Abstract

Student organizations play an important role in shaping students' personality, leadership, and managerial skills. One organization that actively carries out this role is the Indonesian Islamic Student Movement (PMII), especially at the rayon level. This study aims to explore and analyze the various factors that caused the work program not to be implemented during the management period of PMII Education Management Rayon at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. Through a qualitative approach with interview methods, direct observation, and document analysis, it was found that out of a total of 38 programs designed, only 10 programs could be implemented as planned. The main obstacles identified include weak internal coordination, conflicts in activity schedules, limited human and financial resources, lack of evaluation and monitoring systems, and conventional archive management. The results of this study confirm the need for improved communication systems, internal leadership training, digitization of documentation, and periodic evaluation as strategic steps to strengthen organizational governance. The findings are expected to serve as a reference in developing a more effective and sustainable student organization management system.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine and describe comprehensively the process of public relations planning in improving the school's image at SMAI Al-Hamidiyah Sungai Ambawang, the implementation of public relations activities in supporting the school's image, the evaluation of the public relations program as part of the image improvement strategy, and various efforts that have been made by the school in strengthening public relations. This study applies a qualitative approach with a case study research type. Data validity was carried out through the application of four main indicators, namely credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The results of the study indicate thatFirst All school administrators were involved in the public relations planning process at SMAI Al-Hamidiyah Sungai Ambawang. Planning was carried out systematically and in detail through an annual meeting that outlined the entire public relations program agenda. Second Public relations activities are carried out according to plan, where public relations has the main task of conveying information about all school activities to the community. Third Program evaluation refers to school service standards and is carried out routinely by internal and external parties Fourth Public relations improvement efforts are focused on increasing access to information for the public through updating existing media such as website school.

Abstract

Many phenomena of self-harm lately have occurred in the lives of adolescents when adolescents are unable to deal with disappointment, sadness and anger. This research uses a qualitative research method with the "Life History" method approach is used as a method that aims to reveal parenting patterns, causes, triggering factors, the process of self-harm, and strategies to stay away from four teenage students who do self-harm. This research shows that there are some differences and similarities between the perpetrators with each other in terms of parenting patterns, ways of doing self-harm, current conditions, and strategies for letting go of self-harm habits. The cause of adolescents doing self-harm in this study is their parenting style with a background of harsh upbringing, lack of appreciation, anger, comparisons with others, and physical violence, even though there are other parents who are very academically supportive. and non-academic children. Friendship and love problems are another cause for adolescents to self-harm in this study. Counseling provides effective healing for adolescents who self-harm. The approach involves emotional closeness with others, motivation for achievement, acceptance of reality, and drawing closer to God.

Abstract

The quality of educational facilities and infrastructure plays a crucial role in creating an effective and conducive learning environment, especially in religious-based schools such as Islamic boarding schools. However, students’ learning interest is also influenced by various other factors. This study aims to determine the influence of the quality of facilities and infrastructure on students’ interest in learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMP El Dzikr Islamic Boarding School Kecamatan Bulu Kabupaten Sukoharjo in the 2024/2025 academic year. This research employs a quantitative approach with an associative type of study. The sample consisted of 30 eighth-grade students selected through total sampling. The main instrument used was a structured questionnaire, which had been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson Product Moment correlation, and simple linear regression. The results indicated that both the quality of facilities and students’ learning interest fell into the “moderate” category. However, statistical tests revealed no significant effect between the quality of facilities and learning interest (r = 0.336; sig = 0.070). This suggests that while there is a positive trend, the effect is not statistically significant.

Abstract

This article aims to comprehensively analyze and elaborate on the crucial role of marketing management and educational information systems (IS) in improving the quality and operational efficiency of educational institutions in the digital era. The primary objective is to present a conceptual framework that integrates these two disciplines to achieve more effective and sustainable educational goals. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach through library research. Data were collected from various academic literature sources discussing marketing management, information systems, and educational management. Data analysis techniques were conducted descriptively by synthesizing and interpreting information to build arguments and conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the synergy between educational marketing management and IS is fundamental. Strategic marketing management requires accurate data from IS to identify market needs, develop relevant programs, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Conversely, IS provides the technological infrastructure to manage student, staff, curriculum, and financial data, all of which support marketing decisions. This integration enables educational institutions to respond to market dynamics, increase accountability, and achieve competitive advantage through optimal use of data and technology.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the existence of students coming to school late, quarrelling with their friends, not doing schoolwork, neglecting the regulations made by the school, and littering. This study aims to describe: 1) Student discipline, 2) Student self-concept, 3) Relationship between self-concept and student discipline. This study uses a descriptive quantitative method with a correlational approach, which aims to describe and analyze data, and determine the relationship between self-concept variables and the discipline of class X students at MAN 1 Pasaman. The sampling population using the total sampling of the entire population is 52 students in class X. The instrument used in this study is a questionnaire. The data analysis in this study is percentage and correlation. The results of this study show that 1) Students' discipline is in the high category.2) Students' self-concept is in the high category.3) And there is a significant relationship between discipline and students' self-concept (0.305) the hypothesis is accepted that there is discipline towards self-concept. Increase discipline in the aspect of obeying school rules. BK teachers on student discipline problems perform group services

