Abstract

Optimal public service is one indicator of the success of village government in responding to community needs. However, in Lahar Village, the public complaint process is still carried out manually, such as verbally or by hand, so it is prone to data loss, slow in handling, and less transparent. This condition indicates the need for a system that is able to digitize the complaint process to be more effective and efficient. This study aims to design and build a website-based public complaint information system to improve the quality of public services in the Lahar Village government environment. The methodology used includes direct observation, interviews with village officials, and literature studies as the basis for system design. System development is carried out using the PHP programming language and MySQL database. The expected results of this study are the creation of a computerized complaint information system that is easily accessible to the public, and supports the process of recording, handling, and monitoring complaints in a more transparent and structured manner. With this system, it is hoped that public services in Lahar Village can be significantly improved, both in terms of time efficiency and data accuracy.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the PSAP (PeopleSoft Account Payable) information system in improving financial management accountability at Hotel Z. Accountability is an important element in organizational governance, particularly in the process of recording and paying company obligations. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques were carried out through direct observation, semi-structured interviews with financial staff (Accounts Payable, General Cashier, and Accounts Receivable), and documentation. Data were analyzed using the triangulation method and reviewed using two analytical frameworks, namely accountability indicators (SOP, supervision, responsibility, reporting, evaluation) and the PIECES framework (Performance, Information, Economics, Control, Efficiency, Service). The results of the study indicate that the implementation of PSAP has supported accountability through the presentation of accurate financial data, stricter supervision, and efficiency of the reporting process. However, there are still technical obstacles, such as decreased system performance during high transaction loads, errors at the closing of the accounting period, and user errors that result in duplicate payments. Based on these findings, it is recommended that management improve system capacity, conduct regular training for users, and carry out continuous evaluation to ensure the system runs optimally. This research contributes to strengthening information system-based accounting practices in the hospitality industry, as well as being a reference in decision-making related to accountable and efficient financial management.

Abstract

Background: This study aims to investigate the mediating effect of perceived destination image on the relationship between information quality in user-generated content (UGC) and behavioral intention, with a focus on the intention to revisit Lampung as a tourist destination, while extending the Stimulus-Organism-Response (SOR) model by Mehrabian and Russel. Methods: Based on the tourism context in Lampung, a total of 283 valid responses from domestic tourists were collected and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to test the research hypotheses. Findings: The indirect path analysis results show that cognitive image significantly mediates the relationship between representational information quality and social information quality on behavioral intention to revisit, while affective image serves as a significant mediator in the relationship between representational information quality and contextual information quality on behavioral intention to revisit. Interestingly, this study also found that intrinsic information quality has a significant direct effect on behavioral intention to revisit. Conclusion: These findings contribute significantly to understanding how destination image influences tourists' perceptions of different types of information quality in shaping their intention to revisit, while also highlighting the complex interplay between humans and technology in the context of tourism. Novelty/Originality of this article: This study extends the Stimulus-Organism-Response (SOR) model by examining the mediating role of cognitive and affective destination images between different dimensions of UGC information quality and tourists’ behavioral intention to revisit.

Abstract

This study investigates the usability of the TALENESIA Human Resource Information System (HRIS) through Jakob Nielsen’s heuristic evaluation framework. The evaluation identified 34 usability issues, comprising five critical and 29 major problems. The most commonly violated heuristics included Visibility of System Status, Recognition Rather Than Recall, and Error Prevention, indicating significant barriers to user efficiency and satisfaction. To address these concerns, a series of interface redesigns was developed based on expert recommendations and user-centered design principles. The redesigned interfaces were subsequently validated through structured feedback sessions involving both usability experts and end users. The validation phase revealed that 85% of the proposed changes were fully approved, confirming the practical value of the improvements. These enhancements led to a more intuitive, responsive, and error-tolerant system experience for users. The study highlights the importance of heuristic evaluation as a diagnostic tool and demonstrates how iterative redesign—guided by usability principles—can significantly improve the effectiveness and user experience of HRIS platforms. Ultimately, the research offers both a methodological contribution to usability testing and practical insights for organizations seeking to optimize their digital HR systems.
