Abstract

Zakat is an Islamic economic instrument with significant potential to support social welfare and poverty alleviation in Indonesia. However, previous studies have largely examined zakat management from institutional, normative, or digitalization perspectives separately, while limited research has integrated data-driven management as a comprehensive framework for optimizing zakat collection and distribution. This study aims to analyze the optimization of data-driven zakat management in supporting poverty alleviation in Indonesia and proposes an integrated perspective linking data utilization, digital technology, and mustahik empowerment. The study employed a qualitative approach using library research. Data were collected from scholarly books, journal articles, official reports of the National Board of Zakat (BAZNAS), publications of the Center for Strategic Studies of BAZNAS (Puskas BAZNAS), Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) data, zakat regulations, and other relevant academic literature. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, encompassing data collection, data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal three main points: first, data-driven management can improve the accuracy and effectiveness of zakat collection and distribution; second, the utilization of digital technologies, including zakat information systems, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, and Geographic Information Systems, strengthens evidence-based decision-making and the targeting of mustahik empowerment programs; and third, fragmented databases, limited data quality, human resource capacity, and data security remain major challenges. Practically, the findings provide a strategic basis for BAZNAS and Zakat Management Organizations to develop integrated, secure, and evidence-based zakat management systems that enhance institutional accountability and strengthen zakat’s contribution to sustainable poverty alleviation in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of transformational leadership of the founder of the Karang Bumi Santri Foundation in improving the performance of the caretakers of the Bustanut Tholibin Semanding Tuban Islamic Boarding School. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed inductively. The results of the study indicate that the transformational leadership model applied by the founder of the foundation, especially H. Subagio, focuses on vision, inspiration, exemplary behavior, and individual attention to the caretakers. Uniquely, the caretakers do not come from dzurriyah kyai, but are appointed based on competence by the foundation, so that the relationship between the foundation and the caretakers is functional and contractual. During the 2021–2025 period, there were three changes of caretakers as a form of continuous evaluation. The caretaker's performance was assessed not only from scientific competence, but also from managerial abilities, discipline, communication, and the suitability of the vision with the foundation. This finding confirms that transformational leadership plays an important role in creating stability, sustainability, and progress of Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

Kepemimpinan tradisional masih sangat melekat dalam dunia pesantren. Seorang kyai memiliki peranan ganda yaitu sebagai pemuka agama (ulama) serta sebagai agen sosial yang dianggap mampu menyelesaikan semua permasalahan dalam masyarakat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini memiliki implikasi penting dalam upaya memperkuat peranan kyai dalam menghadapi kemajemukan masyarakat. Kyai kharismatik berhasil menjembatani perbedaan budaya, memberikan pelajaran berharga bagi upaya-upaya membangun kohesi sosial dalam masyarakat yang beragam. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, dengan desain penelitian bersifat eksploratif dan interpretatif, analisis menggunakan pendekatan tematik untuk mengidentifikasi pola-pola utama dalam data, seperti manifestasi kharisma, strategi komunikasi kyai, dan respon jamaah dari berbagai latar belakang budaya. Tradisi kepemimpinan religius di Indonesia beradaptasi dengan konteks sosial yang berubah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya fenomena kyai kharismatik yang mampu menarik jamaah multikultural menunjukkan bagaimana elemen tradisional dan modern dapat berjalan beriringan dalam konteks keagamaan. Kyai yang berhasil menarik jamaah beragam umumnya adalah mereka yang mampu mempertahankan otentisitas tradisional sambil beradaptasi dengan kebutuhan kontemporer. Kemampuan kyai untuk mengkomunikasikan pesan-pesan universal agama dengan cara yang relevan secara budaya menunjukkan bagaimana kepemimpinan religius dapat menjadi agen pemersatu daripada perpecahan.