Abstract

Education is the foundation of civilization that shapes quality individuals, requiring curriculum adaptation and a deep understanding from educators as key prerequisites. Educators' understanding of the curriculum is a vital key that influences planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning, and has high urgency given the dynamics of curriculum change and the demands for sustainable education quality. This study aims to identify the level of educators' understanding, the factors influencing it, as well as the direct and indirect impacts on the learning process and outcomes. Using a qualitative approach with a case study at Daarul Qur'an International Primary School, this research involves educators as participants. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis, then analyzed thematically. The results show variations in educators' understanding of the curriculum, influenced by training, pedagogical competencies, positive perceptions of curriculum changes, school principal support, adaptation challenges, participation in professional learning communities, resource availability, and digital literacy. Curriculum understanding positively correlates with teaching performance. In conclusion, educators' deep understanding of the curriculum has a significant impact on the quality of the learning process and outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between sibling rivalry and achievement motivation among students at SMPN 2 Koto Baru. The research is motivated by the observation of problematic behaviors such as verbal and non-verbal aggression toward siblings, failure to complete assignments, absenteeism, and tardiness in class. A quantitative descriptive approach with a correlational method was used in this study. The population consisted of 30 students, all of whom were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using the product moment correlation technique to assess the relationship between variables. The findings indicate that the level of sibling rivalry among students is categorized as low, as is their level of achievement motivation. The correlation analysis revealed a very weak relationship between sibling rivalry and achievement motivation. The novelty of this research lies in its focus on the local context and the exploration of sibling rivalry as a factor influencing academic motivation at the junior high school level—an area that remains underexplored in quantitative studies. These results offer valuable insight for school counselors to design targeted interventions that promote a growth mindset and social skills development, thereby supporting students' academic motivation and overall well-being.

Abstract

Aqidah Akhlak learning in madrasahs often faces challenges related to monotonous teaching methods and a lack of active student engagement. To address this issue, innovative learning strategies are needed to improve students’ learning outcomes through more interactive approaches. This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the Card Sort method on students’ learning outcomes in Aqidah Akhlak subjects at MTs Negeri 1 Karanganyar in the 2024/2025 academic year. This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, involving 32 eighth-grade students as research subjects. The instruments used include questionnaires, observation sheets, and achievement tests. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, including Pearson correlation and simple regression tests. The results showed that the implementation of the Card Sort method was at a high category, and students’ learning outcomes significantly improved, with an average score of 90.47. The correlation test showed a very strong relationship between the Card Sort method and learning outcomes (r = 0.893; p < 0.05). The implication of this study highlights the importance of using active learning methods to improve conceptual understanding in Aqidah Akhlak and foster student participation in the learning process.

Abstract

This study explores various aspects of Qur’anic memorization (tahfidz) management, including planning, organization, implementation, control, and other influencing factors. This research employs a qualitative case study approach, utilizing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The research design follows a qualitative descriptive method, as the researcher aims to uncover facts and interpret the management of Qur’anic memorization at Al-Husainy Islamic Boarding School in Bima. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman analysis model. The results of the study show that the Qur’anic memorization management implemented by Al-Husainy Boarding School in Bima has a social impact on the students within the pesantren environment. The students are motivated to take part in the tahfidz program, as it serves as an upgrading initiative for them. From a management perspective, this program enhances the quality of Qur’anic education for students by addressing common challenges such as poor recitation, unmet memorization targets, inconsistent memorization methods, and the selection of Qur’anic manuscripts. This study holds significant relevance in the context of Islamic education, as Qur’anic memorization is one of the core pillars of religious learning in Islam.
