Abstract

Almost every aspect of human life has been influenced by advances in information technology (IT) in recent decades. These advances have redefined the way we communicate, work, and interact with each other. Bulus oil is one of the traditional products that has long been known in Indonesian culture. It comes from the process of processing bulus fat, a type of freshwater turtle (genus Amyda), which is considered to have many benefits, especially for health. However, the process of promotion and management of information at Dayat Bulus Oil Household Production has not yet maximized the development of computer technology. To facilitate sales at Dayat Bulus Oil Household Production from ordering to transactions, as well as accurate and updated information that can be viewed without having to come directly to the Dayat Bulus Oil Store, the author provides a solution for building a web-based information system. In this study, the author uses the RAD method to develop the system and UML to model the system framework created. This method is designed to accelerate software development by reducing planning time and prioritizing rapid functional prototyping. The language used in this study is PHP. The results of this web-based information system research provide consumers with the ability to view various information directly from anywhere and anytime. Then, it makes it easier for the store to monitor all operations, such as checking orders, viewing sales reports, and providing the latest information to customers and visitors.

Abstract

Abstract - This research aims to build a system where employees of the geological survey center can find out the location of other employees' workspaces and make it easier for them to move workspaces. So far, employees find it difficult to know the location of other employees' workspaces when there are work-related needs. The unavailability of a system that can inform employee data and where their workspace is, makes it difficult for those who need it. Another thing that often happens there, is the matter of moving workspaces. The unavailability of a workspace system in the Geological Survey Center makes it difficult for employees to find a room that suits their needs. Some of the things that are considered by an employee to move workspace are workspace facilities. In the process of moving rooms, of course, he needs to know what facilities are owned in the room he will occupy and whether there are still empty desks available for him. Therefore, a workspace information system built with an object approach and waterfall development method. The result of this research is a room and employee information system application which is then tested using black-box. The test results show that the system works as expected. Keywords: Information System, Workspace Information System, Geological Survey Center, Object Oriented, Waterfall Abstrak - Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun sebuah sistem dimana pegawai pusat survei geologi dapat mengetahui lokasi ruang kerja pegawai lain dan memudahkan mereka untuk berpindah ruang kerja. Abstract

Many teachers struggle to utilize technology to create interactive, creative, and innovative learning media. They often face challenges in selecting and using the wide variety of available learning tools, which leads them to rely on traditional methods such as textbooks. Additionally, the lack of skills in using technology-based media, such as infographics, hinders their ability to enhance the quality of teaching in line with the demands of the digital era. This study aims to describe the implementation of infographic training as an alternative learning media at SMPN Satap 2 Palangka Raya. The training was designed to enhance teachers' competencies in utilizing information technology, especially within the limitations of available resources. Using the Assets-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, the training leveraged existing facilities such as school laptops, smartphones, and premium Canva accounts. The training activities included an introduction to infographic design, hands-on practice with Canva, intensive mentoring, and an exhibition of participants' works. The results indicate that the training was conducted as planned with active teacher participation, despite technical challenges such as limited internet connectivity. This training also highlighted the importance of sustained support, such as providing adequate technological infrastructure by schools and local governments, to improve the effectiveness of similar programs in the future.

Abstract

A Case Study on a Web-Based Roti Online Sales Information System Cakes and Pastries by RO Despite RO Bakery & Cake's best efforts, digital technology has failed to keep up with the industry's rapid expansion. Several problems arise because of business operations that are still primarily manual. The time it takes for the sales administrator to get sales data from each shop and the frequent occurrence of missing or damaged papers are two common problems. An information system is required by RO Bakery & Cake to generate online papers and sales reports to streamline the company's operations and ensure timely delivery to the administrative staff at headquarters. The research was carried out using a waterfall model, which consists of the following stages: (1) data collection (through observation, interviews, and literature reviews); (2) data analysis; (3) system design based on analysis results; (4) system development (using PHP and an object-oriented programming paradigm) and (5) black box testing to ensure the system is functional. The result of this research is a web-based bread sales information system that has 2 users, namely admin and spg outlet. Each user has different access rights according to their respective job duties and responsibilities. The benefits of this research are expected to reduce the risk of delays and damage during the product request process because documents are received by the admin through the system in real time. In addition, the admin can view and present sales data in the form of tables and graphs as support in deciding.

Abstract

This study uses a mixed-methods approach to examine the perspectives of snake owners in Indonesia regarding snakes, venomous species, and snakebite management. A survey was distributed to 1,109 respondents, with 109 participants) forming the core group for analysis. The research aims to assess snake owners’ knowledge about venomous snakes, handling snakebites, and myths surrounding these reptiles. Findings indicate that while the public generally fears snakes, many reptile enthusiasts in Indonesia keep snakes as pets for reasons such as hobby, conservation, and education. However, a significant gap in knowledge exists regarding the identification of venomous versus non-venomous snakes, with some respondents unable to distinguish between them accurately. Additionally, while most respondents recognized the importance of immobilization following a snake bite, some still believed in outdated and dangerous practices, such as suctioning or cutting the wound. The study also uncovered that while most participants view snakes as ordinary creatures, a small portion still holds superstitions, such as believing snakes are evil spirits. This perpetuates fear and misunderstanding of snakes. In conclusion, the research highlights the need for better education on snake identification, proper bite management, and debunking myths to improve the safety of snake keeping in Indonesia. Increased public awareness and accurate information can help mitigate the risks of keeping snakes as pets and foster a more informed and responsible approach to reptile care.
