Abstract

This article examines community empowerment strategies in Muntigunung village, which is the poorest village in Bali. To alleviate the basic problems faced by local communities, the Muntigunung Environmental Development Program was developed with a special focus on the air, economic, health and education sectors. With the aim of improving the economy and creating productive jobs, products were developed from natural resources that already exist in Muntigunung, such as cashew nuts and palm sugar. This was then continued with the development of new products made from rosella, mango and moringa. The aim of this research is to determine the empirical problems that occur. The author emphasizes the role of the Company in empowering the community in Muntigunung village in terms of the forms and obstacles in carrying out its activities. The method in this research is a qualitative method to produce descriptive data, both in the form of written and verbal expressions from people and observed behavior. The author also intends to understand the meaning contained so that he can find the essence conveyed in this empowerment. It is hoped that this essence can find sources of prosperity contained in the community empowerment strategy in improving welfare in Muntigunung Village. The community empowerment strategy in Muntigunung Village has brought significant changes in various aspects of community life. Economic development, improving education and health, infrastructure development, as well as women's empowerment and environmental conservation are some of the areas that have experienced improvement. This success shows that with the right approach, community empowerment can create sustainable change and improve the overall quality of life.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) memiliki peran strategis dalam pembangunan ekonomi nasional. UMKM memiliki beberapa keunggulan diantaranya dapat mengatasi pengangguran yakni mampu menyerap tenaga kerja, menciptakan kesempatan kerja baru, membuka lapangan kerja baru, dan juga sebagai solusi usaha untuk masyarakat kecil. Salah satunya UMKM Bali Giri Bamboo yang membuat produk kebutuhan peralatan makan dengan bahan baku dari bambu, seperti sendok, garpu, gelas, tumbler, strow (sedotan), pisau roti, box untuk tempat kosmetik, dan tempat tisu. Adapun solusi yang diberikan yaitu (1) Pelatihan dan pendampingan untuk mempromosikan produk melalui website, (2) Pelatihan, pendampingan dan pembuatan konten untuk memasarkan produk melalui social media instagram; (3) Pelatihan, pendampingan manajemen usaha yaitu perencanaan dalam bisnis yang dilakukan untuk mencapai target bisnis; (4) Pelatihan, pendampingan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan tenaga kerja dalam proses produksi pembuatan peralatan makan berbahan baku bambu dan pembuatan laporan keuangan berbasis digital. Metode yang digunakan untuk website, instagram, manajemen usaha dan laporan keuangan adalah pelatihan dan pembinaan. Hasil pelatihan dan pembinaan digital marketing pada UMKM Bali Giri Bamboo melalui penggunaan website, selling from Instagram, manajemen usaha serta laporan keuangan. Dengan melakukan digital marketing dan manajemen usaha diharapkan agar dapat bersaing, tidak hanya dalam negeri tetapi juga diluar negeri

Abstract

Melasti Dewa Cili is an expression of gratitude to Ida Sanghyang Widi Wasa for having obtained abundant agricultural fruit through rainwater that comes from sea water. The purpose of this study is to study the Melasti ceremony and symbolism of the Chilean gods: Exploration of spirituality in Hindu Kutuh traditional village, South Kuta, Badung. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection is observations, interviews and documentation, data collected are analyzed descriptively interpretatively. The results of research show that (1) the Chilean word God consists of two words namely God and Chili. The Sanskrit word God is the root of the word div which means light. God means the sacred light Ida Sanghyang Widi Wasa or manifestation of God. In the village of Kutuh, the symbol of the goddess of Sri was made of a padi tied filled with a Bali Hindu wreath called the Cili God. (2) The purpose of the wages is as described above but the worship of the gods of Cili has more meaning than the expression of gratitude because the Lord Almighty the people have obtained abundant harvest/products of agriculture through the rainwater whose source is the sea. (3) The series of wards of the Gods of Cili include: (a) melis, melasti, mekiis which means the wards in Hindu religion that are generally aimed at purifying themselves inherently and internally; (b) nyejer means upholding, the qualities of God that exists in the human being; (c) masinah means light, bold, sure; (d) century war means the life of man visiting the Tri Kona: utpati (birth), sthiti (living), and pralin (death); (e) maprani means paying wages as an expression to the feelings of Gods.

Abstract

This research is descriptive and analytical, utilizing a quantitative approach. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, with a total of 30 respondents. Data were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire and processed with SPSS software. The results of the study indicate that: (1) Service quality has a positive and significant effect on the sales turnover of creative cart traders in Denpasar City's MSMEs, as evidenced by a t-value of 9.159 and a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05, suggesting that improving service quality will increase the sales turnover of these traders. (2) The non-cash payment system does not have a significant effect on the sales turnover of creative cart traders in Denpasar City's MSMEs, as shown by a t-value of 1.385 and a significance level of 0.177 > 0.05, indicating no influence of non-cash payments on sales turnover. (3) Service quality and the non-cash payment system collectively have a significant simultaneous effect on the sales turnover of creative cart traders in Denpasar City's MSMEs, with an F-value of 42.037 and a significance level of 0.000. The determination test results show that the variables of service quality and the non-cash payment system affect sales turnover by 73.9%, while the remaining 26.1% is influenced by other variables outside of this study, such as price, product quality, and promotion.

