Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to identify the dominant factors affecting the efficiency and effectiveness of research activities at STIE Ganesha through the application of the Pareto Principle. Variations in research performance among teams, particularly in terms of outputs, timeliness, and resource utilization, serve as the foundation for this analysis. A descriptive quantitative method was employed, involving lecturers participating in research and community service grants during 2024–2025. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires, structured interviews, and documentation reviews. The findings reveal that limited research facilities and inefficient use of funds account for 79.6% of research obstacles, while other factors—including team collaboration, time management, institutional support, and research outputs—contribute minimally. These results highlight the need for strategic prioritization in strengthening research infrastructure, improving financial efficiency, and implementing evidence-based research management. The Pareto Principle proves to be an effective decision-making tool for optimizing research resources and developing more targeted and sustainable institutional research policies.

Abstract

The number of the world's population continues to increase every year in line with the increasing rate of economic growth, the rate of population growth, and the rapid development of the industrial sector. So that an increase in energy demand is inevitable. Human energy needs are obtained from the conversion of fossil energy sources, either directly or indirectly, which can have a negative impact on the environment and the health of living things and inefficiencies. The burning of fossil energy sources causes air pollution (acid rain, smog and global warming) where acid rain causes soil and waters (lakes and rivers) to become acidic. For agriculture and forests, the acidity of the soil will affect the growth of crop production. In the waters, acid rain will cause disturbances for living things in it. So that the number of human activities in increasing economic growth becomes more and has an impact on the environment, especially in the use of energy sources for the needs of households, industries and so on with the increasing use of fossil energy causing various problems, especially for the environment which uses a lot of fossil energy. This study generally aims to (1) Determine the form of implementation of sustainable development policies (2) Factors that inhibit and support the implementation of sustainable development policies. This research was conducted with descriptive qualitative research. Where in this study using triangulation using an inductive method, the results of qualitative research emphasize more on meaning than generalization. With the results of the study, fossil energy consumption has a big impact on the environment, especially through greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Sustainable economics emphasizes the importance of meeting today's needs without sacrificing the capabilities of future generations. And with public awareness of the impact of fossil energy consumption is critical in the transition to a sustainable economy. And although there are many opportunities, there are several challenges that need to be faced in implementing a sustainable economy on fossil energy consumption. So the researcher suggested increasing education and awareness and bureaucratic reform.

Abstract

Kata kunci: Geo-digital branding; kearifan lokal; ekuitas merek; UMKM; telur asin Brebes   Abstract This community service initiative aims to strengthen the branding of salted egg Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Brebes Regency through a geo-digital approach rooted in local wisdom. The primary issue identified was the weak management of individual MSME brand identities; consumers tended to recognize the product based on its region of origin ("Brebes salted eggs") rather than specific producer brands, while digital media usage was limited to basic transactions and simple promotions. The activity was conducted via a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on July 4, 2026, at the Sengon Village Hall in Tanjung District, Brebes Regency, involving stakeholders from local and village governments, community facilitators, MSME operators, and higher education institutions. The results indicated that Brebes's geographical identity and local wisdom values—such as the history of generational production, traditional methods, and the product's connection to coastal community identity—hold significant potential as brand strengths. The initiative produced a geo-digital branding model integrating three key components: geographical identity (digital mapping of business locations), local wisdom values (authentic storytelling), and digital technology utilization (optimizing social media, marketplaces, and location-based platforms). This model is expected to strengthen brand equity, enhance the competitiveness of local products, expand digital market access, and support sustainable regional economic development based on local potential.
