Abstract

Abstract

Improving the quality of work performance is an essential aspect for employees at the Office of Investment and Integrated One-Stop Services of Central Sulawesi Province. Many challenges remain in managing asset data, especially because the recording and monitoring processes are still performed manually. This manual approach often leads to inconsistencies, inefficiencies, and difficulties in determining asset eligibility. Therefore, an information system capable of supporting accurate and efficient data management is highly needed. The main objective of this study is to apply the Naive Bayes algorithm to classify asset conditions in a web-based system, enabling faster decision-making and improving the accuracy of asset feasibility assessments within government institutions. The dataset used in this study consists of three key attributes asset functionality, asset age, and physical condition. These attributes serve as indicators for classification using the Naïve Bayes probabilistic approach. The developed web-based application was evaluated through black-box testing to ensure that all system functions performed according to expectations and produced consistent outputs. Black-box testing results show that the system successfully provides correct outputs for each test scenario, verifying that the classification and data management processes operate properly. The application is able to classify assets into feasible or non-feasible categories based on calculated probabilities. Findings indicate that implementing the Naïve Bayes algorithm significantly improves the efficiency of asset data processing and enhances data management quality. The system also supports more objective decision-making regarding asset feasibility. This study demonstrates that probabilistic classification can be effectively integrated into governmental asset management systems to optimize operational performance.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of accounting information usage, creativity, and education level on the success of culinary SMEs in Pekanbaru, as well as the moderating role of financial literacy. SEM-PLS analysis on 132 SME actors reveals accounting information usage positively influences success by enabling better decision-making and operational efficiency through valuable, scarce resources per RBV theory, while creativity drives success via product innovation and competitive uniqueness; however, education level lacks impact as practical skills outweigh formal education in this context. Financial literacy strengthens the creativity-success link by helping implement innovative ideas strategically, but fails to moderate accounting usage due to its direct interpretability and education due to unrelated optimization needs. These findings stress prioritizing creativity, financial literacy, and accounting practices for SME sustainability.

Abstract

This research focuses on a significant factor in the natural language processing area, which is extracting information from unstructured textual data through efficient methods in order to pull useful insights and structured representations from this data. This research attempts to boost the effectiveness of information retrieval systems through computational analysis. This paradigm is explored in this work using question answering models in an extractive style, a modern information extraction approach, creating a new methodology combining the topic segmentation based on headings detection (TSHD) segmentation algorithm and deep learning methods. The TSHD algorithm breaks documents into sections in which certain topics are addressed. Refined extraction models are then used to process these disjoint segments leading to more accurate and contextjudicious extraction compared to naive whole-document extraction approaches. We empirically validate this approach using the stanford question answering dataset (SQuAD) 1.1 dataset, with a specific adaptation to resumes. Experimental results show that the performance metrics increase by 7.4% in exact match (EM) and by 7.8% in F1-score. This can be concluded from these results illustrating the feasibility of the proposed approach in the automated information extraction frameworks such as resume processing.

Abstract

The motivation behind applying artificial intelligence (AI) in information retrieval (IR) is that the current methodologies include algorithms designed by researchers, leaving space for the applicability of genetic AI algorithms in IR. While different algorithms designed by developers rely on the originality or performance of the algorithm, precise results are achieved through integrating AI algorithms with traditional algorithms. The proposed methodology introduces document structure weighting with optimized performance. It is enabled by employing genetic algorithm and genetic programming for learning optimal weights in ranking document components. The Croft probabilistic ranking, vector space inner product models, and the BM25 standard were compared with each other after AI integration. Genetic algorithm and genetic programming were applied in the stemming and thesaurus forming processes of these models. Inducing genetic algorithm and genetic programming into the specified models increased the mean average precision of the Croft model and the vector space method by approximately 5% while there were no observable result improvements in BM25. It was found that applying genetic algorithm and genetic programming in learning synonyms and stemming rules, respectively, increased the overall performance of IR models, emphasizing the need for AI in IR.

Abstract

Oil palm plantations require accurate and timely plant census data to support effective management decisions related to productivity, replanting, and maintenance activities. However, conventional manual census methods are constrained by long processing times, inconsistent data quality, and high susceptibility to human error. These limitations hinder the early identification of abnormal or missing palms and delay operational planning. To address these challenges, this study developed an integrated digital census system using a Web-based Geographic Information System (WebGIS), GPS-enabled Android mobile applications, and drone-based photogrammetry. The research employed the Waterfall Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), consisting of requirement analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. Spatial and non-spatial data were collected through field observations, interviews, GPS coordinates, and UAV imagery. The system was developed using PHP, MySQL, and GIS-based visualization tools, while mobile components utilized GPS navigation to guide field staff in locating abnormal trees. Analysis of census data revealed that 799 out of 47,404 trees (1.68%) were classified as abnormal or missing, a population loss that can significantly reduce potential yield. The GIS-based system demonstrated substantial efficiency improvements, reducing census duration from 7–8 months to 1–2 months in Observation Area 1 and from 4–5 months to 1 month in Observation Area 2. Drone photogrammetry enabled more accurate detection of canopy gaps and validated field measurements. System testing showed that all functional modules performed correctly, and User Acceptance Testing yielded a Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.821, indicating strong user acceptance and instrument reliability. Overall, the integrated system enhances data accuracy, accelerates census operations, and supports site-specific management in alignment with precision agriculture principles. The results highlight the system’s potential to significantly improve operational efficiency and sustainability in oil palm plantation management.