Abstract

Digital transformation and the dynamics of customer needs demand adaptive and customer-oriented marketing strategies in the Islamic banking industry. This study aims to analyze the customer-centric differentiation strategy implemented by Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) KCP Tuban in marketing pre-retirement financing products. With a qualitative approach through interviews and field observations, this study reveals that personalized advisory strategies, hybrid services (offline and online), and the use of digital technology such as the BSI Mobile application and chatbots are key to increasing customer engagement and satisfaction. Innovation through the #SiapPensiunTenang digital campaign and the use of customer data for service personalization also strengthen the competitive position of BSI KCP Tuban. The results of the study show that a customer-centric marketing approach can significantly increase interest in pre-retirement financing products and strengthen customer loyalty in the midst of a competitive digital era. These findings provide theoretical contributions to the development of Islamic marketing literature as well as practical implications for Islamic bank strategies in optimizing the pensioner market segment

Abstract

Early Childhood Education (PAUD) plays a strategic role in shaping children’s early development, with parental involvement serving as a critical determinant of program effectiveness. This study examines the marketing strategies employed by TK Al Hikmah Muslimat NU Tuban to enhance parental participation in early childhood education. The findings indicate that clear market segmentation, positioning based on Islamic values, and consistent communication through digital platforms contribute positively to parental engagement in school activities. Despite these strengths, parental participation remains constrained by time limitations and persistent perceptions of parents as passive recipients rather than active educational partners. This study highlights the importance of developing flexible and interactive partnership models supported by digital communication to foster sustainable parental involvement. The findings offer practical insights for PAUD institutions seeking to strengthen parent–school partnerships through strategic marketing approaches.

Abstract

analyzes the relationship between economic growth and poverty reduction in Tuban Regency, focusing on the period 2019 to 2025. Although Tuban's GRDP shows a stable growth trend, this study reveals an economic paradox where the poverty rate only experiences a marginal decline. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach, applying growth-poverty elasticity to measure the effect of economic growth on poverty reduction. The results of the regression analysis show that the increase in GRDP does not fully contribute to poverty reduction, with a regression coefficient of -0.0981, indicating a very small effect. In addition, factors such as job quality, food inflation, and spatial inequality also play a significant role in slowing poverty reduction. Based on interviews with BPS officials and local MSMEs, it was found that although economic growth exists, the unequal distribution of the benefits of growth is a major obstacle to poverty alleviation. This study recommends that economic and social policies be more inclusive and focus on improving the quality of employment, stabilizing food prices, and reducing spatial inequality so that economic growth can have a greater impact on poverty reduction in Tuban Regency.

Abstract

Pengawasan pemilu merupakan elemen penting dalam menjaga integritas dan keadilan proses demokrasi, terutama di Indonesia yang kerap menghadapi tantangan seperti praktik politik uang, kecurangan, dan pelanggaran hukum. Keberadaan Badan Pengawas Pemilu (Bawaslu) menjadi krusial untuk memastikan pemilu berlangsung jujur, adil, dan transparan. Di Kabupaten Tuban, pelaksanaan Pilkada 2024 menjadi perhatian utama, mengingat meningkatnya partisipasi politik masyarakat dan kompleksitas tantangan pengawasan di daerah tersebut. Untuk mendukung pengawasan yang lebih efektif, aplikasi Siwaslih hadir sebagai solusi teknologi yang memfasilitasi pelaporan real-time oleh pengawas TPS. Aplikasi ini memungkinkan pengawas untuk melaporkan temuan secara cepat dan akurat, serta meningkatkan transparansi melalui pengumpulan data yang dapat dianalisis oleh Bawaslu. Implementasi aplikasi ini diharapkan dapat mempercepat penanganan pelanggaran, meningkatkan efektivitas pengawasan, dan memperkuat kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap hasil pemilu. Dengan demikian, aplikasi Siwaslih berperan penting dalam memastikan bahwa proses demokrasi di Kabupaten Tuban berjalan secara efisien dan kredibel.
