Abstract

This article discusses the implementation of religious moderation values in the context of Gospel proclamation in Indonesia as part of Christianity's approach to maintaining harmony and interfaith dialogue. This study aims to examine how Christianity carries out its mission of evangelism in a way that reflects love and avoids potential conflicts, using a descriptive-analytical approach. Gospel proclamation grounded in love emphasizes an inclusive attitude and respect for differing beliefs without compromising one's own faith. Through principles of justice, balance, tolerance, and compassionate leadership, this study finds that Christianity has the potential to create harmony within religious diversity and to encourage a more robust process of religious moderation in Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract

Buku Model-model Teologi Kontekstual karya Stephen B. Bevans menawarkan kajian mendalam tentang enam model teologi dalam berbagai konteks budaya: Model Terjemahan, Antropologis, Praksis, Sintesis, Transendental, dan Budaya Tandingan. Bevans memaparkan model-model ini sebagai kerangka untuk menghubungkan Injil dengan realitas budaya yang berbeda, dengan argumen bahwa teologi pada dasarnya bersifat kontekstual dan dinamis. Setiap model memiliki kekuatan dan kelemahannya sendiri, tergantung pada konteks dan tujuan teologis yang ingin dicapai. Bevans mengajak pembaca untuk menyadari bahwa tidak ada satu model yang berlaku universal, melainkan masing-masing model menawarkan wawasan yang berharga untuk situasi yang berbeda. Karyanya menjadi apresiasi terhadap keberagaman pemikiran teologis serta seruan untuk keterlibatan yang lebih mendalam dengan budaya dalam refleksi teologis. Buku ini menyediakan beragam pendekatan yang penting bagi para praktisi dan akademisi teologi kontekstual yang ingin memahami dan menerapkan teologi kontekstual di dunia yang pluralistik dan terus berubah.

Abstract

Angka bunuh diri remaja terus meningkat secara global, menimbulkan keprihatinan yang mendalam bagi masyarakat. Penelitian ini berfokus pada analisis dampak era post-truth dalam meningkatnya angka bunuh diri pada remaja, dengan meneliti peran lingkungan sosial dan media sosial. Era post-truth, ditandai dengan penyebaran informasi yang tidak selalu didasarkan pada fakta dan kebenaran, telah menciptakan tantangan baru bagi kesejahteraan mental remaja. Melalui metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur dan teknik pengumpulan data secara tertulis, studi ini memaparkan tentang lingkungan sosial dan media sosial yang telah terpengaruh dengan era post-truth. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa eksposur remaja terhadap kalimat-kalimat dan konten-konten yang salah atau menyesatkan dalam lingkuan sosial dan media sosial menyebabkan perubahan pola pikir dan pandangan tentang diri sendiri dan dunia sekitar. kalimat-kalimat dan konten-konten ini memuat kekuatan sugesti dan membuat remaja mengalami secondary traumatic stress. Hal ini mempengaruhi keadaan batin remaja dan berpotensi terhadap tindakan bunuh diri.

Abstract

This study aims to uncover the role of the Holy Spirit in the mission of the church, with a focus on analyzing the writings of the Synoptic Gospels and the Book of Acts. The research also identifies the practical significance of the Holy Spirit's role for the contemporary mission of the church. The method of library research is utilized to gather data from various relevant literature sources. The findings of the study indicate that the Holy Spirit plays a crucial role in the presence and ministry of Jesus in the world. Furthermore, the Holy Spirit empowers disciples to become effective witnesses of Christ. These findings have practical implications that are relevant to the church today. The church is expected to consistently honor the person of the Holy Spirit as the driving force behind the mission, to submit to Him in the task of mission, and to acknowledge His authority in carrying out the work of God's mission in the world. This research provides a strong theological foundation and practical guidance for the church to fulfill its mission with the power and wisdom of the Holy Spirit.

Abstract

Spiritual leadership requires more than just theological knowledge or preaching skills. Emotional intelligence is one of the essential elements of leadership, enabling leaders to recognize, manage, and utilize emotions effectively. In the context of church leadership, this ability becomes crucial in dealing with pressure, conflicts, and wise decision-making. This study examines the relevance of emotional intelligence in church leadership by referring to the story of King Solomon in 1 Kings 3:1-28. This narrative highlights how wisdom and emotional sensitivity were employed to resolve conflicts fairly. The analysis connects modern emotional intelligence with biblical principles, demonstrating that emotional intelligence significantly contributes to decision-making based on emotional control, empathy, and effective communication. This research aims to enrich the understanding of church leadership and enhance the quality of leadership among God’s servants.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the theme of Living Water through a cross-textual reading of the Dewa Ruci narrative in Javanese tradition and the account of Jesus with the Samaritan woman in John 4. Using the cross-textual reading method, this research identifies similarities, differences, and points of convergence between the two narratives. The integration of these meanings is employed to formulate a contextual theology model that combines the biblical message with the symbolic richness of Javanese culture. The findings are expected to contribute to the development of a theology that is relevant, communicative, and rooted in the Javanese cultural context..

Abstract

This research is based on the problem of the lack of a contextual approach in proclaiming the Gospel to the indigenous Dayak Kerambay community, which often positions local culture as something that contradicts the Christian faith. As a result, the message of the Gospel is frequently difficult to accept and less relevant in the context of the local community’s life. The purpose of this study is to analyze the concept of Tompo in Dayak Kerambay beliefs and to bring it into dialogue with the biblical concept of God as Creator as a form of Christian theological contextualization. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research with a theological-contextual approach, conducted through literature review, analysis of biblical texts, and examination of the cultural understanding and local beliefs of the Dayak Kerambay community. The results of the study show that the concept of Tompo can be theologically reinterpreted as a means of introducing God as the true Creator without negating local cultural identity. This approach has proven effective in bridging the Christian faith with local culture, strengthening the acceptance of the Gospel, and encouraging the church to view culture as part of God’s saving work in human history. Thus, contextualization becomes an important strategy in presenting a Gospel that is relevant, transformative, and faithful to its essence.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 telah mendorong gereja untuk beradaptasi diri ke dalam era digital yang semakin mewarnai kehidupan global. Gereja harus memvariasi kehidupan pelayanannya menggunakan perangkat digital agar tidak mengalami stagnasi dalam pelayanannya, sehingga pelayanan online menjadi keniscayaan sebagai bagian dari respons gereja dalam menjalani Amanat Agung Yesus Kristus serta memengaruhi pertumbuhan iman jemaat, namun pengaruhnya terhadap transformasi iman masih membutuhkan kajian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjawab bagaimana digitalisasi memengaruhi transformasi iman Kristen serta peluang dan tantangannya bagi pelayanan gereja dalam mendukung pertumbuhan spiritual jemaat. Dengan metode kualitatif deskriptif melalui observasi dan wawancara, penelitian ini melibatkan jemaat dan pemimpin gereja di Karanganyar, Jawa Tengah, yang telah mengintegrasikan teknologi digital sejak pandemi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adaptasi gereja terhadap era digital memberikan dampak positif terhadap transformasi iman jemaat, karena jemaat tidak sekadar beribadah yang dibatasi oleh ruang dan waktu, melainkan bisa melakukan peribadatan melampaui ruang batas waktu yang variatif. Situasi inilah yang akhinya menjadikan teknologi sebagai alat strategis yang mendukung misi gereja di era modern serta membuka peluang pelayanan yang lebih inklusif, relevan, dan transformatif di era digital.
