can be used as teaching aids. In addition, the number of participants who attended was in accordance with the target, there was a positive response from participants in using mica/waste plastic as manipulative props, enthusiasm and interest in activity participants. As a recommendation, the team will design teaching aids from other waste that are attractive, varied, inexpensive, and easy to obtain as an effort to improve the quality of learning and teacher professionalism. Penggunaan alat peraga manipulatif menjadi sebuah keharusan ketika guru menjelaskan konsep matematika pada siswa di jenjang Sekolah Dasar (SD). Alat peraga dapat menjembatani pola berpikir siswa SD yang masih dalam tahap operasional konkrit dan konsep matematika yang bersifat abstrak. Tujuan kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini adalah memberikan pelatihan dengan memanfaatkan limbah seperti plastik mika sebagai alat peraga manipulatif untuk menjelaskan konsep pecahan di SDN Satu Atap Sumber. Metode dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu tanya jawab, demonstrasi dan simulasi. Adapun alur atau tahapan kegiatan pengabdian diawali dengan survey awal, koordinasi, pelaksanaan pelatihan, evaluasi, dan penyusunan laporan. Hasil dari pelatihan pemanfaatan plastik mika sebagai alat peraga manipulatif diantaranya menambah pengetahuan guru terkait bahan yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai alat peraga. Selain itu jumlah peserta yang hadir sesuai dengan target, adanya respons positif peserta dalam memanfaatkan plastik mika/limbah sebagai alat peraga manipulatif, antusiasme dan ketertarikan peserta terhadap kegiatan pelatihan. Sebagai rekomendasi tim akan merancang alat peraga dari limbah lainnya yang menarik, variatif, murah, dan mudah didapatkan sebagai upaya peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran dan profesionalisme guru.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how students 'activities in using the problem posing learning model with the help of Camtasia software affect to the ability of Mathematical Understanding, find out how the influence of the problem posing learning model with the help of Camtasia software on the Students' Mathematical Understanding Ability, to determine student responses in learning using problem posing learning models with the help of Camtasia software. The research is experimental method with the population all students of grade X in 7th State Senior High School Cirebon City. The respondent selected used purposive sampling technique. By comparing pretest (before being given treatment) with posttest (already given treatment). Data collection techniques using tests, observations and questionnaires. Data analysis used observation analysis, normality test, regression test and t test. The results of this study indicate that the learning outcomes of students whose learning using Camtasia-based video media is better than students with conventional learning models.

Abstract

The learning process that has taken place so far is still teacher-centered, dominated by high-achieving students, and the learning atmosphere is not conducive. The use of Learning Media Matrix Operation Board (POM) is expected to direct attention and stimulate students' minds to respond to a lesson. This study aims to determine student responses to the use of POM Learning Media, increase the ability to understand mathematical concepts using the Matrix Operation Board Learning Media, classical completeness and individual completeness of students using POM Media. The method used in this research is the experimental method. The research was conducted at SMK Negeri 1 Lemahabang with purposive sampling technique, namely class X TKJ 1. The results showed that the student's response to learning using a matrix operation board was 83.76%, so the response rate was very strong. there is an increase in the ability to understand mathematical concepts using POM media, the average increase reaches 0.64 with moderate interpretation. Individual completeness can be seen from the average acquisition of individual students, which is 72.2, while the classical completeness of the percentage of students is 80% complete in learning the matrix operation material. POM media can improve students' ability to understand mathematical concepts.

Abstract

The background of this research is the importance of involving technology in the learning process. This study aims to see teachers’ interests, beliefs, and teaching processes using Adobe Premiere Pro software to categorize teachers’ professionalism. Furthermore, this study also describes the relationship between interests, beliefs, and the teaching process of teachers. This type of research is qualitative research with a case study method. 19 (nineteen) teachers from 11 (eleven) junior high schools in Padang, Indonesia were selected as research subjects. The research process has a reasonably long duration. At the beginning of the study, teachers were given the training to develop learning videos using Adobe Premiere Pro software. This software was chosen because it is challenging to use and is considered suitable as a medium for developing teacher digital literacy. The training was carried out in 5 meetings. The training is carried out by experts in their fields, from getting to know the tools to video rendering. Afterward, the teachers were given a questionnaire to determine their interest in the training. In addition, teachers are given open-ended questions to see teachers' beliefs in using technology in learning. The final stage of this research is to observe learning using observation sheets. This study found three types of teachers using technology: Technologically advanced teachers, technologically routine teachers, and technologically naive teachers. Technologically advanced teachers believe that technology plays an essential role in learning. Technologically routine teachers are teachers who sometimes use technology in the learning process, and technologically naive teachers are teachers who do not use technology in the learning process.