Abstract

By exploiting the potential of art and culture that exists in Paksebali Village, this can be a prominent and sustainable tourist destination. The synergy between the craftsmen group and the tourism sector will not only boost the local economy, but also ensure that this rich cultural heritage is preserved and appreciated by future generations. Innovation in craft products that combines local cultural elements with modern trends. While previous research mostly deals with Although previous research mostly discussed the tourism potential in Paksebali Village, this article focuses on craftsmen who can create various types of products that are attractive to tourists, such as Endek Cloth Weaving Craft, Tedung, Prada Bludru Craft, Lontek Craft, Gambelan Bali Craft, Topeng Bali Craft. This diversification helps attract tourists who have a variety of preferences. This qualitative research was conducted in Paksebali village, Dawan Subdistrict, Klungkung Regency, Bali. Data was collected using the combination between in-depth interview and  observations. The informants who participated in this research are craftsmen in Paksebali village, as my case studies. The findings show that through synergies between the craftsmen group and the tourism sector, there is a mutually beneficial exchange of value. Tourists gain experience and quality products, while the craftsmen gain the opportunity to increase their income and expand their market. In addition to economic benefits, these collaborations also have an impact on the preservation of local culture. Craftsmen products often reflect the history, tradition, and identity of a region. With increasing tourist interest in these products, the group of craftsmen is encouraged to continue to preserve and develop their expertise. Craftsmen in Paksebali Village can help increase the village's attractiveness as a tourist destination, while maintaining and preserving local cultural heritage. It is recommended that Craftsmen in Paksebali Village is expected to improve quality and innovation in craft products, setting up a craft centre or gallery, working with tourism agencies, conducting digital marketing and promotion, improving the packaging of craft products to make them more attractive, actively participating in exhibitions and festivals as well as cultural preservation and education.

Abstract

The community service conducted by STB Runata in Blahkiuh Village aims to support the preservation of local culture and increase the competitiveness of business actors through creative and collaborative approaches. This activity includes three main focuses, namely: (1) the creation of promotional content in the Subak area as an effort to preserve cultural heritage and strengthen traditional agriculture-based tourism attractions; (2) product packaging assistance to Jaje Begina MSMEs to improve the visual quality and selling value of traditional processed products; and (3) a visit to the incense medium industry to identify the potential and challenges faced by local industry players in the aspects of production and marketing. The total number of participants who attended this activity was 80 (eighty) people. The method used to solve the problems was to conduct socialization activities, training and assistance in packaging, labeling jaje begine MSME products and creating content in subak. The results of the activities showed an increase in awareness of the importance of digital promotion, packaging innovation, and the potential for developing local products based on cultural and spiritual values. This service is expected to be the first step in strengthening a sustainable local business ecosystem based on local wisdom.

Abstract

Tulisan ini membahas komodifikasi budaya dalam konteks tari Kabasaran, tarian perang tradisional masyarakat Minahasa, yang kini telah mengalami transformasi menjadi atraksi wisata. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan observasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka terhadap bentuk pertunjukan tari Kabasaran dalam acara pariwisata. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa tari Kabasaran mengalami penyederhanaan gerakan, modifikasi atribut, serta pergeseran makna. Meskipun memberikan kontribusi ekonomi dan pelestarian budaya, komodifikasi ini juga menimbulkan risiko hilangnya nilai sakral. Oleh karena itu, keterlibatan komunitas lokal dan regulasi budaya sangat penting dalam menjaga otentisitas warisan budaya ini.Kata Kunci: Komodifikasi Budaya, Tari Kabasaran, Pariwisata Budaya, Minahasa, Atraksi Wisata.

Abstract

In this research discusses how English is learned by beach traders in Sanggigi, Indonesia. The globalization and technology on the rise, having strong English skills is becoming increasingly important to be competitive in various fields, including tourism. This study uses qualitative methods, specifically ethnography study, to examine how these traders acquire English language. The research explores two main approaches: formal education (courses, high school) for those with a traditional learning background, and informal learning through listening, remembering, imitating, and direct interaction for those without formal schooling. Based on the results of data analysis conducted by researcher, can conclude that the second language acquisition on the beach traders Sanggigi is through several processes, namely: traders who have a formal education base in obtaining a second language, such as Following Course Institution, high school and second language that can be through lectures. and traders who do not have a formal school education background get a second language through Listening, Remembering and Imitating, and experience directly.

Abstract

Fish cracker UMKM is an inseparable part of the fishermen's family, has an important role in the family economy. Increasing the role of women through the development of productive economic businesses is one of the efforts to empower women in utilizing fishery resources, which has implications for increasing the income of fishermen's households. With the involvement of women in supporting the family economy, difficulties in meeting the needs of life can be reduced. This community service activity aims to improve knowledge and skills in processing fish cracker products. Community service activities were carried out in Serangan Village, South Denpasar District. The total number of participants who attended this activity was 7 (seven) people. The method used to solve the problem was to conduct socialization activities, training and mentoring of fish crackers as well as packaging, product labeling and content creation. The results achieved were an increase in knowledge, understanding and skills of participants in the field of fish skin cracker production process and packaging, attractive labeling and content creation on Instagram social media. Partners stated that this activity was in accordance with the needs of partners, namely being able to empower the community, especially fish skin cracker business owners in Serangan Village.

Abstract

Renon Village is located in the South Denpasar District, Denpasar City, Bali. Renon Village has a fairly extensive livestock sector with significant potential for business development, both in the livestock sector and in the livestock sector. One of the livestock products found in Renon Village is skin crackers. The purpose of this community service project was to empower Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and the community in Renon Village, Denpasar, through the development of chicken skin chips and tempeh chips production businesses as alternative home-based businesses. The background to this activity was the high potential of local raw materials that had not been optimally utilized, as well as the community's need for business opportunities that could improve family finances. The implementation methods included socialization, training in raw material processing, production process mentoring, and the handover and use of production equipment. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' skills in processing raw materials into marketable products, the emergence of entrepreneurial motivation, and an increase in knowledge related to business management and simple marketing strategies. Through this activity, the community is expected to be able to independently develop chicken skin chips and tempeh chips businesses, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of local SMEs and driving economic growth in Renon Village, Denpasar.
